This team put together is ignorant and delinquent in knowledge on how to effectively help the homeless.
Coming from a man who deals in high end sales, hates to see people homeless/suffer, and has traveled the world. Columbus simply needs to re-image this idea or the PEOPLE currently involved with Capital Crossroads.

I think they need to review their policy on cold weather. I feel sorry for the officers working outside, and not being allowed to be in a warm truck. It sucks that the ones who make the policy are the ones that sit in a warm office. And no I am not a employee or a ex employee.

About Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District

Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District (SID) and Discovery SID are two organizations that work together to keep Downtown Columbus a safe, clean, and vibrant place to live and conduct business. The Capital Crossroads SID was established in 2000, while the Discovery SID was established in 2010. Both organizations are funded by property owners within their respective districts.

The Capital Crossroads SID covers an area of approximately 210 acres in the heart of Downtown Columbus. It includes parts of the Arena District, Capitol Square, Gay Street Corridor, Riverfront, and Scioto Mile. The Discovery SID covers an area of approximately 90 acres in the eastern part of Downtown Columbus. It includes parts of East Long Street, North Fourth Street Corridor, and South Third Street Corridor.

The primary goal of both SIDs is to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors by providing services that supplement those provided by the city government. These services include cleaning streets and sidewalks; removing graffiti; providing security patrols; landscaping public spaces; promoting economic development; organizing events; and advocating for policies that benefit their districts.

One way that both SIDs promote economic development is through their grant programs. The Capital Crossroads SID offers grants for storefront improvements, marketing initiatives, safety enhancements, public art installations, and more. The Discovery SID offers grants for facade improvements as well as marketing initiatives.

Another way that both SIDs promote economic development is through their partnerships with local businesses and organizations. For example, they work closely with Experience Columbus to promote tourism in Downtown Columbus. They also partner with local arts organizations to bring public art installations to their districts.

In addition to promoting economic development, both SIDs prioritize safety as a top concern for their districts. They provide security patrols seven days a week throughout the year to ensure that residents feel safe walking around at any time during day or night.

Both SIDs also prioritize cleanliness as another top concern for their districts because it contributes significantly towards creating a welcoming environment for visitors who come into town from different places around Ohio or even other states/countries worldwide! They have teams dedicated solely towards cleaning up litter on streets/sidewalks so people can enjoy walking without having trash all over them!

Overall these two special improvement districts play an essential role in keeping downtown Columbus safe & clean while also promoting its growth economically!
