Wouldn't be my choice for care for anyone I care about . Dr Lisa kolb put my sister at risk for serious infection and complications due to not following strict protocol while performing dialysis. They did not have accurate records of what type of dialysis she is currently doing, and this is the health system she attends weekly.nursing staff was rude and tried to kill my sister twice with inaccurate procedure then was argumentative when their mistakes were pointed out and asked to refrain by patient and person in charge of her care. Their lack of communication extended to dietary also as they could not get the correct diet that is followed by my sister, one that is clearly stated in her records.

Sarah from Xray showed such sympathy for my situation. I walked from er to xray. My back was killing me. Sarah carried my purse for me. Offered for me to hold her arm and hand more than once.I didn't want to be a chore. But she offered and took my bra off for me. Then requested I get a wheel chair so she could take me to my car. I was in sooooo much pain I couldn't think straight or I would have asked. Then!!!! Sarah from xray wheeled me all the way to my Parked car . I am literally in tears I feel sooooo appreciated as a personal patient. Then she wheeled the chair back around the hospital because she had to go the long way to get in. My back is really hurting but my heart is joyful. Sarah you've out done yourself. Your devotion to this hospital speaks volume. Your actions of kindness will be remembered above the horrible experiences I've had in the er and stress test departments. We love you Sarah keep shining bright. This is what Capital Regional Hospital mission is all about.

This is the worst hospital in the entire United States. The woman who is the receptionist at night is the rudest, nastiest most hateful person I have ever met in my life, probably ever. I have never been talked down to in such a manner in my life. I went there bc I was covid positive and I brought my husband bc I was having respiratory issues that were causing me to black out and fall. I could not talk do the the severity, for if I did talk, I would choke on my own phlegm, see black and red and pass out... she screamed at me and talked to me like I was an animal. Told me if I didn't talk, she would say I was refusing treatment.... do not go there... I went to st Mary's where they immediately put me on oxygen bc my oxygen was at a 67%... this woman should not be working in medicine, nor with the public. Shame on her!

Very disappointed with the overall atmosphere. Waiting for my brother to have a child. We obviously all know, this takes time. Their OB waiting room has been having conferences, which is no problem. We ve been here for 7 hours, then security and an employee walks in questioning us. (Mind you we live three hours away didn t want to miss this) Don t designate people to a waiting room if there is going to be a problem. Either that, or maybe allow more than 2 visitors in a room! Not only that but one, rude employee kept coming in doing his laptop work in here. If you re not on the clock find somewhere else to do your stats, a waiting room for worried family members is not the time and place to mingle. Couldn t believe the attitude of the nurses in the maternity wing either, if you don t like your line of job, transfer.

Overall, don t go to this hospital. The only nice thing that was offered was parking. If you re wanting a good atmosphere for your family, or welcoming more family then choose another place. With me going into this workforce, it s very sad to see these attitudes from employees. Don t appreciate the scowls, the degree doesn t make you better than anyone else. Try to lightened up the mood. Would give zero stars if i could.

The nurse Grace was very rude, unprofessional, not willing to help or assist with others. She wasn t knowledgeable on hospital policy and had a Nonchalant non-caring Demeanor !!! I Would not recommend this place to anybody

I've had 2 surgeries at Capital Regional Hospital this year and I had the very best care. I was treated with respect and they answered my questions very thoroughly. Everything was on time. I couldn't have asked for better care. Dr Wilhelm and Dr Deffenbaugh for my surgeries were great and very caring as well.

Brought my son to the ER on july 3, 2021. He had severe migraine pains and was suffering. My son is one that usually refuses medical care at all costs, but he had even brought himself to their ER earlier that afternoon to try to get some help. If he finally makes the decision to go seek medical help, it's because he truly needs it.

He had been sick in the previous weeks with flu like symptoms and now had migraines so bad that he was literally in tears. The first time he went to their ER that day, they gave him a rapid test for covid. When that came back negative, they gave him a prescription for antibiotics and a sinus spray. Nothing for the migraines that he had been suffering for, for 3 days.

His pain stayed steady, he called me in tears again, over his pain, saying he just didn't know what else to do. I brought him in to the ER at 10pm that night.

We got him admitted and the nurse asked why they hadn't had him on fluids when he was in earlier. Of course, he didn't know why any of that hadn't been done. With the promise of a medication to be administered in an IV drip, he finally felt like there was hope for the pain to finally go away.

They put him in a room in the ER and we waited. And waited. A different nurse came in, asked a few basic questions. I asked about the fluids, she was very short with me, and a bit snarky. Not much understanding for the 27 year old man that was moaning in pain in the room.

So we waited until my son just got so frustrated that he left. When you have a dim view of medical providers, and they don't seem to care when you do reach out for help, I can understand the frustration.

Why is it that ER rooms are anything BUT an EMERGENCY room? This kid was in real pain, and not much effort was made to help him or give him meds. But you could certainly hear staff talking, joking and laughing and making rude comments about what I assume, were other patients. Why wasn't some movement made to at least get something done? Why would you leave someone moaning in pain for 5 minutes, much less, one hour? He told me that it seemed that as soon as they found out that he wasn't COVID positive, they didn't care. He won't go back.

I went in with extreme pain, passing a kidney stone. Blood pressure was extremely high due to the pain. When I arrived the person at the desk was very quick and told me someone would be out to get me. After a wait of about 25 minutes (with extreme pain and vomiting) I was taken back to triage. FINALLY, I thought I was going to get some help, NOPE! They put me in a waiting area out side the triage room and told me they were cleaning a room for me. Okay how long can that take? Another 25 to 30 minutes later, with unbearable pain, I asked how long it would be before I could see a doctor and the nurse told me she didn t know. At that time I told her to get me an ambulance to TRUMAN VA. (Trust me, I would have been seen sooner and treated a whole lot better at VA.). This nurse told me she would talk to the Charge Nurse and about 5 minutes later I had a room. On the way to the room I asked how long it would be before I could see the doctor, the nurse went through a list of things that has to be done before I could see a doctor and get something for the pain.

By this time all the nurses have extreme attitudes with me because I wasn t happy with the treatment. I was treated like an uneducated, lower class ignorant patient, who was interrupting them.

Soon after I got into my room the doctor did come in. He was the only good part of the visit. HE WAS PHENOMENAL AND I MEAN PHENOMENAL. Within minutes I had pain meds and could relax enough to get my blood pressure down.

Went to MRI AND GUESS WHAT.- it was a kidney stone. I wasn t drug seeking, or pretending to be in pain. It was real. Turns out I m not uneducated or ignorant. And I won t be low class enough to get out of paying the Bill for my delightful visit to this ER last night.

I m not sure who voted this hospital #1 but I promise you they will never aak me how I would vote for them.

Worst treatment ever!
