Good interior, planned well, but it's a shame that in NYC and food inside is garbage and overpriced, mens room have no dividers, sucks, if someone tickles hard you may get "golden shower "

We went to the N.Y. International Auto show here with my brother and 4 year old son. We loved it. The event was amazing. We have been attending since I was young. Lots of walking. There is very little parking near the venue unless you want to pay 40 to 50 bucks. Plan on taking public transportation. Sunday's you can find some street parking near by around 46th and 11th.

The Javits Center is surrounded by controversy. A grand ceremony was held in October 2006 to mark the 20th anniversary of the center. The ceremony was also announced that the building would expand considerably. New, ultra-modern buildings would be built next to the existing hall. The entire project exceeded the estimated costs by tens of millions of dollars.

After eighteen months, the expansion was halted by a wrong assessment of the cost and hassle of the city of New York. Mayor Bloomberg said he no longer wanted to invest in the expansion. In April 2008, the expansion was stopped and it was decided to tear down the new construction and to thoroughly renovate the existing building. This renovation eventually cost half a billion dollars.

Nice place but got crowded quick.

To be expected in NY, but really annoying when I can clearly see the room had tons of unused space along the walls.

The International Beauty Show as well as the Wellness and Spa Show are sure an iconic Rendez-Vous of beauty and savoir faire, when it comes to total body and hair works, including education and business exposure. Naturally the Javits Convention Center is the Venue par Excellence in NYC. I love it every year.

Before attending Fancy Food Show at the Javits Center. I only knew it as the giant glass structure near where I pick up the Megabus back to Washington, DC. After attending a food expo here, I now know how much more it is. It's one of NYC's biggest convention centers and it's location is perfect! It's on the river on the east side of Manhattan only a half mile from Penn Station and hundreds of hotels.

The convention center itself if enormous with many huge halls. The main lobby areas are glass giving the convention center an open, inviting feel to it. There are Starbucks and food areas sprinkled throughout, but I recommend walking a few blocks to nearby Gotham West Market. It's like a hipster food court serving only gourmet food with accessible prices!

The Javits center, as we locals call it is a perfect convention center that just got better because of one awesome solution: the 7 train now extends all the way to 34th and 11th Ave, just around the corner from the center. So what used to be a good three Avenue walk to public transportation (leaving from the center) or a ridiculous bus ride, is now a simple Subway ride right to the center. I've been there for photo expos, food shows, university graduations, and the center is always run with precision and efficiency

Awesome place to hold events especially with all the glass walls and natural lighting. Also, rest rooms open to the public as well. It lost a star die to the freezing temps in there. Just have a sweater ready if you plan to be there for a while.

This place is really big, the conventions hosted in this building are really nice and is mostly clean. Obviously everything that is food in this center is expensive and you usually can't bring in food but, overall still a go to for New York conventions.

Tough to do business here. $3,000 for an internet connection at a vendor booth is absurd. Going to events as a patron is okay, but working here can be a nightmare. The union presence is a bit strong.

I have visited Jacob Javits over the years to attend various events.
This easily has got to be one of or the largest venues in the NYC area.
But the location of this place is not the most convenient because it is a pretty far walk from most modes of public transportation and parking legally in the area is almost impossible.

Needs a lot more bathrooms and signs saying where they are. For such a large place I have never seen so few bathrooms. Also the escalators should always be in use, when you go to a convention you do alot of walking and by the end of 8 hours going up all those flights of stairs and having to climb the escalators because none of them are on is just ridiculous. Also need to have more food options open. There were only 4 options available and none were completely vegan except for a salad.

Went to New York Comic Con here seven times massive space appreciated the Starbucks way too crowded. One of the landmarks for that part of the city. You can pick up the Bolt Bus right in front of it which is extremely helpful on all necessity to the city and helpful for newcomers finding their way. The one thing I want is better wi-fi and cheaper coffee.

The place is big, went there for the 2018 auto show which was not as last year. Some how this year seems a bit off beat and there were less to give you that wow feeling. As always parking is a problem when it come to the city so if best take a taxi, train or maybe visit on a Sunday

No parking except for crooks in the area! $15 to get through the tunnel and trying to find parking is frustrating in its self. If you took the Javits center and put it in New Jersey like the NJ Expo Center it would be a 10 star.
