It is amazing to me that there are so many good reviews of this place. I have never been anywhere more bizarre and unprofessional. I went here to get a psych eval done in order to move forward with a pain pump trial. I got to my apt 15 minutes early and filled out the paperwork. And waited. And waited. And waited. For over 2 hours. FINALLY, I get called back and instead of meeting with the doctor, I met with the billing dept. I explained that I had an HSA and they needed to bill the insurance company who would pay them and then collect payment from me. The lady went and called and confirmed that yes, they needed to bill insurance. She then released me back to the waiting room, where I waited another 30 minutes. Finally I get called back to see the doctor (Ivy Allwell I believe). The first thing she told me is that she needed me to pay the $70. I told her how my insurance works and she said she would have to call them. I said "no, if you really need me to pay it I will pay it. I've been here for over two hours and need to get to work at some point." She had me go out and pay and then I went back in to begin the evaluation.

Shortly after getting in there, while answering questions, the door opens and it is the doctor's mother, with her lunch. After finally getting her mother to leave, we resume the eval and the doctor proceeded to also eat her lunch in front of me. Someone else just opened the door and told her someone named Tom was there with lunch. They closed the door and we resumed. Her mother came back in and told her Tom was there waiting.

A bit later, she got a phone call of someone telling her Tom was there.

All the while she is asking me questions and writing things down. FINALLY, I am released.

Two weeks later, they still have not sent the evaluation results to my pain management doctor. I'm having to get pain management to contact them just to try to get the results.

Oh and the doctor was also wearing flip flops and socks with her outfit. I understand casual work dress but this was just weird. The entire thing was weird. I was not made a priority - the door kept opening and I did not feel like my privacy was protected AT ALL. I am not even sure that the evaluation they did will be what my insurance needs to approve the pain pump trial and I might end up having to do it all over again somewhere else.

Again, I have never been anywhere MORE unprofessional. DO NOT GO HERE.

If i could give a lower rating i would. Ivy Alwell is the DEVIL. She makes you wait hours. She tries to force you into a 6 hour a day program. That's way too expensive and if you can't do the program she becomes very rude and upset. Just heard her yelling at the very nice front desk girl Kristi like she was less than human. Run far away from this place!!

This place is a joke. My wife suffers from Bi-Polar Extreme PTSD, Anxiety, MDD, Insomnia etc. We waited 3 months for this appointment hoping that this would be the one that really cared and could help her. Instead it was a ridiuculous circus. They spoke with us for about 15 min. and took her off all the meds she had been taking for years right away (cold turkey). They agreed to counsel etc. and 5 min. before we left they told her it would be group therapy for 6 hrs. a day. My wife has not left the house in about 4 yrs. with the exception of Dr.'s, Son's emergency, teachers meetings, or the ocassional holiday. We immediately expressed a huge concern in that she will not be able to do that let alone go to the store. They somehow convinced her to try. She did, for 2 days she went, nothing but court mandated people and a bunch of violent kids. Lots of screaming and yelling from patients & STAFF. She was beside herself both days I picked her up. It actually did much more harm than good. I called a meeting with Ivy and her sister. They were rude, she said one of the girls in their made her so angry that "she just wanted to kick her ass" and they were unapologetic. Their attitude was pretty much just get over it. Are you serious? After I explained my wife would not be coming back they refused to treat her any further. We made a new appt. with a real Dr. and they would not maintenance her depression. Even though they took her off all of her meds, put her on new ones with no refills and then denied her any observation of her reactions to the new meds. and being off completely. Everybody knows you are suppose to step down meds., when starting new ones. It's also known that to quit everything can make things 10 times worse! These people in my opinion are a fraud. They pump patients in, promise them hope and help, they say group isn't mandatory but they drop you if you decline. Their primary source of income is group therapy, they put you in there whether you need it or not and bill your ins. I urge all who need real help to find real Dr.'s. Had it not been for her primary stepping up and maintaining her meds until her new Psychiatrist appt. another 3 months away I am sure she would have done something desperate in her hopeless state of mind. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS FAMILY OWNED CIRCUS THEY WILL PUT YOU IN GROUP TO DO NOTHING OTHER THAN COLLECT INS. MONEY THEY HAVE NO REAL CONCERN FOR THEIR PATIENTS WELL BEING AND THEY ARE NOT DR'S ONLY ONE PSYCH THAT YOU SEE FOR 10 MIN. THAT KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT YOU AND IS NOT ACCESSIBLE. GROUP IS ANGRY, UNSETTLING, AND THE STAFF IS AGGRESSIVE PUSHY AND THEY LIKE TO INTIMIDATE!!!! I DON'T THINK THEY DESERVE THE ONE STAR I HAD TO CLICK JUST TO MAKE THE POST!!!

I really like the office staff and Ivy, but they are awful at seeing patients in a timely manner. I have waited anywhere from an hour to 2.5 hours to be seen before. I try to have a life outside of doctor's visits. I will probably start looking for a new psychiatrist.

Ivy Allwell is the WORST! I scheduled my first appt which I arrived 15 minutes early too. I waited 2 hours after my scheduled appt to be seen by Ivy who apologized for the long wait and blamed it on the weather. As Ivy spoke to me she ate her breakfast which was absolutely unprofessional. She scheduled me a month later and told me to bring my husband to this appt. Again I arrived 15 minutes early but had to wait 2.5 hours before being seen. After talking to the rest of the patients in the waiting room, they explained to us that this is normal for Ivy and some patients waited up to 3 hours to see her. Once we were called in Ivy had lunch waiting in her office and ate AGAIN while we were there. She had no recollection of me and had to read her paperwork in front of us to remember my history. DO NOT GO HERE! IVY is a joke and the worst case of unprofessionalism I have ever seen!! If you don't agree with her diagnosis or RX opinion she will become rude, nasty and defensive.

If you don t mind being an hour late for appointme...

If you don t mind being an hour late for appointments, incorrect prescriptions and repeats of these chronic problems then give it a whirl. To sum up the office in general, try to picture this; I called to tell the office I found someone else because of the issues mentioned above and I got the same carefree attitude that creates all of the problems the clients are saddled with.

I believe there is a gross abscence of service from this business. Serve your customers well and we will love coming to see you. We will tell our friends, family and coworkers. At this rate, your doors won t be open long. There are businesses that treat will you with respect and not neglect.

Good luck

This place is the truest example of unprofessional according to it's dictionary definition. My first appointment I waited 3 hours before being seen by the nurse practitioner. It seemed like it went very well and had me hopeful.

My next visit however was a 14 car pile up of a disaster. I was told to bring my wife with me to the second visit so she took her lunch to come with me. My appointment was at 12:45pm, I signed in at 12:40pm and proceeded to wait patiently. Its after 1 o clock before my sign in is acknowledged and I am told I will be seen soon. After 2.5 hours of waiting, knowing I had to go to work, was taking time at work away from my wife, and an empty stomach to boot, I decided I would find a facility that can schedule an appointment and actually keep it.

In essence, this place is great if you love wasting hours of your life with little to no result.

They don't submit correct paperwork for insurance or never submit paperwork to insurance. If you or a loved one is in need of Behavioral Health. Please go someplace else. You don't need to deal with billing issue when trying to take of yourself.

Some of the staff was ok, but then after their service is no longer needed they make up all these false fees. I would not recommend anyone to this place because they are unprofessional and send all these fees to your insurance company but still turn around and add some extra expenses for you to pay out of pocket. If you see or hear this name ever run. Less then a five star.

I've read a lot of negative comments on here and while I agree that the atmosphere is quite unconventional, I have never seen a therapist that did NOT have a significant wait time. Yea the wait is annoying (especially for people with anxiety), but not everyone's issues can be unpacked in the allotted 15-30 minutes and people would be on here complaining up a storm about being rushed out the door if that happened.

I will say that I have seen a ton of different therapists in my lifetime and Ivy has helped me the most. I have achieved the most internal growth and coping mechanisms with her than all of the others before her combined.

To me, you have to weigh the pros and cons. While some of the stuff complained about does happen, so does the good stuff. I'd rather wait longer and get results than be swept in and out without improvement.

I highly recommend. Everyone in the office really is there because it brings them joy to help others, and it shows. The focus is on group therapy, which I was never keen on the idea of it before coming here. The one-on-one time is also incredibly effective. You are treated as an individual where you can focus on any areas that you are struggling with. Please call them if you come across this review looking for help with stress, anxiety, depression, or addiction problems. They will treat you like family.

Save yourself time and avoid this place if possibl...

Save yourself time and avoid this place if possible. My family member who struggles with anxiety reached out to this place to gain more assistance with mental health. The nurse practitioner was late to multiple scheduled sessions, which increases client anxiety when they are in need to talking to a professional. My family member was given a prescription by them, and after one month needed a refill. We reached out to this place requesting a refill, and for one whole week of reaching out through phone, we were told that this was being taken care of . However this was not the case. My family member was out of her prescription for nearly one week because this team clearly does not prioritize their clients. They have also violated HIPAA over multiple occasions. I am honestly surprised they are still a running business.

DO NOT GO HERE. I came to Centrec Care in August 2...

DO NOT GO HERE. I came to Centrec Care in August 2019 because they were close to my home and listed as in network with my insurance. I was told by the billing staff that because I hadn't met my deductible, I would have to pay for my initial visit out of pocket, a $250 charge I was not expecting. I put it on my credit card and saw Ivy Alwell, the Nurse Practitioner, as I was told the doctor was only there once per week.
During my appointment, which was running late, front desk staff kept popping in to tell Ivy she was late for a group she had, interrupting me. She gave me a prescription and refused to answer any of my questions about the medication, simply telling me it wouldn't react badly with the meds I was already on.
The next week, I got an Explanation of Benefits from my insurance that said I would only have to pay Centrec Care $75 because they negotiated off $175. I gave it a few weeks and walked back into Centrec Care with my EOB and asked if the $175 would be refunded. I was told yes, but the billing lady only did refunds on Fridays (this was on Wednesday) so she would hold onto my EOB, wait 2 days, and then process it. When I still didn't see a refund after a few more weeks, I called the office at the beginning of October. I was told by the same woman who said she would do my refund on that Friday that "Ivy spent a lot of time with you. She took pages and pages of notes. You should pay her for the entire time and we don't think we need to refund you."
I called my insurance company and was told they have no right to break a pre-negotiated contract and must refund the money to me. He got them on the phone as well, explained it to them, and when he got back on the phone with me, she hung up on him. I was told to expect a refund but it could take 10-14 business days. 6 weeks later, I called Centrec to no answer. I called my insurance company again and filed a claim and an official report. I hope they take this provider off of their list for customers and I hope no one ever goes here. It's hard waiting for a psychiatrist when you really need one, like I had to, but it's better than going here.
