Casela is boring, all you see is birds and the attraction that is included in the entrance is closed due to bad weather when it's hot and extremely sunny. The staff are not a all useful and they all look angry and you feel like you are disturbing them. The safari is rubbish, the van that takes you is extremely uncomfortable and the road is very rocky, and you see some animals that are not very interesting.
The thrill mountain on the other hand is AMAZING. The staff there are super nice and friendly and make you feel very welcome. They explain so well and thank you to them for making it such a nice experience.

A great place to spend a few hours for the animal lovers and children. Very good collection of birds in the walk through aviary, animal farm and enclosure for the big cats makes Casela a great place to go and spend a whole day. A roller coaster, a tube ride and a vehicle safari are exciting additions. The 4D movie hall by the entrance offers exhilarating experience.
The staff are very friendly. My 3 year old son fell down and nicked his forehead. The staff immediately applied disinfectant and band-aid and offered a glass of juice, too.

Sat and nobody nobody visited, including activities. Then the animals have the number of fingers. I came Sunday and the reception tried to set up two tickets to enter me 1700 rupees and then he tried to install us by buying activities tickets even though they know that he is standing there are no activities ... Thank God I refused I saw with my eyes there are no activities !!!

Being able to interact with a large feline is NEVER a good sign. All travelers read in the meantime know that elephant rides and tiger temples is a no go. But here people just continue to interact. This is really not possible! The fact that you walk with them with a cane indicates that they have bad memories of such a cane (beaten or perhaps electricity). People think, you can't get close to them without these beautiful animals being mentally / physically 'broken'.

Best best experience ever !! The petting farm was so much fun although to feed the animals u had to pay an additional amount. Also to walk with or interact with the wild cats one has to pay an additional amount. The safari is a lot of fun especially with the ostriches chasing the van and pecking the railing hehe

We went to Casela Park today and were shocked! I can't understand all the good reviews!
People make you aware that people fill their pockets here at the expense of the animals! 8 lion cubs in a much too small cage on artificial turf and no hiding places and what's the worst without a mother! Abnormal, I can't think of any other word.
Apparently they are only in this cage during the day, whoever thinks. And even if it were, it's cruelty to animals. The adults are housed in desolate enclosures that are much too small and look emaciated and sick. It was also noticeable that all animals slept lying on their side despite the enormous noise level. Everyone should make their own picture of it. Walk with the Leon is animal cruelty in my opinion. I don't even want to imagine how the lions are made to endure it. The other big cats like the cheetah etc. also have a dreary existence.
The same picture can be seen with the giraffes.
I'm really not an exaggerated animal rights activist, but what takes place here should be banned. Everything is geared towards commerce, everything costs extra and you can't get out of nowhere without passing through a shop or a stand with "additional services". The animals are the ones who suffer! Please think about whether you want to contribute and visit this park! If we had known that beforehand we would not have gone there !!!

This is my 6th visit. Great activity to do with family or friends. To predict a day. The takamaka really fun we can never have enough, cinema 4 D Movie - It will be necessary to propose another film.
By cons to avoid restorations in small outlets
During my last visit, we decided to have our lunch (we were 4 adults) we ordered 2 hotdog combo + 2 chicken stewer the bread was stale. We had very disappointed dishes. Too bad

To begin with good aspects, the facility is nicely situated. Unfortunately, there is hardly anything good I could write about it. The staff is unfriendly, many facilities are closed, and the staff does not inform about it thoroughly. Most facilities have additional fees. We were particularly interested in interaction with cheetahs, but in spite that we were there at 4 pm, and the operation time was until 4.30, we were informed, that the place is closed. Would not recommend to a friend

lovely day out for all the family - well worth it. the only downside is they wont let you bring in your own food, and yet their food offering was to us - appauling... so dont plan a huge lunch there.. sorry :(

The park opens at 09:00 so do not come by the early morning bus. But rather take the bus from Port Louis (Immigration Square) to Black River starting at 07:40.

They do not allow visitors to eat inside the park.

In summer, therefore, bring hats, umbrellas and plenty to drink.

Nice day outing with the kids- lots of activities. Only restaurant for food and no other food allowed in. But the restaurant food was good with some good vegetarian options. Clean bathrooms- some with baby changing areas. Avalanche slide had some odd rules though- children over 1m could not be accompanied by an adult down the slide. I tried the slide myself and it was too fast to let a little child down by themselves. Something that needs to be reconsidered. Wear comfortable shoes- lots of walking!
Beautiful view from the hills!

Nice place to visit with friends and family. The price is affordable and the newly added Tulawaka is the cherry on the cake. Had to wait for 1hr but it was worth it. The 4D cinema is thrilling.. anyone will be delighted. I would recommend to extend the time for the movies or propose longer 4D movies for a reasonable price..

It's a great place to enjoy with kids, the staff is great and the park is awesome. Long waiting time is required though. Wait for the safari buses, wait for the toboggan, wait to fish. Bring some water with you. No snacks allowed inside and since the food is quite expensive, it's better to eat prior to visiting.

Everthing was good. The interaction with the lions...the roller coaster ride...the safari...the animals and birds in the farm...the 4D movie...everythig was perfect. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed being there.

Very good activity to do with family. The park is large, well organized and there is plenty to do. Count at least 4h to 6h visit for a family with children.

Flat on aviaries and felines that certainly lack a little space.
Personally, I find the proposed interaction with felines moved. You can caress them, walk with them ... All this seems a little exaggerated (and of course quite expensive).

Another flat; everything grows for consumption. Picnic actually forbidden inside and almost impossible outside. Prohibition to introduce food ... While the first stall selling snack is 20m inside the park. Restaurants particularly well signposted, unlike some parts of the course.

Nevertheless, it's nice to get lost in the park to stroll.

Safari truck top (except guide / photographer a little insistent).

Cherry on the cake: super sledge ride (accessible from 4 years) and 4D cinema, included in the price of the entry.

Between animal park and amusement park, Cazela is an attractive leisure destination ideal for families.

Budget about 90 for 5 (excluding drinks and options).

Tip: Eat and drink before you come, you will save money.

Plan also the transport in more (taxi or Loc car). It is not well served by bus ...

Very nice and open natural park, the only thing that hurts the price of services, in my opinion you can't spend 30 euros to enter, then another 20 euros to take 1 photo with lions, then others if you want a paper photo, and then spend more if you want to do other attractions in first person ... too much expense in my opinion to see poor animals.

If this is what Mauritius should be, then it should be the duty. Walking with lions a bit more expensive, but are you on vacation? We can save at home. It is definitely worth the experience. Anyway, I recommend booking in advance. They would no longer have room
