Our site crew has confirmed our order was short roughly 142 sq. ft of flats with our order. Our hopes are that Canyon Stone operator in the yard failed to load an extra partial pallet. With your shop being down all week for year-end inventory is concerning. I have left a message , and sent a separate email
PLEASE respond as we only have crew at site today 8/22/19
Terrible customer service. Got tired of waiting for a call back just to get a sample so we went with another company.
Everything from viewing the showroom & all that was fine. BUT..when we went to pick up our Stone & we were told to pull around back. We went around back & sat for 10 minutes. I called the office & told them no one was back here to help. She said she d send someone out. A man came out & told my husband just to hang out, the guys are taking a break...we sat for another 7 minutes..
EXCUSE ME..OUR TIME IS VALUABLE TOO...SO RUDE.
& you let your worker smoke while operating a fork lift & around customers..very disgusting.
AND MY HUSBAND HAD TO HELP LOAD OUR ORDER!!
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! The only reason we had to use them is because our newly built house we bought had stone from them & we needed more.
I'm a truck driver that delivered a load here. Fast unload but dock set up is terrible. Tricky blindside. Watch out for broken pallet pieces with nails everywhere.
Olathe, Ks store! What a mess this company is, the new general manager is an unreliable man, he won t return phone calls always in meetings the stone has many issues it s a surprise they still receive business. It s also astounding to me why they still have product out that you can t even get, like the fire pits or pavers. False advertising! although dealing with Courtney or Katie is such a pleasure they always return my calls on time or make sure my complaints are heard. They are great ladies to deal with so when customer need an ear go to them.
Good service and good work. Have used them on quite a few projects and houses we build. I have used others in the past and Canyon Stone always backs up their work if I need them to.
Finished work is beautiful, but I had to get there on my own. Sean from Canyon stone showed up at my home with no images, photos, or samples; he even had to borrow my tape measure, to discuss wrapping my pergola peers. As a return customer, he was unable to visually match my existing stone, and I had to go back through old emails to provide him the color. I was emailed a single number bid for the job and told to mail a check to the office in Olathe, with no address provided. Now I'm not sure how others do business, but without a contract and itemized bid on letterhead, I was not going to just mail a check to an office, so I called the office manager Susan, who was able to email me the necessary documents and was the reason the project proceeded. With no initial images, the square pillars that Sean recommended, when build, I found I didn't like at all, and I paid the canyon stone carpenter a second fee, out of pocket, on a Sunday to come and rebuild for me. (Dennis is a SAINT!) When the day for stone finally arrived, the workman showed up on time, but without the 30 minute heads up that was supposed to be given, so unfortunately he had to wait on us, as we have an old dog who can''t easily be rushed. The job wasn't finished in one day, and the mess was left all over my back yard and patio. I was told by the workman that he would see me in the morning; though I was not prepared for him to begin running a saw at 6:40am the following day. (It would have been nice to be asked.) When the work was finished, they left without even a word and without cleaning up the sharp pieces of rock and mortar that littered my yard, patio, and driveway. No one called to see if I was pleased with the work, or if the job was completed. I did receive a call about the second half of the bill being owed. While the completed work is beautiful, it was a battle the entire process.
While the installation of a stone wall was done well by Canyon Stone, I am very unhappy with the business dealings of this company. I chose natural stone from another stone company since Canyon Stone did not carry natural stone. I did all the leg work on it. That stone company delivered it to my house so that Canyon Stone could install it. and Canyon Stone invoiced me for the stone significantly more than the retail price I would have paid directly. They offered small adjustment but still a mark-up significantly above retail price. They also charged installation labor for more square footage than was on the job. When questioned about it their response was that I was lucky they didn't charge me for more. Very disappointed with the sales staff and business dealings of this company. Would not recommend them.
Work above average, destruction of property.
The first time I have them out was for the new construction of my house. I was not there during this time. The work looked good for two fireplaces except for using too much mortar.
The second time it was for pillars outside my house. I was not at home at the time. The workers showed up post construction. They drove through my brand new lawn several times and overall my sprinkler heads. I have 20 acres. They could have drove anywhere but 30 ft in front of my house on my new grass.
This company is pretty terrible to deal with. They accept no returns, even on merchandise that could easily be returned such as mortar, lath etc. Trying to place an order is also insane! They have to have written confirmation (about a dozen times) and only accept cash/checks. Wouldn't recommend them.
Terrible customer service. We ordered stone in April to be ready for pick up May 13. That date passed, no call keeping us updated on our order. We called and emailed several times Over the next few months asking about the status and they always said they d check and let us know. They never let us know. Finally just getting our order in August only because I kept on them about it, never because they took the initiative to keep me informed. Will not go back and would NOT recommend!
I ordered their product through a local farm and home store. I ordered flat and corner stones for my fireplace. I received about 1/10 of what I bought (3 weeks late), and what I did get was obviously remnants from several different batches. The corner stones were a completely different color. The store was very accommodating, and showed me that the order was properly placed, and expressed their own frustration. Apparently canyon stone has been recently sold and things are a mess. Please look somewhere, anywhere else for your purchase.
New house construction, Canyon provided stone for exterior and fireplace. Also handled stone and brick installation. First class stone product, first class installation by their sub-contractors. Totally satisfied.
Unloading 4 pallets took 5 hours, so I was late for the next pickup, but the staff is very polite so 3 stars.
In 20 years of building homes in KC, this is the most mismanaged and dysfunctional company that I can remember. Service, product, Sales, and Mgmnt have all shown massive issues. Save yourself from getting caught in their mess of an organization and look elsewhere. Included picture is of their product of which they are claiming (after months of seeking a response) is acceptable.
Horrible customer service in store! I was greeted very nicely at first, but then when asked who my builder was and I responded with "we are the contractors for building our own home" the women more or less acted like I was the dirt on the bottom of her shoe. When I asked if I could get some pricing she said I would have to talk with a salesmen, but ofcourse there was no one available to speak with me, she took my name and number, never have heard from them, I've even called 2 times since. It's been 4 weeks now. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!
