Don't come here if you're selling a monitor. They offered me less than 20 quid for my 1 year old 23 inches monitor with a market price of 140

It's ok but not as good as it use to be but I think that's because there are more around now
There is chaos here. The CEX shopping experience is never more challenging than the weeks leading to Christmas. Stock changes rapidly. I made two online purchases for the same type of phone and on both occasions the stock picking failed, despite only ordering from phones in stock. The delay in informing me the stock picking failed is a disaster when the shopping days left are whittled away. I visited a store in person and the staff are barely friendly. Some are borderline rude. If you want to shop here you can lump it or leave kind of vibe. So I got what I wanted and it took me a long time and I paid more than I wanted (more than online price for same phone) so I leave three stars. The guy who served me was friendly enough, and that saved the day, he kept the final score from dropping to one star.
It is not 5 stars because some things are poorly explained, but the store has a lot of new and used equipment, you should only pay attention to the type of equipment A, B or C that would be a level of defects in the equipment used. Very good for those who don't want something new.
Good CeX actually. Wouldn t recommend selling phones at any CeX here, wanted to sell a phone and got offer way below the selling price.
The best Cex store in London. Everytime I've been here I've had great service, unlike ulster stores they will be more than likely to buy most things regardless of stock levels so if you have an item get it checked here!
Cheap Blu rays and games, what more is there to say
This store is really good for selling your old gadgets for cash or a trade
Very good place where to buy and sell dvds, blu rays and plays
Crazy busy at times but overall good experience. Everyone is really friendly.
Awful customer service - laziest and most unattentive team of service staff you will ever meet. Dont dare expect an apology if you raise your concerns with management, they will dismiss it/deny it.
Waited over an hour and 10 minutes to complete a basic transaction! Avoid this branch like the plague
Went to 3 different stores to find a place compatible for testing a device we wanted to sell and this was the last, all of them had sweet people trying to help but we were pleasantly surprised again at how kind this store's staff were. I'll recommend this place first to friends who want to buy/sell things, I wish you were more appreciated :)
Excellent customer service. Knowledgeable staff happy to help.
Buy a laptop on Tuesday, this store is tasked with dispatching it. Goes through picking and packing and is assigned a tracking number with UPS. Then 5 days later it still has not left the shop, just shows as awaiting collection by UPS. Rubbish.
Rather expensive place to buy second hand kit plus the staff are rude
they have almost everything, i can't believe i found .an xbox 360 controller still in stock.
Definitely a very old CeX, feels a bit like a dungeon. Good stock though!
This is one of their older stores. I have bought a couple of PS3 games from here in the past and all good value. I am not daring enough to buy tech from CeX as I prefer to buy brand new but if I did want second hand stuff, I would certainly consider them first.
Huge selection of DVDs and games! Great Prices too!
You can trade alot and buy good deals but if you are trading a specific item probably call first because they might not take it. I tried to exchange my guitar amp and even though they sell them they would not take mine due to it not being a specific make.
Helpful and knowledgable staff who took the time to really help me
Long wait, no order for customers but they do have stock. Pity the service is soft & steaming
Good selection of tech, although it isn't the biggest of stores
excellent chain of videogames and used electronics in general. the prices are very good, highly recommended for bargains
Lovely staff, they didn't have what I wanted but that's ok because they can't be expected to have every item that is listed on their website...they did try to see if they had the product in a nearby store which was very helpful
Best place to buy second-hand console games, DVD's, Blu-Rays, and 4K Blu-Rays which they sell at affordable prices. They also sell Second-hand mobile phones and iPads, Cameras, Computer Monitors. Many of their second-hand electronic items are reasonably priced, but are not cheap.
Exactly the kind of experience I remember back when this branch first opened, glad to see the spirit of those days still alive in an age when shopping is painfully vanilla, its refreshing to come out of a store with a smile, look after these guys, Cex!
Amazing service, fantastic people, and great prices
i have no time for a company that is not contactable by telephone. I remember in the past you could, but now you just get an automated message advising you to contact them via email/facebook/twitter.
I would like to speak to someone at the shop to find out if they are done testing or not, but can't as they are no longer contactable by phone.
Last time I sell anything to them...
Rude, intimidating staff treating customers as criminals.
Good for when you want to get rid of old electronics but the test times are rediculous. They take 2 hours to test what stores on the same road test in 20mins and give a better price for.
Selling games and dvds is worth your time but if your selling your electronics there are far better options spitting distance from this store
Bought a Nintendo switch here, the console was in really good condition with all original accessories, however the original box. Happy with the 48 month warranty, even if it is only for an exchange to a similar item or in store credit. Staff were friendly and helpful
Decent shop for bargains if you know what you want and can compare online, staff are helpful and knowledgeable etc.
No nonsense.
No hassle.
They dealt with my trade-in promptly.
They also offer to email the voucher instead of me coming back which was handy.
Had a bit of an issue with a phone that I purchased at this store, I was a bit frustrated when I had to go back and had to wait some time at the desk, but Luke the manager at the time solved my situation in a very profesional and friendly manner, will come back.
Despite there being no customers i still had to go and ask for assistance in this store as the 5 staff members seemed to be far more interested in their mobiles phones and talking to each other. Also worth noting that when selling items to this CEX store they off no where near the prices offered online or at other CEX stores. If you protest or try to haggle you're told where to go!
Been using CEX since the late nineties. Professional service every time, whether it be technology., entertainment, phones etc. I can't fault them. Also great warranties and warranty period on every product, never had an issue if there was anything wrong ! They also offer repair services on certain products, call ahead to find out more.
Good place to find used games, phones or consoles. You can sell your old items too but don't expect the best price.
I tried to sell an original Sandisk micro sd, bought on western digital store (official Sandisk retailer).
The guy ran a visual test in few minutes and told me that is not official because the print is not fine according to his standard.
So after that I went to Curry s in Oxford Street and their specialist told me that is 100% original.
And after that I went home and ran a test with H2Testw (that took almost 6 hours) that confirmed the card is in perfect condition and storage full capacity.
Stay away from the store, the so called expert are just incompetents and uncaring.
Broad range of products, pricewise, not the cheapest.
Not always the best option but it s always a good option
Awful service. Last year I bought a Samsung Galaxy S6 online and everything went smoothly. This year I wanted to upgrade to an S7 Edge. I found one through the stock checker in the Brixton store, it looked fine so I bought it. I inserted my new SIM card and nothing happened - I was told that I should turn the phone on and off after 20 mins. Still nothing.
Next day I went back to EE who informed me that the phone was stolen so I went to CEX in Tottenham Court Road to return it. I was immediately greeted with suspicion as though I was trying to pull some kind of scam. The Brixton branch had not only sold me a stolen phone but had given me a non UK plug charger. The Tott Court Road guy kept repeating "they shouldn't have given you that..." with suspicion as though I was trying to pass return something that their wonderful staff would simply never have provided in the 1st place. The level of suspicion was immense.
I tried to explain several times that the phone was stolen - they guy kept asking me "what network is it tied to?" It was sold as unlocked and good for any network yet he kept repeating the same question. Finally they took it back for testing and insisted I come back an hour later which was impossible for me. After the test they "informed me" that it was stolen (duuuuh!)
The manager then weighed in in quite a clumsy way telling me they could only refund to the same card I had bought it on. I spent 20 mins calling Amex to check it wasn't that card so then gave my other card which I was sure what the one I used but at this this stage the manager told me that I needed written proof from the card company that I had indeed paid with that card.
At this point we were an hour in and I needed to get back to work. He hadn't told me this before I had spent 20 mins dialling Amex. After a bit of moaning and complaining from me, CEX Tottenham Court Road finally and begrudgingly refunded me for the stolen phone and dodgy charger they had provided.
I won't be going back for my next phone... Awful experience
No possible way of contacting this shop. The number provided is automated and redirect you to go to the website or if its very urgent to go online and contact them via facebook? What kind of customer service is this?
Like it was when it started. Very dark and small but loads of goodies to choose from. Staff are helpful
The manager seriously irritated me, i tried to sell a S3 smart watch, boxed in perfect condition, he classed it as a B rating due to dust.. I clean it and he tells me its STILL B.
So I take it to another Cex they buy it as A rating at full price with no issue.
I recommend you dont sell at this cex unless you want to be ripped off
Pleasant staff and so many retro games at affordable prices, it's insane.
Very helpful as alwayd. The place to go for used electronics
Nice, cheap, second-hand computer accessories. Staff are friendly and helpful too.
I've been shopping in Cex for years. Never had a bad experience in this branch.
We always go into a Cex when we come accross one. It's hit or miss whether they have exactly what you're looking for but on the whole we rarely leave one without making a couple of purchases.
Decent prices on second hand tech and games, although some items are more expensive than you can get elsewhere.
Staff are all teenagers who clearly don't want to be there. They will interact with customers like they're talking to their parents right after they've been told they can't go to a gig tonight.
Great stock, friendly service, excellent value for money
Staff very professional. Got quote in less than 20 mins, yet quote wasn't satisfying due to company policy I presume.
My fine condition PS4 was rejected for trade-in because of it being the asian produced model. Just for some advice
Good rolling stock, typically quick service. No complaints.
Have bought a few things and if I had any problems the returns policy was fair l would recommend Cex
One of the best CeX stores, and one of the originals with Rathbone Place nearby being the other. Great team and a nice experience.
Always come here for great value second hand stuff. All of then with warranty and great cosmetic condition
This is a good second hand tech store that sells games and music. It also stocks and sells second hand consoles, tablets, phones, PC s etc. When you know what you are looking for, check their website for the product. You can then learn of its availability in stores. Pricing is very competitive and there is an excellent warranty period of 2 years on everything.
Great deals in movies ,games, gadgets..if you trade.
I Ducking hate this CEX specially they ducking useless & racists as well i stop going they like 2-3 years i'm so happy i stop going they mark my words they going out of business trust me on that.
Good customer service specially the guys called Christian and the other gentleman name i forgot but they helped me alot.
Pure experience overall. Staff seemed uninterested in helping witch is odd as store was recently refitted and re-disigne encourages customer-staff interactions. Also can't say that it definitely happened but earlier this year I sold two items, staff pushed me to accept that products were B Grade but oddly enough I've seen same items listed in store as A Grade.
Not a great cex. Sellers of 2nd hand phones, computer hardware, dvds and video games. Miserable staff, the place is unclean and rundown, items aren't always what they claim to be. Be careful when buying a phone from here and double check that it's the model that they say it is.
