Update 11/2019...
Rejoined today...Nothing has changed, but I see the exciting new building plans. Missed this Y.
Please consider placing some regular cycling bikes in the gym like other Y's have (so can spin where there's TV's and when there's no class) also we're all hoping will add a whirlpool-Spa?

Friendly staff and everyone there seems nice. Great pool and like that it opens early (the one big thing they're missing...a Whirlpool/ Jacuzzi SPA as feels great on sore muscles)

This is my 2nd home I love this facility & can't wait to see what the future holds for the Carlisle YMCA. For anyone who hasn't joined, I recommend you to take a tour & try it out you won't be disappointed especially now that they offer 24 hour acces .

This is a great gym. The equipment is a bit older and the fitness center can get really crowded, but this gym offers a lot of fun classes with very friendly instructors who know their stuff. You'll love it there.

Being alone in life, I feel like I don't belong and shouldn't be in that place since they call themselves "FAMILY YMCA". I prefer YMCA's that are welcome to the WHOLE community, even us nobodies with no families of our own.

XOXO

I have a long history with this particular YMCA, from prior employee, working out, swim team, and now taking my family. It's in a very convenient location if you live in Carlisle- easy to get to on foot, bike, or car. However, it's an old facility and some parts are looking very long in the tooth, especially when compared to other, newer facilities. The basketball gym (2nd floor) and the pool (1st floor) look like throwbacks to the 1970s, with enough upkeep to keep them functional. I heard of a capital campaign and effort to relocate, but that doesn't appear to have happened. In the meantime, it's still a good, convenient place to go or take your family, with helpful friendly people.

They have what matters most, but would certainly like to see expansion- a larger, more family oriented pool, larger work-out area, and updated sport areas (e.g. basketball, racquetball).

Even if i wasnt pregnant right now id give this ymca a -5. I only need the pool and 1. U need a reservation for 1 lane. 2. U can only have the lane for 1 hr. And 3. There r zero pool equipment there, not even 1 little therapeutic jet! 4. Its a very small pool for a town even as one as small as carlisle. I wouldnt even pay 10$ a month to use it.
I'll stick to driving 20 extra minutes to the next town and pay my 70$ a month fee for a worthy fitness center ty compared to their 40$ membership. Wat a joke of a facility just like most of this town.

P.s the entire facility seems to have a stagnacy odor to it and just makes one feel "down" like in a jail cell. They just need 2 bull doze it all down and restart from scratch in my opinion.
