Many happy memories coming here as a kid. It's too bad that the CNE doesn't upgrade and become more of a year round amusement park.

I enjoyed it when I was 10 and still enjoyed it when I'm in my 20s. A fun place to be during the summer.
Always a great place to go, various foods, rides, and things to do.
So many great things to see! Dont miss the silk lanterns! So many great vendors. Loved the National Geographic photos! Closed the Ex, had so much fun! I plan to return a few more times before it ends!
At the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition), I got to play the Nintendo Switch. It was fun, also I bought an ice cream waffle sandwich and many drinks to stay hydrated.
Great place to go to the CNE in the summer Budweiser Amphitheater lots of concerts just a great time down at the lakefront
Thanks for the great concerts these past years CNE keep up the good work.
Also grounds were very tidy this year with lots of water refill stations, excellent work
There are many things at the CNE such as shows, exhibits, rides, small shops, and a large food area. Try not to go at lunchtime as there are so many people and not enough seating. There are many food vendors serving a variety of good foods. Parking was difficult and pricey, but they have several TTC streetcars and GO trains that stop right in front of exhibition place. They even have a shuttle around the venue.
Was a great place to visit by and have a great time!
Go ever year at least once food is expensive and beer is 12 bucks a can could put the price down for a beer way to much money being robed I guess that why I go once
OMG we love this place! My family enjoyed a lot, you can find attractions for al ages, in my experience I recommend to buy the full day pass and if you don t want to wait to much in the line the express pass, it is kind of expensive but at the end you can save a lot of time and enjoy more attractions. If you can arrive early because you will find to much to do.
That was our first time in CNE. Absolutely fun stuff for whole family. going there again next time.
Awesome free shows and attractions, also great food!
Needs more water stations. The food and entertainment was too expensive with the entry price.
Really long lines and the games and rides are outdated.
Fun games are take all your money lol food vendors should be a little nicer and price for food shouldn't be so high
It was alot of fun. So many food options and games. We got to see some we performances as well.
Every year is a must! Workers on the ground inside and outside do such a great job!
CNE is something you think you're not going to do but you do it anyways. The goood building is always a draw but we also went to the ice skating show and the aquarama this year which were both excellent!
Good place. Spacious, large parking. Public transport accessible. An annual event opens mid aug to 1st week in sept.
Opening 16th aug 2019 and till 2 sep. Dont miss with whole family and friends. Kids have fingerz crossed; gaming yay
Lots of stuff to do with lots of exercise for your legs. Particularly liked the plane exhibition and water gymnastics. Note you spend mostly cash here so withdraw cash and keep your credit card stashed away.
CNE amazing had a great time there. Events are well managed so can t miss any.
I love the historic architecture of the Ex. Especially Alfred Chapman's work.
Easy access, free parking and amazing view of Lake Ontario
Great end to the summer visiting the CNE! Lots of cool new foods and desserts to try. They have lots of variety of games, rides, and fun prizes to win. Family really enjoyed it, we've made it a tradition to go every year and always have a great time.
Came at 10 am today with family and the rides are not open till 11:00am.
Visit in the evening! the lights are gorgeous. My friends and I did the cable ride that takes you through the entire exhibition. We waited in line for an hour but it was worth it! Downside: pricey if you are on a budget because the admission fee ($20) will only grant you an entrance into the space. You have to pay for tickets is you want to go on rides or play games. Food is of course extra as well.
Loved it..so many shows, exhibits and concerts...even one full day is not enough to cover all.. highly recommend this to all.
Wow, they sure have upped their game at the CNE this year! Affordable food, lots of Muskoka chairs to give your feet a rest, water filling stations (there could be more) and the kids midway is away from everything else. Brilliant!
I can't even believe the outrageous prices for rides! Yikes!! Especially in the kids zone. I had to pay $10 to ride this tiny "rollercoaster" with my daughter that lasted 30 seconds.
I guess they feel they can charge these prices because the EX is a Toronto summer staple.
I say screw that. Boycotting this nonsense.
Much cleaner then I remember
Seems to be more children oriented in several areas.
Loved seeing the indoor Chinese Lantern. Hope to see them again. Great exhibit
New stuff in the food building and some new vendors. Had a great time!
Family tradition. Insider tip - plan your day ahead and get to the free entertainment to avoid feeling like it's just a big flea market
Spent many years visiting the CNE. There are many rides, shows and fairs to visit in a single day. You might visit multiple times just to see the other things offered. There are also lively exhibits, dog shows, festivals, somewhat pricey food and a wide variety of intercultural exhibits. Nostalgia might be clouding my judgement a bit. You can get discount tickets if you're a school student, young child or senior citizen. The only con: be prepared for a lot of walking. Otherwise, I have had great experiences.
Great place to visit and only wish the fair ran longer. Lots to see, do, buy and experience. Midway is a lot of fun. Also, most of the exhibitors are in a beautiful air conditioned building so the weather is not a factor. I might recommend you find the lavender cart which has been there for 70 years. Classic.
Too much crowded , tiring walk . Nice rides and games . Food options available. Full day can be spent with lots of fun . But if you dont like to walk stay away .
It was crowded (as expected) but this year the buildings were pretty much the same as before. The main reason why you go would be for the food, rides, or carnival games. My only concern would be that there are a lot of cigarette and weed smokers and they smoke everywhere, not really good for the health of children. My nose literally burns when I smell the weed. There should be smoking regulations on the exhibition grounds. Overall, the food is amazing and I had fun!
Family tradition since the 1950s. The family never misses a year.
Loved the CNE ! So much food and games . If you have extra cash to burn this a fun place to spend it at.
There's loads to do and see but it's crazy busy, or at least it was when I was there on a Wednesday evening. The live music over at ribfest was great though, it's much more chilled out there.
Amazing atmosphere and loads of food and shopping and games and so much more. CNE is what i visited and the food offering was just humungous.
Since a kid I've come here, never am I disappointed, this is a wonderful event with so many things to do and great facilities. Great food, fair prices, and ONE AMAZING TIME!
Disappointed. Expenssive and crowded. I came for the Airshow. The Airshow was great.
Always fun. They should put more funding into live performances and entertainment. Fun for all ages!
Nice enough for a visit. Safe environment for families.
everything is fun; the rides are good for both children and adults, the food is good (and definitely a must try if you go) and the various shows/buildings they have with shopping are good, too. the few things i have to critique however the food building has little to no air conditioning, and when it is almost 40 degrees outside, air conditioning or fans or both should be provided to prevent people passing out/not feeling well. the other thing is that there is currently one known water bottle refill station, so adding some more along the way for people would be helpful as well. other than these two things, though, it is a fun experience and worth going, just prepare to (hopefully) find room outside in the shade to eat your food due to the lack of air conditioning
Not bad, but we missed the ice show and waterskiing show this year.
Fun stuff for kids and for foodies. Good shopping at the exhibition halls.
Lots of things to see and do. Amazed at the dance show put on by disabled people. Enjoyed live music in various locations.
I haven't been here in over a decade. So it was time to visit. There were so many things to see here: magic lanterns, the cat show, the sand castles, butter sculpting, and the farm building. The best thing is the food building where you can find: frogs legs, cookie dough treats, fried Ferrero Rocher, Mac & cheese, blooming onions. I had so much fun!
A lot of things to see and visit.. One day is definitely not enough..
The kids concert area has great kid shows. Food building is a lot less busy during weekdays
Part of cne. Huge exhibition area. I have been in this building numerous time for different event. Run for family visit
Fun but can be very expensive. I love the arts and crafts room, you can see a lot of interesting creations without the crowds.
This is a yearly Toronto must! So fun for all ages. They have rides, games, special buildings (for example, a farm), concerts and food! You can go for normal food vendors or try the unique foods that are available
I always love The Ex! It's something we look forward to every year! The kids have a great time on the rides, there's a lot of different options available in the Food Building at meal times and there's something to be said about the excitement in the air, because pretty much everyone there feels the same way!
The only gripe I have is about the seating in, or around the Food Building. I know it's hard to completely accommodate everyone due to the hordes of people that descend on The Ex on a given day, but I was hoping that they would've added some extra picnic tables, or something outside of the building. Usually, when it's time to eat, you'll find that you're eating standing up, or on the ground, which can be challenging with kids.
At the CNE there is something for everyone. The place is full of energy and the air is filled with the smells of good eats. A summer tradition.
At the CNE more than half of the place is selling things. I was planning to watch 4 shows but instead I ended up on watching 2 shows. This year there were less shows and I ended up leaving early
Had a fantastic time here with the fam. Easy to get here by GO train. The food court could use some ceiling fans. The food was great. Noted an absence of cleaners, so the tables can get sticky and dirty very fast. Free water filling stations which was very thoughtful of the carnival, especially during hot summer days. They should modernize the ticket purchasing to get in rides. Long lineups just to buy tickets. If they had some sort of electronic automated payment system to replace their ancient way of paying it would speed up lines much much faster.
Super fun! Spent the entire day there and would definitely go back for some more fun.
My mothers been coming here since shes been small, so it's a tradition for us to go every year. Love the X.
Love the cost I went with 2 of my friends and we had a blast
Always an amazing time. Check out blogto to find out this years must try foods. This year you have to visit the lantern festival ( legends of the Silk road). It's a fantastic display. Instead of the food building which is a hot and disgusting Petrie dish, opt for one of the food trucks or stands outside where there's fresh air. Classic rides and great performances on the international building. Try your hand at carnival games or chill in the casino. Theres alot to do. Enjoy!
If you need to access the GO TRAIN, you must access it via the North Side of the Tracks and not the South side, otherwise you will run into the CNE. The CNE has goons working for them in security. They created trouble for me today as I was needing to access the train to see my family who were leaving for Italy this week for 3 weeks (so it was important I arrive on time). They put me at risk for missing my train. I suggested I get escorted twice to the stop as I had 3 security guards ganging up on me and they still would not let me through this way. I normally take the South side and don't appreciate how they make it difficult for Go Train users.
Very good set of rides. My son thoroughly enjoyed the time there.
A Toronto summer tradition. Always a good time, always new and interesting things mixed with the old faithfuls. It can get pricey though. I don't know why they need to charge an entrance fee when you have to pay for everything inside.
Its a wonderful outing for family, this is one event we never miss, we love it.. we are looking forward to this year exhibition, already bought tickets lol. I love the roller coasters though i am scared of them
I'm at Toronto man born and raised and this is my second time in my life coming to the ex. I can't believe all these years I've missed out on but I guess I finally made it. Finally got to experience all the hype growing up and the food from the tiny Tom donuts to the rare stuff you don't find around the city. It only last 2 weeks in this year was able to catch the Air Show. if you're in Toronto during the two weeks that it happens it's a must.
A fun and exciting place for the family to visit during the summer. This is a great attraction that represents the 6ix
The exhibits are kind of sparse with lots of cheap street-festival type stations in-between. Technology exhibits are outdated. The farm section was good with a corn sandbox, but otherwise not impressed with anything I saw, nor with the fact that I paid money to see it.
Plus, tickets are one time entry only. And tram rides don't allow you to put babies on your lap. Babies have to sit in their own seat, what? Very odd and random rules in general...
Tho it always disappoints (aside from the food building), we try to go every year.
Exhibits can be cool or tedious.
Rides are carnival-like so don't expect much as an adult.
Midway games are rigged like every carnival but still fun to play.
Food building is amazing. Try everything. In fact, spend most of your time here.
Shows are hard to fit in unless you spend a FULL DAY here which can be tough to do. Usually pretty good tho. Good excuse to get off your feet.
We always have a great time at the CNE. We try to go on week days to avoid insane crowds and we were pleasantly surprised. The kids did not have to wait in many lines for rides and everyone left happy and exhausted. Our favourite are always the interesting food choices and the super dog show. This year we enjoyed seeing the national geographic 50 best photos and the lanterns as well.
Super busy, as per usual. Best to go early in the morning or on a weekday. Found parking across the bridge at ontario place for $30 (until midnight) Super fun day.
A great visit to the CNE. So much to see and do...never disapointed!
Largest 2 week flea market in Canada ... with a few rides and entertainment thrown in for the overpriced admission. It's not the same CNE of the 1970s and 1980s.
