Awful customer service. Did an online pre-booking days in advance for pick up from Heathrow. Driver didn't even turn up and when we called to ask about this we were told we would have to wait an hour for the taxi to come. No apology given at all even though this had been pre arranged. Just thankful we in advance. Don't bother with them.

The driver that picked me and my toddler daughter ...

The driver that picked me and my toddler daughter this morning was rude and obnoxious. As my daughter was climbing into his vehicle, the first thing he said her was she was not to climb into the car with her shoes on the car seat, and as he was saying this he was pointing at her shoes. His reason for such obnoxious behaviour was that it was a new car. I asked him why he would speak to a two year old like that, he then said that he was not speaking to her but to me. To cut a long story short - he ended up dropping us where he picked us up from. My honest advice to people with kids is thus - do not use this service if you have young children. They are not young children friendly. A word is enough for the wise!!

Very surprised at some of the comments here. Have been taking them for about 3 or 4 months now to the airport and they're always on time especially the wee hours of the morning. Most of the cab drivers are great with cars in good condition. And their prices are very competitive (and cheaper than Uber to the airport). The only knock is the extremely high surcharge if paying by credit card. I know there are charges but we're moving to a cashless society so there should not be that much of a gap. Would highly recommend.

We have used Cannon Cars for the first time for an Airport run to Gatwick and a return trip. I had to write a review as the service we received both ways was excellent and on time. We have returned after a 12 hour journey our plane being delayed by two hours and arriving back in the early hours of the morning. It was very pleasant to be met at the airport by our driver Mark from Hayes with a beaming smile who was very courteous and obliging.
We would highly recommend this Company and will be using them again in the future.

Regular customer, but first time using the app after recent download following driver suggestion. Love the app! Watching the car coming to pick me up today I managed to stay dry and great idea of showing the registration and other car details, nice safety feature. Helpful driver too. Good job, well done to Cannon Cars.

Cannon cars are great - drivers are friendly and always on time, great prices which are sometimes even cheaper than uber and they even emailed me a receipt when I forgot to take it from the driver. Highly recommended!

Driver was 15 minutes late and didn't know the way...

Driver was 15 minutes late and didn't know the way so had to stop whilst he Googled it, as a result I missed my train. What's the point in booking with these local cab firms when they can't stick to the bookings and don't even know the local roads? Uber is cheaper so I guess I'll just use that next time.

Thanks for eventually responding. What specifics do you need that I haven't already given? I actually called and logged a complaint on the day it happened (the day of my review) and your call staff said they would pass it to the manager. Why haven't you responded to that? I will email you and repeat the details.

I booked a taxi a week ago with Cannon Cars for pick up from Luton Airport at 5 pm on 27th October.

I called again on the day from the departure airport at 11:22 am UK time and the lady confirmed the booking and all was good for 5 pm pick up.

We boarded our flight and landed at Luton on time at 5 pm. Waiting in baggage claim I picked up a voicemail from Cannon Cars (left at 13:45) telling me that they had checked my flight and it was due to land at 21:45 and they changed the booking pickup. My flight was actually on time and I couldn t challenge this as we were airborne at the time with my phone in flight mode.

I called them and they insisted that a website told them our flight was due at 21:45. They said they could send a car but it would take 2 hours from Bromley to arrive at Luton. Of course I declined and my family used the Thameslink train service to get home.

I did some investigation today and found the same flight number departs and lands at different times each day. On 27th October, my date of travel, it arrived 17:00. On 28th October, the following day, it arrives at 21:45.

I won t be using Cannon Cars again as they can t be relied on when it matters.

Called for pick-up from hospital and waited at agreed pick up point. Driver didn't bother trying to find us or ask for us by name. When finally a text came through and we located the driver he was extremely rude and impatient, as if we were meant to psychically know he was there, and treated us like dirt all of the way home. Screamed at us when we tried to tell him where to park (outside of the direct address we gave him). Only developed manners at the possibility of a tip when it came to payment time. Will never use this firm again.

Booked a cab last night for 12:15 today, said it would have to be midday, so accepted the time. Phoned at 12:25 because the cab hadn't arrived. Finally turned up at 12:50. My wife was 15 minutes late for work, and had never been late for work in the 15 years she had worked there. I called cannon, they took no responsibility because there drivers are 'self employed' total joke. And still charged her full fair!!!!

The cab was from 59c sunningvsle avenue tn16 3by to Shirley oaks hospital.

We will most definitely not be using cannon cars going forward and will not recommend to anyone else. To take no responsibility for lateness due to their drivers being self employed is totally disgusting and dismissive!!

Disaster don t use! Booked cannon cars for a 4:30am pick up. I live in a main street in Beckenham, yet the driver needed two phone calls to find us. Driver seemed at best very confused, if not drunk! Driving to Gatwick Airport was a nightmare as he hogged the outside lane, but never went over 50mph prompting numerous cars to overtake on inside lane. The operator who took the call seemed very nice, however the driver was a complete nightmare - worst taxi experience ever!

Called to make a booking and told it will be here in 25 mins, 30 mins later i called and got nothing but attitude, then i waited 20 more minutes, ridiculous, so i called to cancel and told 'you left it a bit late'.
Well, maybe if the cab didnt leave it so late I wouldnt have.

As a regular user of Cannon cars from London to Orpington.Suddenly they want upfront payments! Ok we will do that no problem.Then this is not good enough they want upfront payments but only on by card. Ok we said ,only to realise they now want an extra 10% on top too. Now we always give our drivers at least 10% of the price for a tip,so this now becomes a 20% increase on our fare.I am absolutely disgusted.We went over to the no hassle Speedy Cars of Orpington.Great for a while now they too want to take the p... by card payments with excess charge of 10%! They wont allow me to go all the way into Orpington to pay by cash either ,just so they can force me to use the card they can charge me a further 10% on .Sorry but thats your drivers tip you have just taken off me.People make a stand and stop these taxi firms squeezing all they can from you .I don't drink and drive and don't do night busses and trains stop running at silly o clock.Taxi firm bosses stop taking the p... NOW ! Let me come into your taxi firm and pay good old fashioned cash upfront and your drivers keep the 10% tip !

Unreliable, just that. They have been 20 minutes late and left a person waiting in Gatwick without even notifying them. When you ring the call center they just give you standard he ll be there in 5 minutes but it s never true.
I was stupid enough to book them again to go to the airport and they were late again!! Despite I rang them beforehead and was assured this would not happen. The driver also complained about the road surface as if it was me who is responcible for it. Anyway, if you service the area you should now your roads and avenues, right?
Additional surcharge when paying by card does not make it any more attractive either.
It s 2018, come on, how can you be so last century?!

I use most mornings to work. Very reasonable fares, polite & friendly drivers. Have only had one bad experience with them, as they over booked & my taxi never turned up HOWEVER once I called & complained, the manager called me back quickly and was very apologetic and understanding. The app is really easy to use & I always trust cannon cars for a safe journey.

You saved my life, Thank you. Left my phone in the cab after a bit of a boozy night. Once I had actually tracked down where I left it, the Orpington office helped me to reach the guy and he even brought it back to me. I gave him a nice drink, but worth it. How did we survive before mobile phones?

Thought I needed to address the negative reviews here as I have just used Cannon Cars to get to Gatwick and was very satisfied with the experience. I pre-booked about a week ahead and received a competitive price. Driver arrived early and was able to navigate some roadworks and the tail end of rush hour to get to the airport promptly. Paid in cash.

Excellent Service. I needed cabs to and from hospital when the GP suspected I'd fractured my ankle. I pre-booked a cab the day before. The driver on the way there turned up slightly early, which was reassuring and was helpful and friendly. On the way back I rang for a cab and one turned up within 5 minutes and took me safely home. Thank-you Cannon Cars (Oh and by the way my ankle wasn't broken after all :)

Unbelievable lack of service. I'm not from England and booked a taxi online for pickup today at the weekend. Got email confirmation and reference. Great! A couple of hours before pickup thought I'd phone to check all in order. Was told they didn't pick up from that area of London. Didn't matter that I'd been emailed. A mistake (!) Wasn't able to help me find an alternative company. Disgraceful behaviour. Unhelpful and I would have been left stranded and missed my plane. Would give no stars if possible

I always try hard to support local businesses and luckily Cannon Cars make it easy to do so. Their drivers are friendly and helpful and also knowledgeable about routes. Every driver I have had has been wearing a mask and their cars are clean making me feel safe. I use their app and can track the driver and also find out the exact price of the journey beforehand. This is great as their are no sudden surprises re the bill as they charge on mileage and not time. Will defo continue to use so thank you Cannon Cars!

Late to my fathers funeral because of Cannon Cars:
I was supposed to be following the hearse to my father's funeral, but instead I turned up late because of Cannon Cars. I had prebooked 3 days in advance, also called 30 minutes before the journey to confirm, however the taxi still turned up 20 minutes late.
No empathy whatsoever, no apology, no explanation. Shocked at the terrible level of service. Added stress to a day that was already highly emotional.

We had a reservation at the Ritz Piccadilly for lunch at 1.00pm on Monday 24thOctober.
I allowed 1 1/2 hrs to ensure we got there on time, after a call @ 12.45 the car arrived @ 12.50.
The driver asked if we knew the way, we thought he was joking but he wasn't relied on a sat nav that took us all round the houses eventually at 1.10 I looked on my iPhone for directions & we payed & got out & walked eventually arriving at 1.20..
Pick up wasn't much better the driver phoned to say he was at the Piccadilly end of Jermyn street which was a good ten minutes walk from the Hotel, when we got to him he again was relying on a Satnav & thought we were at an arcade just down the road! He did apologies & to be fair did know an good route home which even taking into account our ten minute walk took less than an hour.
I have emailed to complain making the point that surely any cab firm around London should ensure their drivers had a basic knowledge of significant London hotels & not rely totally on Satnav, but to date have not even had the courtesy of a reply.
So after many years with Cannon cars as this isn't the only time we haven't had good service this year I will be looking elsewhere in future

Collected by Kamil. Who was the smartest dressed driver we have ever seen. He was totally professional, curtious and well mannered. We have booked our return journey pick up from Gatwick to Beckenham too. We hope we get Kamil again.

I have used Cannon Cars very regularly since moving to Bromley and have found them an excellent cab company. The drivers have been unfailingly polite and friendly, the cars have nearly always arrived on time and the prices are more than reasonable. Their own smartphone app makes ordering a cab extremely simple and it lets you know the progress of the cars journey to you which is invaluable in bad weather. They have rarely let me down bar a couple of times when they were just too busy and I can appreciate why as they are a decent quality cab service and would be in demand

Prebooked taxi arrived 40 minutes late for a Gatwick airport journey. No call to update and when I called several times I kept being told it was 5 or 10 minutes away. If I'd know it would be so late I would have made other arrangements. Lots of stress. Sad because the driver was a nice guy. What a disorganised company with poor communication. Avoid.

We prebooked a car a two days in advance for a wedding we were attending. We asked for the car to arrive at 12:50, however the driver didn t arrive. We called 2 times, the first time we called they told us no drivers were available so we d have to wait...(really- for a service that was booked TWO DAYS IN ADVANCE????) Then we called again and the woman said the driver will be another 15 minutes! We could not wait because we would be late to the ceremony so we ended up driving ourselves. We told the lady on the phone to cancel the cab. Then our ring doorbell goes off showing that the driver had just arrived at 13:23... 33 minuets after our booked slot... and the firm didn't even let the driver know we had canceled. Absolutely ridiculous service. Do not book with them if you hope to get anywhere on time. What a joke cannon cars- will never use again.

Always polite and on time and really nice to use a company with nice cars, some cab firms cars are old and filthy where these all seem to be quite new and always clean.

We have used Cannon twice now for drop off and pick up at LHR from W Wickham. Drivers courteous and smartly dressed, verhicles in excellent condition and I am proposing to use them again on my return to UK this Saturday. I have no complaints and highly recommend them. For the record I do not work for or have any association with Cannon Cars other than being a highly satisfied customer.

I insist that my teenage daughter uses them to get home, the drivers are mostly older, family men, who treat my daughter and her friends just like their own. I always know she is safe when she has a cannon car booked.

Have been using regularly for the last 6 months and most of the time all is well however there is something I would like to mention, I have 2 special needs sons and the youngest is often with me and some of your drivers don't seem to be able to cope with the fact that he talks and repeats himself a lot of the time and I get tutted at and dirty looks, to be honest this doesn't bother me but I feel a company such as yours should be more open to the clients you pick up, my son is the funniest most polite boy but can talk for England. This is the only negative I have come across had a few other blips but that I can cope with. In this day and age I shouldn't feel it's necessary to apologise for my son.

My grandmother had a cab booked, rang up on the day to amend the time of collection and had everything confirmed to her. 20 minutes after they were due to arrive, with no contact whatsoever, she had to call another company for a pick up asap, to avoid missing the surprise party she was meant to be attending. Will not use again.

The best cab drivers around. Lovely, helpful, caring drivers who go out of their way to help older customers, and who are always courteous, arrive in clean cars and are extremely professional. The admin staff are really helpful too. Would definitely recommend to others and intend to be using a lot more in future as I can be assured of a stress free travelling experience.

Surprised at some reviews on here - always had excellent service from Cannons and have used for 10yrs plus with lots of travel. Yes they are busy at times on the weekend but so is every firm. Always on time, App works well and fares are reasonable. Would recommend !

Booked for school run every morning. Always turned up late, didn't even has the curtesy informed me in advanced. When I called this morning , first told me will be 10 minutes late, then called again, was told no cab for 30 minutes. I always used them for airport drop off or pick up, and this is the way they deal with their regular customer. One star is too good for them. Changed to another cab company. Well done Cannon, you have managed to drive away another customer.

Rang office and was told 5 minutes 15 minutes later no driver, nothing showing on app, rang office to be told driver just booked off and driver be there in 3 minutes but app said 10 minutes, controller says 'yeah that's right' just tell the truth and stop wasting my time!!! Cancelled!!!

Best Cab service in the area, I booked online and unlike other firms I've used, they arrived a couple of minutes before allocated time and were extremely friendly - talking about Christmas etc - Many thanks for my driver and for getting me to train station on time. Not usually one for reviewing but you went above and beyond, signed, a new and happy customer.

A joke of a company! I booked one evening to have a taxi next morning, the lady on the phone booked it for me and the following day no car turned up. I called the office again and a guy said that nothing was on their system and it was never booked, I assured him that I booked it via a colleague, then he hung up! 10 minutes later, after I left with my car, the taxi was in front of my house, of course too late! Never again, it can really mess up catching flights and trains!

Will never use this service again:
Asked if car was avaliable immediately, was told yes.
Waited 9 mins, phoned again, was I had waited 6 mins and the car was on its way.
Waited over 20 mins in total (am 5 min drive from office), had chosen not to wait 17 mins for an uber - mistake
Told driver I was late (my fault), he stopped to work out where I was going, took a very long route, did two u-turns
Could not accept card payment so had to take a detour to a cashpoint.
In future, I wil always take an uber:
Know exactly how far away they are;
Always have route prepared;
Automatic payment

Due to putting in a wrong date the car was late which meant I missed my train. The next two were delayed. Because of Cannings mistake I will get home 1 1/2 hours later than I should. I won't use them again. I will go to Uber

Excellent service,used a few times over past several years for airport runs in MPV, driver Terry is fabulous.Really recommend as reliable and great service.I would'nt use any other company now,you may find cheaper but these guys are the best for reliability and service and quick response.

Twice now I've called up and booked, and the taxi ...

Twice now I've called up and booked, and the taxi hasn't arrived. After waiting a bit longer I have called up - and the guy tells me they have no record of me making a booking.

Both times I've gone back and called them from my recently dialled numbers, couldn't have been anywhere else that I called! When booking today the guy even said the taxi will call when he's at the gate and took my mobile number too - but no record apparently.

This company used to be spot on and great to customers, however those standards seem to have slipped, waiting times seem longer and things like this. All round bad service!

No more Cannons for me!

Unreliable service!
In 2 occasions I had a bad experience with this company.


The second time I have booked a cab to pick up somebody at stansted and they have also requested a flight number but booked the cab 2hrs later than I asked them. My guests were left at the airport and my husband had to drive all the way to stansted in the evening to pick them up.
Do not rely on this company

Been travelling for work / pleasure for nearly 10 yrs. This is the best Cab company I came across. I have been using them for past 4-5 years. The cars are always clean, drivers always on time, very friendly people. This was the first cab company that made me realise you don't have to 'bear' the journey after a long flight with stinky cabs / rude drivers / late pickups. It takes a lot to write a review for a cab company I guess. They have earnt my loyalty for sure.

Really impressed with Maxim the driver from Cannon cars, turned up straight away, car was very clean and undamaged, drove well.
Very nice journey home from a long night at the hospital. Will definitely recommend

We use cannon cars if our patients at the dental surgery need a cab, the drivers have always been on time and very polite.
We have had no complaints from our patients about them.
I used them personally last night and a week ago, the drivers were very nice,not intimidating at all.
They arrived on time and text me when they were out side.

The cost of the fare that the operator gave me over the phone was the price that the drivers gave me..
All of the operators that i have spoken to at cannon cars over the years for our patients have been very nice, the same for last night.

Unlike some local cabs i have used in the past these cabs were very clean and did not smell of smoke and neither did the drivers.
I highly recommend using this cab company.

I must say that I'm impressed, first time using this company (Bromley branch) and wasn't sure what to expect. Was quite worried maybe the driver wouldn't turn up or be late but our driver came perfectly on time and was very kind, helpful with luggages and clear to understand. Booked this car for my family to the airport, with 3 kids, driver was super friendly. Would use again when traveling. The receptionist lady on the phone was also very kind and easy to talk to. Questions and queries answered fastly. Thanks!
