Good little course with a nice slower route around the trees for those of you with less steady feet (aka me). Got a good price via Groupon as well, so very much recommend having a go next winter. Restaurant next door looked good too, but even just for a drink it was too expensive for us.

Many good good things I did, but I would go back there simply and so when I do not have what it is like to be a unique person just for relaxation I did not visit another path just passing from there but at times because I like watching the lively party, I am quite fun to visit others are simply rumored to be bored

Much smaller (half size) than last year but same amount of people (very cramped and hard to skate). Price is expensive for what you get. Ice was melting. Staff very rude and un-helpful. Such a shame as had a great time last year

I visited on a Saturday in mid-December and was pleasantly surprised to find that tickets could be booked online at short notice (although do book if you're planning to go as a friend tried to purchase tickets on the morning of the session we had chosen and found that they were sold out), and that the rink was not overcrowded. Although not as beautiful as some of the rinks in London, Canary Wharf is a pleasant location, with plenty of bars and restaurants around for pre- or post-skating refreshment. The tickets were well-priced and included skate hire (but take a pound coin for the lockers as no bags are permitted on the ice).

However, there were a few drawbacks. As the ice is used so often, it is bumpy and uneven despite frequent cleaning. But the main problem was the staff. On the ice they behave like menacing, showing off and cutting up other skaters (I am a confident skater myself but saw a number of others stumble due to the behavior of staff members). They were also very disorganised in the shoe hire area and not one of my friends was given back the correct shoes on the first attempt.

Worst ice skating experience ever: overpriced, crowded and low quality. Don't bother going there!

The skates are low quality, so that your feet will hurt badly. Changing the size won't help and you will lose time, since the over priced sessions are limited to one hour. Also the blades on my second pair of skates weren't polished, what made it nearly impossible to skate on the ice.

The ice rink itself is even worse. They can't deal with the warm temperatures, that are typically for a winter in London. This means the ice rink is constantly melting and after a maximum of 30 minutes you won't be able to skate properly.

This place is good fun providing you have realistic expectations. Firstly, it's in the heart of London, which is one of the most popular tourtist destinations in the world. So don't expect this to be a cheap activity! I think our tickets More

Gone down hill. Rude staff and poor etiquette from the public, reduced rink size - more like a jungle then rink. Such a shame for us who work here and was used to a better service and people.

Icreased in size from last year, Ice Rink Canay Wharf is one of London's best winter ice rinks and is the perfect place for a date in London. This year there is a skate path that takes you though some trees then rejoins the main rink. Beautifully lit and in the heart of canary wharf makes it feel quite futuristic. Highly recommend going to this rink!

I really enjoyed my time on this rink. Despite what many people are saying, it is not much smaller than last year. It is shorter but wider making it almost a square which allows you to skate in different directions and not just a straight line. It is outdoors this year which means the weather is more of an issue but when I was there (it was cold but dry), the ice was in excellent condition and fast to skate on. The massive screen showing videos of mountains is a nice touch too. It is certainly expensive but I enjoyed it so much I am considering getting a season pass!

What I liked: The lights there really give the Christmas mood. The ice quality is good and the music is nice. If you don't know how to skate there are the supportive 'chairs' available (see second photo). We went there on Wed evening, it was not too crowdy. I liked the experience at ice-rink CW, 1 hour there has flown extremely fast.

What could have been improved: It can be crowdy depending on the date and time. The ice rink is not big and you skate always in the same direction, counter clockwise it would have been nice to have an opportunity to skate clockwise as well.

Booking in advance on the website causes a booking fee, it might be cheaper to buy the ticket directly at the venue.

I went skating there for the opening day on Saturday and it was amazing. Think it's a new company as it's so much better than last year. Has a cool skate path through the trees which I haven't ever seen before and it's awesome. I'll be going again for sure.

I'm coming here every year. It's a great place to have fun. The thickets are more expensive every year and the time shorter. For 16.50 pounds you get 45 minutes. They give you their best own skates and provide lockers for your staff(for 1 pound that's nonrefundable).
The staff are attentive and polite. Every time you fell that come to check on you.
I did have a good time every time so I'll go back there for sure.

Nothing again the ice rink, but it was a very mild day (Feb 20) so the rink was more like a mini lake. They did their best to mop up before we went on the ice but it was a struggle. However, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We saw a few kids that were clearly struggling and the attendants were so patient with them.

We will go again - just wait for better ice skating weather.
