We had our wedding at Camp Navarro in September. Although the venue itself is beautiful and incredible, the management and organization of the property is horrendous. They took weeks to return our emails, they had terrible communication with us and there was poor internal communication amongst their own staff. On multiple occasions they promised they would get back to us regarding inventory of supplies but then never followed through, making us spend more money on rentals than necessary. They state that a wedding coordinator is included; however, this is a very loose term, and it is more just a point person who will communicate with the outside wedding coordinator that you hire separately. They didn t give us much input about what people who had had weddings there before us did so our planning started from scratch. There was essentially no help with setup/break down (except one woman named Nedjma who was very helpful).
The food was delicious but we were going off faith because they don t allow you to do any tastings and your only option is to use their catering. Luckily Chef Mitch is actually really good and exceeded our expectations.
It was pretty awesome to have the whole property to ourselves and have all of our friends and family stay onsite in the cabins and glamping tents.
In the end, our wedding was great but Camp Navarro staff made wedding planning very stressful.

Let me start by saying Mendocino is special place so in turn Camp Navarro is a special place. My wife and I had our wedding there and everything was pretty amazing except for a few bumps in the road. Skip made sure everything we needed was available and some. Hat's off to Skip.

After our wedding was done we were supposed to get a refund from money Camp Navarro had held as a third party from guest that had paid on their site. To our surprise not only did they no return our $18,000.00 plus dollars they some how billed us for labor that had never been discussed. We were billed $25 an hour for parking attendants that we never had, unless you count 9 and 10 year olds holding signs (which I am pretty sure is illegal). Or if you count paying $250 for a coffee service and then charging us $30 an hour for somebody to make the coffee and stand around. Also the owner charged us for his time as well as charging us overtime. I own a business and I would never charge somebody hourly on top of my fee or my wife for that matter (which they did).

I would recommend Mendocino but I would not recommend Camp Navarro as a place to do business.

Love, love, love Camp Navarro immensely. In fact, if I wasn t already married, I would Get married there. It s beauty is breathtaking. So very magical and filled with positive, nurturing and grounding energy. A place everyone should have the pleasure of experiencing at some point in their lifetime. Oh and there are endless fairy houses (or waiting to be fairy houses) under every tree. Love this place to the core!

Guys, do not go there, it's a trap! I came, the chief comes to me and says that I have lost something there and now must work for them 510 years! This is a real story, I'm writing from a rotorcraft!

This place is pretty magical. I was here for an event by The Outpost Trade and had a chance to explore the grounds. I also heard it used to be a boy scout camp back in the day so there are tons of hiking trails and activities to keep you busy. The cabins are pretty rustic and it does get very cold at night (I m talking 40 degrees) so I would recommend packing very warm clothes and sleeping bags.

I came here from Europe to take part in a very special and magical event, the location is absolutely fantastic and the facilities are adequate for people bringing their own tents or using the open Adirondack cabins. Apparently for our event host the event was a success and they are going to repeat it this year.

Give it back to B.S.A. and quit letting these stupid hipsters use it to take a break from their smartphones and tablets. Boys should be learning to be men here, like i did 5 years in a row in the 90's.
