After waiting for 30 minutes on hold, finally got a hold of someone who immediately placed me on hold without taking any information needed to answer my question then hung up on me while I was waiting on another hold for 20 minutes. What is this clerk doing?

This place is very unorganized... I had court I flew in from out of state... for the judge to say they couldn't find my paperwork ... this was so careless of them... ppl miss a day from work or drive from far for them to misplaced paperwork not cool....

I m here for my hubby. So many rude people that work here .

I went to court for a restraining order against my neighbor who has threatened me with bodily harm and I learned that even though you raise your right hand you can still lie to Commissioner Laura D. Cohen and she will believe you!!! I'm still dealing with my neighbor harassing me. I have 14 days hopefully I can have peace until I move!!!!

The people helping you fill out the papers for the court house are awesome. They work hard and as fast as they can to help everyone. However . The courtroom is a whole different setting. If you don't like the judge too bad. If you are a min late it doesn't go in your favor. And if your two mins late chances are your turn has been called and you loose . In other words take this court very serious.. good luck .And I mean that with all my heart .

It took many days to find the number to the correct court that I needed. Then, due to their schedule, it took several days for me to call at the right time to actually speak to someone. When I finally got through I reached a very nice young lady by the name of Jaynesha who went above and beyond to help me. If it wasn t for her I would still be looking for the answers I needed to get help. I am giving five stars only because of her. She deserves a raise!!!!

I was in and out in time for lunch. If you are running late use the $25.00 parking across the street - totally worth it. I breezed through security and barely had to wait for my case. The halls and courtrooms are well maintained.

This courthouse and all other courthouses are fraudulent,filled with secret societies,and Demonic people.If you pay attention closely, you'll be able to see lawyers,District attorneys,and public defenders throwing up the 6 and boule sign.These people are very corrupted and take advantage of the poor.

This is a public court with all the "stuff" that goes along with it...security check, lines and cold stark halls. The County staff are friendly.

Phone keeps ringing and ringing with no answer, and then hangs up on me. Trying different extensions and same result. I am calling within their business hours, so not sure what the problem is.

Spoke to a very rude clerk "Mr. Mac" in Dept 050. After already checking their website for information regarding a case I am working on, and after doing all my due diligence prior to calling the department. I also previously called the department a week ago and the guy didn't even look up my case before saying that the order id sent in was still being processed. I got put on with the same guy AND AGAIN asked me if I checked the website for an update. There was no change to the website sense calling LAST WEEK. He actually looked up my case and found that for some reason his dept had not received the Order that I sent in. I go on to tell him, I have a stamped copy showing that it was received at their filing department and he decides to go on and tells me it's HIS filing department's fault. Following that lovely bit of disregard for his own court house. I get the number for the filing department. just to get thrown from one dept to another and the correct departments phone service obviously wasn't working because it rang for seriously 30 minutes continuously until I gave up and resent the documents.. ill let you know how it goes.... FML

They need to have more detailed directions, is like a maze. Security is wonderful. If you re coming to the family law help center it will be located on the 4th floor Room 426 quickest way to enter will be through 110 N Grand St. is first come first serve for those that need help with their case. Lines do get long, doors open at 8AM and if your case is a extremely long process I recommend being outside around 630AM. Regular filling window opens at 830Am but for Ex-Parte they open at 8AM.
If you have kids don t worry they have a care center on the 2nd floor room 200 so no more excuses of why you were not on time to mediation which is on the 2nd floor and room 241. You want to make a restraining order on someone? Head to the 2nd floor which is room 245. Guardianship questions? Go to room 230 M-W in the 2nd floor also. Conservatorship is on Mondays at the Law library to open up a case courtesy of Betsedek. ****DUE TO COVID REGULATIONS THINGS HAVE CHANGED AT SMC YOU KNOW NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR EVERYTHING, TO FILE, TO OPEN A CASE AND TO GET HELP FILING OUT FORMS. A Ya has done a far better job than I can!! If anything he went EASY on them!! I heard they were biased against mother's. No, they throw mothers under the bus after stabing them through the heart and gouging out their eyes!!!

I had HUGE illegal decisions made against me. My ex (found to be a psychopath by psychiatric examination) was just too nice a guy to have done any of those things witnesses testified to. My children were taken away from me against psychiatric advice and illegally. I was made destitute by his complete lies about my retirement income and I wasn't allowed a forensic accountant unless I paid a huge fee before hand.

Had I had legal representation I would have tried to get (the scum of the earth) judge removed!!!

If I could give a grade of negative stars, I would!!!

If you get Emily T Spear, file peremptory challenge right away, I filed mine for statutory disqualification and she actually denied it, that's how corrupt she is.

Extremely Rude workers I feel some need to Retire or find a job that maybe suits you. My experience only, Bad Customer Service. Research what it is that you need and make sure you know, Exactly what you need to filed, or pick up etc.

Phone rang for a long time after telling me they were busy and my call would be answered by the next available rep. Then it suddenly cuts off. Thats stupid and insane. People dont call a court house for fun. They call because they have a need and its just annoying to be treated like this.

The people who work here must be absent because no one answers the phone when I call. I could be waiting a hour.

You have reached Stanley Mosk courthouse. The offices are currently closed . It s 7:50am when I called. Doors opened at 7:30am... Disappointing customer service. Most of time it took several attempts to get through to one person and even then, sometimes they do not answer my questions correctly. They really need to improve this system instead of giving the clerks the run around. I was given the wrong information on more than one occasion. Makes me wonder how people get hired and kept their jobs here when so many have been laid off during the pandemic.

The clerks here are the most skittish creatures on earth~

I been there one year ago for a hearing but the thing is need be early there by taking bus or train to get to the courthouse in downtown LA.

As a person who calls the court frequently I need to recognize Brittany for her amazing customer service. It is not often you get a person on the other end that will do much more than transfer you off to a voicemail, and never receive a call back. But Brittany got up and found someone who could help and get my issues sent to the appropriate person.

UPDATE: I even got a call back! Thank you Brittany and team!

Do yourself a favor and run like a sprinter running a marathon and get all the way clear of this courthouse. You will never ever regret avoiding this poor excuse of a courthouse. From the first floor clear to the last is the most pathetic organization that one could possibly imagine...it's no wonder they closed down most of their windows. Surely doesn't surprise me....

Majority employees in the filing offices are very rude and disrespectful. This is my least favorite court house. Had to come get a document from my file, turned out it wasn't completed properly. Had to go to 5 different rooms, get disrespected by 6 different people, waisted 4 hours.

To be fair I did find one good lady Brienne in 426 room, she was very informative and helpful. Beyond grateful to her.

I'm currently serving jury duty at this courthouse. By the time I'm done with my case, it would have been a month in business days. Yipee!

Anyway. I think the location of this courthouse because it's less than a block away from the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the designated location for jurors to park. My bus stops RIGHT IN FRONT of the courthouse, making my commute effortless and easy. In addition, it's about 2-3 blocks away from the amazing Grand Central Market (hot food destination) and literally right next to the Grand Park.

This courthouse is so central to everything! Unlike the criminal courthouse on Temple St.

Excellent professional staff. Lunch time is the best time to go to file paperwork.

The staff were very helpful and even the defendants were fabulously dressed. They should film a movie here.

Filling windows are the worst customer service ever. Why do they even have people working there if they are going to have a bad attitude and not listen too people s question and concerns

fulfilled my civic duty today as a prospective juror. the jury orientation ladies on the 2nd floor were great and made the process a little more bearable. s/o to them. overall, everything is pretty efficient at this courthouse -- security, cafeteria (be sure to head up to the 9th floor to see the neat view of downtown!) unfortunately (fortunately?) i did not get selected to serve as a juror, but my judge was very nice and pleasant. btw, free parking for jurors at walt disney concert hall -- just scan using your juror badge! and another btw, jurors get free entry into MOCA w/ ur badge!

Probate division customer service is a nightmare. I filed by mail without an attorney. After several weeks, followed up with a call and was told the petition was never received, which it turns out was untrue. Today, paperwork was returned for insufficient check amount with no explanation of why additional funds were required. It turns out there is a mandatory court reporter fee 50+ lines after the probate petition fee that is not listed as mandatory. When I asked how I was supposed to know to pay that, I was then insulted for not being an attorney. I'm pretty sure that my doctorate provides me with the skill set necessary to understand a fee list if the information actually is provided in a reasonable manner.

The lady behind the desk is very rude. We were just asking for information and all her replies were bitchy and condescending.

This is where the black and Mexican community grossly demean me and my lighter was stolen.

This courthouse only serves the purpose of paying criminal lawyers criminal fees to defend criminals and has absolutely nothing to do with justice. This court and the lawyers and judges that serve it uphold and defend domestic abusers, as these criminals have more money than the women and children they are destroying! It doesn't matter if it's a felon or someone who has never completed domestic violence rehabilitation if they have money they will take their children with the help of this courthouse and the judges who care only about reelection and the lawyers who continue to destroy our country and the integrity of our judicial system. How many women must kill themselves before the courts stop protecting abusers? Before the courts stop allowing custody evaluators to lie while collecting enormous payouts at the expense of the child support never instated despite the law.

The diamond lanes now have become obsolete as it mainly consists of single drivers taking over, or used as passing lanes, these days on the 405 towards the 101 freeway
California is a mess, and getting worse in every aspect of it. Crime out of control, no quality of life now with being to over crowded.. The court reviews don't sound any better either

Deeply saddened by parking ticket. I accept that I was in the wrong. Fines are a bit too high though. :(

Horrible customer service. They never answer the phone. I have called for 3 hrs and no luck...this is ridiculous.

Would give NEGATIVE 10 STARS if possible. Nearly impossible to get entry of judgment on breach of contract cases - JUDGES ARE BEHIND 8 MONTHS TO 1 YEAR - ridiculous situation. JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED. Each time I submit a Judgment packet to THIS court, I do so knowing that we will wait nearly ONE YEAR or LONGER to get entry of Judgment. Judges don't understand the paperwork and seem unable to do their JOB !!!!!! The court closures and consolidation was the WORST idea ever.

I unfortunately got a very rude judge who laughed at me in front of the whole courtroom. I'm 19 and should've been in school reviewing for my finals instead of getting laughed at. Judge Ray Santana was horrible and disrespectful. I know everyone says they're higher than us and it doesn't matter but it does. He even treated the count clerk like she was nothing. The bailiff was so respect and helpful and tried to help me stop crying at the end. Overall is you get this judge you're screwed!

The County of Los Angeles has the most brainless employees working in that building. Comprehension is lacking. If you ask a question regarding their services, they will ask another question in return. What?

Can I have fries with that attitude? Sure... here is a side of utter-incompetents. The word would be so much better if they hired people with functioning a brain that knows how to do their job.

Very unpleasant experience this morning when we were trying to file at the window, filing clerk Diana Galindo was extremely rude to my mother and I, to the point where she made her cry. We were simply following judges orders of submitting document and she belittled us and made a scene. She spoke to us in an extremely condescending tone and repeatedly yelled: I will NOT help you! You can read a book or hire an attorney if you need to file something! Other staff members noticed her behavior and approached us to apologize and then in less than 5 minutes the other staff member was able to help us comply with the judges orders. Diana Galindo s behavior was extremely unnecessary and condescending, especially considering she is a public servant of the court and is supposed to HELP not BELITTLE and BULLY. She caused my mother extreme distress this morning. I hate to think that many others have been hurt by this woman. Beware

Clear & evident lack of any ethical, legal or moral accountability with what; "mechanism is utilized under...rule, law, procedure or case authority" to justify [case-after-case-after-case]...seeking justice with counter intuitive verdict(s) that should have been different based on irrefutable evidence either declined or outright "suppressed" during past trials and outright...(fabrication, false and/or manufactured) reply narrative of Supv. Judge Steven R. Van Sicklen designated by P. E. Judge Daniel J. Buckley Jr., which should have been..."OVERTURNED." This puts the courts credibility & integrity at question after repeated complaint of corrections with ongoing repetitive judicial-patterns of [d]enying Motions.

Elva the lady who answers the phones to help with small claims is incredibly rude talked to me like a piece of garbage interrupts you with ma am, hey learn respect. Someone else should take your job you dont deserve to work here with that attitude. The la court website is a joke not easily accessible and I should not be treated like it s my fault.

They do not pick up I have been calling for two days. I went online however I didn t couldn t find what I need. I have two kids so calling all day was so frustrating. It keeps saying stay on the line but it hangs up every time I can t get through to anyone at any court house this is ridiculous!

Horrible, slow, unprofessional, and unknowlegable, lazy, foot draggers staff for filings! Avoid at all costs and use the attorney services to whom the staff sucks up to. Good grief!!!!

No one ever answers the phone. It rings and then disconnects. If someone does answer, they state they have to transfer you to a different department, and then no one answers and it disconnects. Glad our tax dollars are being wasted on their salaries for them to never answer the phone.

Terrible. Incompetent. This courthouse is a disservice to everyone.

The Sheriff Deputies are a lot friendlier. The restrooms are kept clean.

Disgustingly unprofessional and apathetic services. Sheriff's don't respond to anything but violence/gunfire. Pure criminals who do almost no serving to the public.

Clean and bright, staff is courteous and efficient. But for all the law enforcement personnel, no sense of being a government building.

Well, it's a neat building, and it's near a train station. So that's pretty cool, I suppose.

If you have to come here, you probably don't want to be here, and that's not great. It's pretty good at being a courthouse though.

8:30-10:30 and 1:30 to 3:30 on weekdays? That's the worst excuse I've ever heard to dodge phone calls.

Came here for jury duty. The ladies doing orientation and running it are so disrespectful. Talked to everyone like they were stupid. Even the older people who had trouble understanding, they wouldnt even try to help them theyd get so easily frustrated and yell at them like they were children. They dont speak spanish. Which shouldnt be a problem but there were a few people who dont speak english and they treated them horribly. They yelled at anyone who would frustrate them and they have no manners at all. You can tell everyone felt uncomfortable when theyd yell at people too.

Judges suck big time. I dont get respect at all.
I wouldnt rate it all but the only good thing is friendly sheriffs.. I lost in court to due to bad judgement.. the mediation is a big no no no.

This courthouse has by far the WORST service. The people working there do not try helping you at all. It is their job to help people and answer any questions, instead, they look at you like dirt. Very unprofessional. THEY ARE ALL MONEY HUNGRY! At least have a college degree if you're going to be giving me an attitude when I ask a question. I don't know how they pick their employees. It's a shame.

You think that you would have more people answering the phones during this covid-19 crisis, but it is the complete opposite. I can't begin to describe the mounting frustration. I have been trying to get basic filing information for an appeal on a labor commission matter and have been trying since Friday, today is Tuesday. Everyone I speak to tells me to make sure I say Labor commission matter. Still trying. This matter needs to be filed in a timely manner and no help. Good luck people!

1.5 hour lunch break? And everyone takes the break at the same time ? Their hours say mon-thursday should only have a 1 hour break and Fri they have a 1.5 hr break, it's currently Wednesday and they are still on break SMH!
