It's just terrible that they send a doctor in training to look at a few months of baby that you send home time and time again. At least that there is then a doctor sent but no that either. And they also dare to raise wages while they don't bake anything !!! As a mother, your mother's feeling is better than what a doctor in training "thinks" I am going to go to Belgium or Germany with a baby because here it is just abnormal. This way anyone can become a pediatrician.

Hospital with high standard and service. Nothing but positive comments for personep who is working here.
I highly recommend it.
Only down side is lack of parking space in peak days. Really hard top find place.
Location of hospital is really good. In green area of Eindhoven with good connections and roads towards centre and highway.

I am also posting this review here so people know what kind of bad is your emergency room. No words for it.

In the evening I arrive at the emergency room with terrible pain in the back of my ankle. I cannot stand on it and later it turns out that my Achilles tendon has torn off. I found out about this with the doctor, because in this hospital it went like this: I am allowed to sit on the couch by the relevant nurse. The lady takes off my shoes feels 3 minutes asks 2 questions and then says that I can go home again and it will pass automatically and I MUST WALK ON IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. I have to ask for bandages MYSELF and crutches are not recommended. The nurse sends me away as soon as possible with the unkind remark: "you can just walk or not then". While I clearly cannot. Madam does not want to call for a doctor and has not looked at the back of my ankle for a moment. I did not trust it and went to the doctor two days later who told me that my Achilles tendon was simply torn off and that what this sister told me I should definitely not have followed. Fortunately I did not wait a week with this and I immediately went to the doctor the following days because who knows what had happened. I got crutches and later I had an operation at the St. Anna hospital where they did help me well and I am currently recovering. Never again for me Catharina. I don't know how you train your sisters, but they clearly cannot tell the difference between a serious injury and a painful ankle. The time is not taken at all for you and that sister in question also gives the wrong advice as a result of which my Achilles tendon could have broken completely (while I am only 20 years old). I think it's really great that you let someone like that work in the emergency room
special.

They should treat animals. Visit on Sunday at 3:30 at night at the Catarina Hospital in Eindhoven. Earlier consultation by phone clearly informed them about the condition of the child with stomatitis they ordered to come. Well, the child wakes up crying, can not swallow saliva, which is why he has trouble breathing through sleep, he does not want to eat or drink because he has clearly swollen, almonds, gums and tongue. I am not a doctor but the very smell from the mouth is indicative of bacterial inflammation for which an antibiotic should be prescribed. Cleanliness everywhere in the wards modern beds the examination interventions are all separated from the other patients. Everyone in the wardrobe has the bandage and other supplies out of the patient, not from one patient to another. Every ward has a computer that records everything. Many things make it easier for nurses and patients.

Good hospital and good care but ridiculous rates.
For an appointment for a shoulder injury check-up I have been in for a total of 15 minutes and receive a bill of 220 euros months later.

For comparison, the injury sustained in Germany had also been to a hospital, X-rays were made and assessed here, it took more than 1.5 hours in total and a bill of only 80 euros

Costs are not in proportion to the care provided, unfortunately this is the case at many institutions.

The judge is not able to make a decision since she doesn't understand any medical outcome, and she is not able to translate what I sent her from Italian to Dutch. Doctor Flink wasn't able to do the right diagnostic denying me the Nissen surgery and not understanding I had the Wilkie's syndrome and the nutcracker syndrome. His tests took ages, and he prescribed me PPI and H2 receptors which obviously make worse the bile reflux, in fact I got way worse. I want to be contacted by the director of this hospital and I pretend a refund since your physician wasn't able to make the right diagnostic and got me more sick than before. So you gotta take your responsibilities, please hire a translator, I am expecting somebody who understands medicine contacts me, the judge doesn't understand anything

Update: there is something weird with the MDL department, I have been followed by a certain Doctor Flink who denied my pathology, despite I owned various diagnostics in which we could see I suffered from duodenogastroesophageal reflux, hiatal hernia and my les also didn't work properly, surprisingly from the diagnostics of doctor Flink I was perfect, but it didn't correspond to reality. I also asked the cd of the endoscopy he did, and they gave me a CT scan of another patient. Since I understood that doctor Flink was a little too weird to me, I decided to find a solution myself, I went to Germany where I did a pH impedance test where it came out that the 60% of my reflux was alkaline at 15 cm of my les we can see 45 pathologic episodes of reflux, the result was reflux marginally pathologic, added to the previous diagnostic made me able to get a Nissen surgery performed in Italy. It has been scientifically proved that my issues started 2 years ago with the h. Pylori, now I don't know what doctor Flink is going to make up, but I am afraid he can't really cover what has been done, since there are a lot of diagnostics that prove the exactly opposite of his "diagnostic". Strange!
Episode during the diagnostic: I suffer from severe Gerd, and the pantoprazole wasn't working at all, so I vomited bile reflux everyday for 1 week, I stayed in bed for the whole week with severe pain and a bloated belly burping all the time, feeling my mind dizzy, I woke up during the night, I couldn't figure out where I was at, it took me 15 min to understand I was home, and I was in severe pain so I called the emergency in Maastricht where I live, went there and they called the catarina ziekenhuis, since the gastroenterologist I m followed by is there, they said to make me go there today at 9 am, so I did. Once I was at the emergency vomiting bile reflux and burping a lot with a super bloated belly, the "doctor" said I was doing it on purpose... I was keeping my belly bloated and burping on purpose... Which I think it s mental, why would I do this? So I asked him why do u think I would do that? And he said he didn't know, but according to his eyes I was acting... I told him I didn't want to have anything to do with him, to leave and see a gastroenterologist. So finally after suffering a gastroenterologist came saying it wasn't an emergency to take ibuprofen. If it wasn't an emergency why did u make me come from Maastricht to Eindhoven for some ibuprofen which I don't see how it could help. I have no words to express how disgusted I am. I have been mistreated in a place where sick people are meant to be assisted. I think a nice death would be much better to be fair. This is absolutely crazy

Medical care, surgery and aftercare are sublime. The medical team is personally involved with / with the patient. Top!! A listening ear is nice to experience. Tip: the in-house route system may be improved. It has recently been changed but not improved. Ex: route 32 has become 173. From the main entrance it is now actually 10min plus walking.

Just had yet another conversation with Mrs. Gordon (complaints officer) at the CZE in Eindhoven. I have no complaints about the operation that has been carried out superbly, but I do have complaints about the way in which the deductible of patients is handled.
I have telephone contact with the CZE outpatient surgery about a lipoma on my shoulder blade. I am asked how big the lipoma is. Since I am calling for work, my colleague has measured the lipoma and indicates that it is larger than 5 cm (diameter). An appointment is then made in the outpatient clinic for 16-12-2016. I ask the assistant about the deductible, as it is not life threatening and the year is almost over. Of course I don't want to kill my deductible in the last weeks of the year. Otherwise, I wait with the agreements until January 2017, so that I do not run the risk of getting my own risk twice. This was not a problem and would all fall under 2016. Now additional investigations are being initiated at the outpatient clinic following the appointment; a biopsy and an ultrasound. Again I come back to the surgeon, this time another and I am told that an MRI must also be made according to protocol. The other doctor forgot to bet. After the MRI I come back to the surgeon and an appointment is made to remove the lipoma. The appointment is made and I am scheduled and the lipoma is removed under local anesthetic. My sister takes time off to go with me, because I was told that because of the anesthesia at the shoulder blades, I was not allowed to drive a car afterwards. On the agreed date I am in the hospital and is called in. I enter the OR and a whole team is ready. The surgeon takes another look at my lipoma and tells me that she will not operate on it under local anesthesia. In other words; I am being expelled and still have to be helped under general anesthesia. Immediately to the anesthetist and the whole tune for anesthesia arranged, so that I am ready for the call under general anesthesia. ON March 21 I am helped by Dr. Nienhuijs and the lipoma is removed neatly.
What is my problem now; due to all the delay and incorrect planning of my operation, the operation under full anesthesia is 6 days outside the DBC that was created in December 2016, so I have to pay the deductible twice. 1 time for the treatments from 16-12-2016 to 15-03-2017 and 1 x for the surgery performed on 21-03-2017.
The following is declared by the CZE to my care provider: for the first DBC an amount of 418.90 euros, of which I have to pay 264.57 euros deductible.
For the second part I will be charged 500.32, of which I paid 331.66. In other words, I will be charged a total of 919.22 euros for the removal of my lipoma, of which I paid 596.23 euros, all because incorrect information is given at the CZE. Not fair. I initially turn to the health insurer, but they indicate that they only process the bills and cannot do anything about it. Then I turn to the CZE Complaints Committee, Ms. Gordon the complaints officer calls me back and I explain the whole story. To cut a long story short, CZE in this in the capacity of Mrs. Gordon indicates that CZE has acted correctly and that they cannot do anything with my complaint, so it is rejected. I have lost my deductible and learned an expensive lesson, but I hope everyone reading this story will pay close attention and learn from my experience. Once again I am satisfied with the procedure, but I find the entire process and the communication worthless.

The treatment is as they see you, if you are angry and want to know what happens they do whatever it takes to calm down and if you mention the police more ... but the attention and knowledge is lousy!

At first I thought it was a good hospital but it feels like they don t take me seriously like I had a appointment and it was moved so a couple days ago I called for information I waited on the phone for 15 minutes maybe even longer and they hanged up (that I waited so long was not the problem but that they hang up) so I called back and they told me to call them back the next day (the woman on the phone was really rude I was quite shocked) so I did what they told me to do and they still didn t say anything. I found this so rude I hope that they will change there attitude because I m dying of pain. Although some people that work there were sweet and kind, I hope they will start to take patients and there pain seriously. At a hospital the care of a patient should be there number one priority so please do listen to your patients ills.

Bunch of fumbles. My brother had a terrible backache and said it was really serious. No, said the doctors at the Catharina, just an infection. My brother got prednisone for that. In no time he was paralyzed and eventually died in November.
It is unbelievable that an investigation is not initiated here!

Bar bad 2nd time emergency admission with an ignition up to 2x times from 9am in the morning have to wait until 21.30 !!!! If you are then told that it will not work today, you must stay sober until it is your turn. Never again with a surgical procedure to this hospital. I don't have any other outrageous words for it.

Clean hospital and beautiful too. From outside has waiting shed for the clients. They also have big parking area. When you enter the hospital you can see the reception right away, there are also men and women standing in front of the door to ask if you need an assistance or a help. They have 8 ( if Im not mistaken ) big and wide elevators. They also have signs or ( bordjes ) to show you the right way. This hospital has also canteen, bakery flower shop hair salon etc. If you have health insurance you dont have to pay. In Nederland it is must to have your own insurance otherwise you have to pay a lot.

Opzicht is a good hospital, but you often find doctors there. Not really nice when you are in a lot of pain, and a small group comes to visit a stationary and to see you (I was half naked in my bed). Last time someone in training learned to attach to me. Without my permission. I was in so much pain that I could not even see who did what on me. I really do not think so. The girl tried to attach several times, she could not, but kept trying (sticking with the needle). So I got extra pain extra long. I have not been coming to Catherina since this incident. These kids are not going to practice on me!

Unbelievably bad hospital, my mother finally got an appointment after months for an operation on the kidneys. Eventually I went there with my mother and after 5 hours waiting someone comes to us to say that the operation is canceled and that we have to wait at least another month !! I do not advise anyone to go to this hospital, you never know what to expect, this does not make sense.
