Things started out good for my mother once she was...

Things started out good for my mother once she was brought here. But things didn't stay that way. The residence don't have phones in their rooms. There is a community phone in the hallway but good luck getting someone to answer it and get your family member. They do not supply TVs nor cable. Very recently a lot of the CNA staff quit, many more are about to leave on maternity leave. They only see the resident doctor once a month if they tell his nurse they want to see him. They say to tell the shower tech if your toe nails are getting long and they will call the podiatrist. The person that comes isn't a podiatrist but rather a person that doesn't inspect their feet for health but just grind their nails down. Boarding kennels do more for animals than this place does for your family members.

My Sister and I have nothing but praise for the IMCC. Everyone went far and above to ensure that our mother was given excellent care while she she was there. During the time when she was able to communicate, she always said how nice everyone was and how great the care she was given. At the end, even though the center was completely locked down, the two of us were allowed to be with her at the end. That kind act will stay forever in my heart. Also, special shout out to Social Services! they were awesome! Thanx again for everything!

My mother has been here almost 2 years now. Any problems we have had were addressed and solved. They do care for the residents. They have activities daily, the food is good. You can eat anytime with your loved one for free. They might not provide a phone in your room or cable, and wasn't expected. She has her own cell and antenna t.v. would recommend this home.

We put both my grandparents here because they both...

We put both my grandparents here because they both have dementia. Grandpa recently passed away and we were told that a CNA would be coming with us to his visitation and funeral to help with my grandma. We were 40 minutes late to the visitation because communication did not get passed around and we were told that a CNA would not be coming with us. If they did than it would be strictly voluntary and no one would be paid. On top of that, the head admin had a messenger come tell me the news rather than being a woman and telling me herself; she did have time though to walk past us twice while I talked with her messenger.
The residents don't have access to transportation and never get to go on field trips or have a ride anywhere else including funerals. NEVER send your friends or family here!
The CNA's are great but admin is terrible.

We had a very good experience with Independence Manor. Intake was very easy. Knowledgeable professionals were ready to care for our loved one. Special care, along with excellent communication from social workers made all the difference. Nurses worked hard to improve his coordination & strength. Both mental & physical needs were met & above... The staff showed patience & kindness. Very decent & caring place-cafeteria was comfortable and inviting to residents & visitors as well. We cannot say thank you enough.
