Quiet. Relaxing. Entry to the changerooms and pool is well organized and quick. There is little else to do other than soak or sit on the sides to cool down. There are water fountains on the outside by the pool so you don't need to take a water bottle in with you.
If it is busy, you won't have too much room to move about the pool. Many of the locals and seniors go first thing in the morning when it usually quieter - try to go earlier than later. Don't expect a long stay - water is hot. Be sure to take the signage seriously to stay hydrated and keep from overheating. The experience of enjoying natural hot springs is a must - an inexpensive pleasure. Go for it!

Not bad if you like sharing a bathtub with 200 of your closest friends. The view is beautiful and the only reason to stop. You can rent an old fashioned bathing suit which is a nice touch.

My girlfriend and I went around 3p and it was busy. The water was nice and it was overall a good experience. Along with this, they have two snack areas that has everything from beer to ice cream. The next time I went, I would try to find a different time to come during the day that would be less crowded.

The Springs was quite busy, and the parking lit didn't have adequate space to accommodate the mass of people. The line was also very long to get into the springs, probably a half hour. Overall, the springs were good but the parking and waiting was poor.

This place is packed. If you re trying to be butt crack to face this is your place. Not steaming. Filled with people. Our expectations were very high since they have a good review. But not worth sitting next to 5 billion people in a pool.

Great for those who miss hot springs. It s just a narrow pool-type hot spring where men and women are bothered by their eyes (laughs). But it s good for people who want to get into the hot springs.

For our family of 5 it was just over $30. They have a towel rental fee of $1.50. You can also rent bathing suits there. The cost includes a token for the lockers in the change room! The changerooms and bathrooms are clean! The hot springs pool overlooks the mountains and it is insanely beautiful!!! The pool has a capacity of just over 200 people. When we went there were about 70 and it didnt feel crowded at all! Some of the showers in the change room didnt work properly but there were plenty others to use. They also have a walking trail up from the parking lot....but it was closed so we had to walk on the side of the road up the hill.

Staff was wonderful. Gift shop was wonderful. If you are looking for a great family getaway with one of the best views I've ever seen- Banff Upper Hot Springs will be perfect for you!!!!!

The Hot Springs were nice, but I felt like I was surrounded by full grown children unable to read, what with how few people took their shoes off in the change room like the sign asked.
Honestly, gross. Probably won't be back - at least not on a weekend, when the parking lot is backed up down the hill from selfish people stopping and waiting for cars to leave the very entrance of the lot, rather than circling to the other empty spots.

What a gong show. Not at all a relaxing experience.

This becomes a five star place if you go last hour before closing. At that time, the crowd is chill and kids aren t splashing.

Boiled eggs make me puke, but the pool itself smelled like a faint perfect scrambled egg salted with chlorine.

Everybody that goes here enjoys life, I love it.

The water was piss warm.
They did not mention one of the heaters was broken. Till we payed and entered. It is dirtier than a public pool. The showers were cold. It took me changing lockers 3x till I found one that worked. It's a glorified pool. But it felt nice on skin. Didn't smell like farts.

Needs a good clean and renovation, basically a warm swimming pool full of kids spitting in it...!! Parking is a nightmare, save yourself $10 and don t bother! Much better things to do in Banff!!! Lifeguards spent there shift we were there messaging each other on Apple watches... not very discreetly!!

The place was pretty empty last time I went, which was surprising since I heard it's always busy. We got a spot at the closest parking lot which was still a little bit of a trek to get to the hot springs. The change rooms were nice and big, and the attendant was able to charge the loonie for the locker when we entered which was awesome because we forgot to bring some change. The hot springs had a beautiful view of the mountains and a walk-in to the pool that started indoors. And it wasn't too much most costly than a community pool.

Really nice place to try when it's really cold outside. Enjoying hot water while it was -30 outside was really enjoyable. You get to have frozen hair which is weird. A little crowded but worth it

It was a nice and relaxing environment with a beautiful view of the mountains to look at while you soak in a hot pool. Great for after snowboarding too. I see why it is so popular, and i appreciate that it is a fair price as well.

Amazing scenery once you're in the heated pool (it's not a rocky hot spring, but the view is way better than Radium Hot Springs). For $7.30 (adult) you can sit, relax, and just enjoy the view. The Mountains are right in front and there's a little circle for kids to be in. An hour is more than enough as you'll start to feel a bit too hot.

The water can make you a little itchy if you go in towards the end of the day though, so go earlier if you can.

Changing rooms have lockers big enough for two people to share (cost $1) but be warned the floors can get very wet and you're only allowed to be barefoot in them, so it doesn't feel all too nice. No staff was around to clean up so I'm pinning it on the late hour. Earlier in the day should definitely be better.

Difficult to find parking and there was a line up to buy tickets. The pool was less crowded than I thought it would be. It's basically just a big, hot, swimming pool. And there's a sign up that says you should limit your time in the pool to 10 minutes.

It's a great location to visit after hiking Sulphur Mountain, and the view is great. We went early before it got busy prior to spending the day in downtown Banff. It is worth it however to go the extra distance to Radium if possible.

We visited in the evening, around 9.15... The admission is good value for money and you can hire both towels and swim suits if you wish. It was still busy. We had expected the pool to be more natural looking, however, it was more like a very warm, modern looking, swimming pool...We enjoyed the relaxing experience.

This was a very relaxing experience and it could especially be helpful after long days on the slopes. Other than the view of the mountains, it ultimately just a big hot pool so if you have one at your lodge/resort then it might not be worth leaving the lodge for.

I've been to these hotspring and the miette hotspring. I must say, i liked the miette better. Just because there were 4 different pools, all at different temperatures.
The Banff hotspring is just one pool at 39 degrees Celcius. Wich is a very nice temperature of course, but the pool was very crowded. I think because it's so close to the city/village of Banff. Never the less, i enjoyed being in the nice hot water. Really relaxing.

Really fun place to go if you're going to go see bath. I prefer it when it's snowing outside and in the warm water underneath he feels really cool. This isn't as great as other hot springs per se, but it is clean, it is safe, and it is just a fun spot to go see.

A little snug when it's busy but overall lots of fun with breathtaking views. You can rent everything: Towels, Bathing Suits, etc. But cheaper to bring you own stuff. Either way highly recommended. Perhaps after a chilly trip to the top of the Mountain?

I loved my experience at the hotsprings. It was so fun to go in winter and have the mist freeze all around us. The prices are incredibly reasonable for a beautiful rocky mountain hotsprings experience. I will definitely go again in the future. But a tip would be to bring a bottle of water and snack for after

Crowded but served its purpose to help me relax. Locker didn't work but I found the cleaning lady and she got my tolen back and I moved to a working locker.
Cost me $10.50 for entry with a rented towel and a token for the locker. Fairly clean considering how many people attend in a day. Views are phenomenal. Bathing suit wringer machine wasn't working, they only had one so i had a pretty wet bathing suit to drag home.
But you can rent swim suits there if you forgot yours for a reasonable price.
