Castletroy Park Hotel, Limerick Review

Came here with a group didn't have enough seats. Poor management

Great 4* hotel... lovely conservatory and piano music in the evenings.. meals are delicious too! Had a great dinner ect on our baby christening last year- very competitive price and superb service!

Nice surroundings. Went there for lunch. Meat hot but all veg and potatoes cold. Spoke to waiter who was simply "Sorry about that".
Nothing else.
At bill payment time, he hoped we enjoyed our meal. I reminded him of the cold food but again he was just "Sorry about that"
????

Nice hotel the beer is not great though so maybe stay with bottles especially the function room.

We stayed here a couple weeks ago for a weekend staycation. Prices were excellent. We felt very safe as all the staff wore masks and/or visors, and the place was sanitized regularly. The staff were also really friendly and the food was too notch. We've stayed here before and will definitely be back.

Lovely room, spotlessly clean and very friendly staff. Nice touches like tea/coffee making facilities, robe & slippers, iron. Am not a fan of shower curtains. Generous and generally tasty breakfast but eggs don't survive well on buffets. Overall, very impressed.

Service is on the slow side and they try to do food in an overly fancy way at times but it tastes good. They do great Christmas parties too.

Had a lovely meal today which I thoroughly enjoyed and the staff were very helpful and friendly and do everything to ensure the customer wants for nothing. Lovely ambience in this hotel. I highly recommend this place and will undoubtedly be a regular customer.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff..across the road from UL and spar nearby..you can take a bus or taxi into the city either.. stayed here for three nights rooms are very clean and good quality.. small dogs up to 7kgs are allowed which is nice to see and lovely hotel with swimming pool leisure centre two restaurants and a bar.. food here is lovely but would also recommend The Buttery in Limerick city on williams street too for dinner or brunch (after 12pm).. Limerick park run is held in UL every Saturday morning lovely 4 loop run 5km and nice volunteers.. 10/10 would stay here again it's so beautiful and beside everything

The hotel is beautiful, our suit looked amazing. I personally liked the design a lot.
The service was absolutely five star, staff members were extremely helpful. Our aircondition didn't work properly and while we had our dinner they fixed that issue. By the time we got back to our room everything was perfect. The bed was very comfortable.
Our waiter was very nice, professional and helpful. We could feel he looked after us.
At the reception the staff member was also very nice and helpful.
The venue has a huge car park and that is free.
The reason I gave only four starts is, because we couldn't use the swimming pool and the gym (none of them). We were told they are fully booked. But if anything changes they would let us know. So the staff members were helpful, but still we didn't get a chance to do some sport (swimming and workout).

One suggestion to the hotel:
Would be nice to have a second light in the bathroom for the night time. Because the one in there is too bright and also makes the room bright, which (can) disturb the other person who would like to sleep. If there would be a night light, with reduced power that would be great. I think.

We went for afternoon tea. Quite a delay being served, but once it arrived we were very happy with the presentation, variety, quality and quantity which was served to us! Would be happy to return! Thanks.

This hotel is 5 star in every way , and the work they are doing to manage the Covid crisis is applaudable. Have stayed several times, and have tried other Limerick hotels, but the CPH outstrips then all! Their cream teas are amazing!!!!

Great hotel. Swimming pool & gym. Close to University. Immaculately clean and newly updated. Good bar menu.

Nothing to say. Excellent, great service, spacious and well appointed rooms. New hotel with extensive facilities, swimming pool, gym, conference center, restaurant, parking and a beautiful bar-pub. Professional, welcoming, and prepared staff.
Outside the city center but a few minutes from the center. I recommend it both for work and for vacation.

Such a lovely stay last weekend the staff were brilliant and I felt safe throughout my time there without it being too much. The food was fantastic and the beds were so comfortable. Will definitely be back.

Recently stayed at the Castletroy Park Hotel, myself and my partner had such a lovely stay the staff were brilliant and the food was amazing. The rooms were spacious and comfortable will definitely be back again.

It was alright but the rooms are really warm and our window was bolted shut and there was no air conditioning. Also had problems with the key cards and opening the door.
Staff were pretty friendly though.

Wonderful stay at the suite, beautifully decorated! TV with Netflix was a great addition! Great value!

The gym facilities here are great. Parking @ back and 15% discount on bar food for gym members. Not your usual meat head gym with weight lifters prowling the gym floor. Nice relaxed clientele and staff with sauna, steam room and pool. Towels also available in case you forget. Pool is open to kids and is safe secure and clean.

One of the finest hotels in Ireland in my view. Its a short 10 minute drive to the city of Limerick. And across from the University of Limerick. This hotel is great to host all kinds of events! Worth a stay! 5 star approved :)

Was down for a weekend recently for a family wedding and couldn't say enough good things about the hotel, it's a lovely setting and a really nice place to spend time. Staff are pleasant and always helpful and the food, breakfast and bar meals, is excellent.
Main event itself was a great evening and went like clockwork with a beautiful meal and brilliant staff, and everyone was left impressed. Would highly recommend for any event or just a really nice getaway.

We ordered the breakfast brunch today and it was devoured! Beautiful food !

Hotel without great charm, in the purest American style, but very good bedding and warm welcome from the people at the hotel reception. Those of the brewery, however, should take friendly classes ... We were totally ignored for 20 minutes despite our calls. Dinner ended at the mac do ...

This 4star hotel it a great find to stay in in Limerick. It is close to so many attractions such as King John's Castle, coolwater garden and Limerick University. There are loads of shops, restaurants and retail stores around to meet your needs.

Castletroy Park hotel staff were very friendly and abided by the social distancing covid19 rules. Temperature checks were taken upon arrival and all staff wore either masks and or face shields (visors)

Breakfast is dished out by staff and you have to book ahead for dinner times in the restaurant, bar and swimming pool.

We stayed in the suites for 2 nights and a night in the hotel. There are no interconnecting rooms or family rooms. If you are a family of five, you would need 2 rooms in the hotel. Dogs are only allowed in the hotel not suites. Amazing air-conditioning in both hotel rooms and suites.

There was amazing WiFi all around and my kids (age 9, 12 & 14) were thrilled to have no lagging issues when online. Netflix was provided on all TVs in the suites for no extra cost!

In all you can't go wrong with this hotel. My family and I will certainly be back again.

I recently attended a dinner party of 25. Everything was exemplary from start to finish . A step above the norm in every sense. The decor and ambience from the minute you walk in leaves you under no illusion as to why this hotel received their recent accolade of Hotel of the Year.
Staff were particularly pleasant, and highly professional . It was obvious they took pride in their work and their hotel.
We had several dietary requirements on the night , but nothing was an issue. We will be back !

Beautiful meal in bar...great friendly attentive staff. And great value on the early bird menu.

Attended the hotel after a funeral for soup and sandwiches. Food was horrible and lacked any flavour, and for the price paid was absolutely not worth the money. The staff messed up drink orders not once but a few times and weren t very friendly. Wouldn t recommend.

It was okay. The receptionst who greeted me was lovely and check in was very fast. The room was nice and had all amenities, however the bed wasn't too comfortable and the room let a lot of noise is (it was facing the courtyard where people stayed talking until quite late).

I stayed in Castletroy Park Hotel over the August Bank Holiday weekend and we had an amazing stay! The room was beautiful and food delicious! Service was outstanding despite being extremely busy. Hand sanitizers were available everywhere we looked and a brilliant temperature check at reception Already looking forward to our next trip!

A lovely spa experience today with a great therapist giving a wonderful massage with beautiful oils and creams. This was followed by a beautifully presented afternoon tea and prosecco. We also had the use of the gym , pool , sauna , jacuzzi and steam room. The staff were very helpful and kind .

Very nice suites. The room was spacious and clean. You also get access to the fitness center and spa.

Turned out great as we got to chill out in the lobby with food and drink with our miniature schnauzer, Charlie. Kevin is the best concierge ever and Charlie thought so too. Lovely staff. We even stayed a third night. Pleas stay dog friendly. Charlie is our family and we will definitely be back.

Excellent hotel. The room I stayed in had various facilities such as microwave / electric oven, etc. Spacious rooms, and super comfortable. The staff are knowledgable and helpful, the reception is warm and a great bar.

Went there for a meal before concert in UL. Food great and service very friendly and fast. Great spot for meeting people

Great spot really relaxing the bar staff are a credit to the hotel the lads couldn't do enough for us on our stay..

Recently refurbished and we'll managed hotel. Great wedding location and now with the additional car park spaces even better. Handy to be next to college as there is a bank and other facilities nearby.
Only problem with the hotel is the noise levels from weddings and events.

Food and service was excellent! We were served by young chap(Peter is his name) A very friendly and unbelievably helpful!! Food went down a treat too.Very pleased.

I stayed here with my cousin for a girlie shopping day and ...... WOW. The hotel was gorgeous with luxurious seating areas scattered around the hotel. The room was so cosy and spotlessly clean and 2 bottles of water were a nice touch in the mini fridge. Beds were very comfortable as well. Reception team were polite, professional and friendly. I have to give Karen a mention. Lunch was tasty and the portions were a good size. Bar staff were friendly and helpful as was the night porter. All in all this is a first class,well run hotel and I will definately be back.
