My wife and I and our guest from South Africa had the pleasure of attending a private wine tasting at Ceder Creek Winery. We have been there several times but it was a first time experience for our guest.
Our host Darren Gillespie, Tasting Room Ambassador was absolutely awesome. The wines are truly some of the best in the valley, but what takes this winery from Good to Great is the staff. Darren's passion and knowledge for the wines he served were beyond our expectations. In sales and customer service if someone has an awesome experience they will tell a few people but if the experience is poor they will often tell everyone. Well I want everyone to know that our experience with Darren was second to none. Thank you for a tasting our guest will never forget.

A very detail oriented vineyard that clearly puts a lot of thought into everything they do - including being eco friendly. The architecture of their restaurant and adjoining spaces is stunning with a great view of the lake. The food is amazing and they are able to accommodate a range of dietary needs. The service staff are very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We went for dinner and for the wine pairings and we will be coming right back! Highly recommend.

Very special winery and restaurant with spectacular panoramic view of Okanagan Lake. Went for dinner and arrived a little early to visit the tasting room. The staff in the tasting room are very friendly and knowledgeable. Purchased some wine and then moved to the Vineyard Terrace restaurant where we were treated to excellent service and a wonderful meal. All the service staff were very pleasant and very attentive yet still allowed us to enjoy a "quiet" special dinner with our guests. The food, from the starters to desert, was very delicious and beautifully presented. Two of us had the lamb chop special paired with the 2015 Pinot Noir and enjoyed it thoroughly. I would recommend a visit to the wine tasting room and Vineyard Terrace restaurant any time you are in the area. Unfortunately the view is a little compromised at present as they are in middle of an extensive renovation - will certainly come back when they are finished as I am sure it will be very nice.

Gorgeous property. Amazing food. Only one significant flaw is that servers don t wear masks and put the onus on the customer to ask. According to Bonnie Henry this is literally the one protocol that is effective at curbing community spread. Hope this changes.

Nice boutique type winery, not a large commercial vineyard, quaint restaurant with outdoor setting and wine tasting on the inside, food was superb, went for the Arctic Char as well as Tuna, both were cooked outstandingly, finished off with a special dessert that's not on the menu ... a to die for chocolate mousse, walked down to the pavilion after lunch and sat in the lounges with a glass of wine with a stunning view out at the waters, topped off the afternoon program

A not to be missed Kelowna winery and restaurant. The tasting room gets busy so start at this location and work your way back to Kelowna centre. Also check out events like yoga or special lunches and concerts. Absolutely beautiful views. UPDATE: the new year-round restaurant Home Block is fantastic! And the new tasting room has been completely redesigned with lots of space and of course those amazing Kelowna views. A real local favourite.

The most amazing five course lunch I have ever had! The view from our table was breathtaking and I think we had the best seat in the place! All the staff were so personable, friendly and very stylish, but our server was one of the best I have had in many years. Lisa was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely enjoys her job. My wife and I recently biked to Cedar Creek..all the way front the West Bank to celebrate our 18th Anniversary - and while that was awesome we can definitely say that Cedar Creek was the bigger gift! Wonderful winery with fantastic staff!

This place was magnificent, the wine was superb, but more than anything the people working there made the experience. Myself and a group of 15 were up in Kelowna for the weekend doing some wine tasting. Thoughout day we went to multiple wineries but unfortunately our experiences there were subpar. Luckily for us, cedar creek was our final destination and Ben was a godsend. His patience and willingness to teach us amateurs about wine was second to none. I highly recommend visiting this place and be sure to ask for Ben.

Out of the 4 days of total indulgence, this was by far our favorite dinner. Not just the food and wine...the staff also made the evening memorable and fun. Sadly the smoke robbed us of the view but after we were seated, we didn't notice or really care. The room is beautiful.
If you are in Kelowna, you really shouldn't miss this place

Last night we sat on the heated patio enjoying the views and sunset. I ordered 3 bottles of wine, but there was a mix-up in the packaging/shipping. The folks at CedarCreek were extremely prompt getting back to me and handling the mix-up. As a result, CedarCreek gave me the three bottles I received PLUS the three bottles I ordered. The woman I spoke with the on the phone was incredibly kind and easy to deal with. Prompt delivery + great customer service + amazing wine = a triple whammy. 10/10 would recommend!

One of the best local dining experiences by far. My partner and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary here and we were treated like royalty. Food was exquisite the minimal options meant everything came out in an extremely timely fashion and perfectly done. And made for more table conversation and less menu browsing. The restaurant is by far one of the most beautiful places to eat as well. We will be back.

Our evening was perfect we have tasted 5 different world class wine with food pairings. Darren did excellent job & knowledge of each wine. The ambience of the rooms & winery itself at night is so captivating ! There's fireplace outside it's so romantic even by just looking at it ,they really put an unforgettable Valentines evening 2021. It was a generally good experience. Awesome view as we got a seat by the window. The staff were friendly. Comparing to many other wineries in the area, the price is better comparing its service and location. Although I would have to say the wine themselves were good, but not super amazing so I did not purchase there.

If you love big corporate pretentious wineries who are out to seperate you from the contents of your wallet then this is your winery. They charge $22 per person for a tasting and they do not refund anything for a purchase. The wine that you taste is amazing and also the most expensive wines that they have. The whole place is a money grab in my opinion, I will never go back.
I must be losing my mind. I clearly remember visi...
I must be losing my mind. I clearly remember visiting Cedar Creek Estate Winery. But in reflection, I can t tell you anything about it. I remember us driving up to it. I remember the construction to one side impeding a normally spectacular view. I have photos of the exterior, as does my girlfriend.
We found photos online of the tasting room, but they do not jog my memory. My girlfriend claims the photos on Google inaccurate, and they must have renovated since then.
Still nothing.
I must have been zapped by a neutralizer from Men in Black. I know you might be thinking that perhaps we walked up and decided for some insane reason to turn around, except I have bottles I bought from Cedar Creek, including a 2015 Platinum Block Single Vineyard Riesling sitting in front of me.
It s real, in my hand, and it s good, confirming I bought the bottle under my own volition and was not kidnapped and brainwashed to think so. It s not like they pried my eyes open and forced me to watch bottles breaking while being unable to blink. I remembered Oak Bay, Summerhill, Tantalus before we arrived, as well as Monto Creek after. The photos we did take of the exterior reveal a breathtaking winery. Sure, the weather wasn t the best that day, but that didn t detract from the construction.
Upon deeper reflection, I seem to remember diamond shelves behind the counter like those seen at Mission Hill. Did I suffer trauma? Seriously, this is weird. This must be one of those situations where because I forgot to take photos, my mind blanked on the event because it s so used to relying on them for mnemonic recall. I actually want to remember this place, unlike Summerhill, which I would have preferred blocked. The building looks amazing, the restaurant appealing. However, what I respect the most is their desire to sell actual wine, not their label or novelties or pseudoscientific mysticism. I ve never seen, and I do never, a wine maturation chart on a winery website before. Every single bottle that is worth a damn is laid out with a recommendation of how long to wait in the cellar before opening. Seriously, why don't more wineries do this? We had been told that the deeper the punt, the longer it should age. Naturally, my Riesling has no punt, is not located on this chart, so I assume I can open it immediately and enjoy.
By the way, I ll reiterate that I was told that, but that doesn t mean it s actually true. I do research these things.
And you can also download images as zipped files from their website; have they thought of everything? They haven t thought of a mnemonic deceive so I could remember their damn tasting room. I will believe my girlfriend in that I entered said room and enjoyed a tasting. The bottle in my hand proves that, but I could not recall the gender or age of the host. Maybe it was The Shadow, and he altered my memory with some Jedi mind trick. Perhaps this is how they keep their secrets. You walk in, enjoy yourself, get sold on wine, leave, but then not remember why you enjoyed it, necessitating your return.
There is a small chance, upon reflection, the location might have been boring; I must admit that is a possibility.
Nah, much more logical to assume something involving aliens.

Cedar creek Home block was the first winery we had dinner at. We were fortunate to be sat out on the patio.
The views were amazing. Great service. Excellent food. The wine pairings works quite well. We were very happy with our experience. Social distancing in effect but not masks. Five star experience.
We booked a tasting for a couple days later. The tastings are private socially distanced tastings. You get a choice of three different wine choices 5 wines each. 22 dollars per person. We also purchased the food pairings for 18 dollars/person.
I enjoyed the fact that we got to choose our wine tastings. The views were lovely. Our server was very friendly and informative. I did feel that the server was over stretched, having to serve multiple tables. The tasting lasted well over an hour causing my Panna cotta food pairing to melt in the hot sun before the last pairing came.
Value for the tasting and the service was a little sub par.
But I would return.

Went in for the wine tasting and dinner with high expectations after reading the reviews. Was mostly underwhelmed by both.
1) Wine tasting : When I booked they said that there would be a tour of the winery and they would explain how the wine is made. All we got was a couch inside for 15 mins with a taste of their wines from a person who seemed stretched thin attending to 3 groups at once. The wine however was pretty good.
2) Dinner : Although its a pretty big space and everyone practiced social distancing with hand sanitizers in every corner, nobody wore masks. Not even the kitchen staff. In terms of the 3 course dinner, I found the portions to be very big and the quality not upto the mark. Entrees were impressive, mains and desserts not so much. The duck leg was well done, but the other vegetables on the plate were too greasy. It lacked some freshness. The sauce on the eggplant dish lacked depth of flavour and the sticky toffee pudding was overly sweet.
The setting, ambience and service were exceptional. It is one of the prettiest dining rooms I have seen. I wish they showcased local produce rather than build a menu around their wines.

The location was great, with beautiful view. The food was good, it is a 2 course set menu, which is great. Only down side is the server's service was a bit disappointing, and there was no explanation on the food or the wine pairing. The server talked about pre-cautious steps due to Covid-19 and passing the dishes from one side to the other, that's fine but the staff should probably wear mask if that's also the case. Pretty disappointed with overall experience.

I am unsure of what to think about CedarCreek. We had a top notch experience at the restaurant, great views and a fabulous (restaurant) server. Our food was fun, upscale and not pretentious; and our server offered to take our photo multiple times. That said we probably had the second worst paid tastings there EVER due to poor customer service at the wine shop.
Our $86 food and wine pairing before our wonderful meal left much to be desired. The guy helping us was much more concerned about the two single women across from us and our food sat there while we waited for him to stop flirting and replace our wines. It's a pairing, so we couldn't do anything while our food just got colder and colder. Eventually another server noticed that we were abandoned for the sake of reproduction and stepped in to help us. The guy left his shift without a word to us (which you should never do when you flip tables) but we were so irritated with him that we were happy to have the much more diligent server take over so we could make my 30th birthday reservations on time next door.

I wanted to give this place a great review...I did. I used to love the old Cedar Creek restaurant. Arrived here for my birthday lunch with a reservation just a moment ago but was not warmly welcomed. Hostess was rude to me and my husband who had booked for two. We came with our infant and she said "sorry because if Covid rules you should have booked for 3". We understand but the delivery was not good hospitality. When we asked to sit outside she said she had no space for a group of three (only for 2 or 4) and didn't even offer a wait time or sincere apology. This staff needs better training in hospitality. The new renovations have also totally taken away the old Tuscan charm and replaced it with a cavernous and dark metal aesthetic not at all as lovely or timeless. I know the wine is good and I'm sure the food is good though!

Cedar Creek winery is beautiful and they have some decent wine at various price ranges. However the service does not match the setting (or cost of the tasting). The wines for the tasting were poured one by one and there was a lot of downtime between pours. We were then rushed away at the end even though we wanted to continue tasting other wines. Our server offered us water, sparkling or flat, and then never brought any. The food pairing was extremely poor value- at $22 I was expecting slightly larger portions or at least something that wowed my taste buds. It did not deliver on either point - one pairing were two salad olives. Another was a potato chip (with something on it). The arancini was swimming in salt and saffron. Overall just a sad plate. The $18 tasting fee was not really worth it either, most of the pours were from lower priced bottles. We went to 8 wineries over the weekend and this was the biggest disappointment (none of the others charged a fee) I hope they at least improve their service to match the price tag.
I've visited this winery 3 times since last fall. ...
I've visited this winery 3 times since last fall. The first experience was positive, service was decent and we left with 5 bottles of their Desert Ridge. Unfortunately, on the last 2 occasions I left feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. First, Cedar Creek is billing itself as an upscale winery within Kelowna. Tasting fees were $25 / person for a basic tasting. Not sure how this winery even begins to justify this as tastings at virtually all other wineries within the Kelowna region are $5-10. If Cedar Creek were to offer something special or more enhanced than these other establishments, then yes I could see justifying that price but they don't. In fact, our experience on our last 2 visits left us feeling like we were cattle....get us in and get us out...next! We were given a tasting of 4 wines, rushed through by a server who was juggling several other people and then told "that's it, tasting is over". For a group of 6 that spent $150 just to taste a small sample of wine, this winery and it's management should be ashamed of itself. I mean really, what did we pay for? The atmosphere is nice, the restaurant was nice, but you are in the tourism business and it's all about the experience. You are a winery first, so its important that you don't make your guests that you charge ridiculous tasting fees to, feel like they are not welcomed.
My group wanted a fun photo out on the patio by their large fireplace so we went out, took the photo and then someone from the wine shop came out and stated "things that happen at other wineries don't happen here.....don't do that". What did we do? We took a photo of our experience and that's how we are talked to? I think this winery has lost touch with its customer base and those that helped to build it up. It's very sad.
I should also mention, I've read through the reviews here and I am dismayed and shocked by the lack of caring by whomever it is that writes the responses....they are all pretty much the same, copied and pasted...saying "we'll try to do better next time" to every review doesn't solve anything. I doubt anyone communicates anything to the staff. It would be a good start if someone actually took the time to put together a meaningful response to address what seems like the same problems over and over again.

Honestly shocked at the other reviews talking about how nice the staff are - maybe we were just unlucky. The hostess, who I believe was the restaurant manager, and our waitress were rude and pretentious. The location is beautiful, but it was overshadowed by the staff. Disappointing.

Absolutely amazing. We visited the winery tasting room with family over the weekend and were treated to Doug who's kindness, gentleness, knowledge and professionalism made our experience exceptional. Thank you. The following day we went to the restaurant for a late lunch and enjoyed one of the best meals we've had in a long time. The quality and presentation of the food was really high quality and Karleigh was a wonderful waitress who was very attentive and professional. The kitchen was also accommodating to my plant based diet and simply left off the butter on a ridiculously delicious mushroom and white bean dish. The focaccia is crazy good served with a high quality olive oil. And of course the wine left us speechless. A really really wonderful experience and the decor of the tasting room and the restaurant is incredibly tasteful and conscious. Thank you and we'll be back.

Amazing experience when we were there for a bachelorette a few weeks ago. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about wines, and the food pairing was so so delicious. A bunch of us gals ended up buying bottles and we had missed getting one of them. I was contacted by Jenny for my shipping info and they were able to get the wine out to me. Jenny was so kind to do this for us. Appreciate this so much and it was such a smooth experience. 100% will be back! Thank you CedarCreek!!

I am a Platinum Club member and brought friends for a wine tasting and dinner this week. One of them is health compromised and has not been to restaurant since last March. I emailed the Platinum Club member email to enquire about arrangements that could be made. Alison Shaw responded and took wonderful care of us. She was incredible both in her response time and how she dealt with the situation. I hope to meet her in person some time. Karli was our server (ask for her if you can). She did both a wonderful wine tasting and meal service. Our friends has a wonderful time and are now Platinum Club Members also.

I absolutely enjoyed my wine tasting experience here. The tasting room is so beautiful, the architecture, large open space full of natural light. The staff were friendly, warm and incredibly knowledgeable. I had some wines from the complimentary tasting list and also a few from the $10 tasting list. Amazing stuff, will be back!
