I have loved this place for 20+ years. Great atmosphere, Family oriented, wonderful food at a great place!

Your average Chinese buffet, lots of options. But not the best environment.

My family and I stopped in for lunch about 1:30 pm and was greeted very quickly. The food as per any buffet was the same assortment. However the quailty was great for the time of day it was. I recomend stopping here and giving it a try if you haven't already.

Eat there all the time but the past few times I've been there the food is all the same either cold or old and the food is not as good as it used to be don't know who's cooking but it's not very tasty staff very friendly been going there for years but I'm not going back

Food tasted like it was leftover from lunch... When complaint was made they just smiled

First time there food was good the desert cakes was dry but waiters was nice

Good food, and you dont have to wait, perfect for a busy Sunday afternoon.

The food was terable we ate there at 530pm it wasn't fit to eat the steak was dryed out and so tough you really could not chew it.the owner had 3 kids that had play guns running and playing guns all over the place screaming and ducking. Behind customers we got up went told the manager and she laughed at us and charged us $20.00 and said laughing sorry. DO not go there !

Service was nice, half the food was cold but other than that it was alright

I've been coming here since I was a young kid and is still a family favorite. Their cheese wontons are addicting. Family owned and they are very nice people. The best Chinese restaurant in Decatur.

This place is one of the worst to eat. It was completely disgusting. The food was horrible and it was a piece of hair stuck in my brownie. I reported it to them and she said it may be the customers. Smfh I will never take my child here again and I'm reporting them.

The most awesome family owns this restaurant and we love when we can come have lunch or dinner. Recently #Decrocks got together to have a Christmas Rock party here, everyone had an amazing time... friends have become like family to each of us!
Canton House has both great food and service, the owner pops by to say hello and personally invites us to come back often. We love that they remember us and are never anything less than amazing!

Take out too expensive, charged for 2 meals. I have been going to this restaurant for years. I went over a year ago and said never again because food made me sick. Went again today.again food made me run to bathroom immediately after reading
Won't be going to eat there again. Have learned my lesson.

This is the only good Chinese in Decatur; at one point it was one of the worst places to eat, but the new management really turned things around

Good buffet but make sure to come at the start of lunch or dinner. Otherwise, sometimes the food could be dry. Very good selection though.

They don't have a huge variety of options, and the quality of the food was subpar. I'd stick with Chow King in the future.

Food and Atomosphere is great. Selection is slightly limited, but makes up for it in quality. One of the best places to eat in Decatur.

Go at the beginning of lunch or the early evening when the food on the buffet is the freshest,there'l be plenty of fresh food that way and a much better dining experience here

I enjoy the place when they have certain help there would help if they hired some that understood drink orders and food not always hot as you like but over all I go back cause the food is good when it is at it just comes out

I eat at Canton House every 2 weeks when I get payed I been eating there when they was on high way 31 the food is great

I really don t like Chinese food. But the employees were extremely kind and helpful and this is a great restaurant overall.

You all need to stop lying about the food here. It s nasty and never fresh. Eating old left overs and the waistress has a bad attitude (and it s not the Asian woman she is very nice)

Awesome food , everything fresh in peak times is the best in Decatur , owner is a great guy and staff is top knotch only place in Decatur that I eat on a semi regular basis they are some kinda good I've never caught them on a bad day , pay them a visit a decided for yourself ....

Ordered beef dish....horrible is just not good enough. Absolutely worst food ever!! Beef was so tough I fed it all to the dogs!! Would never recommend this restaurant.

The lady on the phone was nice. But the food was nasty. I didnt receive my whole order. I will never order from them again. Had to throw it all away.

Well, I ve been abiding in Alabama for about four months now, and I have been looking for some good Chinese food, to no avail.
I finally got desperate; I texted my cousin, who has more dietary restrictions than a Facebook forum of Anti-vaxxors. Upon her questionably dependable recommendation, I came here.
While not the best place I ve ever been to, it is definitely a oasis in the wasteland known as the ethnic food culture of northern Alabama.
Have you ever drove through Illinois and you see the Now leaving Illinois sign, and automatically get this feeling of relief as your tension leaves your body; you pull over at the first rest stop you come to, and unpack your civil rights and common sense that you had to put away upon entering the cesspool of Illinois, because believing in and utilizing certain unalienable rights will get you locked up under the jail in that barbaric state.
Anyways, not to take you off track. But if I were to compare Chinese buffets to states, then all the other ones in Alabama that I have purveyed, they were Illinois, California, and New York; dismal, dystopian, quite simply horrendous experiences. While Canton House is like Louisiana during Mardi Gras, purty great food, good environment, and smells slightly funky. But honestly a great time. Even though it will never be as good a Texas.

I guess what I m getting at is; this is a solid buffet that I will definitely return to.

Your average all you can eat Chinese food. I was with a large group and many people had difficulty finishing items. The meat was tough and egg rolls were rubbery.

The have never had a buffet that tastes so good. Everything was cooked great and fresh......GREAT JOB JIMMY

Most of the food that I tried was either bland or too dry and seemed like it had been on the buffet past it's normal shelf life. Did manage to finally find something to eat. Was not impressed overall.

If I could give this place a negative star I would it is disgusting all the food nasty and the thing about it is I came when it first opened and it still was nasty the food was burnt tried the broccoli and beef it was hard and salty spicy shrimp was more like pepper shrimp then when i told them I didn't eat anything and wanted my money back she said there was nothing wrong with the drink so I would have to pay for it and it would be five dollars really don't waste your money or time on this place it the worst food I've have in my life

Awesome buffet, plenty of choices, always hot, fresh food at a great price.

While none of the food was gross, it was not particularly satisfying. Burnt rice noodles and otherwise bland entrees. The best dish, surprisingly, was the green beans.

Friendly staff and good service, could use a bit more variety compared to other buffets.

I could live here, love the owners. Feels like seeing family every time I go. The food is so good. I try every new dish they have. Affordable and worth every penny.
