My husband has been in the hospital here since Monday. He has been very sick but most of that was complicated by the fact that we could get no one to listen to us. Along the line there have been a few doing their best to take care of him but for the most part this has been something from a horror story. The doctors have been all that was expected but the rest would have been fired long ago if they worked for me. If I listed all the errors that were made over the past few days there would be no space for others to leave reviews. By the way I have never in my 58 years left a review like this for anyplace. Totally unbelievable.

Very bad experience with PT department. I was a caregiver for an elderly man who was to get strengthened by therapy. The sad thing was that they refused to do it. They would say they were doing it but him being in his right mind knew and said they were not. He got weaker and weaker. I had no say so because I wasn't family. I complained to no avail. His own sons would not complain, afraid he would get kicked out. His daughter from out of state came in and she complained. The therapists even lied to her but she knew they were lying. She wanted records, they said they would get them, never did. It's all about money to them and nothing else. I've seen incompetence with others also. But I will say that most of the nurses are very nice

Under NO circumstance would I recommend this medical facility. My grandmother recently had surgery here and it s been the worst experience. First off the nurses are impolite, and messy. On multiple occasions used IV bags were left in the sink, unused IV needles scattered amongst the room and trash thrown on the floor instead of trash can. The beds are outdated and broken. The first bed my grandmother received was an old ICU bed that had less than an inch mattress on it and sunk in the middle. After asking for a new one we received a broken bed that my 76 year old grandmother was sat in only for it to fall flat. Luckily she wasn t injured while the nurses joked I guess that s why someone put it in the hallway . On our first night one nurse forced my grandmother to take an oral pill and swallow water after nearly overdosing her on Phenergan... causing her to aspirate and almost choke to death. Instead of calling for help or attempting to stop the choking this nurse stared in pure terror. The best part. Instead of making sure the pill was out of her mouth (once she started breathing again) the nurse left the room and we later noticed the pill was STILL on her tounge. There is such much more to add but I ll stop ranting here. I will however reiterate... If you love yourself or your family DO NOT USE THIS HOSPITAL!! I think the other reviews would back me up on this one.

Went into the e.r for abdominal pain after 3 hours I found out that my gallbladder had to be removed. I get transferred to the 4th floor and then over to surgery had it removed and stayed the night. The nurse seem if you need there help they will get to you when ever that get ready I kept telling them that I m in bad pain and they did not care. When I was discharged on Saturday the nurse said they will call with my new appointment on Monday and here it is Thursday and still not heard from anyone I ve tried calling and all I get is someone will call me back. So as I lay here in pain and a 101.6 temp I guess they would be happy if I died so I don t disturbed them

My Dr sent me there for severe deydration & extra beats in my heart (I've got a pacemaker) thats not normal. They were imcompatent to say the least. Didn't listen to anything I had to say, then just sent me home like who cares. I will never ever go back here to this hosp again. I'd rather drive 30 miles to get to one.

We had a great experience with a family member in a very sick time involving a serous surgery! Dr Pack took time to inform us about procedure, risk, and what would need to be done and the concern and prayers he had for the family member. Also met after surgery to inform us of situation and status of surgery. He gave us great care and comfort with his thoughtfulness!!! Great staff of nurses with great care and respect for patient. A big heart felt thanks !!!!!!

My parents were treated cruelly, both there as covid patients with pneumonia. The new Dr that came in forced them out of the hospital still on oxygen with nothing but some allergy meds! I am lodging a complaint with the medical board, Medicare, and if anything happens to my parents who are suffering at home I will sue this hospital! Absolutely ridiculous!

I give two stars only because I didn t die I guess. I went to the ER with textbook gallbladder symptoms, and Dr. Pittman sent me home telling me it was just a viral GI problem. I told him of my family history, asked about a gallbladder function test, and told him of recent symptoms that now made perfect sense. I was throwing up with severe back and abdominal pain, shaking, elevated liver enzymes, and he sent me home on a Sunday morning with nausea meds. Luckily I have a friend of a friend who works for Dr. Jeffrey, and she got me in early Monday morning, scheduled a CCK and found that my gallbladder was functioning at 20%. I could tell more horrible ER stories, but basically WRMC ER is a complete joke.

This hospital has a great team ,& very experienced staff. They're very concerned with the well being of their patients and are on time for most of everything . They've carried me to the bathroom , watched me scream , throw up , pee on myself & haven't judged me one time. I've been in only one other hospital with an amazing experience like this one & that was Ohio State University, where I gave birth to my daughter . This staff has offered to watch my 2 girls while I showered, have handed my girls toys , coloring books , colors , ice creams , lotions ... You name it . All while taking very well care of myself . I'm very great full for this hospital & the great caring people who have helped to make me , me again .

Absolutely worst hospital ever! My son had a cat scan and they said he was fine, but I took him to Little Rock and took the films from the cat scan, he had a brain tumor the size of an orange. Now tell me how does the radiologist miss that? It was clearly visible on the cat scan films. Then not an attorney in the state of Arkansas would take my case because I didn't want money but the radiologist's job terminated.

I had a disgusting bandage on my foot which should have been removed before entering the OR to prevent an infection. Did not happen. Also while in the OR, in twilight sedation, I heard the OR staff make jokes about my weight. If there was another hospital nearby, I would go elsewhere.

Service here can be really hit and miss. I have had several major surgeries at this hospital as well as three children born here and for the most part the it is acceptable. The food is above average and the cafeteria is modern and well staffed. A local coffee shop and a Subway dot the entrance. The attitude of staff members varies considerably but the medical staff is usually considerate.

I guess it is common practice for this hospital not to turn over paper work to a lawyer in the time frame they were given and just hope everyone forgets their negligence. This hospital is great if you want your doctors to ignore life threatening signs and symptoms. Then when someone dies because of what they did they will try to cover it up and simply fail to comply with any family or lawyers.

I took my son to the ER due to blood in his vomit. The doctor didn't introduce herself to me or my son and was rude and very abrupt in her intake of our reason for being there, didn't answer any of my questions, kept condemning me for not bring in a sample of the bloody vomit and only seemed interested in pushing medication on my little boy. She absolutely showed no care to anyone. I wish I could list her name. She didn't even speak to my son, the patient, ever! They were forcing medically unnecessary treatment on us after they had already read the labs and x-ray and determined he was ok. They didn't seem very bright, nor did they seem to have received any training on how to ease patients with a tiny bit of kindness.

Have been waiting 2 weeks for a call to schedule heart sonogram that was requested by my Cardiologist, crickets. Did receive one call, young lady was really nice, until she read the request and figured out she was trying to schedule wrong procedure. Told me my procedure was scheduled by another section, and that she would notify them to call me.
I understand with COVID 19, people have been laid off, is anyone working. Hopefully, I won't have a heart attack before I get a call

This is the worst hospital a person could ever go to. I was there last night while i was there the nurses were rude. The nurse swabbed my nose and throat for the strep and flu. The doctor came in and said i had the flu the whole time i was balling cause my head hurt so bad and they gave me tylenol for it and would not let me leave for two hours cause my heart rate was 150 and they was not even concerned why it was so high they just took me off to a room in the back and left me there didnt come back in for like 45 min but never not one time were they concerned about my heart being high they told me when my heart rate was to go down they will let me go home and when it finally did go down they came in to let me go with me still crying and they did not care.... I have been up since 4 oclock this morning hurting so bad with my head. My nurse was Shannon Cole and my doctor was Joseph Foley

This hospital is a nightmare and a majority of the staff, especially the doctors, just seem not to care. By far the worst I have witnessed was when my grandmother had to get her foot amputated, after the surgery the surgeon said it was successful it wasn't until we saw her we realized HE REMOVED HER WHOLE LEG, without consent, without even notifying any of her family even after the surgery. If you have the choice, for your own health please avoid this hospital.

Unfortunately the lowest the scale goes is one star. I was there for 5 days. The first day I was there they made me stop all the medications I was prescribed all at once. One possible side effect from quitting some of the medications I was on was convulsions and suicidal thoughts and actions (so not the most knowledgeable people in my experience ). Luckily I was discharged before they killed me.

I had to have emergency surgery a few months ago d...

I had to have emergency surgery a few months ago due to an infection that became septic and gangrene set in, and the surgeon did everything right from the IV antibiotics to the prompt removal of the necrotic tissue. My pain was well controlled at the hospital, but the take home pain medicine prescription was not adequate for the amount of post surgical pain. The nurses are always very nice and professional with me every time i've had to be in this hospital, and this time my nurses were even better than expected. The food is good even for hospital food in my opinion, and the rooms and halls, etc. were always very clean. The nurses are by far the best part of the hospital, and the majority of the doctors seem quite skilled and competent. The nurses also have always gotten an IV line started with one stick with me, which is impressive since I have veins that tend to roll and be hard to get the first time. I would give the hospital 5 stars except for the attitude of one of the non medical staff who arranged for me to get out of the hospital. All in all the quality of care was great, my doctor saved my life by skilled surgery and prompt action.

This place is the place to go if u want mostly unfriendly, impersonal medical professionals to,,, guess at what's wrong with you, and, if your lucky u wont, catch staff while your there, but u can be gauranteed a restful stay because ultimately, your nurses will ignore you even when u ask for something a zillion times, or you'll have a bunch if interns and they gave no idea, or the doctor what's really wrong with you

This place has me livid. My grandmother went in to get checked on because she was having signs of a stroke. She made it to this place and was dizzy, and drowsy. It was apparent. So apparent in fact that a nurse had to help her fill out her paper work simply because she couldn t even write anything down at this point. Fast forward a bit and they Let her DRIVE HERSELF to another emergency room! I am amazed that she even made it to the hospital. And am seriously angered by the staff that allowed my grandmother to drive under these conditions.

My dad had surgery to replace a catheter for his peritoneal dialysis. The next day, without checking to even see if it worked, they sent him home. When I was 8 I was hurt and went there and for two hours not one person came to me, two hours I sat in the room in pain.
But my brother did have a surgery there and other than a few incidents that went ok.

My better half is there right now, Chester martin. His medication regimen was ignored on tues. They gave him a double dose of a heart medication and refuses to listen to him as to theeds he takes in the morning and the ones he takes at night. They are also giving him an antibiotic and he doesn't know what it is. They need to check that because some antibiotics interfere with his hearthe medication. No one on the floor listens.

From the view of a patient, horrible. I had my oldest daughter at wrmc and they allowed me to become septic. WRMC would've allowed me to die, if NEA in Jonesboro had not stepped in (I ended up in critical care for a week, due to Dr.Carltons mistakes during surgery, and post op, including going completely against the birthing plan that had been in place for several months, simply due to it being a holiday weekend)

After being an employee, absolutely not. Although MOST of the employees are nice, incredibly caring, and competent, some are not and it's not worth the Russian roulette. There are employees that work there that admit to taking their loved ones to a different hospital because they refuse to use the very hospital that they work at. I feel like that in its own should speak for itself.

9/10 people who have told me stories about their hospital encounters and stays here were dissatisfied with their visits, myself included. I was on a medication that mentioned breathing issues as a side effect. I could not sleep because I could not catch my breath. After struggling for a few days, I went to the ER and explained my situation. I was told to sit in the waiting room my breathing issues were treated as if I had a cold or something minor. I waited in the waiting room for over an hour. Once I was taken back to a room, I encountered 4 different workers in succession. Each time, it was obvious that they had not communicated with each other: I had to inform each worker about the medication I was on. My issues were downplayed as a panic attack as if I didn t understand my body and know the difference between what I was feeling and a panic attack, especially since I was previously lying in bed and relaxed until I couldn t breathe. One worker argued with me and said that I had high blood pressure when I was asked if anyone in my family did and I didn t mention myself. I told her, I am not on medication for high blood pressure. Obviously mine was high in that moment because I couldn t breathe, and everyone was acting incompetent around me and not listening. In the end, I wasted my time and went home and continued dealing with side effects until the medication was out of my system. Unrelated, they told my aunt she had tick fever. When she went to a different specialist, he informed her it was not tick fever, and he could not believe what the hospital told her. My grandma had a surgery a few years back at the hospital. She wasn t getting enough oxygen, so they kept her a little longer until they could stabilize her breathing. When she went home, her doctor called her and checked in with her about her breathing the next day she was dead. If you re in search of unprofessional or uneducated medical attention, this is the place to go to die.

I am 19 weeks pregnant and had a scheduled ultrasound at the Josephine Raye Rogers Center. I have been anticipating this appointment for a few weeks. Amanda, the ultrasound technician, kept the screen turned so that I could barely see what was going on. Not only that, but she also didn't even take pictures as she went. Maybe I am wrong, but I thought pictures were pretty standard for a scheduled ultrasound. If you are pregnant and have the option to get your ultrasound done elsewhere, I suggest you do that. Pretty much anywhere else.

Worst hospital ever. No one is willing to help you could literally walk in the emergency room while bleeding for your life or someone you care about is hurting. Yet you first go past an older lady who can t hear a word your saying and everyone around who are younger than her. Once your in, it takes 4 people to attend you, because 2 of them don t know what they re doing. While one asks you some stupid questions and the other is just there. They never take it seriously.

This hospital was the worst experience ive ever had having any of my grandchildren. One was born in Newport had a ok one their. One born in Mt. Home had a great one their. Here was horrible!! Even had one very unprofessional nurse (Regina) YELL at me (the grandmother) for sternly requesting my daughter's pain meds after a c section. When we came in for a false water break (tested). They kept my daughter over night but refused to give her a room w a tv or one with anything other that a hard folding chair. I do NOT recommend this hospital to anyone! My mom came here once forf heart trouble, upon leaving she was made to wait almost 2hrs for a wheel chair. She actually just decided to walk out and walked right past them chatting.

This hospital almost killed my one year old. Went to the ER, took two and a half hours to see a doc, just for him to tell me my kid had "strep throat." Woke up the next morning to my kid unresponsive. Called the ambulance to take me ANYWHERE but here. Turns out, his blood sugar was 800+ and he was DKA. He was immediately flown to childrens. All it would have taken was a finger poke but the doctor barely gave us two minutes and seemed annoyed we were even there. Will not let any person in my family go to this hospital.

I wish I could give a higher rating but I asked for Financial Assistance and was treated very poorly. Each time (3) i sent in my amended 20 page response to financial questions i received another request for the same and additional financial documentation. The amount I was asking for help with was under $300. The hospital, on the other hand, received over $50,000 for the procedure I had done. So I would hazard a guess that they wear you down until you rescind your request, which I have done.

After running a fever for 11 days straight and having bad upper left abdominal pain when eating, I finally broke down and went to the ER even though I was uninsured because it was recommended by my family doctor that I go as I had passed out in the shower the night before I visited the ER. I had recently lost health insurance coverage two months prior. Upon check in they never asked for updated insurance or if my insurance was the same so I'm guessing they assumed I had insurance. They quickly got me back into a room to be examined. The nurse who did my initial questions was very pleasant and sweet, then a doctor came in. Not sure of her name, I don't think she ever introduced herself but I remember seeing it written on the whiteboard. She was rather standoffish. Wouldn't make eye contact, just kept staring at the computer screen or looking up at the ceiling while I was talking. She performed an abdominal exam and said they were going to do a series of tests to try to rule some stuff out. I gave a urine sample, then came back in the room and the nurse promptly got set up to start an IV. She was nice enough to place the IV where I requested because I'm a hard stick. Blood was drawn and then she came back with some pain meds because I was experiencing mild abdominal pain that I rated at only a 2-3 so when she said "narcotic pain meds" (no specific name given), I just assumed something on the "milder" end of the scale since my pain wasn't bad. She pushed it through my IV and immediately tingles shot up my left arm and into my chest, my chest tightened so bad I couldn't breathe. I can only imagine this is what a heart attack would feel like, it was awful. The nurse showed no worry and assured me it was normal and that it would subside soon. When I finally caught my breath I asked what kind of medicine it was and she said she had given 4mg of morphine. (Later after this incident I asked a few nurses I know if this was normal and they said no, they've never had a patient react to morphine like that and they said she must have pushed it all in at once). So after that they sent me for a CT and a CT with contrast. I was happy because I felt like they were being thorough and aside from the "normal" reaction to the pain meds and the weird doctor, the experience was going pretty good so far. They brought me back to the room after my CT's and about 20 mins later a different doctor came in (who also never introduced himself) and said I was being sent home because I "just have a UTI", antibiotics would be called in, then just walked out. I felt it was at this point they realized I didn't have health insurance and just wanted me out. My mother who was there with me had to leave the room and stop the doctor because we had questions that weren't answered. We asked how a UTI causes me to not be able to eat without being in intense pain. He said "it's probably you're gallbladder which will have to have a scan done to find out but we don't do that here. It's something you set up with your doctor." Lol, a hospital doesn't do gallbladder scans? What a joke. I feel like I was in then put out so fast, did the labs even have time to come back? How thoroughly can you read two CT scans in 20 minutes at best? So now I get to pay $3,500 to be told I had a UTI.

With the exception of a horrible experience with two
nurses my twelve days in the hospital were the best I could ask for. The two nurses stuck me 12 times trying to start an I. V. though I repeatedly asked them to stop and call my doctor and get someone else to stick me. I had two friends visiting and they were pleading on my behalf but those two nurses wouldn't listen. Needless to say, I will never allow those two to touch me ever again. As for everyone else, I couldn't ask for any better care.

Had to stay with my mother over a weekend for coronary issues. How is there no hot water? We had to use baby wipes for three days, and staff seemed to treat it as no big deal. The subway in the caf gave my sister food poisoning. When my mom's i.v. drip ran out and started beeping it took me two hrs to find someone to shut it off: the nurses station was unmanned and pressing mom's call button did nothing. Thank God it wasn't a real emergency. My wife had an accident while we were there and wound up needing staples in her scalp. The emergency room was the most terrifying thing I've ever seen: there were gaping holes in the walls where equipment had been removed, the only object in the room at all was a couch like cot that had unsteady legs that made the whole thing wobble. I can understand undergoing renovations, I'm sure they need them badly, but if that is what was taking place then patients should be moved to safe, sanitary areas, not shoved in a room that's not completed... For myself and my loved ones I'll go elsewhere.

I come to the er on Tuesday told them on all issues including a knot on my leg. They addressed other items but never looked at the leg. On thursday that week or 2 days later I returned to the er this time I went only on the leg after tests they discovered I had a bad problem and need emergency surgery and it was life and death. The staff in ICU was incredible and some on the floor was awesome also. Some left a lot to be desired.

I was in WRMC for observation. I was having all the signs of heart issues. They did their little tests etc. sent me home with no real diagnosis until I said something about asthma. Then they said oh yes maybe that s it. I went to my Dr. for follow up from hospital. My doctor knows me and said I needed to see a cardiologist. He was right. I had a 90% blockage and had to have a stent put in. These hospitalist know NOTHING about you, your own doctor does. They should go back to what worked for the patients not WRMC s pocket book. If you are very sick do not waste your time or money on WRMC. The nurses and other workers were nice but they can only do what the money hungry hospital will let them do.
