I do not skate.
I do not skate.
It is nice to see other people skating around in winter.

Must go while in winter if you visit Canary wharf..
visited here, the New Year atmosphere. We were a group on the semenara. After the seeds came here, we really enjoyed it.
This is one of the better outdoor ice rinks I have been too. It is session based, which is good as it means the ice can be treated after each session so that it is as good as new for the next session. It seems to be well organised with plenty of helpful staff - one spotted me struggling and suggested a couple of things I could try.
Great place! Well priced! Actual ice! The 'ice path' is great! Would do it again - Best place to ice skate in London! Lovely location too
Ice is ok but the bar area is a huge class of styles and makes no sense. On one hand its trying to be classy but that is cheapened by a 7up video playing on loop, terrible music and a lack of Christmas feeling and cheap "beer here" signs over the bar. Visited today and was very, very let down. Went for food and couldnt buy chips or anything fried because the bar has decided that they no longer want the independant food trader selling fried food because of the smell??? (Sounds like a weak veiled excuse on bars part) Very poor management on the bar's part and just makes the whole operation look clumsy and very, very poor run. I feel for their food traders I really do. Bar is overpriced and staff pretty rude. Go eat and drink elsewhere after your skate. Thank god this place is temporary. Good luck to the food traders i reckon you would better off away from these clowns. Such a shame could be a great place. Its not.
Visited here but ended up not going ice skating. It was so over priced.
Very nicely organised and nice staff. Perhaps a few too many people.
Staff are well organised and quick and the ice is nice and smooth! The only downside is that people stop to take selfies on an already busy ice rink - perhaps staff could intervene and politely ask the girls to take selfies on the side of the ice rink rather than in the middle of the flow to avoid people bumping into each other and phones flying in the air.
this place is seasonal no longer here guys only christmas time check before visiting
Lovely ice ring for Christmas shame ain't open all year around perfect place to skate
This is a seasonal even.
Fun for all ages
Was much better and bigger last year, but I love ice skating and the kids do too so five star for location but 3 stars for the size this year
I haven't skated here but have walked past many times and looks like a great setup. I've never seen it too crowded with a reasonable size too. Location is perfect, pretty much in the centre of Canary Wharf so very easy to get to, so well worth checking out if you are looking for some skating action in London.
Much better than other skating but it's quite pricey.
Good place to go ice skating especially around Christmas time!
Very expensive for what it offers. 17 pounds for an adult, the ice skates are a bit old and not very sharp, the rink was covered in water.
Music was so so, and a bit quiet - always better to ice skate to a bit of fun music!
No discount if you bring your own skates either.
Also have to pay for lockers, as no bags are allowed on the skating ring. Lockers are very small, our laptop just about fitted. I had to use 2 lockers as had a backpack and a bag.
Basically, this place is only for tourists. Would be nice if there was something like this for locals!
Ice Rink Canary Wharf: a pure scam and I weigh my words. There is absolutely nothing magical / magical.
We went on Sunday. Very confident about the presentation and photos of their site, as well as comments from previous years, we booked / ordered our tickets online.
For 34 pounds (adult couple = 17x2 ...), here is what we were entitled to: skates of poor quality, no decoration / illumination (we go out of the marquee to land on the ice, there is more pretty alley leading us to the rink), a ridiculously small ice rink with poor quality ice (not only has the space significantly reduced compared to previous years, but in addition there are lots of puddles and squarely a part the rink condemned / impratible which further reduces the space, see photo).
Not wishing to waste even more time, I will refrain from commenting on the fact that staff let certain individuals (whom they seem to know very well) skate extremely fast and dangerously.
In conclusion: do not be fooled, go skate elsewhere.
(NB: A star because no possibility of not putting any ...)
It's fun. What else needs to be said? Yh you'll slip fall and get a wet bottom if you don't know how to skate and that's all good. Enjoy!
Fantastic! The ice here was good and it was very fun to ice skate with landmark towers on all sides. Only down side is it's a little expensive, there is definitely some cheeper outdoor rinks out there. Also need to invest in air freshener, as being stuck in a room with people's smelly feet is not nice.
in 2016 it changed to be a covered, rectangular rink. Preferred it in the previous years, open air and the path through the trees.
Very poor experience: over crowded tongue point of putting skaters in danger. I had an unpleasant experience
Good experience, visiting Alexandra Palace and had a chance to try the ice skating as well.
This place is amazing. Best enjoyed if you book one of the first two sessions of the day - as it won't be crowded. I love their music and the big screen and it's great for kids too! They have lots of options for little ones. You can purchase skate aids (they're not included in the ticket price and have limited availability!) or get double blades to tie to your little one's shoes, instead of wearing the one blade skates they offer kids, as the double blade helps kids feel more confident on ice. There's a car park nearby and lots of options for quick and tasty food around. Really recommend this place.
The 2018 rink was quite disappointing compared to last few years. Smaller. No loop.
Great although a little out about taking bags near the ice. not great if you're on your own with kids
Much better than the last time I visited this ice rink the year before last. Warm changing room, great ice, a bit more convenient blue skates.
Excellent facilities, very well organised, the transparent roof with LED lights is a great bonus. My kids and I loved it.
Seems well organised and there are plenty of people supervising the ice in case you fall. However the blades on the skates were the dullest I've ever experienced, which made it much harder to control the skates.
The only think I didn t like was that I had to wait over 30 min after to give back the skating shoes
A bit too crowded and small.. The place is OK but nothing great
Inconsistent ice but friendly staff and good experience.
For people who actually know ice skating bit still worth a try
If you re ready to be in a queue for more than 25 min, than in queue to ice rink and when come back again in huge queue to change skates, then go. Maybe try working day at 9.00 am. Rude staff, overcrowded! Just simple rectangular, nothing more! Ice in bad condition. NEVER again!
Seasonal Skating in a great location at good prices. Book early and get early bird discounts. Once you've booked once, they will regularly send you discount codes to attract you back for another visit. Best to avoid the mega busy days like a few days before Christmas....otherwise the venue is fine in terms of number if persons on the ice.
I always enjoy returning here between Nov and Feb each year.
There is a food serving bar beside the ice for those who wait and don't skate.
Great place to take a partner. Woman on the shoe counter seemed a little grumpy though. Beautifully lit up with good transport links.
Gurvinder made me do it.
I will answer no more questions on the matter.
I was watching not dusting, but it was really pretty and people were having a great time
Despite the fact I broke my ankle I would go again. Tip don't be a fool
Great Rink,
I went with a date and we had a great time, the Staff were awesome and the ice was so smooth.
Would recommend, especially on a date :)
This is not a professional ice skate rink yet there are a couple of people doing dangerous zigzag between people. Staff is terrible and did not say anything to the group betting on the security of the families and kids skating. They even started playing with them. Not safe at all! This group also entered repittedly to the rink first on the queue with a sort of VIP treatment.
All depends on temperature outside. 1st time ~3 degrees it was a GREAT skating experience, second ~9 degrees it was TERRIBLE with massive puddles on half of the rink, [should not have paid full price for it] In general friendly staff, skates ok. The rink is covered and sheltered from the wind.
Staffs were rude, food and drinks were over priced and the food tasted horrible. Never again!
A bit on the expensive side, but well taken care of, not too crowded, and very nice staff.
Book in advance to avoid huge queue. Odd design of ice rink as they have a little path which becomes a bottle neck with all the beginners.
Always a good trip out to skate and get in the destive mood
This place is only open during the winter months (November to February) and it really does exactly what it says on the tin. It's really fun provided you can skate a little bit. Best enjoyed with some silly company in my humble opinion. I've seen parties from the surrounding offices etc.
Ice Rink at Canary Wharf is our absolute favourite place in London to Ice skate. The best time to go is early evening when the atmosphere becomes truly magic, just wonderful!
Really lovely atmosphere and well organized. If you want a skating aid you have to order at the venue...even if pre-booked
Local, good service, great for families and couples... Nice ambience, playing commercial music, very safe for children.
Very nice place for ice-skate with friends and family. There is nice music and very nice environment. It has a very nice bar.
Had a great time at a spacious ice rink.. Wasn't like being at one of those crammed places where you struggle to get moving cos there's so many ppl.. And they're open till much later than most other rinks during winter, till late Feb
Only draw back is that it's at England's blandest shopping and financial district
Very Poor Box Office! Have been emailing and calling for 5 days for some customer support to almost every department, info, enquiries and marketing. not one response no even picks up the phone (EVER) Very disappointing
It was astonishing. Everything was beautiful and I really enjoyed the glowing benches. My niece had a blast using the animal-shaped sleighs. Overall it was wonderful, albeit a bit pricey.
