When you arrive at Shelter Cove you can park in the General Parking lot. Dock C for the boat is a short walk to the left of the Neptune statue.
Wonderful trip. On the way out, Captain Mark tells you a bit about himself and the history of Hilton Head.
We saw 3-4 dolphins. Captain Mark also talks about dolphins and their behaviors.

This is a great time. Capt. Mark and his crew are a lot of fun. Very easy to find. Saw a lot of Dolphins and enjoyed the boat ride around the Island. Would highly recommend. Do the Craber J charter also. Run by Capt. Marks daughter. It is also a great time and lots of fun.
We loved our crabbing trip! The crew was engaging, knowledgeable, friendly, and great with the kids! We learned a lot about the history of the area and the wildlife. The cover over the boat was great to keep us from burning!
Went on the dolphin/sunset cruise with my hubby on our 1 year wedding anniversary to Hilton Head . It was very nice and relaxing. Loved the captains narrative. It was funny and entertaining and Bruce was very lively. Fun time and will def be back again. If visiting Hilton Head put this on your to do list.
We chartered a sunset Dolphin cruise for my daughter's wedding party rehearsal dinner pre game. Captain Mark was so accommodating. professional and informative on the cruise. We saw several dolphins and viewed a perfect sunset before he delivered us to our dinner destination. The boat was clean and the crew very hospitable. Captain Mark is very kind, knowledgeable, and entertaining, but I was expecting to see more dolphins. We saw a few right at the beginning, which was amazing. After that we didn t see anything. I understand it s not guaranteed but it can get pretty boring without seeing anything for the majority of the trip.
Captain Mark shared a ton of information and had really interesting things to say about the surrounding houses and area as we drove by. So while it was cool to hear about, it want what we had purchased tickets for.
Also, while they do serve soft drinks and snacks, they do not serve beer or wine. While this isn t a must have, it would have helped the experience.

No reservations needed. I had called beforehand, with a couple questions and had zero issue. Courteous and all questions answered. We pulled up about 25 mins before 11, free parking. Short walk to the dock. Paid when boarding. They accept card/cash. VERY reasonable pricing!! $20 per person for almost two hours? Yes, please!
The boat is large. Two levels. VERY clean. Spacious. Has a snack bar and restroom is on board also.
Capt Mark was a wonderful host. He narrated most of the ride. Historical and general points of interest, great sense of humor , down to earth. Laid back. When we saw dolphins, he made sure to slow/turn so everyone had a chance to see.
Nothing felt rushed. It wasnt crowded. The weather was fantastic. We saw a number of dolphins, birds, and even saw a manatee before we left the dock. Also got a kick out of seeing other people parasailing, jetskiing, and boating.
We loved it and *Will absolutely * return and recommend them to others.
I don't understand how anyone could possibly complain about not seeing dolphins in other reviews. They are wild animals, they come and go as they please. Nothing is guaranteed. Come on now! Use some common sense. Even if we hadn't seen any wildlife i still would give five stars bc of how great the ride was. Relaxing and fun. Great way to see different parts of Hilton Head.

We saw lots of Dolphins. We have two small children - 2.5 years and 1 year - and this boat is the perfect size for them to move around. We saw some smaller pontoon boats, which would have made the cruise more challenging.
Our family had the BEST time on a sunset cruise with Captain Mark! It was great to hear the history of the Island, have him note points of interest, and call out to us when there were dolphins (and a baby!) within sight of the boat. Reasonably priced and a relaxing, beautiful way to end the day on HHI.
I have taken this tour twice now. Once during the day and one at sunset. Compared to the other prices for similar tours this can't be beat!

Great tour to take the family on to see dolphins! It's about 11/2 -2 hours and a bigger boat that has 2 levels you can walk around. They have snacks on board to buy as well. Had a good time and got some nice pictures.

Horrible boat captain with no respect for the ecology as the Holiday speed thru Broad Creek while I was on a kayaking trip. Apparently he often exceeds the speed in a no wake some.

A very good time. Captain Mark is very knowledgeable about dolphins. We saw lots of dolphins and got a history lesson about the Island and other sights. Everyone should do it once. Or more. When you get off, there are numerous good restaurants within walking distance.
The cruise overall was a nice two hours. The owner shares his knowledge of the area throughout the cruise. Dolphins were easy to see. The boat is nice and provides a nice atmosphere. Whether you sit on top or along the sides you will have a great view of the ocean at sunset, and then top off the cruise with nightime fireworks over the water.
Cruise was relaxing and informative. I was allowed to bring my small pet and two children aboard with me.

This was a pleasant ride; saw many dolphins and a pretty pink sunset. Bring earplugs as the loudspeaker is extremely loud. Don't forget sunglasses or binoculars like I did. Removing a star because although I know Captain Mark didn't mean anything by it, making a prolonged joke about how men usually abandon their female partners and children is no longer acceptable or funny in today's world.

Went on the sunset cruise. I wasn t expecting much, but the views were way better than anticipated! Captain Mark was a little punny for my taste but interesting and informative. He actually spent a significant amount of time circling areas where there were dolphins sighted so everyone could get a good look. The vessel was exceptionally clean and well-kept, even the restroom. Very positive experience and reasonable price. Only drawback might be the wayfinding to dock C .... took some looking as there is not much signage if you don t know the marina.
Boat ride was 24 dollars at night 20 dollars at 11am and 2 pm.i and my wife enjoy the boat it was fun.Captain very nice and informative of the area.Many boats to choose from but this is the biggest and you want get river sick.he has a bathroom being a diabetic that was important,also a snack bar.he leaves out on time so better get there early....

Our three kids had a blast! We bought super sweet t-shirts on the cruise and the kids keep asking if they are clean yet.. lol .. It was so awesome. It is a must when visiting Hilton Head:)
My first experience with capt mark was when I was in grade school, now my children are lucky enough to enjoy his dolphin cruises. If you want to experience the adventures of the waters that surround Hilton head island, why not cruise around with someone who is a staple to its growth and its surrounding for almost 40years?!! So I took my children on the dolphin cruise. It was so much fun and we were able to see some dolphins not very many but the captain was very entertaining and it was nice and relaxed
Captain Mark tells entertaining and educational stories about local history, geography, birds, and dolphins along the route. The open air seating on the boat is ample. The price is very affordable for a family of four. The online tickets and automated reminders and instructions were perfect. Easy to locate, prompt, safe and professional. Ignore the few complaints and negative reviews. Understand that Captain Mark cannot control the weather or dolphin participation. We saw 3 or 4 dolphins for a couple brief moments. The cruise, scenery, and breeze in our hair was more than worth it even if we had not seen a single dolphin.
My husband and I joined captain Mark's cruise on 10/12/2019.
We made 280 miles from another state to find out that almost no one allows pets on board, and we were extremely happy to find this tour, especially for such a low price.
The boat was clean, we had plenty of space to choose and captain's stories about the surrounding area were really interesting. We bought some drinks quite cheaply, and they gave a glass of ice to our pup for free.
This trip gave us a chance to have some rest, enjoy the views and have fun watching dolphins and we are grateful for it. It took almost two hours instead of 1,5.
Unfortunately, we whipped away from the boat without tipping since we did not want our pup to make any mess on the board but I genuinely hope that my feedback could help other tourists to make a choice and appreciate the cruise as well.

We did the sunset dolphin cruise and it was amazing! We saw tons of dolphins including mommas and their babies! Captain Mark is very knowledgeable and knows the area and history very well. The tour couldn t have been better. It was very easy to locate as he has signs at the entrance to the dock so you know where to go. I would highly recommend them for people looking for a dolphin tour.

We've been on a few dolphin watches and this one was a dud.
Not because we didn't see dolphins, we know that can happen. Mainly because the crew could not have possibly been less personable.
Dolphin tour was awesome. Saw them few minutes in. Also got some cool fact about hilton head island. Small snack bar on board to a little pricey but ok. Upper deck full sunlight bottom decks has shade. Dont take babies its to hot.
