I am not sure if anyone has had the same experience but they convinced my mother that she could qualify for a grant to help offset the costs of care at this facility. They could never tell her who the grant was from or what the qualifications were, but they lead her to believe they could help her get into the facility at a reduced cost. Once they sold my mother on the facility they proceeded to tell her that in order to receive a grant they would need to speak to all of her children and find out what their annual income was. My mother let them know that she had no interest in getting her children involved and would not stay there if it was dependent on the family paying the fees. They proceeded to call my sister against my mother s wishes. When my sister let them know that she didn t feel comfortable giving her financial information my mother quickly became disqualified. At this point it sure seems like they use the idea of a grant to do nothing more than get someone interested. Once they get you interested you quickly find out that there is no such grant to be given. Nothing more than a scam. It sickens me to no end that they would stoop to such low levels to rent units. I would steer clear of sending anyone to this facility. I will be reporting them to the better business as well!

My mother moved into Cedar Village in 2011 approximately, starting with an apartment in more independent area then moved to Fountain View, one of the assisted living units. This place was great when she moved in because they do pretty good at Cedar Village for someone that needs little care, however when my mother fell & broke her ankle their care was pitiful. They actually ended up doing some things totally against her doctor s orders. Like letting her bear partial weight on that leg, she got a red area on her heel cause no one repositioned her, she got sepsis in her wound & because of the care she received at The Cedar Village actual nursing home unit, my mother is dead. My mom had no bad physical problems prior to this, besides the usual high blood pressure, she was Ambulatory, she had dementia & couldn t remember things for 5 minutes, but no pressing physical issues. Many people contributed to the death of my mom, but Cedar Village definitely. So as a bachelor degreed nurse, I advise anyone wanting to send their Jewish family member here, it is a great place for someone not needing nursing care. Oh and their Physical Therapy department is the worst I ve seen. Go somewhere else!

The Worst place EVER! My mom is in there and getting horrible care. Wait .getting no care! It takes them over an hour and half to respond d to light if they do. Leave her lay in her soiled depends. Constantly being told we are very short staff and nothing we can do. You can never reach anyone and no communicates with each other. Had to hire a private agency to be with her 24/7 while in there to ensure her safety. Ridiculous!!!

Having worked at Cedar Village I can tell you first hand, Cedar Village is one of the best retirement homes in all of the state of Ohio but of course Cincinnati. The staff is so welcoming and helpful that you will think you're at a five-star resort. Come take a look at Cedar Village today, I think you'll be surprised at how impressive our building can be for friends, family. and most importantly our patients.

I went here after hip surgery for rehab. Only had 1/2 hr of rushed therapy in 3 days. Could not wait to get out if there. The food was horrible, why they don't get a better cook is beyond me. I'm sure they throw away a lot of unbeaten meals. The night and weekend staff are not at all friendly and some downright rude. This includes RN's. They obviously hate their jobs. There were a few that were pleasant; Laurie, Ashley and Melinda. Read all reviews before sending anyone here, at least for rehab. Place could have been cleaner too.

This is a very nice community that offers everything your family member may need. Every time I have been there, the residents are out and about and actively engaged in activities. Elizabeth is awesome! She gave me the grand tour of her community and made me feel like family while I was there. Only good things to say about this place.

When it became apparent that my Mom would be best served by moving to an assisted living facility, we searched around town looking for a perfect home. After many interviews with various facilities we chose Cedar Village. We couldn't be happier. With the strong leadership, daily activities, wonderful nursing and private duty care, great dining room, my siblings and I are very satisfied. Mom is very happy living at Cedar Village!!
