Good center but some Doctors is rude specially Dr. Alvarez de Toledo. He is rude and arrogant. I am trying to raise a complain but I can find the email of complain on website.

Very unhappy for your service. I went there recommended and felt like a number. Nothing personalized. They have so many people that cases that are not normal like mine do not offer any alternative study. I felt frustrated. .Very advanced ophthalmology center with credability and long history, all subspecialitirs / procedures available , EXCELLENT medical and paramedical staff/service , serve pts from allover the world with other educational and charity programs, serve a lot of patients ( expect waiting ), but quality of medical services and results are beyond expectations , I am a doctor myself and had a complex eye problem was turned down at other centers and was managed at BARRAQUER perfectly from all aspects diagnostic and surgical and medical treatment. I recommend this center and its staff especially the senior doctors who treated me and their medical teams DrSamaan and Dr. Javier Elizalde :) without hesitation.

In emergencies I treat excellent although a good waiting time (> 1h). In consultations, specifically Dr. Early, I do not doubt his professionalism as a doctor, otherwise he would not be in that clinic but the treatment was vexatious. Would I have a bad day? I do not know and if I can I will never know because I prefer to change doctors and listen to me to try to give me the best treatment. He did not want to give me any treatment and I had to go to the emergency room a few days later ... The woman at the consultation desk was also quite on edge. The rest of the doctors and staff with whom I have agreed (in urg and tests), a 10, as it should be since no one goes to these sites for pleasure.

Very grateful to this clinic and its professionals from the guard, reception and their ophthalmologists, I am more than delighted with them since last year they have treated me for a detachment of VITREO during pregnancy, I went to the emergency department and Dr. Marta Carrera attended me and I'm happy with her for the interest she puts in everything when she treats it. This is not a clinic, it is a supermarket, I have paid 130 euro to wait more than an hour and a half, queuing for 30 minutes at the reception is incredible in Italy you pay between 150 and 300 euro depending on the visits you have to do but if wait at most 10 minutes is saying so much. I accompanied my mother for a cataract operation and the treatment was unbeatable. Without doubt the best in ophthalmology. I was able to accompany her and at all times we were informed by the doctor who was going to operate her. The nurses were very kind to us and made us feel at home. Congratulations to the center and its entire team.

No respect for patients specially old timers who had done surgery and no consideration for international patients who are coming from abroad to get treatment. They were good few years ago but I can see that their services are becoming below standard. Physicians are impatient to receive questions and try to push the patients away and not taking the matter serious . I am really disappointed with such behavior. Also the nurses attitude with in-patients was not polite.

On of the worst medical centers where we have a better hospitals back in UAE. Moreover, there consternation on how much can they get out you. I surprised that there is still some organization work on paper and the report send by post not email.

The truth is that I was very disappointed, horrible treatment, eternal waiting list, they tell you to go get the glasses at a particular optician that has the super inflated price (the ophthalmologist earns double salary based on commissions). Also to top it off they didn't detect my problem well.

I went yesterday to see if it was possible to have a hyperopia surgery at the Barraquer Clinic and I found a Dantesque spectacle.
- Because of an electrical failure, there were no computers and they made me go around the Clinic to open my file since it was my first visit. I had to go up and down between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors several times.
- Incredibly, in the 21st century, the patient files are blue cards to which are sticking with glue stick papers with your graduation and other information. The cards are circulating around the clinic through staff who leave them in mailboxes that are on the doors of doctors. It seemed like we were in the 60s.
- The people who attend the receptions do not stop talking among themselves wondering about the holidays, the family, insulting themselves in a loving way and do not attend the patient at any time. Very unprofessional

- The building is old and anachronistic. It's like a residential building adapted to a clinic with rooms used to make graduations, nooks and crannies ... a maze badly organized and ill-indicated (I do not even want to think about evacuation in case of emergency).
Summary: I do not doubt that there will be good doctors, but surely there are 100 better clinics in Barcelona to be operated. They have a lot of fame but they have not adapted to the current era.

I was on vacation and visited Barraquer emergency facility (24 hr service) for check up. They were excellent in service. The doctor was professional and explained very well throughout the process. Highly recommended.

Almost a year ago I went. I have a very bad problem. At least they told me that. They were to call me and today they have not bothered to tell me anything.

Fatal. I was attended by dr. It stung (who wears glasses, of course), for a second opinion from another doctor, from another center, who operated on me for Lasik (apparently invented by Barraquer) and that destroyed my eyesight. Quick consultation, to tell me that nothing was happening and that is why they make psychological profiles to know when to operate or not to operate, saying that it is up to me that I complain about seeing completely unfolded when there is little light. That would pass me. He also gave me a speech in which he defended the practice of Lasik.
Well, years later I confirm that I still see the same or worse and the problem, easily identifiable, was that I had a wrong operation and I have pupils that exceed the operated area, which makes me see unfolded when there is less light. It is very common after poorly done LASIK operations. On the other hand, the consultation, which did not last more than 20 minutes, was billed at a very high price that reached almost 300.

Sorry, but I would not return to this center nor can I recommend it, really.
