i got the best deals with carp thru zenith and mcc...

i got the best deals with carp thru zenith and mcclellan..saved hundreds..dont know what happened with the other member, maybe he was nasty to them..they also have non carp clients and are strick with having your membership number to protect the group's rates.

So disappointed and distrustful of CARP Accounts. I did not find my membership of value to me so DID NOT RENEW this year. Despite this, my Visa has been charged for a renewal of 1 year plus Zoomer magazine. I have tried unsuccessfully to reach CARP by telephone, email and through their useless chat service to no avail whatsoever! I want this charge reversed immediately to my Visa!! It was charged without my consent on Nov 29, 2018. Interestingly, even though CARP 'took' my money, mycarp still indicates my subscription has expired - AS IT SHOULD have. There is no way to reach these people hence this review! Perhaps this public shaming will get a reply! Be careful seniors! CARP - you have my email address on file - I expect an immediate reply! UPDATE Dec 13, 2018: finally received an email reversing the charge.....but no apology or explanation of why I had no communication until posting a nasty review. And, I've never put a review like this on anyone's website before but that was all I could do.

The daily emails started almost immediately, I unsubscribed to everything and changed my profile for no contact. Yet they keep coming, today I get emails from CARP member companies an insurance company AND cell phone where they have shared my email address. I tried to get my money back after 2 weeks but was told that is a non-profit so cannot. I don't believe that. Do not sign up unless you are looking to fill your in basket.

My problem is that I paid my 3 year membership 5 m...

My problem is that I paid my 3 year membership 5 months early as I would be away. I was given a new number as if I hadn't been a member for over 25 years,and the renewal will be 5 months earlier than previously stated. I have tried numerous times to rectify this situation and now after receiving 2 magazines for the past 5 months it still has not been fixed.I probably will cancel my membership once expired as I have not received any service from carp other than the magazine,which I may or may not purchase.

I have now been a member over 7 months. I am also known as JOSIE ERENT and yes I do not recommend CARP and yes my earlier review is posted under this name.. Sure you will same money with some of the service providers but CARP does not monitor the level of service or the numerous complaints regarding their service provider partners who they clearly endorse. I am not certain why unless they are receiving some sort of financial compensation and do not want to jeopardize the service provider/CARP affinity partnership. I have contacted CARP several times by email and telephone and have never received a return phone call or return email. I do not feel that I am valued as a member but then most members are treated this way. I do not recommend the service and I am seriously considering not renewing my membership. I am very angry with the response from CARP this week in March 2019 considering their ridiculous media response to the Canadian Federal Budget announcement issued by Liberal MP Bill Morneau. We all fail as a society when a national organization and responsible companies and citizens do not speak up against an IRRESPONSIBLE and UNETHICAL Federal Government that is financially bankrupting Canada..We all fail as a society when seniors and retired individuals fail to protect all our citizens from an irresponsible, unaccountable government that is acts like a reckless, immoral government giving away Canadian Tax money to Countries outside Canada with interest. Shame on you CARP. You do not speak for me or countless Retired Canadian Citizens who are fed up with this irresponsible. federal government that is increasing poverty for all our citizens including the retired and elderly. We are also fed up with your lack of communication with your CARP members....Its time that you monitor the level of service of your endorsed service providers who offer and provide substandard service to your your Canadian CARP members Its time to take the CARP complaints of your service providers seriously. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOUR SERVICE. I have worked with US and Canadian Businesses for almost 30 years...The level of service from various national companies and banks is beyond terrible and in some cases illegal. We are seeing a Federal Government that is failing all Canadians while Large Companies and National Canadian Banks are breaking consumer and federal laws...Shame on YOU CARP for failing to protect CARP members and speaking out!!! Just because we are CARP members does not mean that we are senile or stupid.

I have been an on and off again member of CARP. I have just renewed and am extremely disappointed to learn that one of their "partners" (e.g. offers discounts to members) is Wyndham Resorts. This is the same company who willingly are participating in a time-share sham debacle at Carriage Hills Resort near Barrie Ontario. Why would CARP want to partner with an organization that is in bed with an industry that penalizes seniors, offering no way out of 20 year old time share contracts????? Shame on you!

Wish I could give a zero! They took my money immed...

Wish I could give a zero! They took my money immediately but when I asked where the card is, after waiting for 2 weeks, I was told it will be at least 4 weeks. Quick to take the money but slow to provide any benefit. I apparently can't even cancel for a refund until the card arrives. They will have had my money for 6 weeks and I have NOTHING

CARP is supposed to be accessible to it s members and subscribers... so why is there no telephone number to contact the call centre for assistance?

CARP can be a great service, but customer service they do not provide!

Based on the conversation I had today with the can...

Based on the conversation I had today with the cancellation person, I wish that I could give zero stars. Disgusting!!! He actually fought with me telling me that I had requested a service during a conversation I had with him in July, 2017. Do they think that we are seniors with dementia?? I am 58 and remember the conversation very well. I told him the same thing that I told him today. We did not sign up for long distance service and requested that they stop the service immediately. He applied pressure at that time and I agreed to consider the information that he had given me and get back to them if I decided to switch. The FIGHT, and I mean fight continued for 10 minutes until I asked to speak to his manager. He told me that the manager would get back to me within 48 hours. He also told me that my credit rating would be impacted if I did not pay the $46 that I have never been billed for. This outfit has a website that appears legit, but it has scam written all over it. Stay as far back as possible! I am totally comfortable providing this review in advance of speaking with the manager. The interaction with the person I spoke to today was the worst customer service experience that I have ever had.

It is ALL advertising insurance etc.

Just put a simple link on the page, to allow members to log in, and make it obvious.

Disgusting experience with CARP'S recommended Insurance company, Zenith/Mcllellan Group. These people should not have anything to do with seniors. They are just after our money, provide NO customer service, are rude and completely inconsiderate on the phone. STAY AWAY from CARP's recommendations. I switched to an independent insurance company, I am being treated like a human being, and my premium went DOWN almost $1200/ year. STAY AWAY from CARP's recommendations.
