Frankly,
I want to write dismaying ...
Reception more than disappointing, location and atmosphere of the campsite limit tense. In short, I stop there but I will never come back!

Very average campsite, unfriendly owners, access to accommodation very difficult (dusty dirt road). We pay for sheets that must be claimed 4 times and they throw the ball back when the requests are made. More hot water twice in 5 days in the collective showers. Watch out for a lot of mosquitoes!
Fortunately, the campsite is well located and the swimming pool is there.

Nice and quiet campsite, the staff is friendly, the campsite is located 500 meters from the beach, doable on foot.
The only disappointment, no small Corsican evening due to COVID, too bad.

Great time for a wedding, a great team, friendly, and a delicious meal. Thank you to your team of waiters and waitresses. See you soon

Acceptable. slow in cleaning the bathrooms in the morning and preparing breakfasts ... the location is comfortable. Paid Wifi. Mobile phones have very little field (if all goes well).
Price of the good stay. Suitable for families with children.

Stay in a mobil home 6 people for 15 days. Very good campsite with friendly staff, bar and restaurant very nice with fair prices. Very good beach of the nearby chevano with little affluence even in high season. The pool in anticipation for the next season will be a real plus. We recommend this campsite.

Nice campsite. Nice and well located campsite.
The only flaw was the somewhat dated and not always very clean sanitary facilities, especially the individual sinks.

We ve spent a really good time in Camping le Damier!
Really quiet and comfortable place for families and friends trips.
The bungalow well cleaned and barbecue outside.
The only problem we re the bed linen not included in the booking price, but either paper one(free) or real at 25 are available in order to help everyone without.

Stay in a chalet. We had a very nice chalet very functional staff. Listening and very responsive to needs camping well located near amenities only flat but independent camping lack of networks for phones but it allowed us to spend more time 'family so I recommend this campsite thank you to you

Arrived by bike late at night and left immediately in the morning: rocky pitches and not made for tents and rather unfriendly staff. Confusion with the address of the Marina di Cervi campsite which refers to the same owner on the site but which is not at the correct location on maps (which does not exist in fact, it is therefore necessary to descend ~ 120m towards the area where there are all the campsites to get them going uphill the next day)
Gas plant surely great for caravanning, not for camping, moreover you only have to count the number of tents ...

I confirm the previous comments, the reception is not very welcoming. Even if you have the impression of disturbing requests being processed.
We slept in a mobile home, it was very clean inside, the exterior maintenance is a little less good from weeds along the mobile home.
Old caravans give the impression of a cemetery for their old age.
The restaurant is ok.

Star only for placement. Non-existent cleaning. Services less than minimal.
Obstruction of the discharge to the camper, the water load only with canisters.

A magnificent stay despite an initial reservation concern settled in a very human and commercial way. The comments report work ... rest assured there is no noise pollution and are therefore almost complete for the next season. The grocery store deserves to be a little better stocked. The restaurant is good, moreover it is frequented by locals, a guarantee of quality. Quality level of reception, it is relaxed, family and very friendly overall. I recommend because excellent value for money, far from the tourist crowds and close to all places

Always nice. The campsite has improved again with its pool and restaurant. Near the Bruzzi a superb walk to do Chevanu beach and always so beautiful especially early in the morning when there is no one.

Camping that makes you want at first glance but very bad reception by the man at the reception who we waited a good fifteen minutes (the owner?): Told us without further explanation to go and fend for ourselves in the campsite to see if there would possibly be a location for us.
Being free to settle where we want is more of an advantage, but how can we find a place left to ourselves in a campsite that appears to be complete and with the impression of not being welcome?
Once we feel we can set up our tent on a piece of land, the gentleman does not bother to come back to the reception to check us in and watch us from a distance until we decide to- even to look elsewhere ...
The campsite 100m lower is suddenly much more welcoming

Wild boars in the campsite can surprise ... but it may be questionable contribution to the 3rd star of this campsite otherwise well placed for small coves

Camping quite clean (stay in mobile home ... clean also and well equipped because gas barbecue on the terrace) actually no animation in the campsite however a very good pizzeria. Supermarket corner to reach by car or bike there is the minimum vital. Too bad there is no pool in this campsite but despite all this we did not miss because there are beautiful beaches in South Corsica (Palonbaggia or Maora beach)

Quiet place at the beginning of the season. Very welcome. No Wi-Fi when the restaurant is not open damage. For holidaymakers of April and May. The mobile homes are well furnished.

Friendly staff, accommodation mobile home clean and functional. Swimming pool, reception and new restaurant so clean and spacious. We will come back with pleasure. A beautiful beach nearby.

Very good campsite, when I was there there was not yet the swimming pool, however I was marked by the restoration. Their pizzas are the best I have eaten in my whole life, and yet I have several pizzaiolo in my family.

Very disorganized, very dirty sanitary facilities, absolutely no light on the entire campsite including the sanitary facilities, which makes it difficult to use after sunset, only the restaurant is completely illuminated. Dogs run everywhere all the time. Rubbish is lying around absolutely not recommendable, the nearby beach unfortunately doesn't add value to the campsite either !!!

3RD YEAR AT THE DAMIER. For our third year at the campsite, we still appreciate:
-the shady and relatively "wild" locations,
-the proximity of the beaches,
- the restaurant which makes delicious pizzas,
-the simplicity of the teams which is apparently more and more important :)

We liked less:
- good sanitary conditions even if the campsite is improving from year to year,
- the inability to reserve a site online.

Superb stay. We only stayed a few days, but it was great. The staff are friendly and friendly, always attentive and do not hesitate to troubleshoot in case of problems. Pool near restaurant / bar, 10 minutes walk to the quiet, uncrowded beach. Perfect

Hello, I can not understand some negative comment about this campsite because I stayed there several years in canvas with my 3 children and we were very well received and all the staff were charming. We hope to return one day.

One star would still be well paid for this campsite. Inexorable, unworthy are the qualifiers that come to mind. Only one asset: shaded plots. Abandoned caravans everywhere, sanitary facilities from another age, gullied alleys. In short, no desire to make a stay in this place even for one night. I find it hard to understand that there are glowing reviews and the reason for the 3 star rating. The profession should clean up.
And to answer you, only the fact of going around the premises motivated my comment. I persist and I sign.

Very nice place, quite cozy and clean services. A few hundred meters from the sea.

Camping and friendly reception, clean and sufficient sanitary. Many caravans remain on site and are occupied in summer. Monitor the bill because tend to increase the amount of the pension ... In my case, I calculated 107 according to the table posted on the campsite and on the website (price 2019); I was initially asked 160 then it was pretended that the prices had not been updated following the work ...

The camping, which is close to Chevanu beach, has a comfortable pizzeria / restaurant where we very much like to go. It only opens during the summer season and in the evening though. The pizzaiolo is one of the kind, the genuine kind, and the pizzas are truly really excellent. The place is serviced mostly by members of the family running the business. Service is friendly and efficient. A vegetarian will have a very pleasant meal by ordering from the pizzeria's menu (the restaurant's menu is for flesh eaters only). To make things even more pleasant, our dogs are allowed to stay with us on the large patio. This is the place to go if you want to enjoy a tasty genuine pizza.

A campsite that perfectly reflects (southern) Corsica.
We will definitely be back.

Typical Corsican camping, very spartan even if provided with the best pizzeria in the area and a swimming pool

Good ... but we have to improve !!. A pleasant moment! The toilets themselves are clean and the man in charge of the household is in charge! However, I had to share a toilet with 2 pieces of paper that did not budge during the entire stay ...
we regret the lack of security lighting at night (a few luminous bollards that would avoid twisting your ankles in the middle of the night)
A little more extensive maintenance in the pre-season for tents (Bengalis) that are not "green" ...
and a development of the paths by creating channels to avoid slipping on the sand ... (several campers fell, as well as several cars and at least two motorcycles ...)
You can think of improving the kitchen area (standardize the cutlery. Provide a barbecue area ?!)

Here, only one conviction:
Make every cm2 profitable!
If they could put us in the parking lot or on the roadside .... they would have done it!
Because of this, overcrowded camping with the inconveniences that go with ....
Sanitary constantly full and dirty.

I do not recommend in high season!
They will have no qualms about setting up another family on the site you already occupy!

I do not recommend. The very unfriendly reception man (owner ??) did not explain the conditions well and called us insulting that we had run away the day we left he went to see another customer and did not tell us that he had to check the house before we went. I would like to charge an extra 50 euros for cleaning the house. We arrived almost midnight and the house didn't even have toilet paper, sponge and washing up liquid or matches to light the stove. We had a baby and we couldn't even heat the water. Beds without a sheet and towels must be paid in part per day. The prefabricated house was very clean and has the disadvantage of being very exposed to the sun. Corsega is so beautiful but the man at the reception managed to spoil some of our stay with his bad mood.

Funny welcome Despite a very disappointing welcome (staff at the bar, who ignored us, who were not in a hurry and with derogatory remarks), the accommodation met expectations with a satisfactory quality / price ratio

A natural place and a Kenya tent that totally disintegrates. 2 minutes from a huge, wild beach, with beautiful coves. This campsite is for travelers who love nature and calm. The tent is comfortable and well laid out. Just think for the chilly to take sleeping bag or just cover the cushions are provided. In the campsite a restaurant is open in high season.

Quiet but uncared for campsite with dirty services but with hot water! Good restaurant with excellent pizza made by Pasquale! Big lack: without credit cards and debit cards, only cash payment! Absurd! Ground full of holes and without lighting! But for all this a splendid sea with wonderful beaches pays off!

LE DAMIER FAMILY CAMPSITE. For several years, I have been coming to this campsite;
Staff and managers are helpful, always present, and in a good mood;

Very satisfied with the improvements made each year for the quality of the campsite;
The infrastructure is of fairly good quality; the sea is nearby; Figari aerodrome is close;

We spent two pleasant weeks in this simple, shaded campsite, always hot shower and very good pizzas at the restaurant, it is also well located for visiting southern Corsica all for a reasonable price. On the other hand, the owners are not very welcoming

The worst campsite of our stay in Corsica, to avoid! Sanitary dirty, hot water intermittently, everything is invaded by stinging caterpillar. And the highlight of the show, odious owner.

Camping very good, quite calm. Mobile home new and air conditioned. Restaurant of very good quality. To know little animation in the evening. As far as I'm concerned, it suits me.

I support the last comments on this campsite and confirms: invasion of processionary caterpillars, caravans dozens abandoned. Camping in construction! Toilet dirty and overgrown with insects. Nonchalant and fugitive owners. Since the toilets are unusable qq campers who get themselves relieve themselves between the camping places. So it's also invaded by .... <br/> To report to the authorities .... sleazy activity ... because the bar is brand new and the restaurant is impeccable to receive the "bosses"

Campsite 1km away from the sea. On the other hand there is the swimming pool ... not large but definitely refreshing. 3 bathroom blocks with showers, but they do not have plugs to connect razors or hairdryers, not very suitable for attic campers (only under the sun) to unload kimico wc only a bathroom a little distant ... loading unloading I did not find any ... the beach can be reached on foot along the main road

Good campsite, well located for visiting the south of Corsica. Camping rather family.

We got here because other hotels were full ... the structure of assets was very new and clean, but they made place with the mini van in a large space a bit 'sunny because the pitches were for tents.

Caring staff or not depending on the customer's head. We go all the way. Unfortunately, with us the owners were nonchalant, not at all helpful. One was even asleep in front of his screen on our arrival (belated but announced, namely that the bar closes at 23h every day) We are told not to have to book the sheets in advance, and yet once there they must be claimed 4 times. There was only one blanket for 4 people. So not really monitoring of developments. The road and winding and sloping to access the tents and it is necessary to go down to access the WC which are all almost in the same place.
Only the pool is good and the pizzeria.

Arrived late, the hostess told us that there was room and invited us to look for a place by ourselves. After touring the campsite twice, we couldn't find a pitch that was flat or had the capacity to accommodate a two-person tent and a car.
We returned to the reception to let them know about our findings. They seemed totally indifferent, did not care about a kind reception towards us and did not seem to know the availability of their campsite. The checkerboard is aptly named, we are just pawns.

Good campsite ideal for visiting the south of Corsica, 30 minutes from Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio.

Overall a little disappointed with this establishment. The reception is a bit rustic (even downright), and the pizzas are not as good as we expected despite high prices. The rating would undoubtedly be better if the reception had been too.

Nice campsite, difficult internal access, a little chaotic pitches, average toilet facilities. No evening entertainment, minimum mini-market for breakfast, nice bar and wood-fired pizzeria.
The owners are nevertheless friendly and helpful

A pleasant week in a very clean mobile home. Friendly staff. Quiet campsite with swimming pool equipment and new restaurant bar. Good pizzas and bar prices make it possible to please the whole family without breaking the bank beautiful beaches 2 min by car (15 on foot)

The campsite is not at all aware of how many people there are. They let me run with my car in their battered and sloping roads, eventually finding no location because we were eight and there were only small spots. If you have the choice, do 100m more to go to Camping Kevano, which is not more expensive and much more fun !!

A family campsite A very friendly welcome and a perfect setting to unwind away from the crowds. Very good situation to avoid the haemorrhage of the too coveted places. Here the ideal setting for wild beaches.

As already mentioned, disorganized, we had to look for a place ourselves. The boss is completely unmotivated. When we were halfway up the boss came and asked us to move, as a larger group would need the space. The sanitary facilities are just disgusting, they are never cleaned, just sprayed with the hose. The toilets are often clogged and do not flush. There is practically no washbasin except for dishes and laundry. And it stinks everywhere, like garbage, sewage or faeces. Please don't do this to yourself!

What can we say about this campsite ... a caravan cemetery ... the campsite is not very well maintained ... the sanitary facilities are completely obsolete ...

The only positive point is its restaurant.
The pizzas are very good. The dining room is very pleasant.

Michele I. my experience at Camping Le Damier. All in all positive, beautiful place immersed in the green of cork trees, around a wild nature, wonderful sea, breathtaking views! Thirteen days of walking paths and beautiful beaches. Beautiful bays with a variety of very beautiful colors both in the water and on the beaches. Detoxified from mobile phones and the internet, thirteen days without technology of any kind only nature, nature and nature. If there were cleaner toilets at this campsite, it would be an ideal campsite for nature lovers.

A SHAME for the image of Corsica.
The worst campsite of our stay in Corsica, to avoid absolutely!
Toilets invaded by stinging caterpillars (supposedly it's everywhere in Southern Corsica, I deduce that the one located only a few kilometers away must be in Norway?), The campsite is worse than a booming construction site.

I came to spend a night, despite everything I asked if it was possible to rent a mobile home ... two nights minimum or nothing, and a smirk in response.

We spent 3 weeks at this campsite.
The +:
- new and clean mobile home
- location close to beaches and main tourist attractions
- very good pizzas
- the waitresses and gentlemen of the kitchen very welcoming and pleasant, attentive to the needs of customers
- games for children (slide)
- Franck, a man who manages the campsite. Very nice !

The - :
- we did not appreciate the attitude of the owners who are not very helpful and not very polite ... the management of the restaurant is very poorly done, they are running and shouting in front of the customers, not very pleasant ..
- no entertainment for children or adults on the campsite .. we visited other campsites and there was a real desire to get to know the people of the campsite while here no desire to have parties, games, or bring the children together around the activities in the campsite.
- rather small pool and not enough sun loungers.
- a lot of wasps

We recommend for the location and for the cleanliness, but we suggest the bosses to review their way of welcoming customers and to make a little effort on politeness because we really have the impression of disturbing them when we go. ask or buy something ..

We could not go because no location available. The locations are very close to each other. Swimming pool very pretty. Near a very pretty beach. I wanted to leave a comment to thank the gentleman at the reception who despite the high season and the world in his campsite did everything to find a solution. Very nice so a big thank you to him even if we did not find at home.

Not great experience at all. Avoid camping space close by the restaurant/reception as the employees make a lot of noise after their shift, there are some works taking place close to the restaurant as well. Facilities not clean and reception staff is always difficult to catch at the reception/they don't seem to be well organised. After sharing our feedback, we did get a partial refund. I hope they improve their service and facilities.
