Our family needed a new deed made for our cottage and Linda and her staff (primarily Matrona) did an outstanding job of providing all the information we needed and then executing the new deed. Top notch, highly recommended!!

I wanted folks out there to know that my father and I have had a very negative experience with Linda Gifford, who is an attorney in Augusta and works for the Central Maine Title Co. We put an offer on a piece of property in this county in 2014 and then decided not to go through with the offer.
We put $2,000.00 dollars down and had to forfeit that money, which we had and have no complaint about. However 2 years later my father received a bill for the title search on that piece of property, which is part of closing costs! A full 2 years later! The bill was over $400.00! My father is elderly, has significant medical issues and is on a fixed income. To say he was stressed about this is an understatement! I tried to reason with Ms. Gifford and explained that, even if she has a legal leg to stand on, it is unethical to bill us for a part of closing costs 2 years later! In the end, she agreed to drop the bill to $200.00, which I am going to pay because I don't want her to contact my father in the future and get him upset again. My reason for posting this review is to encourage people to beware of these kinds of situations because, unless you are an attorney, you will most likely lose.

Not at all pleased with this company. After clearing up a misunderstanding about the closing date, it was very difficult to communicate with them. They don't respond to phone calls or emails. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend .
