Good hotel with a decent size room. Enormous water pressure in the shower.. Great little restaurants downstairs just off the lobby. Excellent location just off 5th Ave. Around the corner from a building owned by a pathological lair in love with himself to the point he has to put his name on everything, so security is pretty bonkers.

I've been to the one hotel, Parker meridian, and Chambers. Chambers is nice if you want an old hotel with character. However, it was not as nice as some of the other hotels in the area for a similar price

An awesome industrial styled hotel. Definitely unique experience than other hotel chains. The beddings are very comfortable and all decors show a sense of craftsmanship. Hotel staff are very nice and the service quality is great. The terrace room gives an extra relaxation realm between city and indoor. Also check out the artworks on each floor as well as in your own room.

Our stay at The Chambers Hotel was excellent! I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay at a chic /Modern Hotel right in the heart of midtown. We've stayed in many hotels in NY and I must say ,this was perfect. The staff especially Ty Green couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. The room is so comfortable and the shower was amazing. Great restaurant inside and all around the area, not to mention Central Park is a few blocks away along with great shopping. Call Ty to hook you up with a great experience in NYC!!!!

Comfortable stay, pillows like clouds. The breakfast is not worth it unless you're in a hurry, see my photos. They could use more outlets. The head butler, Jose reassures users that they will have an excellent stay and does his best to accomplish this. However the best thing about the Chambers, besides the pleasant staff, is the rain shower!! This is the best shower I have ever experienced. You can feel the force yet it lands directly on your head. I found out later that this is due to more than just the type of shower head, has to do with the plumbing. Close to Trump tower and Central Park.

Gracious, elegant in the center of everything. The duplex on the 12th floor can make you feel like a King or Queen or any sort of royalty. The staff are generous. Staying here embodies luxury with understatement.

This place is awesome! Great service (they say "welcome back" when you return). Nice rooms with a hip tilt, cool phones and drawing paper provided! Also, they have babysitting available if you need.. Slightly noisy at times but it's not bad. If you feel like staying in, they have a heap of movies you can grab from the desk for free. Showers are awesome and will wake you right up!

Last November, I went to Manhattan for an event and wanted to stay somewhere within walking distance of the venue. After a lot of review-reading, I settled on The Chambers Hotel because of its location, price, and amenities. It was right where I wanted to be, affordable especially compared to the other surrounding hotels, reviews seemed fair, and they offered extras to their guests. I stayed in a standard single-room, per the pictures I included.

The best way to describe it is the Chambers is a "boutique hotel"; small, sophisticated, and fashionable. A lot of wood and glass, colorful accents, simplistic rooms. You don't really notice it from the street as it's just a couple of huge, braided wooden doors. Guest services meets you at the door and escorts you in. Inside, the entry is inviting, clean, and warm (with a fire going).

I was able to schedule personal transportation to and from the airport with them. You just need to contact the front desk before or during your visit to set it up. The driving service they use can be billed to the hotel (e.g. your room) and the drivers were extremely patient and polite; especially during my arrival as my initial flight in was delayed. The driver went out of his way to get to me through nasty airport construction and traffic, flight delays, and landing in a completely different concourse. Just saying, they were great, and worth the money.

The Chambers provided me with a pleasant and clean room with an honest to goodness key, not plastic. It was outfitted with a stocked mini-fridge, a table of snacks and wine, and they offered both a turn down service with complementary bottled water and a paper at your door each morning. I wasn't able to take advantage of all that they offered, since I was in and out for business, but everyone was extremely pleasant, the space was comfortable, the room service (in my case for tea, coffee, etc.) was quick. And sure, it'll sound silly, but the bed was heaven and the shower was spectacular. The bed - firm, roomy, plenty of squishy pillows. The shower - the shower is outfitted with a large, rain-style head. You can be 6+ feet tall and stand under the powerful blast of non-stop heat.

Again, in terms of location, you are between 5th and 6th street on W 56th and are within walking distance of some notable stores and iconic fashion houses (Tiffany & Co., Gucci, Dior, Fendi, Bloomingdales, Apple, etc.), convenient shops (think grab and go food and Walgreens), and restaurants. There are plenty of places to get coffee; Zibetto Expresso Bar, Starbucks, etc; or a cocktail. On my last night there, I decided to stay in and order out for La Bonne Soupe, a wonderful French restaurant around the corner. Brought it back to my room and vegged in bed as I watched my Netflix. Best french-onion soup e-v-e-r.

But I digress. If/when I get another opportunity to return, I will certainly make a point to re-book at the Chambers, if availability permits. They went out of their way to make sure my stay was a wonderful experience.

From start to finish this was a fantastic experience! Every detail was perfect Jose and his big smile made sure of it.

I loved that they didn't nickel and dime on every little nicety that we received. Things like sparkling water, and internet service.

Jose told us proudly that our shower was the best in the world and I think that he may be right.

My wife is a clean freak (and bug freak) so she checked the mattress and linens. There is a service label on the mattress indicating that its either cleaned or tossed every three months. Maybe that's a common thing but I've never been aware of it if it is.

I read a review that said the rooms were small. We thought that they were modest but very comfortable. The fixtures were new, modern, and fit the decor. I really appreciated the foam pillows.

The room was a little warm and couldn't be adjusted any cooler. On the up side, the large casement windows opened easily to let in cool air. Ironically we visited my brother who was staying at the Ritz Carlton. His window only opened 4" and was broken in that position. ....it's the little things in life :)

It was quiet. I like that.

We loved the location (only steps from all the action), but oddly none of the drivers knew where it was or had heard of it.

Thanks for a great experience. We'll be back.

I booked this hotel based on the positive reviews and the website photos, but this hotel really wasn't my style. It turned out to be very dark with very limited, poor lighting. Has very limited counter space in the bathrooms and had very few, if any amenities. The person that checked us in was not very friendly, said very little and didn't offer to provide any info about our stay in the hotel. So, not the best start to our stay. However, everyone else was very friendly and accomodating. On the plus side, this hotel has a great location and was very quiet. It provided basic comfort, but we will definitly choose a different hotel for our next visit to the city.

Awesome hotel! Stayed here on our honeymoon and will never forget the hospitality we were shown. Amazing corner rooms with huge windows, thick glass and proper black out curtains to ensure the perfect balance of city views, quietness and cool darkness for quality sleep in the comfiest king size beds. Champagne and cookies delivered to our room was just one of the sweetest touches of our stay. Would definitely return. Highly recommended.

I met my friend in the lobby of the hotel and used the rest room at the restaurant. Lobby was pretty and staff was friendly and helpful. Can't say anything about room, service or food since I have not used any of these.

Have been meaning to write this review for several months now, but just never found the time. My husband and I loved our stay here. We were in the city to visit family and to go to the theater. Weather was great so we enjoyed walking around Central Park and to Times Square. Our room was quiet and clean and was very comfortable. The restaurant (ma peche) and staff were exceptional.

An excellent and not very expensive place if you want to stay in Manhattan. Near metro, Central
The park. There are many different restaurants around. Breakfast is very basic, better to have breakfast at the nearby Bred @ Butter, great choice and not expensive. It is better to settle above the 3rd floor.

This place was phenomenal from the first second we walked in the door. Jose (concierge) was hands down the most helpful New Yorker I have ever met. I only wish I had more than $8 cash on hand to tip him. I have stayed in several 4 start hotels in Manhattan. This one blows them all away.

We stayed at The Chambers this last weekend, it was outstanding! The staff is so warm and accommodating! You feel like you are at home when you stay there. We sat in the Mezzanine a couple times and it was great! They had tea and fruit and comfortable couches to lounge on. You are close to everything!! We will stay there again and again!!!

This is my favorite hotel in NYC. It s located in a central locations but super quiet once you step inside the massive doors. Everything about the hotel has been thought through and the rooms are beautiful. One caveat is the restaurant is terrible. Overpriced and not good, so skip the restaurant and just stay at the hotel. Joes Shanghai across the street and sushi too are good options if you get hungry and don t want to go to far.

Stayed at the Chambers in Early December. Great hotel, suites are very spacious larger than typical New York rooms, really cool looking rooms, really feel like a cozy apartment. It is a small hotel and front desk and staff were very helpful, and the Ma Peche (Momofuku) restaurant was quite good.
