"Always, Patsy Cline" Charlotte Campbell as Patsy!...

"Always, Patsy Cline" Charlotte Campbell as Patsy!!! This woman did a phenomenal performance!!! Her mannerism and how she looked so much like Patsy, right down to facial expressions. She nailed this far above and beyond any expectations I had. Now, I was born 8 years after Patsy's death, so I'm comparing this actresses portrayal to clips, videos, and records I've seen of Patsy, and no one could ever come as close in so many ways!!! Standing Ovation Miss Campbell!!!! I wish I could have met you, hell I would've risked catchin COVID to do so, but wouldn't want to put you at risk.
Now, I have no idea how Louise was in real life, I only knew of her by what I have read. However, there is no doubt in my mind that Jalyn Courtenay Webb played a close if not identical Louise!! One could definitely see how Patsy would love to be around and confide in such an amazingly beautiful soul. I told my daughter, who treated me to this show my very 1st night in Colorado, we all need a Louise in our life. Regardless of volume, lol. Loving her most!!
Ladies, you are well worth the 1500+miles I traveled, lol. And I will plan future visits with my daughter along with either of these ladies in whatever show they may be doing!! Thank you so much for an emotionally unforgettable evening!!! Brava!! BRAVA!!!
Oh and the Candlelight Dinner Theater's Salted Carmel Bacon Bread Pudding Dessert is highly recommended!!

When you think Johnstown, CO, you certainly don't think about musical theater. But you should! Every experience I've had at the Candlelight has been incredible. The actors in the shows are so talented. The sets are top notch. I go to the Buell in Denver occasionally and I enjoy these shows just as much. Except with these shows, I get to eat too which is a definite bonus. And unlike a lot of dinner theatres with their TV dinner type meals, the food here is actually really good! Especially the desserts. Highly recommend especially for a nice night with your significant other.

Watched Hello Dolly.

Watched Hello Dolly.
Singing and dancing were top notch!
We were served by three different people which is normal, all three were incredibly charming.
Shockingly the meal was pretty great, we'd go back just for the meal if they offered it.

Would we return? Absolutely!!

Really enjoyed my experience here! Love that you dine in the same place you watch the show, which was very well done! The level of talent was excellent, but the food didn't match that. The entrees were mediocre, but I did take into consideration they're serving 100+ people all at once. I'd definitely go back and make (another) night of it with a group of friends! I highly recommend checking it out!! "Nunsense" was great with a lot of humor, but I don't think it matters what show is running - it'll be worth it!

Always have a great time and great people. However, the last few years is always geared to kids. Need some more musicals like when you did West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, Damn Yankees. Would like to see more modern shows like Beautiful or Cabaret etc. We use to go at least twice a year but have not been since West Side Story.

Had a great time seeing Tarzan! It was our first time attending and my son and I had a lovely night and enjoyed both of our dinners. We chose from the dinners from the dinners that came with our tickets, instead of upgrading. The soup was amazing and the XO coffee was a nice add on.

Inwas pleasantmy surprised by the production and stage set up, as well as costumes! My son said as we left "I would definitely come back"! Which is saying a lot for a 10 year old!

Looking forward to our next visit!

Had a great evening with my daughter and her friend here. Food was great, the service was great, the show was great. Definitely will come again. Wish we lived closer so it wasn't such a long drive but definitely worth it. Spent the whole ride singing songs and visiting with the girls since they never stop talking. LOL

The Saturday matinee of "Oliver!" was terrific: service, food, beverages, atmosphere and performance. Dining highlights: Candlelight Kiss cocktail, Coconut Shrimp Chowder, Stuffed Portobello Mushroom, and Hot Fudge Cheesecake. Performance highlights: young Eli who played Oliver, David W as Bill Sykes, the opera-capable fellow who played Mr. Bumble, and the woman who played Nancy. [Forgot to bring home a program -- apologies for not getting all names!]

Really enjoy this playhouse, Food I think is Great, service is Great but last March was disappointed with the play. Saw 'Forever Plaid' and the Harmonies were not there. I had looked forward for almost a year because I love that era of music, but they really missed it. But still had a very nice day.

Food was horrible, showed up when they told us to and sat around for an hour and a half waiting for a play to start which had talent as poor as my high school talent show. And they charge you $60 per ticket PLUS an insane upgrade fee for anything you order? What a rip off. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. 0 stars. Horrible place

I've experienced 4 shows now over the last few years and have been impressed each time.

Amazing casting, wonderful acting and singing... just overall a consistently talented crew!

Delicious food, too! I love that they try to cater the menu to fit the location of the play, as much as possible.

Fun date night, fun family night, great for all ages (play depending) - worth every penny.

<3 support the arts!

My wife and I had a great time. The wait staff also performs the show and are very good at both. The production is well done and the stage settings are original and professionally constructed. We really enjoyed our dinner and performance and would recommend it as a good date night.

We have attended several shows over the last 5 years. The shows are always very well done. Service from the whole staff, including the actors is awesome. However, the food is terrible. You can tell everything is prepared well in advance. (I understand they feed the entire theater at once, but there are better ways to do it). I hate to write a negative review when everything else they do is so great, but I had hoped that the food would get better as they became more established. They have limited resources in the kitchen, (Get a fryer. Also, Instant mashed potatoes will never pass as the real thing). And all the food except for the dessert is extremely bland. (Dessert is from a box). They try hard to make it an over the top dining experience, but they would do better by just warming up processed meals from the Sysco truck than what they are currently serving.

Attended EVITA last night and have to say it was a huge disappointment - our party of 4 left at intermission. I've seen better high school productions. Sorry to report that quality of music, singing, choreography and sound was terrible. I will not be a repeat customer and am sorry to have to say that. If I could have left all the stars above blank, I would have done so.

The service was delightful, as was the entertainment. Some of the food was exceptionally delicious, while other items were just tasty, but not anything to go back for. The kid's menu was basic that kids would find at home; in no way fancy or different. Servers are members of the cast. You will want to add additional funds in for tips, drinks, desserts, and upgraded entrees.

This was my first time at Candlelight Dinner Playhouse. Ladies night out with friends and we were seated at a table with three other women. What a fun time we all had together! The show was Newsies. Excellent character performances and singing voices. We met a few of the actors as they were also our wait staff. Some of the performers are students or grads from UNC. Very talented! I enjoyed my dinner of salad, tender slow-roasted beef with gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans plus a dessert of pomegranate sorbet. Servings were generous; service and food were excellent. I plan to return. Season tickets are a good value for for the investment. The location is easy to get to just off I-25. I do advise arriving on time for the best experience. They have a nice website for more information.
