This is a great place. My son attended lions camp here & liked it.
The green pool was confusing, was it dyed that color or is it horrible algea? Other than that fantastic place to camp, came here for ROCKFEST 2018
Beautiful, clean, and safe place. Everyone is friendly!
Amazing. I went to lions camp here and had a lot of fun
Overall a really friendly place to be, the only problem is that there was one mean kid and me and him wanted to wrestle and I broke my collarbone.
Had a wonderful stay.
The cabins were more than enough, spacious, air conditioned.
The Zurts were likewise,a great party setting, accomidating for a group of any size.
Staff was curtious and quick with help for any needs or questions.
GREAT STAY.
It's really nice & clean, employees are very friendly & helpful.... looks like a fun, safe place.
I had such a great time here this weekend at Sugar Creek Family Jam..Great campground, loved it as always!!
Lady camp in the yurt we had a great time and cozy with the cast iron stove . Great place for adult camp!
Food is good. Place did short change me and some other camoers though.
We had our wedding here three years ago. It was a fun and incredible weekend. Our friends still talk about it, and we feel so lucky to have found this place and these people to host our wedding weekend. I can't recommend them enough!
Both owners live there during the camp with their families. Dan and Andy sincerely love children. Amazing food, awesome staff, and a "free range" approach to summer camp for kids. (Yurts are the cabins)
Went ti the Sugar Creek Music Festival there. What a GREAT experience. A must for music lovers
Really special camp for all kids. Happens to be great for hearing impaired and sight impaired kids (Camp Lions).
Very Clean and Well Kept Property! Lake where kayaks and canoes are launched could be maintained but over all very nice.
Awesome place, had fun with family over the weekend. Nice and quiet place. Staff was very friendly and easy going.
We sent our daughter to camp manitowa last year - she has a number of special needs including verbal problems and depression. She enjoyed it, but had a lot of trouble adjusting, told me she spent a lot of time alone (skipping events and no one noticed) and came home with impetigo. We didn t complain. This year we were going to send her again to help her social skills and so I communicated with the owner about her special needs in advance. The night before she was due to leave for camp the counselor called to tell my 12 year old she would be bunking with two girls who told the counselor they don t like my daughter (these same girls bullied my daughter in school). The only option they offered as a solution was for my daughter to room with kids who are not her age. So, knowing my daughter s social issues and problems with self advocacy, I kept her home. Camp manitowa is now keeping my money- a lot of money- despite the fact that the other girls had the problem, they were going to isolate my kid, they offered no advice on how they would help protect my daughter, and they weren t reachable to discuss the issue the night before camp. I was a prosecutor for 10 years specializing in crimes against children. I give presentations all over the country to youth serving organizations on how to prevent childhood sexual abuse and bullying- this place thinks that free range child care is good enough. It s not.
Went to a music festival. Forced to camp in the gravel parking lot.
We brought our camp of 24 campers and we all had an amazing time. That staff were exceptionally well and a great place to learn to be a counselor as they had many in training. The food was super delicious and service was great. We enjoyed crafts, swimming in the lake and pool, And working our way through the high course with a zip line at the end. Brehm enjoyed the whole day experience. THANK YOU CAMP MANITOWA..... We will be back.
Kid friendly, safe, clean, great atmosphere, friendly staff, the owners are very involved an stay on top of things. Plus always willing to answer any questions you may have.
Always an amazing experience. Just being there feels like home
My son enjoys these adventures so much so I hear about it all year long. He makes new friends and looks forward to seeing old returning friends too. His confidence and self esteem matures with each camp session. I'm ever grateful for all they do for each camper.
We stayed in one of the yurts for a music festival and it was fabulous. SO much room in the yurt and very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!
Absolutely astounding cannot wait to go back. Beautiful and cozy
I just came back from a big family event at Camp Manitowa. It was super, great fun in a beautiful part of IL. Adults and kids lived it equally. owners Andy and Stephanie were fabulous. I would highly recommend it to families for weddings, reunions, bar mitzahs or any event.
I love CAMP MANITOQUA i go every year and it makes me so happy :):):)
Amazing, best summer camp I've been to I love this place and all the people.
The campgrounds worked well for a live music event that I attended. Overall a nice park.
It was great the food was good the activities were fun my favorite was the ropes course the cabins are really nice the staff are friendly except RJ was pretty rude. I had a great time and I hope a lot of other people go to that camp.
Loved it, I went here during the sugar creek family jam.
