Nice atmosphere but really crowded. Still there are good deals to be had if you are just shopping.

I'm American and I have been probably at the CNE over a dozen times now. My parents liked to go there because it was huge. I go now with my father every couple of years. It isn't as large as it was in the 1980s. But it still has a lot going on. Also the Food Building used to be cheap, not so much anymore. Now they have a casino during the CNE, but it's tables only and the rules generally aren't good. But it's nice to see the buildings and stroll the midway.
The rides are pretty fun but my favourite ride (the zipper) is almost always under construction. If you're here I recommend the dog show and trying some of the crazy food.
I always love going to the Ex. It's where you can pig out on your favourite foods, or try new foods. You can also buy clothes, shoes, furniture and appliances, and go on thrilling rides. And where else can you see some great shows too? It's also got carnival games as well, but unless you really want the prizes they have, I suggest you save your money as it's not easy to win stuff. Waste your money on the overpriced food instead!
Spent several hours at this place. Overall found it to be a pleasant experience. Washrooms are clean. Staff helpful...
Just go get an Ice Cream Waffle sandwich, it's the best thing you can put in your face.
Great place to finish off the summer, the food is great and this place has great rides for kids and adults.
We went on a weekday morning. Wasn't too busy on the cne grounds or inside the better life centre. Perfect for when you have 2 young kids!
Tons of fun every year, huge markets and tons of rides and things to do. Food here is also amazing.
best time for family and friends get together... fun 4 kids especially
Do it...you will not be disappointed. Make sure you show up hungry and adventurous. You will never experience such interesting food options anywhere else.
Give yourself an entire day at minimum to experience as much as possible. There's is something for everyone.
Overpriced service and not much to do. I would recommend going only one time
Our city's annual national fair! Been going here for all my life since I was a kid! Even worked here growing uo! Great fair something for everyone! Tons of people, exhibits, vendors, food and games! The midway is nice and long! Go now more for family tradition really more than anything but still love it nonetheless! Will definitely be returning next year, and yes highly recommend to everybody whether you've gone or not!
Great...shouldnt charge so much for a drink but Howard Jones was AMAZING!
Excellent way to spend for last days I the summer. Long lineups, good food.
CNE was completely over priced for the quality of attractions it had to offer. Parking was expensive, admission was reasonable, and food was very expensive. Would not consider going again.
It was nice to be there again this year! Wished I could have seen more pavilions. See you next year!
Very busy lots to see & have fun.have to get there early
Fun end of summer event with a wide variety of food and activities
Always a good time with lots of options at the CNE/EX.
Washrooms r beyond disgusting. Kid just spraying the floor with a squirt bottle of windex after each person walks out, like great job. No toilet paper in mens or womens, no running water in mens washroom.
Food is terrible. Horrible staff, games r old
Let's go to the Ex!! As much fun as an adult as it was as a kid!
Always a go to for the end of summer. Always enjoying the different concoctions made up there
It's a fun place to go but parking alone is 30 dollars. This fun trip adds up real quick. Plus 30 min wait for every ride (and I went on a wednesday) wouldnt go again but it was fun.
They should call the CNE what it really is now "The Parkdale County Fair"!
First time there, never need to return. Everything expensive, very crowded. Not a bad price if you can see one of the musical artists.
Great times but avoid The Hurricane ride. You will feel sick for at least an hour after. So unassuming but it turns your stomach big time!
my fave summer place to go just love it feel like I'm in Disney land when I go there!
It is always sad when CNE comes around because it marks the end of summer. But other than that this is the best and an affordable place to go once a year to walk around, try different foods and squeeze the last drop of summer.
My wife and I have been going for about 10 years now and this year was the 2nd year with my two year old son. All of us always have a blast.
Amazing rides coupled with unique food choices. We chose to 2nd last day and it was packed.... If you plan a full day of rides, come by 10 am and get a good parking spot for $35(Remember your location with photo or landmark or GPS). Invest in $15 express pass. Worth your time to enjoy more rides.
Great spacious place, huge expo center for goods and services, huge outdoors for food and carnival activities. Can spend whole day here and not get bored. Another plus is the Go train station being right there near the entrance, so convenient if you aren't using your own ride.
Always love going there when it's in town. The air show is an amazing site to behold.
16 days of fun, but never tweet to them directly for they will not reply
An annual event, food & fun. But prices went up & entertainment went down.
It's a very big place with lots of different and beautiful buildings. Some of the entries and exits were a bit confusing for me cause of the size and location but I guess it will be easier to navigate if you're familiar
I went for the food. I stayed for the food. I didn t leave because of the food.
Great event every year to attend with family and friends. Highly recommend if you're from out of Country. It really is outstanding. Be prepared to be lost in crowds though if you're going on a weekend. Haha.
Every year this is a fun place for families, groups of friends, dates, or just eating strange food.
2016 brought the deep friend Reese's cups. It's a Toronto thing to do to go to the Ex, and it's worth the cost of the tickets.
Have been going for many years..... We love the Ex but this time around was shocked that almost all of the vendors even in the food building was cash only!!! What happened to debit??? There were bank machines but the wait was at least 45mins long! I think they should have advertised bring cash with you!!! Didn't do as much as I wanted as I thought I didn't need to bring that much cash, would just use debit. A bit disappoint. A vendor told me that the CNE does not want them using their network therefore they only could do cash??? That I don't get?
Lots of fun things to do, from rides and games to shows and other events. It gets really busy from the afternoon until closing. Bring cash because almost no one will take card.
Busy and expenseive but kids had fun. Haunted House was 15 seconds that my 6 year old asked when is the scary part, at the end.
It's pretty awesome, prices are what you'd expect and it has a lot to offer! Great for a foodie!
Lots of fun for the kids!
A bit overpriced but so much to do!
You'll want to take the ttc or find parking over of dufferin in liberty village.
This place is my next door neighbor and the backyard of my kidos for 8 years. It such a lovely place too bad we have to move on to other neighborhood as rent is getting out of reach.
Lots of fun. Could have a bit more rides for the kids. Specially some water activities.
Every year the Ex gets worse and this year was no exception!
Yes, the CNE was much bigger and somewhat better in the 1970s than it is today. (It's become a giant food court, outlet mall and flea market rolled into one.). But there's still so much to do here, and the wacky foods sold here are something to see and taste. It's a can't miss attraction - warts and all.
Beerfest. If u have never been u are missing something amazing. You're not a Toronian if u haven't visited at least once
This is my all time favorite place to go every year with my children it's something we do every year.
Lots of activities for all ages. Admission price is a bargain for what you get, but prices on the grounds for food and rides are high.
It was first experience for me and my son.. We love canada
A bit run down, that said some fantastic events are hosted here.
It was fun! Didn't find the chicken hearts I was looking for but I did manage to find some other cool things to eat. Also did s ghost walk, it was pretty cool.
It is a great place to enjoy different kinds of shows like ice skating dance, dog show and exhibitions etc. It offers something for each person. Be prepared to walk a lot and know the timings of the events beforehand and be there in time to watch your specific event. I missed the dog show entry by 5 minutes as I didn t find the way to it beforehand!
A great place to spend the evening with friends and family. Food and rides are a bit pricey, though it would be the same for any fair.
Great time every year. The kids love it and it brings back a lot of memories of childhood every year I go. The food choices are great and I love all the rides. Everyone in the family will enjoy this event, even teenage girls who hate everything and think its stupid.
I have been to the CNE twice in my life and I've enjoyed it both times. You pay an admission fee to get in, and once inside you do have to pay more for most things like rides and carnival games. Food is expensive but there are lots of unique options which is cool. Bottom line, dont go if you are expecting to pay only an admission fee.
Awesome Experience, so much to do for everyone. 7 years living in the city and i am so mad at myself i never been there all these years.
It is the best experience that no one wants to miss.
If you think it expensive, you can go after 5 pm on Monday to Thursday and it only costs $8.
A great venue for trade shows and markets. Could do with more cleanliness in the washrooms though for a place that often hosts international guests
It's a family fun filled tradition that one can't get bored of year after year. It's also a less depressing summer ender than the start of school in September.
Was a great time this year. I have been going since I was very young so we have made it a tradition. Food was great, rides were fun. Cannot wait until next year.
No longer educational or innovative. Most of the buildings are no longer accessible and the few that are are simply a market place. Too bad.
Summer tradition before the kid goes back to school
I always love the Ex. If you've never experienced it, you have to go at least once in your lifetime. Be prepared for lots of walking or take the CNE train. If you don't want to spend a lot on food, eat before you go - food is very expensive.
Opening day today and I came to see Burton Cummings.
My preschoolers loved the animals and the kiddie rides.
Same old same old. Buildings need rejuvenation. Needs new ideas. You could skip every other year and not miss a thing.
Expensive but not too crowded during the day (weekday). It was super busy during the evening. We had a lot of fun. Lots of food, shops, shows and the rides.
Fun place to go.. like once a year. It's extremely pricey. You need to pay at the gate, pay for rides z pay for games, pay for food. Things add up.
Amazing place for a perfect date or
Family getaway
Affordable prices and nice range of food
Went for a visit to see the airshow and the CNE had a good time glad that we were able to reserve a scooter for accessibility issues a little over crowded at times but not surprised very disappointed that the food building has turned into a giant Food Court with national chains and very few independents from what we grew up with. Had difficulty navigating some things due to the major changes over the years
Always a great time at the CNE! Lots of walking but the deals and products offered make the walking marathon worth it.
A bit over priced for what is offered. Not enough seating in the food building but there are some interesting shows to see and some good bargains to find.
Always a great cap to the summer. We come for the different food experiences and for the midway games. Food, games and rides can be pricey and many places are cash only so bring it unless you like ATM fees. I like to take time off and come with my family during the week, still busy but not as crazy as the weekends.
I have been told that it's overcrowded and overpriced. Both are true. Yet we still come every year and always have a great time.
The CNE is a great annual adventure. Lots of unique food items, fun shows and neat exhibitions. They also have games and rides for all ages.
It can become quite costly but definitely worth it especially if you purchase the half day night tickets.
Park OUTSIDE the venue for affordable parking.
