Nicely updated classic southern hotel. Clearly a fixture in Little Rock when it was built and it has stood its ground. Great high end restaurants, clean well kept rooms, pleasant staff. Well located and easy to walk out of for a local drink or morning coffee. I grabbed a coffee at a local cafe and walked along the River early one morning in the fall, very pleasant stay.

I can't describe my stay bc for some reason this hotel blocks out all of its dates saying there are no rooms available. As you can't tell me that this hotel is completely booked from now until March 31, 2022! Yes 2022, not 2021! Not only that, but they use 2 different color codes to say they are booked, same description for both, one is just striped lines and the other is dark green with a gray triangle in upper right hand corner. We were trying to book rooms here for our gymnastics meet that was being held at the Statehouse Convention Center because we don't use the Marriott brand that is attached to the convention center. Guess we will be booking our standard Hampton or Hilton and walk to the convention center, or break down and go against our vow to never stay in a Marriott ever again!

I had a really great stay. I don't have anything unique to say about the hotel itself - it's all been said. I just wanted to comment on the valet staff - they are by far the most professional valet staff I have ever seen. By a mile. And the fact all the ones I experienced were younger guys - I would hire any of them in a second. I'm not sure what you all are doing to train them, but you could teach a class on professionalism. You figured out something alot of people don't realize - these are the first and last people you see when you go to the hotel. They set the tone and do if very well.

This is a beautiful hotel. My family with 2 small children stayed here on Saturday 9/11/21 in a superior double room and I thought the room was elegant and extremely comfortable. The valet service and the front desk service during check-in and check-out were world class. We chose this hotel for our travels because we were on a Tesla road trip and the hotel has a Tesla destination charger. We had a lovely meal at the hotel restaurant. Because this stay was a highlight of our trip we booked a return stay on the return leg of our trip and this proved to be an expensive mistake.

I made a reservation online with AMEX travel that was prepaid. My family was excited to arrive and check-in on Saturday 9/18/21. The valet service was again phenomenal, however, at the front desk we were told there was no record of our reservation. They still gave us a room as a walk-in. We were given a room that did not have working A/C. The room was 82 degs. My husband also observed that the closet light was broken and would not turn off. When I called the front desk, I was simply told they would send maintenance up. This was not acceptable. I had 2 small children that had been in a car all day. I went to the front desk to speak in person. They did have an additional (but slightly smaller) room to move us to. Great! the A/C worked, the room was cool. There was no offer to assist us with moving our luggage between rooms. Then I noticed that the hotel had pre-authorized the entire room rate plus taxes on my AMEX even though we had a prepaid reservation, so I called the front desk again to verify whether we'd be charged for the room again since they had no record of our reservation. (I was told that the hotel suffered a power outage during the week that affected several of their systems) They said yes, I would be charged again until their revenue department could resolve the missing reservation with AMEX on Monday. We were staying for 1 night, a Saturday night. I then used my vacation time to contact AMEX. They then contacted the front desk and we were only charged valet charges plus tax at checkout. I received an email correspondence from the hotel, the morning after we had already checked out confirming that the hotel did learn that we did indeed have a prepaid reservation and would not be charged the room rate again. Overall the service we received from the same staff on our 2nd visit to this hotel was not at the level that this hotel is known for. At $500/night USD including taxes and valet, I expected to be able to enjoy my stay and not to have to spend my entire stay resolving a mishap that occured because of a system failure on their end. The level of service we were treated to on this stay was entirely different that our first stay and was disgraceful resulting in my overall rating of 2 stars.

This is a luxurious, gorgeous hotel in a central location with very attentive staff. On a recent trip down South, it was the nicest place I stayed, but the reason I can t give it five stars is that it wasn t the most comfortable. The gorgeous drapes you see in the photos do not easily close to block out the light, and the water pressure is so-so. For the staff alone, I d give it ten stars, and for the vibe, another 20, but for practical purposes, I m not sure it s all worth it.
