Good show with inspiring actors and actresses that not only perform but also serve you your meal.

Show was entertaining, but the food and drinks were poor quality. I'd recommend that you eat before arriving (even tho the meal is included in the price).

The shows here are always top notch! They do a great job of recruiting talented individuals who not only excel at entertainment, but also offer fabulous service. The only reason I rate it 4 stars and not five is that I find the food underwhelming. Certainly not bad, and they always have creative twists in the menu that tie in to the show, but the food itself is the least spectacular aspect of this dinner theatre experience.
I look forward to seeing many more shows put on by Midtown.

Service was ok and food was very good.

I do think $60 for a chicken dinner and a play is a little bit much though, especially for a matinee. Desserts, drinks and an appetizers were not included. This would be a much better value if everything were included for your money. Steak and other food upgrades were extra.

The food was brought out in a timely manner and was pretty good considering they had to have most of it done to service the couple hundred people that are ordering all at once. It is a comfortable dining atmosphere where you turn your chairs to watch the play after you were done eating. At intermission dessert is served at a rapid pace and gives you plenty of time to chat with anybody you were with and eat your dessert comfortably.

If you were looking for a fun first date or something to just park the night I would recommend this, but it is kind of expensive for the value.

People are very sociable and super nice! Cast lines up after the show for pictures and talk. The food is pretty good and there are a few options for entrees. Food allergies are helped and clearly labled. The waitors are flexible and check in continually. The shows are all wonderful! I love this place whether it's a date night or family fun I think you will too!

try it

I highly recommend Midtown Arts Center if you're looking for a great dinner theater experience. I bought season tickets for the first time over a year ago and have been impressed by the food and the performances, particularly Spamalot, Sweeney Todd, and Miss Saigon. I joined MAC after Les Miserables ran and I have been told by several of my more well-traveled friends that it was the best live version of that play they've seen. MAC manages to attract a surprising amount of talent into its casts considering that Fort Collins is not a major metropolitan area. I've yet to see a show I didn't enjoy.

I figured that the Sweeney Todd show would generate some complaints - the actor/servers deliberately doled out rude (but funny) service to match the ambiance of the performance. If you didn't take it personally, the salty waiters were actually very enjoyable. I understand that that was an experiment and probably not everybody's cup of tea. And that's fine, but I wouldn't let it reflect poorly on MAC as a whole. Most of the shows are more traditional and every once in a while when they decide to take us audience members out of our comfort zones, that's fun too. As for the sales pitches - not much you can do about that. Converting first timers to season ticket holders is how dinner theaters stay in business and attract a higher caliber of actors. Compared to the 20+ minutes of ads and previews I routinely have to sit through whenever I go to the AMC movie theaters, MAC's sales pitches really aren't that bad.

Our first time at Midtown Arts Center and we found the service was excellent, the food great, the show was absolutely wonderful. We had to travel a distance to see this show, this one, by far a great production of Grease. We certainly will be returning to Midtown Arts Center.

Great experience with dinner and a show, servers were beyond helpful and friendly, making the experience very personal. 4 starts because of the cost. There were additional costs for everything even though I had already paid $54 per seat/dinner. I had to pay extra to get a vegetarian meal which I felt was unnecessary due to the high cost of the original ticket. Appetizers, desserts and drinks cost extra. Be prepared to spend more money than expected. I probably won't go back only because of the money. If you have the money to spend then the experience was really great and the food was high quality.

The center is nice but the current show, Fun Town, is not as described. It's a gay/lesbian show, which is fine, but they need to be brave enough to describe it as it is, not as a southern fun family musical. The food was good if you pay for the upgrade s but it definitely adds up to double the price of the tickets very quickly when you add on beverages and desserts. Wait staff is pleasant but some people went without because they ran out of the food they had ordered and even the alternate food.

My wife and I have been season ticket holders ever since Spelling Bee. Only one show we didn't care for that entire time. Just got home from Rock of Ages. Awesome Fun. Sweeney Todd was a great and different experience. We've taken our kids to a few shows and they've enjoyed it. Don't understand any of the negative reviews. Cast and staff do a great job providing great entertainment.

Great theatre ...and the food is pretty good, too (especially the desserts)! No rubber chicken here, and there are even vegetarian options. The theatre production was well done including the sets and transitions. Well worth a return visit!

My husband and I went to Midtown Arts Center to see Always Patsy Cline. It was wonderful. The food was great. The service exceptional. The performance was above and beyond. This was our first time at Midtown and we are going to buy season tickets. We left with a great memory.

The play, Ragtime, was great! The staff, wonderful! Five stars for that. Though my wife loved her filet, the veggies where over cooked. My pesto cream penne had more of a butter sauce then a cream sauce but had very good flavor. It was with cherry tomatoes and chicken,,, to bad I got only one tomato. I give the food three stars over all. Good evening in all. I will return.

This place puts on a great show. It's a decent sized theater, not to big, not too small. They really cram a bunch of people in there though. That's the only downside to me is that the tables and everything are really close together and it's kind of difficult to maneuver. I could see it being a big problem if a patron had mobility problems and needed a walker for assistance. Anyway, the shows are amazing (truly very well done) and the food is pretty good too. It's not cheap, but it does feel like you get pretty good value for your money.

Generally has quality and enjoyable shows. Food is decent but they show little love to vegetarians. I have been to many performances there and have eaten a variation of the same thing every time.

The Owner and Staff are incredible...we love being season ticket holders! Highly recommend you get season tickets, as that is the best deal if you can afford the cost up front. We always look forward to the next show!

As an actress who had worked with midtown as well as taken their classes and who has also talked to a lot of the theatre community in FoCo, I'm fairly dissatisfied. Most all of the girls are mean, and the staff often do not help the young girls who are talked down to. I've heard plenty of awful stories and have experienced some mean behavior, especially in the workshops/classes (Non-audition to perform shows). Looking into the show from the outside, it may seem great, but there is a negativity in the community that makes me prefer to see shows and perform for other groups.

Not a bad experience... But I feel like for the price, it could be better. The talent was great, the sound system not so much. The food was really good, just pricey for any extras. I'd go back though if I found a good deal on tickets for a show I know will be good.

Sweeney Todd was a miserable experience. The theater was very cramped and very hot. The salad was good but the soup was too spicy and there wasn't enough bread for the table. Since they are serving during the show you can't get refills on drinks or ask for anything. There was no reason to make this show so unbearable. I have been a season ticket holder for 5 years and have no idea what they were trying to accomplish with this format.
