I am so grateful for Carver County Human Society! My home was empty without a canine companion. I searched for months and looked into breeders, until I was recommended to look at CCH. Meadow, has been amazing! She's perfect in every way! I am so blessed by this organization and allowing me to adopt her!

Great people...clean facility...reasonable fees...adopted Beautiful female young cat. She is doing great...just love her !!!
I was not impressed. They don't have a vet, so wouldn't take the animal. Then sent me to Golden Valley, where they too, wouldn't take the animal. Horrible experience!
I took a kitten that the police removed from a tree there. They wouldn't take it in. They never even suggested they could scan for a identification chip. I thought it was called Humane society?
Very poor wording on website and phone menu concerning how to handle strays. They seem to only want to deal with animals that are pets and NOT strays, especially kittens. This place sucks for not being upfront and saying they will not take strays.
I've volunteered for this group during the 'Walk Fur Love' event held once a year. It is the CSHS' largest fundraiser and always a hit with participants and donors alike. The volunteers in this group are very gracious with their time and energy. They truly care about the pets they help. Support them in any way you can!
As I waited for the foster mother to bring the cat family I was curious about, a woman came into the building with her family. She appeared to be upset, claiming she was promised one of the cats from the same cat family I was curious in; however, upon arriving to pick up the promised cat, she was informed there was no more cats, and they offered other selections. I had filled out an application, and was assured that the kitten I was waiting for was indeed assigned to my application. My family and I even were allowed to introduce ourselves to the kitten in the meeting room. After the lady's display of disappointment, I insisted on paying for the kitten before leaving. I was informed that payment was required upon pick up, was assured yet again by the director and the foster mother that I was to be the adopted mother of this kitten. We left with confidence, and waited patiently for the kitten to get her medical updates. I called the week we were informed she'd have her surgery. The response call was yet another assurance of adoption, and informed me that she'd be ready the following week. The call finally came. The kitten was ready for adoption that weekend; however, she had 2 applications ahead of me! Wait, what? I was assured 3x that I was the adoptive mother, and now I'm moved down to applicant #3!
Clearly, my case isn't the only one if the woman at the store was also promised a cat only to be given disappointment. I was informed that it was their mistake due to paperwork issues. I hope they figure out a better system of filing paperwork before someone else is crushed.
Adopted a few cats from here, each has been incredibly loving
Signed up to volunteer but I guess they don't need any volunteers if you don't take a cat home. Went to their orientation because they said they need volunteers, but because I didn't take a cat home to foster or adopte, they never called me back. When I am ready to adopte a cat or a dog, I Will NOT adopte an animal from there.
Date/Time of Visit: 08/10/2018 approximately 6:00PM - All dogs are in foster homes but cats are in cages in the building for you to take out and pet/play with. Has a small room with a door if you want to socialize with an animal. Large wall of animal toys for purchase. Staff/volunteers very friendly.
The staff worked with us over some issue's we had in the beginning with Leonard. Everything worked out and he's a charm to have in our home.
Went there on a Saturday to find a new cat to get along with our other cat. The staff was very helpful and upfront about the quirks of each of the cats available for adoption. The staff was obviously concerned with making sure that the home would be a good fit for the animals.
A great team of rescuers and a lot of beautiful cats!
I don't know anything about'em yet. I've applied for updates on current/ future adoptive dogs. So far, just a request for a rating.????
Super dissatisfied with the August 3rd Wellness Clinic. I had driven all the way to Chaska to find out they had canceled the clinic and the place was closed without notifying me after making an appointment and bringing my cats all the way wasting my time.
Poor communication.
The staff is very friendly here and they love the animals. Their adoption fees are reasonable and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
We adopted our cat from Carver County Humane Society today! We are so happy with her. The employees are caring, professional and helpful. Thank you to all of you for the work that you do. We recommend Carver County Humane Society to everyone looking for a cat.

Very willing to find you the right pet if if it isn t in the shelter at the moment. They will listen to what you are looking for and have many animals in foster homes that are available in addition to those at the shelter.
The staff are unorganized and rude. My dog and I arrived to have our picture taken with santa and the lady yelled at my dog for coming near her. Maybe don't work with animals if you become easily bothered. Yelling instills fear in pets, BTW I do applied behavior therapy and know a thing or two. Also it is now march and paid for a picture I never received. They also will not email me back.
I love what they do at the Humaine Society. All the animals seem very well taken care of. The staff is very friendly and are very helpful.
