I don't normally leave reviews, but, long story short, I brought my car in to the Camelback Kia dealership after a mechanic told me my car needed a new engine due to some damage to a part they couldn't order. Instead of taking me for my money's worth (which could've been an extra $600-$1000 in their pocket), the service technicians were able to repair the damage for a reasonable price. Again, I don't know much about cars and it shows--Adrian Jaramillo took the time to explain the details to me, and was completely up-front and honest. You don't feel like you're being taken advantage of here, which is beyond rare.

Buying a new car is stressful. Erwin was our sales guy and was great. Kat was absolutely amazing at helping us with the finance part. Our situation wasn't the best and a past experience at another dealership made me stand offish and not the most pleasant person to deal with. They however held their composure and treated my wife and I with professionalism and respect the whole visit. They worked hard to get me the best deal on the car we wanted. I highly recommend asking for Erwin when going to buy your new car as he was very patient and understanding. Had we worked with a typical arrogant sales person we would have left with nothing. Thank you Camelback Hyundai for helping my wife and I as well as having an amazing team to work with.

Bunch of scammers and time wasters. I called them today from Flagstaff and asked about the 2016 Kia Rio w/ 7k miles on it. They said I could come in it was ready outside. I arrived and salesperson said the car was unsafe to drive and removed from the lot. They said "Don't worry I have another car to show you". Idiots I left Flagstaff to see THAT particular car... DO NOT TRUST these guys, I'm forwarding this complaint to their upper management.

Took my car here after taking it to Chapman a total of 7 times and Chapman could not find the source of the leak. After bringing it here, they were able to diagnose it after just 15 minutes. Thank you for helping me. I will be buying my next Hyundai here!

In addition, the manager worked with me to find a price I was comfortable with. Yannick was a pleasure to do business with. I would return to Camelback Hyundai in the future.

We purchased vehicle from them almost 3 years ago. No issues with the car. Also looks like they service it well. But their sales department is a nightmare. They can call you at 8pm on a Labor day with their offers to trade in your car. I asked them like 5 times already to remove my phone number from their call list. Looks like I'm not the only person who did it. But they still keep calling me again and again with some new dummy sale points. Extremely annoying.

I had a GREAT experience here at Camelback Hyundai. My sales rep was Joel and he helped me out tremendously right off the bat with all my questions, he was very knowledgeable and honest. He gave me a great price on my car and was very patient with me. I drove away in my brand new Elantra the happiest I have ever been with no regrets. I recommend Camelback Hyundai and I recommend Joel.

They have no intention on selling vehicles for listed price. After I talked to customer service director about price of vehicle changing, I was referred back to sales director who said he honor the price but added $1100 in made up fees for dealer prep, seperate from your traditional doc fee.

Too busy. Oil change was scheduled to take 1.5 hours, but took over 2 hours without any status updates or communication as I waiting in the waiting room. It was disappointing. Oversaturated, understaffed, you don't want to spend 2 hours waiting here.

Camelback Hyundai has been an absolute nightmare from day one. We didn t have a good experience buying the car (which the sales guy apologized for) and we haven t had a good experience with their service department. Our AC has had problems since 2 months after owning the vehicle. The vehicle has been into their service department no less than 10 times the last 2 years for the same issue. Well they said a rock hit our AC condenser and it s not under warranty, I had another mechanic look at it and it wasn t even cracked therefore it should be under warranty. They are slimy, and will do everything they can to get out of fixing your vehicle even under warranty. Do yourself a favor and BUY ELSEWHERE. This place does not treat their customers right!!!

Horrible experience!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! I had been talking to Ron one of the sales associates about purchasing a 2015 Sonata with a popular equipment package. He was a great guy, and he went out of his way to work with me to brokerage a deal. I wasn't in a hurry to buy, but I told him I was going to be a cash buyer. About 5 days into negotiations (all over the phone) one of his Sales Managers Brandon decided to take over for him with making a deal.

I informed Brandon that I had been given an offer of $19k out the door by San Tan Hyundai but since it was Camelback Hyundai who I originally started went though I wanted to know if they would be willing to match that price. He put me on hold for about 2 minutes and then told me "yes we will do that deal", we agreed I would bring cash the following morning. I decided to call back at 7pm to ensure that the deal would in fact be possible. The associate I spoke with informed me that Brandon was busy closing another deal, but that he was their sales manager so if $19k was the price agreed upon that would be the price I would get.

The following morning was chaos, firstly they didn't have the Sonata we agreed upon in stock and tried to sell me another model, a Sonata Sport for $6k more. Then Brandon tried to explain to me that there were certain fees needing to be added on to our $19k out the door price not previously mentioned. I explained to him that that was unacceptable and I had already driven 45 minutes out to their location from Gilbert based upon the deal brokered the night before. I informed him that as promised I had the $19k in cash on hand.

After that Brandon the Camelback Hyundai sales manager just left. He sent out his assistant managers to talk to me to "break down the numbers", then grabbed his keys and left the dealership driving away in his car. I didn't see him for the remaining 2 hours I was at the dealership. While everyone else tried to make a deal happen they never got below $20k and I ended up leaving.

When I asked why Brandon couldn't come talk to me himself and admit fault on his end, I was told that he doesn't have the best attitude and is embarrassed. That is not the point, I understand it is embarrassing when mistakes are made, but apart of being an adult and being in a leadership role is about taking responsibility for mistakes, and not pawning off the negative aspects of our duties on subordinates.

Brandon nor any of his supervisors took any accountability for his actions. They only tried to sweep the situation under the table to broker a new more expensive deal. Hyundai is a great brand, and my sales associate Ron was exceptional, but the manager Brandon was not upfront, or honest and in my opinion he lacked leadership qualities.

I have no problem paying $20k or more for a vehicle, the price isn't the point of this review, it is based upon the character of the management of the dealership. Having worked in the Auto industry for over 10 years in either a technician, management, or sales capacity this is one situation where it should have been less about the money and more about maintaining the integrity of the dealership.

After writing my initial review, I was reached out to promptly by Cameron Williams at the corporate offices of Berkshire Hathaway Automotive. Cameron did a great job empathizing with my situation and committed to working with the dealership to ensure it is not repeated with other customers.

Cameron's responsiveness, ownership, and commitment to resolving this issue reflect the integrity that I associate with the Berkshire name.

He worked to fully resolve my complaint to my satisfaction and more importantly, his actions show that his company cares about service recovery and treating people right.

BUYERS BEWARE. If you are reading this, you will hopefully avoid the same mistakes we made. If you are going to buy a car, make sure to do your homework, not just on the vehicle and pricing you are looking for, but make sure you find a REPUTABLE dealer, and work to negotiate fairly. Don't let yourself get bullied and if you see red flags or feel uncomfortable at any time, have the courage to walk out. No matter how good of a job your salesperson does, it is not worth it to do business with a company that has a poor track record resolving disputes and complaints. Check BBB scores (F at time of writing) and reviews here and on yelp. We did not think to do this prior to giving our business to this dealer, and we deeply regret it. We paid for it in time, energy, stress, and our pocket books (although I am not claiming we were ripped off by any means. We had to work hard to make sure we weren't).

This was the worst purchasing experience at a dealership we've ever had. I don't fault them for playing the typical sales games and inflating sticker prices with FMV adjustments, because I've seen other dealers do this too. But some of the conduct we witnessed was appauling. An employee storming through the lobby muttering "f***** retard" about who knows what. A customer next to us shouting about how he just wanted his keys back so he can leave. Badgering people to buy gap insurance and in house warranty coverage with multiple salesman after repeated no's, when they had the opportunity to win service business down the road if they backed off. And then acting offended when NO was the final answer.

But the most disturbing thing is the employees that take pride in mentioning they are owned by Berkshire Hathaway, as if this somehow lends credibility to the dealership. The business practices I witnessed certainly don't seem to align with the high standard of ethics that Berkshire is known for. Even though they are just one of 81 dealerships bought out by Berkshire, I can't imagine Warren Buffett being pleased if he were a fly on the wall for a day at this place. The Berkshire Nissan and Toyota dealerships right next door both receive A's on BBB, in stark contrast to the F put up by Camelback Hyundai. Even if this was due to poor business practices prior to the buyout, there are plenty of recent bad reviews to show that it hasn't changed much.

I hope management takes note of this and comes up with a plan to change the culture of this place so that employees and customers alike are treated with respect. It's too late for us, so my only hope is that future customers don't have to endure what we did.

It took from 9am till 4:30. But it was soooo worth it. These guys here really work for the customer. The go above and beyond. Make the car buying experience worth it. I would highly recommend Kass and Joel to anybody looking for a new , new used, or used. These men are amazing.

April 10th, 2020, My Grandmother Irene and myself ...

April 10th, 2020, My Grandmother Irene and myself went to Camelback Hyundai in central Phoenix to see the Hyundai Tucson ( dusk blue) to discuss purchase options. I originally spoke to internet Manager Sawyer, who kindly answered all my questions and also introduced me to floor salesman Erik, who also was very professional ,very knowledgeable about the vehicle we interested in and after showing us the vehicle , took us for a test drive. That's all it took for my grandmother and myself to move forward with the purchase process and about an hour or so later , we were on our way home in our all new ,2020 Hyundai Tucson Se. I had a wonderful experience a ,the staff at Camelback Hyundai really treat you with great positive energy and made our first Hyundai purchase a special day to remember, always.
Once again I'd like to thank Sawyer, as well as our salesman erik, who did a Fantastic job ,I am definitely a Satisfied customer and would recommend Camelback Hyundai to all my friends and family, it's a great place, great friendly environment.

Where they lost my business for now on is when they started blowing up my phone and email after I said I m not interested and I m going to another dealership who has a better price. They called every half hour for the 8 hrs I was at work and emailed at the same time. I opt out of the email but couldn t with the phone calls. I will not do business here.

My salesperson Carlos was the best, He was so patient with me. I can be a bit ( ok alot ) of a pain. He kept his cool even thou I was not easy to work with. My experience was more than I expected. The sales managers were so nice to deal as well as finance. My experience was an amazing and I will tell all my friends to go see Carlos. He really is a hard worker.

We just bought our 2nd car from Camelback Hyundai. We now have 2 Elantra Limited models. 2017 and 2018.

We returned to Camelback Hyundai because our first experience was fantastic. We received excellent customer service again. Trey Stautberg, Unique, Dakota in finance, the multiple Mikes, Tammy, and Pedro in service.

They have new owners and it shows. They are putting the customer first in my opinion. I would recommend them if you need a vehicle.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!! They will harass you continuously after you buy. They do not listen or care. We bought a car in 2015 and moved out of state. We have asked over 2 dozen (documented) times to be removed from the calling list. We don't live in the state. They just keep calling. I told the last guy I lived in another state and he suggested that I buy a car and they ship it. Take your money somewhere else to someone who won't actually live up to the slimeball car salesman standard!!!

UPDATE: AFTER they even posted that they have removed my information, I've received 2 calls in the past week. Clearly they don't know how to honor anything they say. You were warned.....

This location has a decent collection of vehicles to choose from. Mitch, a salesman at this location, really made me feel comfortable and I didn't feel like I was being pestered to buy just any car. He understood that I needed a car that fit me and my needs and helped me to find it. Not only that but, he was highly knowledgeable and was able to answer all of the questions I had. I'm glad I decided to come to this dealership and I will be coming here again.

I purchased a vehicle on Saturday from this dealership. Was told it needed service and could possibly be ready that evening but if not, then Monday for sure. The evening came and went and no one from the dealership or the service department called me to let me know the status of my newly purchased vehicle. On Monday, I expected to receive a call saying my car was ready for pickup as I had been told, but that call never came and I ended up having to call several times and was eventually placed on hold because no one could even determine where the vehicle was! After several minutes on hold I was told it was at the auto body shop, even though it only required a new windshield but no other body work, and that it would not be ready until Tuesday. Well, Tuesday came and went and I again did not receive a single phone call from the dealership or the service department as to the status of my vehicle. I again had to call several times because no one would answer the phone so after 7 times someone finally answered and said the service department manager would call me back later. Well since the device department closes at 6PM and no one called me until 7:22PM (and didn t leave a message btw) I could pretty much assume I wasn t getting my car that day either. I then got a text message from the dealership saying my car was in service, something I should have received way earlier. Finally, the salesman called me and said he was sorry but the car wouldn t be ready until midday Wednesday. I am writing this review Wednesday morning so we ll see if they follow through...
I understand some vehicles require inspections and maintenance before releasing but what I just can t comprehend is why there is such an unprofessional lack of communication between the service department, the sales department, and the consumer. I felt good about my experience when I left the dealership but all of that has gone away and all I m left with now is a complete lack of good faith in this business and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I thought the price was to good to be true. I still see the car posted all over the web as well so it seems like a bait and switch was used to get me in the door. I won't be doing business with them.

I purchased a 2017 Elantra in Oct 2017. I needed a new car badly. They gave me a fair price and value for my trade in. I didn't love the Elantra, but it's what I could afford. They sales team suggested that I drive the car for a year, make sure to make payments on time and get my credit score up a bit and come back to see them after the year was up and they'd help me get the car I really wanted. I returned with my Elantra after speaking with Ben (I believe he's one of the sales managers). Tammy showed me the 2018 Sonata and I loved it. They worked up the numbers and the payment was much more than I could afford. As I walked out to my car both Tammy and Ben followed me out. I explained that I had done what they suggested and I felt like it was their turn to make it right. Ben called me the next afternoon and offered me the 2018 Sonata for what I was asking. When I picked it up, Rob helped me with paperwork and Tyree in finance made signing all of the documents quick and painless. Thank you to Tammy, Ben, Rob and Tyree. You all lived up to your word and helped me get into the car I truly wanted in a courteous and professional manner without being high pressure. I have already recommended Camelback Hyundai to friends and family. Thank you again!!!!

How many times can one do business with auto dealership and have the most fantastic experience, My experience with Camelback Hyundai Sales Department and sales people, Scott Monteiro and Bernie were exceptional. Professional and respectful. Everyone greets me greets me as they walk by me. Makes me feel part of the family. Mike Heard and his team are polite, respectful and eager to do the right thing every time. Yes, not just the first visit, but every visit! The treatment I had with Bernie and Scott made them my first thought when my neighbors, friends and families needed a cars. I would strongly recommend Camelback Hyundai as everyone's first if not last stop for car buying. They'll do an outstanding customer service.

This place is dishonest and will not hold true to their word on the deal. Was given a price out the door on several cars that I was interested in for my daughter. Drove all the way from South Gilbert. When I got there 1 was sold and the other one was still there. After spending several hours there and test driving, I went in to finalize the deal but the price was $2000.00 more. I wound up waking away. Got home and a manager called me and said to come right back that they would make the deal. It was 9:45 pm at that point so I told him maybe in the morning. After reading reviews about this place I want nothing to do with them as I cannot trust them. Wish I could give less than 1 star. STAY AWAY!!!!!

If you get a chance ask to have Jesse the sales rep help you out he did a great job. My husband and I live in New Mexico and purchased our car online. The entire team was amazing! We had exceptional customer service from start to finish. They overnighted all of our documents to our home, I signed my portion, and my husband flew into Phoenix where our sales associate was waiting to pick him up. He completed his portion of of the process and he drove our car home. They handled all aspects of our trade in also. It was such an easy process. They made what used to be a long, daunting process one that was so easy and simple. I love my new Palisade!

My wife and i went in to look at a used vehicle, it was listed at 5,399 but somehow they managed to raise it to $8900 with tax, title, ect, ect...i would have expected maybe $540 in tax and maybe $100 in tag, title,ect ect..(my last vehicle purchase was $110 in doc/admin fees on a $6000 purchase with $480 tax, from a dealer(4 yeas ago)). The so-called documentary and administrative fees are supposed to cover costs associated with processing paperwork and registering the car. an investigation has found the fees vary widely from state to state, with some as low as $56 and others as high as $5000. The fact that some states cap the fees below $100 while others, such as Arizona, have no limits on how much can be charged shows that the fees do not reflect actual costs.Consumer Reports says car buyers should be wary of any doc/administrative fee of more than $100. and on top of that when i asked for my trade in keys they blatantly ignored that i asked for them nicely (4 times) so i could leave and they kept trying to pressure the sale, i had to get loud and swear a few times to get my keys to leave, i felt i was being held hostage. would not recommend them and say to avoid this dealer at all costs.

They are happy to help you with financing and all of the information you would need. Great customer service and I m always greeted at the door and welcomed by someone. Yannik helped me and did a great job processing my car purchase.

We came over to this dealership to just look at a vehicle but when we asked for some number the payments were out of our budget then our sales lady Tammy then found something that would work for us and our two children. It was a looooot newer car than what we looked at and the payments were better! EVEN after they still took my beat up beetle. I was so afraid to take it anywhere because i didnt think anyone would take it because of the condition it was in. The manager didnt even want to take it because it was damage and check engine like had been on but he still did because there was a car i wanted. We purchased a 2016 Hyundai Sonata and we love it ! Here its only 4 days after we baught it, the finance office at the dealership called us to come back in and re do some paper work because we got approved for an even better rate and saved awhoole lot of money now thank goodness! Only down side was the receptionist we asked for water and she was on her phone texting while talking to me pointing only said the water is in the back over there. But didnt give us a description where "over there" was. But Tammy let us know specifically where it was once we asked were the restroom was too. I would recommend this place to anyone

We saw some low reviews on Yelp, but that wasn't our experience at all. Everyone was absolutely amazing and we never once had that high pressure sale tactics. They also got us two tiers higher on the model we bought and great monthly rate. Kyle was great. Anthony was great. They finance guy was great. There were no BS. We almost bought a Subaru next door, and Hyundai offered us incredible deal. They are straight shooters. I appreciate that. My wife did all the talking since the car was for her and they did great listening and addressing her needs.
