My husband and I wanted to trade in our car and knew we had to go to Camelback Hyundai again since we did our first trade in there 3 years ago. Our sales guy Anthony was awesome and super friendly. He listened to the both of us and made sure we were always comfortable and taken care of. There was a small hiccup with finance and the lender but the general manager Joe took care of it and made sure we were good to go with the new car. He went above and beyond to take care of us. Gary our finance manager was awesome and finished our paperwork so fast! Camelback Hyundai went above and beyond for us to get our new car and showed us some military love and support. My husband and I would like to thank you all for your help, hospitality, and kindness. We will definitely be back for the next vehicle. Happy New Year!!!

Do not go there. Got approve for 2018 with $900 down. Had the car for a few days and they asked me to come back in for additional information and asked for another $500 down when I specifically asked them was there anything else they needed from me. Returned the car and got my trade in back.

I brought my sonata in for an oil change after cha...

I brought my sonata in for an oil change after changing it myself a few times. After looking at the service dates on my vehicle and without properly inspecting the engine I was recommended to perform an engine oil flush. Something that Hyundai explicitly states on their website should never be done on any of their vehicles. They even put an extra oil change sticker on my windshield to scare me into flushing after another 1k miles. I took my vehicle to another mechanic and was told that all my vehicle needed was a new oil filter (which was not done at camelback Hyundai even after I requested and was charged for it) if my vehicle was in such terrible shape why would they not change the oil filter when changing the oil?!?! Beware of this dealership. I ve never felt taken advantage at any Hyundai dealership until this one. Run run run

I went to Camelback Hyundai to look at that new sonata. I got to work with a super lovely sales person Tammy Jarrin. She was super helpful and knew her cars well. They had a great selection and had very good prices! I highly recommend Tammy Jarrin she was the best person to work with. Fantastic dealership and people. Will definitely going to do business with them again.

Went here looking to trade in my old car & purchase the 2018 Hyundai Elantra. Rob was my sales guy. He was not only a great salesman, but very patient. He explained that he was going to do whatever he could to earn my business & he did just that! I really appreciated having him to help me through the process. I also love my new car!! I bought a brand new car from this dealership on April 26th. My best friend was also car shopping and I was told that is she too bought a car I'd receive a referral fee in the amount of my first car payment. After the sales papers were signed by myself and best friend, who also bought a new car the sales guy Rob told me he was also going to give me cash out of his commission on her sale. Haven't seen a dime from Rob or the dealership. They don't answer my calls, text or emails. Take your business somewhere else, these guys will lie to you about everything!

Don't bring your car here! Visited the service center at 3:30pm on 9/12/19 for an issue with my Equus. A tall balding (bald for the most part) man who was very rude reluctantly "helped" me. I told him my issues and he only wrote down one, like he was going to magically remember the rest of the issues. After that he then turned to a colleague and said "Chris is the only one that can fix this issue and I don't trust any of the other guys to do it". Why would you say that in front of a customer? Shortly after, he informed me they wouldn't be providing me a rental car to drive while my certified pre-owned Hyundai under warranty car was being worked on because "they don't carry a fleet of cars for their customers to drive around in". He suggested I go to another dealer. After the confidence he instilled, I was more than happy to grab my keys and leave. What a joke.

I took my car into Hyundai on Camelback because I received a safety recall. The service repairman that I was working with is Ricky Williams. He was very professional and responsive. The part that needed to be replaced was ordered and the issue fixed within a reasonable timeframe based on my availability. Hyundai scheduled a Lyft to take me home and pick me up when my car was done. I love my Hyundai and have always been pleased with the service I receive at any of the dealerships I have been to.

The required service was performed right when I brought it in. The staff was courteous...waiting room is clean spacious and comfortable. everything went well. Just one of the many reasons that going to the dealer gets the work done right by experienced mechanics who are familiar with their brand of car. We are satisfied.

Another Phoenix bait and switch car dealer. Negotiated a car price via email, and asked several times that the car is in stock. Called and confirmed 15 minutes out. Upon arrival the car had been "accidentally switched to include every possible dealer option, and the salesman mysteriously disappeared. The new salesmen assured that the deal was ready for that car at the set price. The old salesmen mysteriously reappears and offers his apologies and the price is increased.

I let the general manager know my feedback as I walked out, his response "every dealer will do this". Classless .

Clicked on a vehicle earlier in the year to get some information. Got the information I wanted and made a decision after that. I've asked multiple times to be removed from their CRM as I purchased a vehicle somewhere else and am no longer in the market for a car. Actually told Justin on three separate occasions to not call me again and still I get calls almost every day. As a marketing professional I don't think they git it over at Camelback. Can't imagine what the actual buying process or owner support is like.

That's why I got my new car and third Hyundai at Chapman.

It's at the point where I'm discussing things with my lawyer.

We spent a long time at this dealership with a very nice sales man and were finally ready to buy our car based on the internet price we presented when we got there. After sitting down to buy we were told the price has been mislisted by $4500 and nothing could be done and they had no apology.

Great experience, thanks to Andrew (Tiger) Johnson. My wife is 23 weeks pregnant with twins and he went out of his way, above and beyond to make sure she was happy. He found her an excellent minivan and she is very excited everytime she drives it. He helped get us through the process quickly and handed us the keys with a huge smile.

I bought my vehicle here brand new in 2017. I have tried to have it serviced here multiple times, but the service department is less than accommodating.
Today, I tried to schedule a 30k mile maintenance check and was told they'd have to call back about a loaner vehicle, because I live and work outside of the range of their shuttle.
I called Chapman Hyundai in Scottsdale and even though they are out of loaner vehicles, the service clerk took the time to let me know that I could get a Lyft (covered by them) to go to and from work in the instance they couldn't get me in a loaner car.
I'm disappointed by the service of this dealer, especially given that I bought my vehicle new off the lot from them. Customer loyalty should be more of a priority.

A support beam in my Optima collapsed leaving my car's engine useless. I have owned my car for around 4 years and have not had an issue, in addition to being the second owner. The damage would have costed me roughly $6,000 and the warranty on the engine covered up to 65,000 miles. My Optima was at 66,491 miles but Kia completely replaced my engine, refilled the oil and managed to notice that my steering wheel had broken pins and fixed them free of charge as well! Jason F. was outstanding in which I needed a new car for a job interview early in the morning the next day. Jason did not have any rental cars he could loan me at the time. However, Jason understood my situation and did everything within his power to get me one. He managed to find a rental for me an hour after the dealership had already closed and Jason waited for me to pick up the car that night. He sent me weekly calls about the status of my engine. After i received my car back, i noticed that the new engine was even better than the last. I was able to drive from Phoenix to Los Angeles and still had just slightly over a quarter tank left; my previous engine left me just about empty for the same distance. As a college student, money and time are two things that I do not have an abundance of but i am appreciative of everything Kia was able to provide for my situation. I strongly recommend Kia of Camelback, and ask for Jason. I honestly did not expect quality costumer service from a dealership, especially in my situation that would not financially benefit Kia in anyway, but i was thoroughly impressed. Camelback has my loyalty.

Horrible experience! I wish I'd read the reviews before I wasted my time. They consistently lied to me about the availability of the car, the condition and cleanliness, and the price. I drove up from Tucson for a car posted as 13k on the Internet after four phone calls to the dealership to insure my two hour drive would be worth it. When I arrived they stated the price had risen 5k without even tax title and license fees, and the state of the car was filthy. They were completely unapologetic and tried to get me to buy another one of their vehicles. They give Hyundai a bad name, I've talked to a couple managers and there's no point exhausting any more time with these liars.

My experience at Hyundai Camelback was exceptional. It was the most pleasurable and easiest car buying experience I have ever had. They went above and beyond to get the best of everything. I enjoyed sitting and relaxing with my friend while the sales person Joe Cota brought the cars that had all of the features I had asked for in them. Even though the day was extremely hot we did not notice it because the cars were already cool when we sat in them.
I have been telling and will continue to tell all of my friends, family and coworkers about Camelback Hyundai. Everyone there was friendly.

My girlfriend wanted to test drive a vehicle. I wanted to go to with her to make sure she didn't get bullied by the sales people. She also has a trade in which they offered to appraise. The salesman actually said he had to drive it. Which we ended up doing first. Then we get back to the car lot and he continues to waste time, by trying to push on a car to show the motor will shake. At which point I directly said can we just test drive it?! After 2 trips in the building, he finally gets the keys and we take it for a drive. The whole time we let him know we are test driving other vehicles. So it's no secret. We get back to the car lot the 2nd time. He keeps asking my gf to work with him on the numbers. And is very clear and pushy about not wanting her to test drive anything else. (He didn't bother to tell us what the trade was even worth. So we literally spent almost a half hour to not get a price on trade) . I finally said there's no numbers to work on at this point. We need to test other cars. He goes to get a business card and also grabs a sales lead to continue to put pressure. We thanked them for their time and left. IF YOU ARE A LADY OR YOU KNOW A LADY YOU CARE ABOUT DO NOT GO BY YOURSELF HERE. The pushy/ high pressure sales here lives up to the reason people hate salesmen. I get it times are uncertain and everyone has bills to pay. But pressuring customers like this is unethical. Also don't feel like you need to make a purchase because you've had so much time wasted by them.

To your response no you've wasted enough of our time and pressured her enough. She doesn't need any more of your shenanigans.
We will take our business elsewhere.

Horrible experience with this dealership!!

They were rude and even though we have nicely told them dozens of times that we have already made our car purchase, they continue to call our cell phones 2 sometimes 3 or 4 times a day.

Avoid this dealership, they have a low caliber employees who are rude, dishonest, untrustworthy and inconsiderate.

Do not bother responding to me with a bogus comment about how you pride yourself on your customer service either. Judging by your 2.2 star rating, it clearly is not true. You are enabling your employees to mistreat your potential customers, give your location and company a bad name and reputation. If you truly did offer good customer service then our number would have been removed the first time we let you know we made our purchase and would not be requirining your outreach. Every other dealership we visited congratulated us on our new car and asked that we keep them in mind if we were ever interested in purchasing again later and HAS NEVER CALLED US SINCE. You should learn from your competitors, who are clearly doing much better than you and learn to respect the people who create the necessity for your job position.

I have been pounced on upon arrival at other dealerships, but Saturday was the first time I had ever been pounced on while DRIVING ONTO THE LOT. The guy approached the car and I was thinking, "are they closing?" They he says "how can I help you today?" You can let us get out of the car. Then he was obviously waiting for us when we parked. Does this tactic work for anyone? It made me leave and know I will not go back to that dealership. If management approves of this, that's a shame.

Poor Customer Service. Wasn't even greeted when I arrived and they were highly disorganized. What was supposed to be a quick 1 hr recall appointment was quoted at 2-3 hours due to them not knowing how to schedule and get cars serviced. I left without playing their waiting game. I have been to multiple Hyundai dealerships in the valley and I will never try this one again. It is not worth your time and Richard in Servicing looked like he did not even want to help out. Drive an extra 20 miles to get good customer service at another Hyundai dealership.

UPDATE: takes them 4 weeks to address customer service reviews. Another indicator they are disorganized and do not put their customers first.

Last week I bought my first car though a dealership. Not having a lot of money and not wanting to go to another private owner, I decided to go with Hyundai because of their affordability and reliability. Kristin Starks was my sales consultant and she was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was called away to help a guest that would only work with her and she handed me over to who she thought would best fit what I needed. Nicknamed "Tiger", Andrew worked to get me the best deal possible with the amount I had to work with. After working with the people in the back and me thinking I wasn't going to be able to acquire a vehicle, dew to a mistake on my part, Andrew came back with great news! I was going to be able to walk off the lot with the car a came for. After that, I talked to the finance manager and got a more manageable deal and better coverage. I am happy with the my 2014 Accent and really appreciate Kristin, "Tiger" and the rest of the team for putting my in a car before the year was out. This is my first review...I hope I didn't say too much.

I appreciate what the new management has done with the company. Almost every dealership experience I have had has been negative and lacking completely in common kindness and personable people. Service was quick and friendly employees. Nice waiting area. Would have thought my bill would have reflected the use of Hyundai oil filter and not aPNP filter. Also, the brand of oil used was not disclosed.
Since this was a freebie, perhaps what was put in and was not quite the quality. I would hate to think that.

Worst experience I have ever had. Very conniving people. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I don't know how they sleep at night. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Kristin lied to me on the phone about a price and when I showed up, she "wasn't available" to talk to me. So, they had me speak fo a man named Andrew. He fixed her dirty work and we settled on a price. Filled out all of the paper work and I was super excited. Then Jason from finance came over and added an extra $3,000! They played dumb and acted like that was the price the whole time. Awful people, awful place! Andrew seemed like a genuine person, but if I were him, I would be looking for a better job that appreciated him and didn't make him look bad.

I bought a used Honda Element from Camelback Hyundai. I seen the car on line and inquired to the dealer. I was contacted by Ron "K". I live in Las Vegas, NV and I had to drive to Phoenix, AZ to see the car. When I got to Camelback Hyundai the car was as nice as I seen in the pics and as described by Ron. The car was for my wife and she liked it very much. I was not sure we could make the deal as my credit is not great. The deal was made and was a pleased Ron 'K' and Tino and I would buy from this dealer again.....Thanks Ron Leo and Carol from Las Vegas

What a bunch of LIARS and Swindlers. Avoid this place like the plague. I went in already pre-approved for up to $35K, but they tried everything in their power to get me to use their financing... No wonder, my 60 month loan came to $175 per mo, theirs was $296!!!!! Cars been on their lot for over a month, I hope it's there another month! NO SALE CROOKS! 30 minutes after talking to my finance company they assured me the car I was buying fit their criteria, 1/2 hour later the "Manager" said the car was too old that my finance company wouldn't cover it..... LIE! I would not want to do business with people like this. The one star would be for the young and inexperienced salesman, GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!!! This is my first review ever, and normally don't leave them, but this upset me so much, that If I can save others this stress and frustration, I will.

This is the fourth car we have purchased at Camelback Kia and the third vehicle with Tyree Turner. Our experience was excellent. Tyree listened to my needs and discussed several options for vehicles. He is not pushy and makes discussing the purchase comfortable. I was able to use one of the new car incentives and get 0%Apr. The financing component was good just a little long. Tyree has gone above and beyond to find the right color car. He is exceptional and I highly recommend working with him and this dealership.

I financed my car from here. Got approved for a loan that the dealership had set up even though I had asked them not to use that bank. I cancelled the loan and tried to change it to my bank and while trying to get my loan approved, this dealership had 9 banks run my credit to try to get a loan approved in the matter of two hours. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!! Carlos, Troy and the financial manager Shannon will scam you and ruin your credit!! Carlos deliberately lied to my face the entire time. Everything they said was a lie and tried to stall me and make me think I was going to get a refund for my car but instead decided to run my credit 9 times with all different banks.

We are in the market for a new 3rd row SUV and have it narrowed down to 1 of three makes/models - the Hyundai Palisade being one of them. After looking at the first palisade this dealership got yesterday - I lined up a meeting for my wife to test drive one the following day (today).

First off after making the appointment I received 7 phone calls from the dealership from 3 different points of contact all "checking in on me" it was horrible internal communication as none of these people calling me knew that I had made an appointment to come the following day. Even the sales manager called oblivious to any prior conversations that I had. I politely told them that I was well taken care of from my first point of contact with whom I made the test drive appointment with and that they really should update their system because I had received (at this point) 6 phone calls since making the appointment. Then not 15 minutes later I got ANOTHER call.

The next day (today) - three phone calls all checking on my appointment time and making sure I was coming. Just an overkill process that seemed from a consumer perspective utter chaos internally. We are heading out of town tomorrow for 3 weeks so to fit this test drive/appointment in today was pretty tough for us. Nonetheless we did. And here is where it went from bad to worse.

When my wife arrived they told her that in order for her to be able to test drive the car they would need to run her credit and gauge how committed she was at buying that particular car she was test driving!? I have never in my life heard of such a thing. First off I had communicated to the sales team over and over that our goal was to narrow down our list of 3 down to 1 or 2 before we left for vacation because we needed to buy a vehicle as soon as we were back in a few weeks. We had a small window of time before the trip to get down to the make and model - and a small window of time after the trip to secure a vehicle. It was very clearly communicated that the objective for this meeting was to test drive the car to determine if it made the list and if so - negotiate a sale when we got back. Second we are paying cash - so running credit is irrelevant not only would it be necessary in our case because we are not financing but I wouldn't authorize it anyway even if we were purchasing a car today. They even had the audacity to tell her (even the manager saying this to her!) that if they let everyone come in for a test drive this car could rack up some miles....?? Im pretty sure that is why a dealership has cars on the lot and that people test drive cars before they purchase is it not? It was extremely unprofessional.

Lastly - as soon as I heard from my wife that we turned our schedule upside down today to get her down there to test drive this car - and it was all a waste of time - I immediately called the dealership to speak with the sales manager and discuss the situation. On the first phone call I made the first person to answer said they would transfer me to Tom the sales manger - and I was hung up on. I called immediately back and they said he wasn't available and took a message. I relayed this was clearly an urgent matter and as of almost 3 hours ago I still have not gotten a call back.

Bottom line - the communication at this dealership was a mess, it was a complete bait and switch, and the misleading lies they told us completely wasted our time. All the things that people fear and create stigmas around at car dealerships became true with Camelback Hyundai in our experience. I would not recommend nor will I ever purchase a vehicle from this dealership in the future.

I was able to get the car I wanted for the price I wanted. I appreciate how helpful and respectful everyone was to me and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I had the pleasure of working with Dana and Erwin (Sales), Tyree (Finance) and Elijah (Service) during the purchase of my Santa Fe. Dana and Erwin were very knowledgeable and patient throughout the whole process without being aggressive or pushy. They both reached out to me a few days after to make sure I was completely happy with my vehicle or if there was anything else I needed. They were both very attentive, easy going, and great to work with.

Tyree was very energetic and friendly and worked fast to get us out of there as fast as he could!

Elijah was in constant contact with me over a part that i needed for my vehicle. He made sure all of the parts were ready at the service department when I arrived so I could be out of there quickly.

I had a great experience at the dealership with every department and will be recommending it to friends and family.

Went in to view a car within our budget at an internet advertised price, turns out the car had dealer installed options such as window tint, and a zyteck paint protection package which totaled over $2000 that were neglected to be advertised. Manager wouldn't budge on taking these "options" out of the final price of the vehicle. Im not paying for extras I didn't account for or weren't shown in the advertised price.

They were very professional, quick to respond and kind with their manners in conducting business and customer service, even after the purchase through a follow-up.
The quality of the car is excellent.
The price offer was also nice and reasonable.
You won't get the same level of service around the Phoenix area, except here.

Horrible customer service 3 salesman contradicting them selves. To make matters worst the 3rd and dumbest salesman told me that the Internet sale special price was only advertising that the real price was on the window. So from a 12 thousand dollar car he wanted to sell it for 17 thousand. He also told the other sales man that he was wasting his time with us because we were not going to buy a car and after that we just walked away. After that horrible service we went to VW North scottsdale and what a difference on how they treat customers I ended up buying a nice vw jetta from them.

Waited way too long (over 2 hours) for an oil change and for the dealership to come up with the second key I never received when I bought the vehicle. I had specified when I made the appointment that I needed the key. On the plus side, they washed my car, and I really appreciated that.

I started off by setting an appointment and was unable to attend due to a family emergency. The sales manager Doug Gayagas was instrumental in communicating by text and sending best regards. I messaged the next day to see if I could get the process started digitally. I was able to get pre-approved for the vehicle I set out to get even before setting foot into the car lot. EVERYONE was so friendly, and I was greeted with a smile by Carlos Beauchamp! Carlos was very helpful in assisting me with getting into the vehicle of my dreams! This was by far the best experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle, and would highly recommend that you stop here before shopping anywhere else! I had to have my car towed to this location, as my keys were inadvertently locked in the trunk, and my car was on"lockdown." The folks here are second to none! I got to the location after Service and Parts were both closed on a Friday, But this didn't stop the Service guys from trying to help me. What impressed me MOST was the Sales Team. Mason Ring became trying concerned that I would be without my car for the weekend, and he recruited Ben Switowski, another Sales member, to try to help. They both tried their darned to do what they could and think through how they could open that trunk for me. I truly appreciated their efforts, even though the car had to remain until Monday. Despite what had happened with my keys and not having my car for the weekend, I left this place truly feeling appreciated! These guys showed they CARED about me as a person, especially Ben and Mason. Guess what? When it's time to purchase a car again, there's no other place I'd rather purchase from than Camelback HYNDAI, where SALES and Superior Customer Service (Care) mean the same thing!

It is no surprise that this business has the lowes...

It is no surprise that this business has the lowest rating of all Hyundai dealerships in the Phoenix area; and that it has extremely negative BBB ratings. Recently I shopped for a Hyundai Sonata. This firm's website prominently featured a 2016 Sonata lease offer for $168 per month for 36 months; zero due at signing; and the fine print states "Lease with zero security deposit with approved credit. Tax, tag and title and $395 doc fee included in lease price."

Before going to the dealership I called and spoke with Krystal who assured me that this offer was valid. Upon arrival, after I made clear that I was only interested in this lease offer, and that six vehicles were listed at this price. I provided the stock and vin # of the Sonata I was interested in, along with a copy of the ad, printed out from the website, in its entirety. A "general manager" - Mario - advised that definitely that deal was available, "plus tax". I pointed out that the ad stated tax was included. After driving an upgraded vehicle, I returned to the dealership and stated that I wanted to be certain the $169 per month lease offer as on the vehicle advertised was available prior to authorizing a credit check. Clearly the vehicles were still in stock; I was shown the one I was specifically interested in. After several excuses, the best one being, "there's an asterisk in the ad, and this isn't the first car you have bought, you know what the asterisk means" - well, yes I do, it means there is fine print, which in this case is quite clear. I finally said, as we were looking at the ad on the computer together; "will you lease me the vehicle in the ad at the advertised lease price?" His answer - no; and I should know better, there's an "asterisk". His best offer, for the vehicle advertised at $168 per month, was $256 per month.

In this case, the asterisk means "bait and switch". Simply put - "yes we have the vehicle in the advertisement, and no you can't have it at the advertised offer. The ad is just bait to get you into the dealership so we can try to deceive you into another deal."

Mario gives charlatans a bad name.

Fortunately, Arizona is a "one party consent" state as to any recording of conversations; so I have a transcript to support my complaint.

Originally,I've submitted a review, and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and intended to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office along with a copy of the fraudulent ad. Camelback Hyundai is part of Berkshire Hathaway Automotive group (previously Van Tuyl Group), and I had submitted a complaint to them via their corporate website, along with a copy of the deceptive ad.

Subsequent to my contact with Berkshire Hathaway Automotive I received a call from "Gary" who described himself as the "real general manager" and apologized for any misunderstanding and negative treatment. He requested that I withdraw my BBB complaint, and not file a complaint with the AG's office. He stated that I was absolutely correct that the deal advertised was valid and available. I agreed to his requests and scheduled an appointment to come in and see him. However, in the interim, I received text message from Krystal - my original salesperson - with an explanation that the "zero due at signing" meant I would have 21 days to pay $2000 plus tax, title, license, and fees, along with a :) if I wanted this lease. I telephoned Gary twice, left messages, and did not receive a return call.

Subsequently I have received 13 hang-up calls from Camelback Hyundai - one per day - verifiable from my iPhone "recent call" log.

My advice - steer well clear of this dealership. You've been warned.

Paul in service is beyond professional. It is a pleasure to take my vehicle there. Every time I go I schedule my appointment. They are punctual they started washing vehicle again. Paul also had Lyft pick me up from dealership and bring me back. My car was serviced in less than an hour. Paul walks me to my car every single time and asks me if I am satisfied and if there's anything else he can do. He is an exemplary employee and I will always ask for him. Great service all around.

I'm not really sure what happened to this place. Several years ago they were amazing and went above and beyond my expectations, they were always making sure that my car was perfect. My last few visits have been very lackluster. I have felt rushed and pushed out the door, with minimal help addressing my maintenance issues. I was told that they wouldn't fix my window that I would need to find someplace else on my own which is not the kind of care I would have expected from this place in the past, but now this is standard
