it is a nice place to visit , my fiends and i come here on this summer , it is great to try all kind of wines
Oh my goodness- what a winery! The place itself is gorgeous (tasting room and vineyard). The wine is reasonably priced and the staff is very helpful and nice. They have a very nice (but a tad pricey) lunch if you're looking to splurge and treat yourself. My favorite wine that I tasted here was the 2015 Senator - we bought 2 bottles.
Block 2 pinot noir nice finish
Platnuim merlot yummy
Katie is the best, this place is stunning as is her service.
Delicious wines, some of the best we tasted in the region. We were very happy with the personal touch of the wine tasting experience, the servers were very engaged and knowledgeable, and we enjoyed learning about the details that make the wine so great. You can feel the love and care that goes into the wine making and that reflects onto the customer service. Must visit!
Wine, food, facility, view and staff are all excellent!
Great place to try different kind of wines :) - all the wines tasted great and were full of flavor. The whole experience as a whole was a bit lacking.
Beautiful winery with a wonderful panoramic view of the lake, very nice restaurant
My husband and I had the 5 course wine paired menu for a honeymoon dinner on August 11th at 7pm. We were very impressed by all the factors that defined our experience - the grounds are stunning, the venue is trendy, the staff are very courteous, and the food and wine are excellent! I had fair expectations as far as the food goes; being a winery above a restaurant, I thought the food would be a second thought (as we found it to be the case with other well known wineries in Kelowna). The chef they have at CedarCreek is excellent - the meals were well balanced with flavours that well contrasted and complimented the wines. The portions were perfect in size as well. The wines we tried were really good. If you like Riesling and Ice Wine, they have two fabulous varieties in their Platinum collection. Unfortunately we don't remember the server's name but she had a lovely personality and seemed knowledgeable. We highly recommend this winery for their wines, food, and vistas.
Wow what a great place and great wine. Would love to have eaten at the restaurant, next time.
Working as a limo drive, I can say the staff out side are nice, and they are still working on the new store and restaurants.
We visited this lovely winery for our first wedding anniversary and enjoyed the entire experience. Delicious and flavorful food, friendly service and the atmosphere and view were breathtaking! We hope to be back soon!
Been in their wine club for 2 years. Lots of very good wines for even better prices. Property is amazing as well with lots of good views. If you can track down a 2015 Pinot noir you are a lucky person!
Beautiful location and is the driver of the positive experience for me. Location was great and decor was fantastic. We showed up a bit early to our reservation time, but they didn t seat us till 10-15mins after, which is understandable.... but then pushed us at the end saying we had to be out for a certain time because the table was booked after us. Server wasn t our favorite either and felt weird... most of our comments/ statements were met with yeah, yeah and no real further insight on winemaking or process. Have been to many wineries across US/ Canada/ Europe/ South America so feel like we have a good handle on what to expect.... hopefully they can improve in future, the location/building is just too good.
The wine and experience at Cedar Creek is the best in the Okanagan. Josh & the entire team at Cedar Creek are like family. I have been a member for nine months and it feels like a lifetime!
Had THE BEST experience here!!
Joshua was absolutely AMAZING and Joshua definitely deserves a raise. The fact that a follow up, personalized little letter that arrived in the mail from him was truly remarkable.
We wished we could have stayed longer so went next door to the restaurant and continued with our tastings.
Loved everything...the food, the wine, the ambiance and the staff SO much we became members and booked our follow up 5 course dinner on the spot as we are about a 4 hour drive away.
Counting down the days until we return
OMG!!!! Finally were able to return for our Home Block 5 course meal paring and WHAT an AMAZING experience!
Amy was utterly FANTASTIC and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction!!
Do NOT hesitate to do a wine tasting or a meal in the dining room.
I look forward to being able to move to Kelowna so that I may experience Cedar Creek every other day!!
We love you Amy!!!!!
10/5....
Across the board
We went for a wine-cellar tour in 2016. The tour was informative, interesting and paired with wine-tasting. Our tour-guide did a marvelous job keeping conversation flowing, explaining wine/food pairings.
Aside from the tour I did not buy wine.
Received absolutely amazing service from Jason during the wine tastings. He was extremely welcoming and went the extra mile to match us with wines we would enjoy. Great wine overall. The tasting room itself is quite elegant, and there are beautiful views from outside. It is also a cat-friendly establishment so long as you avoid the restaurant.
Location is lovely and well thought out. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Wine is not my personal favourite but still worth tasting.
Great winery to check out. Lunch was delicious. Great views as well
I only left like couple reviews before, so you know I mean it when I write a review. My family visited during the Labor day weekend and we were very disappointed with the tasting experience. I heard restaurant is great but I didn't get to try, so I can't speak for that part, but tasting wise, I can tell you that you should skip for another winery. I visited Cedar Creek and Quail's Gate during my visit and I would say we had 100 times better experience at Quail's Gate.
We were very unclear in terms of how the tasting work from the moment sitting down. We just had menu on the table and we hadn't been given any instruction how the tasting works. I bought the tastings online but I was expecting to hear how it actually works (how many wines to choose from, which wines to choose from, which wines would suit our taste bud better etc). Instead, server basically told us just pick wines from menu and walked away. We were so lost and had to ask again after few mins how it works and then she explained.
Tasting wise, we were given all wines at the same time. At one point we had 15 glasses in front of us (5 glasses each for three tasting package). We didn't enjoy that experience because we should be able to enjoy one wine at a time and be able to share our opinion with each other. But instead, they brought out all wines at once and we had to manually look back at menu ourselves to do wine comparison. Also server was only there when we say we have questions. At every other winery for tastings, we normally have dedicated server to guide us through and help us navigate through each wine, but here, we felt like we were just given wines and rushed to do comparison.
The winery and the view is beautiful, but if you sit down, the view is blocked by stone wall that's built at the edge, so unless you stand up, you won't be able to catch the great view. We may come back to try the restaurant at some point, but we wouldn't come back to this winery for tasting again. Giving two star for bad experience combined with good view
Katie in the tasting room was amazing and blew us away. The new facilities also look amazing, worth it to check it out again and again!
Cozy and inviting atmosphere, friendly and engaging staff and absolutely delicious food!! 5 stars!!
Great winery. Beautiful setting overlooking the lake.
Love this place!!!! Vicki is AMAZING. I Love she posts and reminds us of all the fun things going on too. Makes me wanna go back!!
Went to Kelowna for the weekend last week with my friends and was really looking forward to it since we've never been to a wine tasting before. Brynne was amazing help and well knowledge! We explained to her our situation and she really walked us through it and really listened to what our feedback was and gave us choices of what we thought we would like. She also explained to us that it was the second day opening of the new tasting room! It was really beautiful inside! Would definitely recommend coming here! Will definitely be back next time. Thanks Brynne!
Lovely time, excellent wine and pairing, great service
We visited the recently rebuilt wine tasting room and restaurant. At the wine tasting we were served by Fiona who was not only knowledgeable about Cedar Creek wines she went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Fiona made us reservations at the restaurant and completed our wine purchase while we ate. Great service gets results, she signed us up to join their wine club too!
My dad came here previously having had a great experience a year ago, and was specifically looking for a wine from the Platinum M line, a dessert line. He brought us, his family, to the winery this past weekend for a wine tasting and dinner.
While unfortunately it wasn t available for purchase, the wine tasting staff let us know it was available for purchase during dinner at the restaurant. It was during the restaurant portion of our visit that was the most disappointing part of our experience.
Our waitress was Hannah that evening, and when we asked for the wine, she did let us know there were bottles of the Platinum M available for purchase with dinner. She let us know that it would cost $59. We asked again to confirm because we were surprised that this bottle of wine only cost $59. To my dads recollection, based on the taste and exclusivity, he expected it would cost more. But Hannah said that the bottle of wine was priced at $59, so we ordered the bottle of wine. She also asked us if we wanted to start off the meal with some focaccia bread, which we said yes, and when she asked later if we wanted a refill of bread, we also said yes.
The issue was mainly regarding the bill. We found that the $59 bottle of wine was actually $159 on our bill. And we were unaware that the bread was not complimentary, and cost $6 per basket. On our part, we could have confirmed the price of bread before accepting at the beginning of the meal, but we were surprised by the wine, as we were told at the beginning of the meal that it was $59.
After we paid, we asked Hannah what the difference in price was due to. She told us that there must have been some miscommunication , as she stated that $59 was the retail price. We were bothered by this explanation as we were told multiple times that we could not purchase at retail, and it was very clear we were eating and drinking in restaurant. We felt misled as she did not state that $59 was the retail price, even as we confirmed the price a couple times before ordering. We are concerned that this was intentional on Hannah s part to influence our choice to order the wine and end up paying more.
Aside from our waitress, our experience was alright, but because of Hannah, our experience was a very poor one in the end. I hope that anyone that visits in the future will have a better experience than we had.
amazing winery with beautiful view.highly recommend
Wonderful choices of wines, Great staff service and hospitality, would love to come back, love you Brynne!!!!
We went for the wine tour and had an amazing time with Patrick. He was extremely knowledgable and really made our experience unique and fun!
Such friendly customer service accommodated our large group at last minute. Very impressed with the friendliness and just love that view!
My second time to the winery, this time for dinner, and I must say I've always been very impressed. World class atmosphere, food, and wine.
CedarCreek Estate Winery offers a beautiful dining space for visiting guests and offers a 2 course menu or 5 course menu (2 days in advance). Spectacular view of the lake from the patio area.
Usually "hello" is a good way to greet customers. We stood at tasting bar the for about 5 minutes before our presence was acknowledged. Aside from that - great wines, awesome environment, and they even offered juice to my daughter. Recommend a visit on a slow day
CedarCreek is my Cheers : everyone greets me by name when I arrive. Their tasting experiences are incomparable and I ve never tasted a wine I didn t like there. The entire property and restaurant are great, but it s the Platinum Wine Club membership that is second to none. The shipments are well curated and the guest experience makes me feel like a VIP every time. This is why I go back again & again and take guests with me. Thank you CedarCreek!
We did the wine and food pairing with John. Very knowledgeable host and loved his wit! The wines were all excellent from the list and the bites were very well paired with them. We were even convinced to walk away with some bottles of vino!
Great view and great service. I am amazed by the quality of food. Definitely coming back again!
My self and my wife visited Cedar Creek the past two summers and had a great experience both times we went. Our time spent at the winery was so much fun we joined the platinum membership they offer there at Cedar Creek. As part of there membership it includes a shipment of wine of 6 bottles on an average of 200$. Our second shipment never arrived and our card was charged. We emailed and talked to someone named Anna, time and time again we were thrown in loops and told excuses for the reasoning it had not shown up. 3 weeks later we still had not received our wine. So we had enough as we were very dissapointed with the service as it was horrible. we called and left a message, emailed and told them to refund our card. 3 days later no response from anybody so we emailed the General Manager and he did not even respond. We asked for our money back and we got an email saying our credit card had been refunded. In that time we did not even receive an email apologizing for the mix up and your experience. I have never received service that bad. I would highly recommend never signing up for the platinum membership because you will get treated horribly.
We went for a wine tasting and it all fell a bit of a sales pitch rather. Being used to the French wineries this doesn t compare. It has great potential with the great wines, but they need to think about the full experience.
One of the most beautiful wineries in Kelowna. We got there after tastings were done for the day. The staff was kind enough to give us a couple of tasters. Would definitely come back again for the full experience.
