Could be a excellent company for all I know. I'm just tired of hearing your BS commercial. Listen, Nobody and I mean NOT A SINGLE serious window company is just grabbing a windows from a wharehouse and shoving them into your walls. I'm only taking the time to write this because that sort of dishonesty is a huge red flag to me. A company that earns success and reputation on its own merits shouldn't need to slander the rest of the window industry to stay in business.

Wish I had chosen a different company for my sliding doors. Defective products, repeated band-aid fixes over the course of years, poor office staff communication with techs, long wait times for appointments to fix the myriad problems they've created. Just a disaster.
They came when they said they would they did the job of one day I really like having the double windows cuz I can keep my drapes open without worrying about the sun damage to furniture or material plus the safety of the windows

We ve had the CDW windows for almost two years. We were so impressed how they replaced all our windows in the same day. Since then, our home has been so quiet from the freeway noise as well as the howling wind. No window rattle like we used to have.
The energy savings are also noticeable as our home is kept cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
I didn t give it 5 stars because the white sealer used between the outside metal frame was light brown and didn t match the white color of the frames.
Other than that, we re very happy with our windows.
From start to finish California Deluxe Windows did an outstanding job. We had 3 normal windows installed, 1 sliding glass door, and 1 garden window.
The initial consult was easy to schedule and I highly recommend anyone thinking about new windows or doors gets a free quote. Gene really new what he was talking about and clearly loves what he does. It is hard to find people who truly believe in what they are selling, but his company does. He brought sample windows with him, and you can feel the quality in the product! Cost was reasonable. Much cheaper than our Anderson quote and the product and warranty really can't be beat in my opinion. We wanted to replace our garden window which a lot of companies will not do, but since CDW makes their own windows it was no problem at all.
The measuring process was simple and fast. Our installers came on time and were very professional. They were constantly sweeping or vacuuming and keeping the place clean. They were like a well oiled machine, with each team member having a different job. The garden window in our kitchen required some changes to the tile on the counter which they discussed with me and seamlessly cut to create the perfect fit with the window.
We have had our windows and door for about a week now. We live in a condo complex. I work nights and sleep during the day, so sound was an important factor for us. These windows do not disappoint. Our condo is so much quieter now. We can still hear the noises through the walls but barely. The difference from our old windows is pretty incredible. The windows also regulate temperature so much better than before. Plus they look great. Love how the garden window turned out.
And finally a special thanks to Joyce, our HOA did not make things easy and she was very responsive and super helpful getting things to go through. She also helped with all of the permitting through the city.

I wish I had these windows installed a lot sooner than I did. The sales person was a pleasure to deal wit, the installation was done professionally by the installers and I would recommend CDW to everyone Plus my electric bill was a lot less than I had been paying.
My experience with Safelite AutoGlass and California Deluxe Windows was positive and professional. Starting with my call to Safelite through the follow up visits from Michael and Leo. Both organizations did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. If you need window shield replacement Safelite and Deluxe Glass have my recommendation.
Happy after 2 years. The windows look great, and have always looked better than what our neighbors have installed. The place is so much cooler, too Hardly use the A/C any more. We had an issue with fogging on one window, and there was never an argument or discussion about what to do. They just sent an inspector to scope it out and took care of it. Would definitely recommend this company
CDW was the best value we found for our whole house window replacement. A superior product at a very competitive price. The final product looks great, even though the install was a bit brutal to watch. We would recommend them, as we have already and use them again for other window jobs.
This isn't a rating based on the quality of their product or the install, since they wouldn't even meet with me. My girlfriend is 8 months pregnant. She's the homeowner, but I'm doing the research and helping with the decision. I live at the residence, of course. She couldn't be there to meet with them, and they refused to meet with just me. As the title says: Unbelievable! How does a business like this stay in business with a lame policy such as this? That's ok. There are many other great companies out there willing to meet with me to compete for this business. Try Cybil at American Vision Windows. She's amazing and we'll probably go with them since she had no problem with meeting with me. Plus, Cybil at American Vision was very thorough and personable, but not at all pushy.
After have the windows installed over a year ago, they have performed beautifully and the biggest inprovement is how quite the outside noise is when they are closed. The installers did a super job.
Friendly and fast service. Had 9 windows plus sliding glass door changed out in 1 day. They did a great clean up afterwards as well. Best bang for the buck windows you can get.
Good customer service from start to end. Had windows installed throughout my home recently, and the whole process was quick and efficient. Only complaint is that one of the windows must not have been installed properly, as I can hear the gusts of wind through the panels of one of the windows.
We have been thrilled with the windows we got from California Deluxe Windows. It's now been a year with the windows and they have made a noticeable difference in the interior temperature of our home through the heat of the summer (we don't have central air!). I originally had all my windows replaced ~6 years ago. I noticed a defect in the atria-like window in the master bathroom. The company who supplied the window for installation voided the contract since the window placed was not manufactured for an atria-like position, I called multiple window companies and finally found California Deluxe Windows. They replaced the faulty window which is absolutely beautiful, if you can consider a window as being beautiful. Now ai wish I had contacted them before I had my other windows replaced. Grat company. We have a beautiful custom greenhouse style ceiling to floor bay window. After 25 years the trim was bad and the dual glaze windows had failed and we had condensation problems. I tried all our local window installers and no one could replace it for us.
I happened on California Deluxe Windows at a home show. The salesman said they could do any type of custom window so I gave them a try. We had a great saleswoman/designer who visited us and helped us redesign the window for a sleeker, cleaner look. She also worked with us on price.

Sales rep came to the house, young sort of inexperienced in sales, he didn't instill confidence that he understood his product. But, I had done some shopping and the.product sold itself. I was not prepared for sticker shock!. They were 60% higher than the next highest quote. After a few calls to his boss the price came down by $3000. It reminded me of doing business at a car dealership. We signed a contract gave them a $1000 deposit. I decided to back out due to cost. They have some time restriction s in cancelation but we complied and sent our cancelation overnight with a signature required It has been over a month i think 6 weeks and three phone calls and i am still waiting for my refund. The reason for the 3 stars instead of zero is that i am convinced that it is a superior product it is just a matter if being able to afford it.
We live in the desert. Our bedroom walls are exposed to the hot afternoon sun. Since we replaced our sliding glass door we no longer need to run our a.c. at night. And talk about quiet, California Deluxe Windows added a soundproofing barrier within the sliding glass door and the difference has been phenomenal. The pounding nighttime desert winds no longer keep us awake at night. And when our neighbor fires up is diesel truck in the morning we no longer hear it. California Deluxe Windows are more expensive than local installers, but I am so glad we went with them. They pay their employees well enough to keep them and to cultivate them. Their installers are long-time employees and take great pride in what they do. The two that installed my sliding glass door were extremely efficient and made the installation look easy. This speaks volumes about this company.
Two staff members came out to put in 3 new windows. They were fast, efficient, curtious. They cleaned up after themselves. They told me when they were done, and asked me to come inspect their work. I was very impressed. I liked what I saw with the price that I paid. One thing, they were supposed to leave a sign in the front yard for a while. Never saw the sign.

This was my third batch of CDW windows that I have installed in my home. From the first phone call to schedule an estimate through finished installation, every contact has been with friendly, personable and professional people. My most recent contact was with customer service to secure re-meshing of two 10 year old screens. The job was completed very quickly, reasonably, and the screens are as good as new.
They are knowledgeable and professional, meticulous and fast. We love our new windows so much! It is nice to be able to open our windows for some fresh air and the noise difference is so noticeable, we can barely here the bus going by now!
Attempted multiple times to have this company come out to our house and give us a quote for windows . Finally after the third time of them calling us and cancelling 45 min before our appt time we finally told them we would not make another aapt. Very bad customer service. Excuse after excuse. Never would I recommend this company.
Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant one. A representative came out to my house supposedly to give a quote, spent one half hours with me measured the window i wanted and would not give me a price on what the cost would be. I put project on hold due to other remodeling
I just got a follow up call the gentlement was rude he would give price and I asked call me back at a later date and he stated: "No I don't think so." I can imagine how company does business without giving a proper estimates and expect customers to say yeah okay put in a window and send bill.

Love my new Kitchen Garden Window. Not all went perfect but CDW took care of my issues and I was extremely happy in the end. Product Specialist came out and gave us a quote and presentation. Loved the fact that she was not at all pushy. I hate pushy sales people. My current old window was not a stock size or shape. I got 2 other quotes, one about the same and one twice as much a CDW. Both were from companies that were going to break apart my tiles and stucco and fit in a factory cookie cutter window. CDW sold me on the fact that they custom make the window to fit my existing space...and the quality of the window is superior to others. It really is! It is quieter and completely insulated. Better than my old window ever was. To my complaint...I think the installation was more difficult and took longer than expected. It started getting late and dark and the installers did a sloppy job on the caulking/finishing work around the window. I was pretty upset and I called the next day to complain. They sent guys out in a few days and they re-did the problem areas. I have been looking at my new window for a month now and LOVE it! I will for sure call CDW when I am ready to replace other windows in my house.
The staff of CDW were all ready to answer my questions. They did their work professionally, did an excellent job and everybody at home were very happy with our new windows. I would recommend this company to anybody who's interested in having new windows.
TERRIBLE!! Worst experience ever! I had purchased a custom French door from CDW for my living room at a home show. From the very beginning the entire experience has been horrendous. From Customer service that does not returns calls, installers arrived late and the install that was supposed to take 2-3 hours actually took closer to 5 hours, was all bad. After my slider was removed and I had a gaping hole in my living room, the installer realized they brought the wrong window. They installed the wrong customized door until they could replace the wrong windows, but not the door that was supposed to be customized? The rubber molding was sticking out all around the glass, terrible workmanship. The doors do not stay closed unless they are locked. The trim had extra glue on that had accumulated black dirt all stuck to it. The handles are not even. If all this was not bad enough, a week later when they were scheduled to replace the windows I ordered, they called to cancel the appointment because they sent the wrong windows AGAIN!! Not once, during this whole heinous process, did I even get a call from the company or even an apology. Very disappointed!
We replaced 8 windows in our home and in 6 mos 2 of the windows have needed repair due to faulty slider mechanisms. One window had to be repaired twice. Beware of discoloration on the exterior of the window frame I have a window that is starting to yellow from the sun. And mind you that it has not been a year. I had windows replaced in my entire house 15 years ago that were lower quality and I paid a fraction of what I paid for only 8 windows and they lasted longer than these windows.
I am so happy I made the decision to chose California Deluxe Windows, the result of that decision has not only made my home look better, but my heating bill has dropped by at least $50 monthly. The double pane slightly tinted windows are awesome. They even reduce outside noise. My home had it's original windows from the mid 1960's. I should have done this year's ago. I shopped for new windows for over 4 years but always gave up, either because of high pressure sales or low quality product. Then I found California Deluxe Windows.
Gene Farber, the sales representative, was professional, informative, helpful and, above all else, provided all the information without any of the high pressure sales I'd experienced so many times in the past from other window companies. The day of the window installation, the crew showed up right on time and did an amazing job! They removed nine old windows, brought in and installed the nine new windows, and did a fantastic job cleaning everything up when they were done. They even washed the inside and outside of every window.
In terms of quality, these are the best windows I was able to find. Everything about them feels solid and well made. The latches are strong and the windows open and close effortlessly. The difference in heat transfer compared to the old windows is like night and day. On the coldest days this winter, there was absolutely no draft next to the windows. On the hot days that followed, the windows stayed cool and definitely cut down on air conditioning bills. My favorite feature of the windows turns out to be how much the reduce outside noise. I live a few houses down from a busy street and virtually all of the street noise has been eliminated by these windows. I LOVE how quiet my house is now.
I think it's really important to point out the warranty for these windows. Rather than 50 page documents of legal mumbo jumbo, California Windows warranty fits on one page and is as straight forward as it can be. Putting in new windows was a significant investment for me and I really appreciate knowing that the company is there to stand by their product.

My windows were in bad need if an upgrade. California Delux Window exolexpla in great detail how windows can make the value of a home. The windows we looked at had many great features. One of the best is the ability to clean both sides without having to remove the screens. They simlsi unlock and swivel to clean both sides. The daul pane keeps the home warm in the winter by keeping heat in and cool in the summer by keeping the heat out. They also allowed us to remove the security bars. This gives our home a more friendly look while also keeping us safe. My wife and I both love our new look.

I had an appt with a salesman, he came out and promised me he could do what I asked. I took him out side and showed him the type of windowpanes I wanted. He said they could do it and wrote up the order. Well when they came out it was not what I asked for. I called I complained and was told they would change the glass around. But it would not be what I paid for because the heat would come through and be stuck in between the panes. Over time it would crack so I did not get what I paid for. Then I had an arrogant condescending manager tell me I didnt know physics and it was all about physics. What is sad is I work around the corner from them and see their workers in my clinic. But I will not use them again.
I got great energy efficient windows at a good price. The Install was quick too. Every time I open my windows I think of CDW. Custom made for my old house. My bedroom is nice and cool in the summer months and warm in the winter months because of their amazing technology. :)
I had three pane sliding glass door installed in my condo 7 months ago. My previous sliding door window was damaged during the earthquake making it hard to open. In contrast the CDW sliding door is very easy to open with good noise suppression and heat dissipation. I am very satisfied with the product.

I am happy with the new windows, we replaced a total of 8 windows and one large sliding patio door. We had overall a good experience from the professionalism of the sales person (Van H.) to the project manager to the installers. The sales person was the first to mention that our house did not meet the new egress requirements for the city since the house was built in the 70 s, so there was a lot of cutting during installation and we ended up with bigger than the original custom windows, the city inspector signed off. The installers were amazing very high energy and polite it is nice to see people who enjoy their jobs, they finished the job in 2 days and cleaned up well. The windows are very beefy and much thicker than anything I have seen in the hardware stores, also the glass is extremely flat (based on the reflection). I enjoy opening the blinds even in a sunny day because there is no heat coming in from the sun. The normal sound of traffic (I live in a busy street) is almost gone, something I wasn t expecting. The design is very distinctive with matching trim and all weep holes covered. The window is practically air tight with 3 layers of weather strip between the outside world and the inside of the house. I highly recommend this company. Very regrettable and unfair that people would give one star to a company because they do not like the commercial
My experience with CDW was extraordinary. I first got word of them by word of mouth - a friend hired them to replace a sliding glass door and was happy with the work. So I thought, OK, let's do it.
Our house was built in 1961 and had sliding glass doors across the back of the house. The doors were doubled in an effort to insulate the house; it was an awkward arrangement that had deteriorated with age and become a nasty mess.
CDW's estimator came and measured and looked the situation over. He gave us a firm estimate, and we went ahead. A guy came out to measure for the new doors, and they put in the order. Then a crew came and spent an entire day picking out the old doors, hauling them off, and installing new, beautiful doors that have been a joy to own. The gentlemen who did the installation were a pleasure to have around my house.
I would do business again with these people ANYTIME.
I needed two new windows for my rental house. I contacted California Deluxe Windows to get a quote. On May 10, 2017 Nick Ashnalikyan and another gentleman came to the house to give me a quote on new windows. After his presentation I was told it would take 6 to 8 weeks for them to build and install the new windows. I was having tenants move in June 1, 2017 so this time frame did not work for me. I told Nick that I was going to look into other companies. I was told by Nick that since it was only two windows they could have it done and installed within two to three weeks. He assured me that the work would be completed by the June 1 tenant move in date. On May 29th, 2017 I received a call from a young lady at California Deluxe Windows to schedule the installation. She told me the earliest date they had was June 14, 2017. I informed her that Nick had made a verbal commitment to have the work completed with two to three weeks. She told me I would have to contact Nick directly. On May 30, 2017 at 10:38 a.m. I phoned Nick and inquired as to why the installation date was not in the promised time frame. He told me he had to call the owner to see what he could do, and he would call me back shortly. At 4:45 p.m. I still had not heard back from Nick so I phoned him. He told me there was nothing he could do and further told me it would take 6 to 8 weeks. I again explained to him that he made a verbal contract with me to have the job completed within two to three weeks. He gave the phone to a lady (Tracy Brough). I explained to her about the verbal contract Nick had made. She told me she had rescheduled someone so they could have my windows installed on June 16, 2017. My question to her was then why not reschedule someone to fit into my promised two to three week time frame. She had no answer other than they were very busy. It appears that Kick never did have any real intention on having the windows done within the promised time frame but instead used that deception to get a sale. The contract has a three day cancellation time frame and of course in that short time I was still under the belief that there would be no breech of verbal contract and that the work would be completed in the promised time. Now I will have to provide reasonable accommodations for my tenants during the time the windows are being installed, also they have to look at a large piece of plywood until the window is installed.
From the get-go, from sales, to scheduling, everything was great. Upon installation I was disappointed in the "look," not the quality or installation. CDW Client Services came to my home, understood my concern, and provided me with the perfect alternative. I cannot say enough good things about their product, their customer service, or their installation teams. Despite the initial hiccup -- which was based on my misunderstanding, not theirs, -- they made sure that my experience was completely positive. Many thanks. My home is very special to me.
Finished on time, fixed broken water pipe, and added the finishing to the large window you did not replace. Also, cleaned up afterward and washed the windows!
I went to their showroom in Chatsworth and met the CEO of the company. He gave us all the technical advantages of their windows compare to their competition. We have seen Milgard before and we think that CD windows are more superior. The difference in cost was nothing to change our minds for. We like our windows now. We made a right choice.
I replaced (2) 25 year old sliders with CDW sliders which were a bit pricey and the framing around the sliders was not discussed (shame on me for letting that get passed me) so I was surprised to see 3 inches of what feels like a thin metal covered in vinyl framing on the inside around the sliders ... That being said the sliders are great ... the handles and locks and the feel of the sliders is quality for sure ... The customer service was great as well ... 4 stars instead of 5 given for lack of salespersons framing discussion ...
I had an extremely good experience with CDW. I had gotten quotes from 3 well known window companies and not only did CDW give me the best price, I felt their product was the superior of the 3 I looked at. And my sales rep Jairo Banos was wonderful. He did not try to pressure me to make a decision on the spot- like the other guys did and he didn't try to bad mouth the other companies like the other guys did. My windows have been in now for around 6 months and I love them!

I purchased windows and doors (warranted for breakage) from Aaron four years ago and couldn't have been happier UNTIL our home was broken into in December and one of the windows was broken, we have made repeated contact to get it replaced and the response from the warranty department. After three months they finally send a crew and they did not have the glass. Now again all we get is crickets. No response. What gives CDW.....??

We had 10 windows installed this past weekend by California Deluxe Windows. From the initial visit from our sales rep to the installation of the windows, this company and everybody we've been in contact with has been so professional. We had to reschedule our installation at the last minute due to severe weather & a power outage - no problem at all, the company was very accommodating with us. The windows were installed at our cabin, which was built in the 1920's with stone/concrete outside and bark trim inside the windows so I was very concerned about potential damage to the interior/exterior. The installation was flawless and we couldn't be happier with the windows. We are also located in a very remote, difficult to reach area and many times, contractors are unable to find us or just don't show up. The crew showed up on time and took such great care with our cabin and our windows. We highly recommend California Deluxe Windows.
I am so disappointed with CDW don't fall for their promises.it took them almost an year to do my 10 Windows and 1 sliding door. Not happy with that outside air coming inside .

FALSE CLAIM: They are the only company to make and install their own windows. TRUTH: There are many custom window makers that make install their own windows
FALSE CLAIM: Other contractors break open your wall, grab a window from a warehouse, and shove it in. TRUTH: Large window manufacturers like Anderson, Marvin, Pella, Milgard, all make windows to custom sizes. Lead times commonly vary from 3 to 8 weeks to make and ship, since they are not premade in some warehouse.
FALSE CLAIM: Their installation technique is so precise and the widows fit exactly so there is no need to break open the stucco (or other exterior finish.) TRUTH: They are describing a replacement style window that fits into the frame of the old window. Many other manufacturers make windows for this application. The disadvantage to this is that replacement windows can still leak if the old frame is damaged, rotted, or installed poorly. A window for new construction used in a remodeling application requires opening the wall in order to correctly flash, i.e, waterproof the window. These types of installation will not leak if installed correctly.
A FINAL NOTE: Custom windows and replacement style windows have advantages and disadvantages that make them suitable for specific applications. Make sure you educate yourself about what type of window you are looking for. Also, know that custom windows from smaller makers are often not tested and rated, so if you need to meet specific energy efficiency requirements or plan to apply for energy efficiency tax rebates/credits, you may need to stick with a large national windowmaker.
