Camp Kinneret Review

Camp Kinneret has been an amazing experience for my nine year old son. He is a returning camper with this being his third year at Camp Kinneret and enjoys it every time! Some of the things that make me love it so much are from the safe bus rides to and from camp, knowing that my son is safe to having outdoor adventures, and learning new things with games that stimulate his imagination, meeting new people and is able to experience new experiences. My son loves the outdoor activities such as archery, boating and swimming. He has absolutely loved experiencing the Kinneret sleepout. The counselors are fun, caring and nurturing and give each child their attention. & this is why we keep choosing Camp Kinneret summer after summer.

Amazing, magical and outstanding! Both of my boys had so much fun, made valuable friendships, were engaged, learned and grew in so many ways. I am writing this review now as I reflect where I was last January looking for a summer camp for my boys. There are many camps out there and I looked at them all (yes, I am that person!). Most are just a way to babysit the kids over the summer. No camp teaches and advances the kids like Kinneret. Science, nature, sports, swim, animals, hikes, adventure -- the famed lemonade tower -- my boys are still talking about the activities as well as the counselors who are kind, well trained and fun. As my kids say "best summer ever!"

Camp Kinneret is such a special place, and what really differentiates it is the staff and leadership team who create a nurturing, creative, and fun environment. As a former camper and now parent of two Kinneret campers, I know that my daughters will have an amazing experience with a very traditional summer camp program, incredible staff, a safe environment, and fun activities.

Great experience. So many activities, great outdoor fun, staff is wonderful. Can t say enough good stuff about their summer program.

The staff is amazing, even down to how they call you should an incident arise. Everyone made my son feel welcome, special and they were beyond accommodating. If I had to go to Camp as a kid, I d want to go to Camp Kinneret.

Kinneret has been an absolutely amazing experience for my son and daughter. I think one of the things that makes me love it so much is the connection to nature. It is a beautiful setting and the kids are surrounded by trees and hills with a wide variety of outdoor activities and games that stimulate their imaginations - things that are sometimes lost in the world of fast paced technology. I also love that there is such a strong focus on leadership, exploration and creative collaboration my husband and I believe in those values and finding a camp that nurtures those traits in children is wonderful. There is also such a variety of activities that my kids are always stimulated my son loves the archery and the boating and can t wait for high ropes. My daughter loves the crafts and the animals. They both love the swimming. And I can t write a review without mentioning the counselors and Ryan, the director. Right away when we met some of the counselors at a school event, I was very impressed. The counselors are so fun and caring and yet also command respect, so it never feels unsafe or out of control. The kids are in fairly small groups with a lot of attention to each child s personality. My son is slow to warm at first but loves anything sports related and I loved how the counselor knew exactly how to bring him into the group and help him feel confident. My daughter on the other is quite social and within a day was already in complete admiration of her counselors and they had a great fun rapport all summer. That says a lot about the selection process and the training. Ryan always has a smile on his face and just seems to genuinely love his job. It feels like home for us in the summer and we are so happy to have found Kinneret. At this point, my kids don t want to go anywhere else and ask me all year long if they get to go again!

My 6 year old son went to Camp Kinneret for the first time last year. He absolutely LOVED IT! He is returning for another summer this season and he can't wait. All the staff are fabulous. The Director, Ryan, takes such great care of new mamas and makes them feel at ease. Even though my son was going to camp and riding the bus for the first time I was confident that the staff would take great care of my child. And the experience for both camper and parent was amazing! Camp Kinneret you are doing everything right!!! Thank you!!!

I am beyond impressed with Camp Kinneret and the entire staff! I was reluctant to send my 4 year old to camp, thinking he was too young, but the second I met Ryan, I knew he would be in good hands. The counselors are so well trained and the entire staff is really looking out for the individual needs of each child. My son has severe food allergies so leaving him a new environment can be scary for us. Everyone at CK went above and beyond to make sure that our boy was safe and that we all felt comfortable. And our son loved every minute of camp! We are already looking forward to next year. I can't say enough good things about this magical place.

My daughter has truly had the best summers of her little life at Camp Kinneret - she asks me practically every day through the school year "when do I get to go back to Camp Kinneret?" (especially as we see the lemonade tower off the freeway every day)! She adores her counselors, all of the activities, swimming every day, the bus rides to and from camp, and teaching her little sisters all of the songs and games that she learns at camp. The staff was wonderful when we went to an Open House a couple years ago, we were blown away by the quality of the experience they would offer our kids and they did not disappoint. Thank you Camp Kinneret!

Camp Kinneret is a dream come true for kids and parents! My shy, hesitant 6 year old enjoyed his first summer at camp last year (then 5yo). He showed up the first day not knowing anyone and came home raving about his funny counselor and new friends. He rode his first horse, hiked all the way to the lemonade tower, and learned to swim all thanks to camp. Even more important than those adventures, is what Camp Kinneret did for his self image. His confidence and independence grew enormously over the summer. The staff is caring and attentive. They take the time to get to know each child and cultivate friendships within the group. Additionally, I never worried about safety on the bus, at the pool, or playing around camp. The well-thought-out safety procedures for each element are clear, practiced, and effective. My son is ecstatic to be returning this summer and have his little sister join him!

Knowing that our children will be safe, nurtured, have outdoor adventures, learn new things, meet new people, make lifelong friends and experience new experiences, is EXACTLY what Camp Kinneret is all about & why we choose it summer after summer!!! Thank you Camp Kinneret and ALL it's staff for bringing us back year after year, it's because of you and your programs that we are Camp Kinneret Lifers!!

My kid loved the animals! Grounds were very clean. Seems like it's run by a very responsible team.
