I went there when I was younger so it may have changed but the teachers were a bit rude and there was a bug problem

Fantastic dance studio overall. Great accommodation. I always feel welcomed. Very friendly staff and a great facility. Couldn't have chosen a better studio for my daughter.

Behavior of instructor and studio owner, Cathy, is awful and the environment is unhealthy.

Cathy is the worst woman alive, she has no right to be rude and mean to Abby like just admit that you cant teach your own daughter how to dance and you do t know who to produce famous dancers like abby can and also in season 1, your daughter wasnt even close to being as good Like maddie, chloe, brook, paige Nia or mackenzie....

I found two rats swinging from vines inside her studio. It s very stinky and unorganized I wouldn t recommend even walking through the door because EVERYTHING smells like some ran through the store with a Glade apple scented air freshener and lemme tel ya. It doesn t smell good!!!

When I went to call to enroll my daughter they immediately say go on this is the same number u have callled over and over again and this was the first time I called so then I immediately hung up the phone I was so mad they Have a lack of respect for there callers

I have watched dance moms and she is not a team player and the kids at her studio are really bad dancers

I don t go there but I know that she just wants to be Abby and she doesn t and will never have the team that Abby did no matter how long she try s. ALDC forever!!!!!!!!

my child went their to learn how to get better at the craft and art of dance but as soon as we walked in it was moldy and bugs were everywhere

Disgusting pathetic woman. Has no class and is a disgrace as an example of a dance teacher. This place should just give up. And start taking class on etiquette. ALDC IS THE BEST. HANDS DOWN!!! And I'm not judging on the show. I have family members that have personal experience with this place and the things I hear are just awful.

To those of you children trying to write a review just because you watch Dance Mom's and want to drive her rating down, you should just move on. Cathy can put in requests to have all negative reviews removed, so your little tricks won't work..
(No I have not been here, no I haven't met her, just don't agree with kids trying to drive down a businesses rating just because they watch a TV show)

My 2 girls have danced with Candy Apple's for almost 13 years. The experiences and training over the years has been wonderful. The staff is amazing and so caring. From recitals to outings to dancing for First Fridays, we have loved it all. The girls have learned so much beyond just great technique, they have acquired skills and knowledge for the real world that will take them throughout life.

as a business owner i see this business as unprofessional, unethical and s total joke. i wish this company nothing but the best

Cathy insults other dancers as well as her own to make herself feel better this woman is the evilest person to ever exist I cannot believe she treats people like that

do not listen to these reviews. people are angry about a show, dance moms, the owner of the studio was on. the owner of the studio and was commonly in frights. what the reviewers dont realize is that the show was fake. everyone on dance moms admitted to many of the fights, dance comps, and other things were FAKE.

For anyone truly considering joining this studio, PLEASE do not take many of these reviews seriously. Most of them are written by CHILDREN who are only reviewing based on what they saw on a TV SHOW (forgive them, they are young and don't understand that it's not real)

My girls grew up here! You are all rating this due to the show. Get a grip you think reality shows are reality....lol get a life! I have been associated with this studio since the beginning and none of your negative reviews are legit! I have been around for over 30 yrs and it is a great atmosphere with great caring teachers. You shouldn't write about things you know nothing about!!

If you are actually considering enrolling your child in this studio, don't believe any of the reviews here. On a TV show, this plays the rival dance studio and kids come here to leave fake reviews and slander them. Unfortunately, there's no way to verify if you actually went here.

I don't understand why the comments section is full of hate. I bet most of the hate comments are from people who watch too much dance moms and they clearly can't realize not everything in dance moms are real. Most you never even been to the studio and tried for yourself. Don't judge its books by its cover!That is why I'm giving a 5 stars out of 5 since it should be more loved

I hated it when Candy Apples stole Abby Lee's Dance Company's Queen of Hearts solo. Kendall is a great dancer and all but Chloe really showed the story better than Kendall.

Kathy is a Rude & talentless "Dance Teacher" that has to buy students
to compete for her and then has to
hire in choreographers to even have a small chance of winning. She puts little kids down and makes fun of the way they look.. we have a huge bullying and suicide epedemic and she is playing a huge part in the bullying

If I could give her a 0 I would. She is a terrible role model for all dancers and even her own daughter. Who in their right mind would take their child to her except to get TV exposure. I know there are better dance instructors out there. Maybe she should be under investigation for child abuse. Even as bad as Abby Lee Miller is to her kids, this lady is worse. She promotes BULLYING which is one of the worse epidemics happening in our nation. I don't think that she should even be a part of the Dance Mom's show.

For my cathy she is a very good instructor. I would love to dance in this studio. What I don't like are the opinions that the majority published. First of all: cathy and abby are friends outside the series, the rivalry was invented for dance moms. Second: I would also like to dance in the ALDC but I am sure that nobody is so masochistic to endure the humiliations with which abby teaches. Third: abby always beats cathy because DANCE MOMS COMPETITIONS ARE FALSE OR EDITED. Think before you comment. Maybe abby teaches the technique better, but you don't have to yell at them too much.

Just cleaning up the fake reviews on here. I live in Ohio, and I have some friends who go to Candy Apples Dance Center, and they have nothing but POSITIVE things to say about it. Truly an amazing studio! The drama on the show is totally fake, and Cathy is actually pretty decent in real life. Definitely recommend this studio.

Cathy is rude and immature. She kept on trying to get back from Abby and she needed to move on and stop embarrassing herself cause she always loses when she does that. And Cathy steals choreography and doesn t even give the choreographer credit for it. She can t even choreograph good dances herself so she has to get other choreographers to do it for her.

Former dancer from here. The studio was always clean, and the staff and students were always kind. Was an okay studio to go to after I was healing from when I tore my ACL. Classes were reasonably priced.

She does not win she is rude and she rats so if you want to dance go to aldc yes abby can be mean but you well win and do not have to do with rats

When I went to chathys studio she was so rude and her studio was so gross when coming in to do my routine I saw 3 rats aunning around the hallway. She also yelled at me for having a cut on my knee because she made me do crazy and dangerous choreography, she also does not do her own work she makes her students do paper work.she is so fake, for a roll I have to dance she cut my hair herself with of my permission

I actually know somebody who is Dancette candy apples they said they didn't like it there and that Kathy was really mean behind the camera almost like Abby so obviously I have to support my BFF and say that candy apples is not a good dance company please don't send your children then she does favoritism especially to her daughter Vivi so I definitely would not recommend you sending out a child here I would totally give it zero stars if that was an option
