Had a great bike fitting at Bethel Cycle Works this weekend. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Will continue to work with them for my future cycling needs, even though I don't live nearby.

The guys are the shop got the issue fixed and now my bike is rolling smooth and quiet again. I appreciate that Giant covered the hub under warranty even though it's over a year old. Glad to be on the rode again.

Nice clean shop. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Brought my bike in to have a wheel fixed and they gave me a loaner wheel and a drink free of charge. I've been to other shops and have never been offered that kind of service. I'll definitely be goiny back

Ever walk into a place and be treated like you've been a customer for a lifetime? Here's your chance! These guys are great, took time and really helped me out big time so I could get back out on the trails.

I found myself stranded on the Brookfield,Bethel,Danbury after a flat and a failed inner tube replacement. I called Bethel Cycle Works in the hope they would be willing to do a road call. Even though it was Saturday and they were clearly busy, Kevin came out and fixed my bike. I am very grateful and delighted at the excellent service.

Thank you J.

I recently bought my first triathlon bike from Bethel Cycle Works and did my bike fit with Jason, who is the shop owner and bike fit extraordinaire. I couldn t have been happier with the process! I live in Brooklyn, so it s not exactly a "local" bike shop for me, but Jason has been extremely accommodating, driving me (and my bike) to/from a nearby train station, making the trip easier for me. And it s absolutely worth the trip! Jason is highly knowledgeable with regards to bio-mechanics, and has a ton of experience with bike fitting. He explained his rational for each adjustment he made to the bike, and he listened carefully to my feedback. I'm feeling really good on the bike thanks to the excellent fit, and now I can't wait for my first race this year!
I'm so happy I discovered Bethel Cycle Works. It is a very friendly bike shop that provides honest and quality service!

Was interested in Retul Bike fit and found Jason and Bethel Cycle which was excellent. Brought in my tri-bike and he immediately told me the proportions were off for any proper bike fit. Advised me to avoid doing bike fit with wrong bike, save your money and try to swap bikes. I did so via bicyclebluebook, brought in both my new-to-me P3 and my older R3 and he got them to fit me like a glove and also tuning them up. I made several visits each time tweaking and learning more from Jason who also offers coaching and ride ideas in the area. Bethel is a really a great find in the area and hope area riders support them during this difficult time.

Bought my first bike here. I had an amazing experience with the fitting and with all the knowledge that Jason possesses. You can ask about anything and he has an answer. Great atmosphere, great vibes. You feel welcomed as soon as you go in. I have no complaints!

I'm not a hard-core cyclist or mountain biker, but this place has "real deal" written all over it. Unassuming storefront, nothing flashy inside, just talented, cool people plying their craft at a very reasonable rate. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

I would send anybody over here!

I brought my Canyon Endurace to Bethel Cycle Works after my Di2 became misaligned and was causing unwelcome noise and chain slippage. Having brought my bike to several shops with unwelcome results, I lugged my ride to Bethel Cycle Works not expecting much.

I couldn't have been more wrong! The team took apart my bike and put it back together, and it rides better now than it did when I first purchased it. The reviews here are spot on these guys are perfectionists, and have found a new customer.

Kevin and his team at Bethel Cycle works hands down provided the best bike shop experience I've been to, and I've visited quite a few in the Fairfield area. It's worth the trip to Bethel to have him service your bike and give you advice on what he thinks your bike needs. Honest and hard working - never felt more confident about my bike. Made me feel like he actually cared about my safety and interest in the hobby - providing insight and the "why" you need something besides just saying you need it like other shops. Great communication and turn around time - especially in the middle of riding season when they are slammed. Highly recommended.

*For reference I brought a new-to-me mountain bike to him and got it tuned up and upgraded. Bike rides perfectly.

I went in twice about a tire issue and another visit for a tune-up within a period of 30 days. The tune-up went well with an email and call to pick-up. The tire issue was a disaster. The tire went flat after 1 ride, and I am not a serious rider. After the second visit on the tire issue, I was told my tire was replaced which was not correct and a bicycle spoke was causing my issue. My friend took my tire apart over the weekend. He ran the tube through a bucket of water and found the leak. In addition, he then located a metal pin which was poking my tube during my ride later causing the tire to go flat. The bicycle shop should have found this. When I sent an email asking for update on the repair, there was no response. In addition, there was no phone call telling me to pick-up my bike. I had to call to get an update. Finally the price for their tube replacement on their website did not match what I was charged. It was $10 higher, and when I questioned this, I was told the price advertised is for the part. Their advertise price for the tune-up matched what I was charged. I am confused to why the tire tube replacement price didn't include labor. I was from a positive experience on my first visit to extremely negative. I would recommend finding another bicycle shop for your repairs.

In response to the owner, they did not fix the issue on my second visit. The spoke wasn't the issue. I rode the bike one time and the next day the tire was flat again. This is when I had a friend come over and take the tire apart. There was a small pin in the tire poking the tube. In addition while I did take my frustration out by saying I was not coming back again, your employee told me I was not welcome back at your establishment.

These two guys, Jason and Dave, are two of the most knowledgeable people in the bicycling business. I have used six different shops over the years and no one comes close to their passion for cycling and concern for the customer. They fix my bike the first time and do it at minimum cost to me.

Just got a couple bikes delivered to my business for my kids and I will be honest, I never realized they sold regular bikes until recently, Received personal service from the owner Jason and his attention to detail is top-notch. Little known fact is they also donate bikes to help kids get to school in the local community. Highly recommend!

Recently, I had the pleasure of discovering Bethel Cycle Works as I was looking to purchase a new road bike. I had a specific bike in mind (Giant Defy Advanced 1 Pro), and also wanted to begin developing a long term relationship with a shop who's values paralleled mine. While I visited many Giant shops in CT, I knew immediately when I met Jason, that Bethel Cycle Works was not an ordinary bike shop. His passion for the sport, and commitment to customers was unique. I discovered quickly that Jason wasn't solely interested in selling me a bike, but also understanding my needs and customizing a solution that was personalized for me. While he had the exact bike I was interested in, he wasn't satisfied with adjusting the seat and sending me on my way. Jason spent 90 minutes fitting me, and making several adjustments to be sure the bike would allow me to perform and ride efficiently and comfortably. I should also note that I live more than 40miles from Bethel, and felt despite the distance, this was the right shop for me. His partner Dave shared a similar commitment to discover and create a happy customer. If you're lucky, you may even get to meet Molly who is also a great compliment to a great shop. Bravo to Jason and his team, and I look forward to a long relationship complimented by long rides!

Amazing. Bethel Cycle Works stands out from the crowd. So nice. So knowledgeable. Great customer service. They fixed some problems whose solutions had long evaded other shops. Plus, they found ways to do it while saving me money, rather than taking the easy way and replacing a bunch of stuff. They've gained a customer for life.

Not to mention that they still have bikes to sell when all other shops are having trouble (covid) getting supply. Nice work, BCW!

Great customer service.

Great customer service.

I arrived as Jason and Bridget (I think that is her name...) were locking the front door to close for the day. I told them I'd stop back later - all I needed to do was exchange a Christmas gift for something else.

Jason opened the store back up, and took his time and with detailed descriptions helped me decide which GPS unit was best for my needs. Bridget kept my 5yr-old son occupied throughout. All of this for little or no net revenue (it was an exchange).

This is what makes a local bike shop special.

Jason is a truly excellent bike fitter. My fitting session and the end product were clearly the best of my six or seven fits over the years. Bethel Cycle Works also has a great mix of bike brands and products, including a Giant frame which matched my fit numbers.

Virtually impossible to do business with. Don t waste your time. Wanted to repair one bike and buy 2 new ones. I was fully prepared to spend several thousand dollars today. They are open by appointment only and wasted my Saturday. Ridiculous practice and signs on door warning customers not to knock. I suspect they won t be in business much longer.

This is an awesome shop and Jason has been the most knowledgeable and helpful owner with whom I have ever had the opportunity to work in my 30 years of riding and racing. Jason and the shop's head mechanic, Dave, give excellent advice, they are 100% customer-focused and an asset to any bike rider at any level or age. Drop-in and see them before you make your next bike, gear, or apparel purchase.

Did loads of research for best bike fits in NY/CT area and found Jason. His knowledge is exceptional and use of the Retul system is unmatched. My coach from Boulder recommended the system as superior to Guru, others and to search it out which I've done. Jason immediately noted the sizing on my tri-bike was too large before even starting - I swapped out frames, returned 2 weeks later and he did a thorough job of tweaking and explaining. He's also been a big help in educating through the process. The store is clean and fresh and he and Bridget know their stuff when it comes to local events, bike tech and helpful hacks.

Your wedding day, the birth of your child, the day you pick up your bike from Bethel Cycle Works! Its been a week since I brought my bike to Bethel Cycle Works to get it assembled and it has been the best week of my life! I brought my bike in which was in pieces and gave them a box of lemons and these awesome guys were able to make me the sweetest lemonade! Picked it up the next evening ready to ride, thankfully they had all the random spare parts that I needed in order to get it built. Kevin was a life saver and made my birthday weekend the best ever by using his expert knowledge and sharing his advice. It was cool even seeing help another customer who was new to the area and give that person tips on nice places to ride in the area. If you're looking to purchase a bike or if you have one that needs to be tuned up and upgraded, this is the bike shop for you

I purchased a bicycle from Bethel Cycle Works this week. The experience could not have gone better. Due to this awful situation Cycle works had to adjust and did adjust to the current conditions in keeping myself and their staff safe and free of any contaminants. The buying experience was a pleasure. They took all the time needed with no pressure to myself or my wife in making the proper purchase for what we were looking for. I am so glad that we found them. I look forward to having their expertise available to myself for any future purchases. You do not have to hesitate if you are considering a bicycle look into Bethel Cycle Works. Well done staff.

First of all, take this coming from a person who admits... I often buy my parts from amazon and do things myself. However, I needed a set of brake pads for my mountain bike and was the shop was on my way. I stopped by, and boy... what a shop, I was immediately greeted by laughter and jokes as the shop owner was cleaning the floor as I foolishly walked in with dirty shoes. After my share of staring at all the beautiful bicycles, David Cooper and I got to talking, David was extremelyyyy helpful, understanding and went above and beyond in helping me, even throwing in a free return spring (he's the kind of mechanic who keeps those odd little parts that everyone looses) and a free beer ;). Ended up chatting with the guys for a half an hour and walked away with an education, a smile and exactly what I needed.

Shockingly great shop. Road or mountain, they have what you need. They had disc brake pads in stock, and quickly installed them - perfectly and fastidiously. Two terrific, customer centric partners. Wish we lived closer because I d have them do all of our work. Will save some needed repairs until we are back in the area.

Jason fit me for a road bike. He was recommended from my coach. The experience was honestly excellent and incredibly accommodating with respect to my crazy schedule. Jason was patient, and clearly demonstrated his extensive experience with fits - especially for tall athletes. The best part was the way that he sets expectations, proactively follows up and doesnt allow the 'technical' perspectives to interfere with the feel. He has all of the technical knowledge (and can communicate it), but purposely doesn't give you 20 things to think about which is key for a new fit (and my personality). Highly, highly recommended. I will be referring people if asked.

So I got a brand new bike and it turns out I completely assembled it wrong; my handlebars and gear shifters were on backwards. Also, I was using the quick release on my wheel horribly wrong. The staff helped teach me how to properly use my quick release, while waiting patiently for me, to get it right. He ended up taking time out of his busy day to flip my handlebars and gear shifters for me as well, so I could ride with my buddies that same day. I wish I could give an extra star as well! Definitely would recommend!

I'm so happy to have found Bethel Cycle!! When something broke on my bike I was so bummed, because I really didn't want to go back to the place in Ridgefield I'd been before (they were rude & condescending). But the guys at Bethel Cycle were so friendly, helpful & fair. I'd recommend it, without hesitation, to anyone!

Jason has created more than a place to go buy a bi...

Jason has created more than a place to go buy a bike or get your bike fixed this is a place to build community. You can stop in talk about bikes rides, family, and kid s, what s new in the community and everything in between and then get the best customer service you ever had in a bike shop. They stand by their work and their word and that goes a long way. Dave is the best in the business when it comes to fixing bikes and Jason the owner is the best there is. Jason recently convinced me to do a Bike fit and in my 40 s, although an avid bike rider, I always considered serious bike fits are for the serious racers, not someone approaching midlife. But I was proven wrong it s not only affordable but you would not believe the difference. Jason is a certified fitter using the latest technology analyzing every position you are on the bike from your feet, knees, hips, shoulders, hands, head and core. He listens to you as a rider takes your riding style and the kind of rides you do as part of the equation, as well as what makes you comfortable and what doesn t . He then adjust the bike for the individual making you and your bike one machine. After a complete fit Jason made many small adjustments that made a huge differences on the bike. After knee surgery and wrecked shoulder riding with any constant speed seemed to be a thing of the past for me but now I am riding pain free and as fast as I was 5 years ago. He didn t sell me the latest and the greatest we worked with what works for me what helps me and stayed with-in my tight budget. From the weekend casual rider to the serious racers I could not recommend Jason and the staff at Bethel Cycle Works enough. Trust me stop in and just say hi and make your own conclusion you will not be sorry.

Bethel Cycle Works was a humungous help to me! I have been planning to go on a 400 mile tour, and Bethel Cycle Works helped me get completely prepared for the trip. I actually bought a bike off facebook marketplace, but I brought it here and they completely decked me out and put me in good hands. They helped me find the gear I needed, made sure my bike was prepared for the trip, and gave me recommendations for future biking. Customer service is friendly, enthusiastic, and speedy. They also clearly are biking experts. Cost is more than reasonable. I had tried other bike shops in the area, but this is by far the best. Will be my bike shop from now on. Highly recommend if you live in Fairfield County or are passing through.
