I wanted to take the time to share my story. My girlfriend noticed Marley our cat was acting weird, not eating. So we took him to the vet. The vet wanted to run a lot of expensive tests and I paid for them, cause you take care of those you love, broke or not. And they found it could be a tumor, but thanks to x-rays it was most likely a foreign body that needed removed or he would die, but the cost would be between $1700 and $2500. I spent the last of my money getting the tests and what was left was supposed to be for medicine. I called all around to vets and places to get help. I applied to loans for pets and loans in general but all of it was denied or would be to long a wait to save him. Then this place was suggested to me and it was a miracle. They were willing to work with me help me pay to save Marley, and I could pay them back. I never felt so relieved. The down side is it was a tumor, and cancer had spread to most of his body and organs, the vet said he wouldn't last long, not even a specialist could do anything. Devastated. Heartbroken. Torn. I've lost pets to old age. But there was nothing more we could do. It just was his time. He wasn't old just 11, and he never showed signs or symptoms. It happened so fast. To aggressive to catch said the vet. But even though the story doesn't have a happy ending, it has a start to recovery. Cat Welfare still paid for the cost of letting him sleep and be at peace. No more pain, and for him to be returned to us... and I don't know where I would have been without Gail's help, and Cat welfare generosity. If you can donate please consider them first. And thank them for the work they do.

We go through Cat Welfare to get all the stray and/or abandoned cats at our apartment spayed and neutered and they're great. They really are, Cat Welfare really cares about the cats and they are very kind to help everyday people like ourselves to help control the stray population.. WE are very grateful and we would recommend adopting from this association. They truly are nice, caring people.

Stopped by because I have 2 domestic lovable cat kittens who need a home and would make great pets. They take only strays. Many of the cats where adorable. I was told that they may euthanize cats that have disease. They gave me some food and litter to help with the cats I had until they could get adopted. They also gave me a list of other places i may find help.

Always one of the best, kindest, and generous places i go to when it comes to cat adoptions. Ive done many times and the staff is so kind and helpful, the place is clean, especially considering how many cats there are, and they even tell you and know each cat so well to make sure youre the best match

The staff was friendly, the facility is pretty spacious and there was a nice variety of cats to choose from. However, there were a few sneezers allowed to circulate with the general population which is not good for the health of the non-sick kitties.

Absolutely loved CWA! I sent in an application last Sunday, got a call from them on Wednesday, and set up an appointment for that day. There are probably a couple hundred cats there, but the staff seems to know the personality of every single one. We told them that we were looking for a more cuddly cat and we were immediately introduced to the perfect one. He's been with us for about three days now and we couldn't possibly love him more! So happy we adopted from here!

Extremely unpleasant experience. The woman working there was extremely rude, barely looked at us or acknowledged our interest in adopting a cat and assumed we knew the protocol on when to fill out an application etc. NOT helpful or kind at all. My partner and I were going to simply get some information and look at the different cats available. For a first time adopter, I would not recommend going to this establishment.

We went in just looking around and we ended up adopting two Cats. Is a great place to adopt, I love how the rooms where setup, one room for the kittens, another for shy cats, etc. I was impressed how the cats are color coded by a necklace, it made the experience a lot more enjoyable!!!

My wife and I have a great deal of experience with cat rescues, both as customers and volunteers. I have to say, Cat Welfare is the best shelter I have worked with. The center is very clean and well organized, and the cats have been happy and healthy every time I have been here. The staff is friendly and helpful. Last time I adopted a cat, she got sick a few days after she came home and Cat Welfare covered her vet bill for us. I cannot recommend this shelter enough and the more I interact with them the less likely I am to go anywhere else.

It's amazing what they do to help cats here. The help is needed desperately and I really hope they can continue what they are doing. I am getting my cat fixed, and another stray fixed so she won't have babies in this cold weather. This place is so helpful.

Domino & Britney were adopted from cat welfare. Britney the oldest is 7 months and Domino is 5 months. Britney was originally Starburst and Domino was originally Darlington. The staff is knowledgeable and responsible. Doug did a great job with the first adoption and Jane did an excellent job with the second. Thank you to Gail & Aaron, and everyone else who made this possible.

Love this place! I adopted my two kittens here. They are so friendly and kindness to allow us to stay with all cats for a long time. If you have plans to adopt, they also supply cat carrier for us. I have recommended this shelter to my friends. They also had their own cats finally.

I adopted Evelyn couple months ago. She is the sweetest girl, very playful and affectionate. I couldn t love her more I used to live in columbus and go visit the cats there. Then I moved to Cleveland but still went there to adopt my kitty. The facility is amazing, also very quick to reply to applications even during this times of covid.

The employees/volunteers there know every single kitty they have there very well and they happily answer your questions. You can spend hours there with the kitties and won t be getting awkward looks:) they asked me to update them about Evelyn and send pictures as well, so I m writing for them now :)

she is doing great, her diarrhea and farting ended up being due to food allergy. She is thriving on duck food now. She is quite talkative and so fun to play with. Her sore at her chest healed and also not pooping outside of the litter box since the diarrhea is gone. My other cat seems quite happy with her too! He is a lot more active since her arrival, they play together and chase each other. Watching them is a joy for me :)

Thank you for having Evelyn there for me :) have a great new year!

I totally agree with Chris Gabriel 100%.
The owner was rude on the phone no customer service.
When i came in I was brushed off rudley and sent away with a flyer. Lady did not even listen. Continuing walking while i am asking her about procedures there. How in the heck you have a business for stray cats when its too small and you dont take cats that need a home. They do become stray cats you know .That might as well be a Cat hotel because your website says you take surrender cats and dont kill but you suggest humane society where they do. You dont have enough space for stray cats if thats the only cats you take from what you rudely said to me. This place sucks.

One of the nicest experiences I've had, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The facility was so clean for the amount of kitties there. They really do a fantastic job taking care of the cats. Granddaughter found a new fur baby, they are such a good match, he brings so much happiness to her and he definitely has his forever home.

If you want to adopt a cat, this needs to be your first stop. They have more happy and healthy cats than you could even imagine. I was especially impressed by how clean they keep the entire facility. I will be recommending them to anyone who asks.

They certainly don't seem to care about homing the cats if it means staying after for a few minutes, I wanted to adopt and to the volunteers would hardly talk to me because it was getting close to closing time (3:30), REALLY? I thought you cared about the cat and finding a good home for them. You couldn't stay another few minutes? Shame on you!

Wonderful place. They take very good care of the cats. We adopted 2 cats from there. I was impressed by the staff and how well they know about each individual cat and their personalities and there was alot of them! We walked in only looking to adopt 1 but ending up taking home 2! They call 2 time over several weeks asking how the cat were doing. Very well operated and i would highly recommend anyone looking to adopt a cat from here.

I love being at Cat Welfare. I volunteer there and they have so many lovable cats. The shelter cares for and loves these cats and it shows! I've seen some cats go from barely interacting with people to nuzzling into peoples laps. If you are interested in adopting a cat this is THE place!

I got my cat Sky from here, they suggested her to me. She looked like the meanest cat ever but they told me she was really lovable but hated other cats. I ended up taking her home 2 days after. She is the best cat I ve ever met. She cuddles with me every day and is super well mannered. This place is amazing and aren t biased about who they give animals to as long as you re a good fit. I can t wait for many more happy years with Sky.

This is a great place to go if you are looking for a new friend, the place is clean, the cats are free to Rome the building, seem to be well cared for, the staff is Friendly, and seem to really care for the cat's that are staying there and their jobs, I got a 4yr old tiger cat & he has settled in just fine & we are starting to become best friends. I named him Marmalad, as you can see he can get comfortable almost any where

12 years ago, as a kid, my parents took me here to adopt a cat. She was a skinny, sweet little thing that was found as a stray. This facility went above and beyond taking care of the animals, and made sure to explain to a child exactly what responsibility was required to take care of another living creature.

Nova's now 15 years old and just as healthy and happy as she was the first day we brought her home. I truly do believe the care she was given at Cat Welfare played a hand in her health later in life. These people truly care about the animals in their care and truly want the best for them.
