Our service was excellent and the steaks are thick and tender. This place has been there a long time, because they do it right and people keep coming back.

Great steakhouse with a long tradition. The food is excellant as is the service. Well worth the trip to eat here.
Truly cannot put into words how amazing our food was!!! Scrumptious!! I've been loving Cattlemens for years. Never disappoints!!
I finally had time to eat at the Cattleman's on this trip. This place & area have so much history .
We arrived mid afternoon and they still had some lunch specials left. The place is huge & busy but we still were able to get a table for 4 . The bartender makes a GOOD old fashion. Their house salad dressing is so good and so was the garlic chips.
Our steaks were all about Med/Med well (we requested med.rare) & a little chewy. Reasonable prices & good service.
Best breakfast I have had in a long time steak so tender cut it with a fork
Awesome food and service in wonderfully friendly atmosphere!
We really enjoyed eating here. The staff was great and the food delicious. You could feel the history in the building. And after walking in all the shops, your ready to sit down and rest and enjoy a really great steak. The place filled up quick and it mostly locals, so you know it's good.
Food was good, service was good, drinks were strong, but I think they could do with a little bit of updating to the waiting room upstairs.
I've been here a couple times now and it is starting to become my favorite steakhouse in OKC! The location is in the beautiful stockyards, which looks like an old western town. They have a good deal of parking behind the restaurant, so don't let the little parking lot to the side deceive you. Their prices are decent for the quality of food you get and their service has always been great! They have a lot of room, and a comfortable waiting area upstairs with a full bar in case you have to wait for a table. I recommend getting the Ribeye, it is one of their best steaks. Overall, they are a great place for steak and nice relaxing evening and I highly recommend going if you want a quality meal!
Absolutely incredible. On a Monday we had a 15 minute wait in the upstairs bar. It s worth a drive from literally anywhere. Amazing beef. And it s not pricey in my opinion. Something like this in NYC or California would be three times the price. Give it a try....
4 & 1/2 stars. Excellent service! Food out promptly! Delicious meal. Salad was nothing spectacular. But, the dressing made up for it.
We went as a group from work and we had two servers who did an excellent job of taking our orders and getting our food properly.
We had a party of eight, got seated in ten minutes. Our waiter Lorin was great. He waited patiently for our orders, and they all came out fairly quickly. Everything was correct, didn't forget a thing. The steaks my husband and both had were a bit on the tough side though. Very disappointing, for the price I think we will go to Texas Roadhouse or Hollie's from now on
Although I am not a steak guy, my company always seem to enjoy this place in Oklahoma City's famous stockyard city. Chicken, ham, shrimp or fish options available if you're not a beef eater.
Interior is a bit drab, and outdated, but the food and staff make up for it.
Excellent prime rib. Salad always good. Just wish prime rib was available more often
Here again for my birthday lunch. Love love this place.
Awesome service, Wonderful Food, Gracious Spacing between the Customers. DEFINITELY WORTH THE TIME OR WAIT
My Birthday. The waitress was awesome as well as the food
This place is sooooo good! I love how they have the waiting area upstairs and there's a little bar up there! Now who minds waiting on their food when you can get yourself a little wine while you wait?!?! Best place, definitely coming back!
Chicken Fry was mediocre. No body to the breading. Soft and had a bunch of pepper dumped in the middle instead of spread through out. Fried shrimp very inferior. Maybe had a stand in cook since it is a holiday and not the best.
Stick with the regular steaks.
Best damn steak in oklahoma guaranteed!!!!! Well worth the trip from Marietta,Ok ask for the waiter named Sharp, he was always making sure we had everything we needed
Quality of food - ok
Saltgrass is better
OMG!!! The food was great and we didn't have to wait long. Our waitress, Lucy, was very nice. The food was terrific!!! Where can you go and order a steak and be able to cut it with a fork? Everything was great!!! Definitely recommend it!!!
Food is just okay, service is average, wait is long, resturant is dark, filthy and outdated, prices are so ridiculously high it's almost laughable...43 year old Oklahoma City native, I've been many times with family since I was a kid and have never ever understood the hype.
Tom is fantastic. Ask for him. The private stock will flow.
Was a wonderful experience. The steak was cooked to perfection. Couldn't ask for it to have been any better. Our waitress was the best also.
An Oklahoma City classic. It has withstood the test of time for a reason. Great steaks, great prices and great atmosphere.
I had the rib eye steak and my companion had the presidential t-bone. It was AMAZING. I also appreciate the waitress Christina she was lovely.
This is my favorite place to get a steak. There is sometimes a bit of a wait but they have a lrge room upstairs where visitors can wait and have a coctail. Love it.
Best steaks in town, but if you come on a Friday evening, be prepared to wait.
Visited from Vancouver
Visited Cattlemens while in OKC for 4 nights. My wife had the sirloin and mushrooms in French onion soup as a side.. Her steak and mushrooms were outstanding. I had the Rib Eye and baked . It was so good. Then the coconut cream ... Mmmmm. Sweet tea was tasty. Our server _____ Louise was perfect. Thanks for a wonderful Dinner... I know why you were packed....
Great historic steak restaurant! Everyone needs to try this place at least once! We start out with the house salad and the dressing is amazing in all of its probably very unhealthy glory! I remember seeing the recipe for it on Diners Drive ins and Dives, but it is so good and worth it! The lamb fries are another treat you have to try! We just love them. The steaks are on another level good! You truly won't regret eating here. The prices may be a little higher than many steak restaurants, but I think the quality is there and makes them a little easier to take. Love the atmosphere with the booths and the paintings. We highly recommend them!
Fabulous waitress, not good food. Surprised by all of the good ratings.
It was the best food and atmosphere and very delicious
Friendly staff and excellent food. Drinks are good and reasonably priced as well.
Saw online that this restaurant was rated one of the top steakhouses in OKC and was not disappointed! One of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Mac and cheese was also amazing and prices were very reasonable. Wait staff was very friendly and service was excellent. Would recommend arriving early because the place becomes packed very quickly for dinner.
An Oklahoma City and Stockyards City legacy! If near Oklahoma, include Cattlemans in your itinerary. As others indicated, known for their steaks, lamb fries, blackberry cobbler and much more, this institution offers an ambiance that is unique with a cowboy flair. You will not be dissapointed.
The food is absolutely delicious, the customer service is great. The only thing that needs to change is that they need a bigger location. It's crowded every time I go.
Just stopped in for coffee while waiting for my ride. Love the morning waitresses.
Steaks aren't totally mind-blowing awesome, but they are very good. The sides are really good, as is the gravy. They have this special house salad dressing which is really good if you like Ranch and garlic.
It's not the steaks that draw me here, rather what I totally love about this place is their weekend breakfast buffet. It is an incredibly detailed and full buffet for super cheap, and it's not cheap food. They've had the buffet for years and is a real hit. The building is divided into a diner on the right and a fancy (1980s fancy anyway) area on the left wrapped with historic stockyard paintings and murals. They serve fantastic coffee, and the service is always spectacular.
Great food and great service!!!
Sharp, our waiter, was Awesome!!!!
I got the filet mignon there, was cooked to absolute perfection.
Cattlemen's is one of my favorite restaurants in OKC and whenever we have out of town guests, we always try to take them there. This is also a go-to for our anniversary dinner. We're never disappointed with the food and the atmosphere, regardless of which side of the restaurant you're on, it exactly what I want it to be.
Can t say enough good things about this steakhouse. We decided to go for breakfast and oh my the amount of food you get! We ordered the ham and cheese omelette and the western omelette. They came with your choice of hash browns or home fries, biscuits or biscuits and gravy. Biscuits (homemade) were nice and hot so the butter melted. Our drinks were kept filled the whole time. Unfortunately, we couldn t eat it all. We left full and extremely satisfied.
Since breakfast was enough to get us through the day, we decided to return for dinner. The dinner steak is a top sirloin that was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The prime rib was the same. Meals came with salad, your choice of potato and hot rolls (they were huge). We ordered an appetizer which was unnecessary, however, we didn t know at the time that we would just roll out the door and to our car. Service for both breakfast and dinner was superb!!
Thank you for making our little getaway special.
Bought the 35 dollar T Bone, very Tough. They took it off the bill. Very nice staff. A historic place.
My steak was perfect and juicy, even medium-well (yep ;D) The rolls were fresh and I was served plenty of butter for the two I was given and my baked potato. The potato was small, and you get to fix it yourself. The skin was not seasoned, but the potato itself was served next to the steak and sat in the pool of juice, giving the skin some extra flavor.
The waiter kept bringing me drink refills without prompt, great quick and to the point service from the man!
Overall, one of the best sirloin steaks I have ever eaten.
Delicious food. Flavorful steak which was cooked to perfection. The place has an old diner style but don t let that fool you, the food is high class. I ordered the small filet for $23.25. Came with a large baked potato and salad. Dressing is a homemade creamy garlic, only downfall- too much that made the salad almost like a coleslaw by the time I stirred it up. Overall don t miss this place!
The food is very overpriced and overrated. 1/4 of my ribeye was sinew. Order your steak more we ll done than you usually would.
I can t comment on the food, because I never got the chance to eat it. My wife and I tried to make a reservation, we were told that they don t do that. We went, gave our names and got one of those pager things. We were told it was about a 45 minute wait. We waited a bit longer, then began to notice that other couples who had come in after us were being seated. Not sure why we were being skipped, but the close quarters and prices made us not care to ask. We went down the road a couple of miles to Cimarron steak house. We were seated immediately, the dining room was huge and the average entree was about $10 less.
My dad and I went slightly out of our way to stop here tonight for dinner on our road trip to AZ, and I m so glad we did. Our waiter (I wish I remembered to ask for his name!) was incredibly nice and checked up on us consistently without being pushy. Off his suggestion I ordered the 16 ounce ribeye and my dad ordered the t-bone. Both were PERFECTLY cooked. The rolls were also a surprisingly great addition to our meal. Definitely recommend to anyone in the mood for a really good steak at a really good price.
Wow. Great place. Great value for the money. Wasn't expecting to have such a big price of prime rib.
Service was wonderful. Fried steak was just ok. Not that good. But they're staff is outstanding and so are the rolls and appetizers are wonderful as well.
First time I have eaten here. Food was excellent and so was the service. Prices are really high but the lunch steak was delicious and ok priced.
Amazing food every time, breakfast lunch and dinner
Pretty good steak. Not the best ever but I definitely got what I paid for and would certainly come back.
Steak was great. Service was great. Beer selection was decent. No draft, just bottles. Lamb fries were okay. Would recommend.
Attended a memorial at their special event building. Service was great, and the food was wonderful..
Food is mediocre, menu items are overpriced, and service was poor. We weren't offered straws, drink refills, etc. It was nearly impossible to get the wait staff's attention. Our food was served more than an hour after our order was taken. Attractive dining room but I don't understand the popularity of the restaurant. This is a very kind review of our actual dining experience. Don't be disappointed. Go elsewhere.
I m 72 years old and was raised in Packin Town as a youngster. I ve been going to Cattleman s all my life and they just get better as time rolls on. I took 14 of my family members on 3/2/2019 which was Saturday night. I told my bunch to order whatever they wanted. As usual almost all picked the large filet and they were all perfect and awesome as always. Debbie was our waitress and she was on top of her game waiting on our every need without being asked. If you can find better Steaks and Service orbetter prices please let me know because it isn t possible. Thanks again to the great people at Cattlemans for making our night so enjoyable as always.
It was a great food and very good customer service.
The salad dressing and steaks are the best. Service is always excellent
Everytime I eat here I have a terminal case of CARNEVOREISM...trust me it's a word. Yummm.
We were passing through town and had heard about Cattlemen's and wanted to dine there. My husband is a steak connoisseur who got the 20 ounce T-bone and I tried one of the ribeye steaks. The T-bone was very disappointing. It was thin, a little bit tough, and just did not live up to the hype. My ribeye had no flavor, was tough and hard to chew. They were served with a salad which consisted of diced up lettuce with only a small cherry tonato, no other vegetables in it. The baked potato was the best thing I ate. Sorry for the negative opinion, but I know I have had a better steak at other chain restaurants.
AWESOME food and staff are Really happy and attentive!!!!
We had to wait 40 min. To be seated( it was Sat. nite). Service was excellent, and the rib eye was GREAT. My nephew had the sirloin and he said it was very good.My sister in law had chicken fried steak and I heard no complaints. My brother had fried catfish. He had no complaints. If I were to complain it would be that the baked potato was too small.
There was a pretty long wait on the night I went here, but this is the kind of place that deals with such a high volume so regularly that you feel like you are in good hands from the moment you walk in the door. And of course it has built up such a legendary status over the years that you are just pumped to see what the fuss is all about. You are expecting to sit down and have your face blown off by the greatest steak of your life, but what happens instead is an existential realization that you are just the current inhabitant of a booth where thousands of people have sat before you, eating food that is simple and honest and - most importantly - knows what it is. There is no identity crisis here. They know they have good food and you know it too once you start eating.
Amazing food. Great service. All wrapped up in history!!!
Even though the wait was an hour when my boyfriend and I went, it was totally worth it. The steaks were some of the best that we've ever tasted and the steak soup they had was fantastic. The rolls were HUGE and tasted good. I'll definitely be coming back here.
Very good food and service
Thanks
The food and the staff are always great. We go as often as we can.
The food is great. prices reasonable. Staff is nice.
Ordered filet mignon and it was OK at best. Service was great. If I had to compare it to a Texas roadhouse I would say it was half as good. The biggest issue is that this meal was $32. Not worth it
Amazing steaks and service. This place is almost worth coming to Oklahoma for by itself.
Always great. Sprite was low on syrup but food was wonderful.
Had the Lamb fries and 10 oz filet. Filet was cooked perfectly. Can't beat Cattleman's for a great steak.
This is a steak house not to miss. T bone was perfect. Wait staff even better. Lizabeth (?) Is top notch. I'm glad I took her recommendations.
Great food, great atmosphere, great company! Lunch ribeye just the right size and cooked to perfection! Blue Caracao margarita for lunch? Ummm, yes, please! Rodney was the best waiter, hands down!!
Our service was outstanding !! Melissa was the best ever waitress !! The steak was DEEELISH ....A HUGE SIRLOIN STRIP AND YOU COULD CUT IT WITH A FORK !!! COOKED PERFECTLY...AGED 21 DAYS AND HAND CUT HERE !! I could go on and on....Just try yourself !! You won't be disappointed :)
Great service awesome steak great restaurant we are from Kansas and we will definitely be back along with others and a big appetites
