Love this cosy place, small art centre with a comfortable cafe for a laid back break. There's also a garden when you can go out on a summer day. Would recommend. Check opening times before you set off.

I ve made a number of visits to Camden Arts Centre just across the road from Finchley Road and Frognal overground station and a stunning Italian furniture emporium. An extended Victorian building it has been thoroughly renovated and updated so as to house, amongst its various exhibition spaces on two floors, a bookshop selling erudite and quite rare tomes on art, design, philosophy and much else besides, as well as a light airy cafe selling tempting cakes pastries and coffees. The main exhibition currently features abstract geometrical works by one Nathalie du Pasquier who began her professional life as a designer and clothes horse, but has since branched out into printmaking and sculpting. Upstairs she has transformed a room using walls and divisions into her own unique landscape.

While I was only here very briefly, the space is stunning, with a nice selection of books for sale. Additionally, the cafe there is great. I had a nice bowl of soup on a chilly day.

Stop in to explore, or stop in for lunch - there is something for everyone.

It was my first visit and I don't know how it is in "normal" times, but everything that needs to be in place during Covid seemed to be taken care of. The gallery itself was quite small. The venue was cold which I found to be very unpleasant. That was the case with the coffee shop too. In addition, when you walk in you can't even go close to the counter to see the cakes before you order any. Combined with the coldness, I was just very dissapointed.
The exhibition itself was very boring for my liking.

Nice galleries upstairs, always very relaxing atmosphere very good cafe.
Don't know what to make of the toilets used to be man and woman, they went through the effort of removing the urinals and now they are both unisex toilets, what i see is that most women prefer to queue and use the toilet for less able people.

Good

It is a very nice and clean place above the library. We went for the Family Take over activity in tge Drawing studio. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Quite helpful. For tge arts and crafts, tgere was plenty of things available. For a 2 and a half hour activity and for no xost, it was quite remarkable. It is near tge station and the mall is st a stones throw. Pkeanty of quality eating outlets. The centre has got 3 studios for shortt films too. I couldnt watch them properly as they were not really meant for young children. Overall it was a very good experience. Thos activity is going ro continue for another 2 weeks. I shall be going back

We visited the cafe and the small garden as the exhibition was booking only under Covid-19 restriction (no booking needed for the entry to the cafe and the garden). The garden is small but great for toddlers who enjoy walking! Cafe has the outdoor seating which would be great on a sunny day.

Saw a great exhibition here, entrance free of charge but very small. The shop has some excellent books in it but the cafe isn't amazing - had a pretty gross black coffee. Worth a quick visit.

Situated in a former library hosting contemporary art exhibitions, talks, lectures and running workshops and courses. Contemporary, resourceful and germane with a cafe, bookshop and an enclosed garden adding up to an agreeable and pleasant destination.

Wanted to see latest exhibition as hadn't been in a while. Sculpture & Art installation by JenniferTee were displayed in one gallery. Large bold paintings by German artist Daniel Richter were in the 2nd gallery. Coffee shop downstairs with outside seating as well as inside so ideal place to sit in the sun & enjoy tea & cake !! Free entry so well worth the visit.

A gem. Lovely building. Great bookshop. Affordable art in limited editions. A great art space with some really interesting contemporary shows. And art classes including one of the few pottery classes.
