Excellent service with amazingly delicious High Tea.

Loved the venue. Parking was a bit problematic. Would recommend the seared tuna but the other meals were not as tasty as described and unnecessarily pricey.

Great service....top-notch waitress. The environment is genteel; beautiful music and lovely surroundings, capped by magnificent sea views The artwork and furnishings are interesting and fascinating...transporting one to another time and place.

A beautiful venue with exceptional service. Would definitely recommend paying them a visit. They also offer bike rental, super fun.

What an experience!
From the moment I picked up the phone to make a reservation I was greeted very warmly from the other side, the warm welcome we received upon arrival and the amazing view from our table overlooking the sea!
The service was amazing and everyone super friendly.
The food...Sjoe! I just want to go back and experience it all over again! The tastiest treats!
The building self is beautiful and transports you to an outing to old-school Venice, beautiful.

In this most magnificent setting, our meal did not provide the same..........had a Sunday lunch, treating friends to what we thought could be good, having done a food and whiskey pairing evening a few months prior.Apart from being pricey, only 2 tables occupied, the meal was somewhat disappointing. The duck and pasta starters were good, but the mains did not do it for us........the slow braised beef looked good, but was very dry, the line fish very dry and the burger uninteresting. Very disappointing, to say the least!

I attended the Christmas Themed High Tea today and must say that I was completely and utterly blown away!

From the effort that went into all the beautiful high tea bites, the beautiful decor, the setting and the amazing people!

A must see! Stunning decor has restored this old dame to the times of the Italian embassy of the 1900s. Viewsof the blue Atlantic from the terraces and dining rooms. Pleasant light meals.

Really worth a visit if you're in the scenic south. The restaurant serves really high quality food (I've had breakfast, lunch and coffee there before) at excellent prices. The best thing is the venue - its beautifully located, with great views, and stunning interiors. Don't forget to go and see the print gallery upstairs.

The ambience was good! Food was pretty good as well! Would recommend this place to anyone inthe area!

We recently celebrated my father's 80th birthday here and the staff, food, preparation were all fabulous. The Manager made us feel so welcome and she reassured us about accommodating the little ones in our group. They delivered on everything. Thank you for making a precious event extremely special!

Amazing venue, it feels like being in a venetian villa in the 1700s. The food is delicious: haute cuisine. The staff very kind and quick. A unique experience.

It's a beautiful Victorian styled cultural site with amazing staff working there. It's a cafe which can be used for events as well. This beautiful place has a wonderful view of the ocean and also has other useful facilities close by such as bus stops.

A beautiful old house with history and tales to tell, set on a fantastic coastline, with good food, scones that are the best, great views of False Bay and the ocean, a wonderful garden and a convenient walk from Muizenberg Beach. Definitely stop for tea and scones, it's a specialty here. When taking a walk along the Muizenberg-St James Walk it is a great stop on the way back. Rhodes Cottage and Het Posthuys are a stone's throw away.
