California college is a well paced school. I get a great schedule that works with my working hours. The instructors are outstanding. If you get stuck, don't be afraid to ask. You will have a great deal of one on one transaction with your instructors. I hope everyone receive the same great experience as I am having.

I have no idea how these people initially got my contact information as I never applied to the school in the first place. I went through my phone log, and they've called me 21 different times in one week, usually they start calling around 8am...which is just lovely. They never leave voicemails, but the one time they did, the woman on the phone was an absolute snot. Their constant phone calls make me want nothing to do with the school, especially since it seems credits don't transfer well. I've already told a few people to please stop contacting me, but obviously that didn't work...so maybe they'll read this? I've never felt so annoyed by college before.

Like anyone researching a new experience, I was a little skeptical. I can say that I have nothing but good things to say about this school. I have learned so much and the instructors want to make sure you succeed. The only requirement for doing well here is to be serious about advancing your education.

It has been a great school so far! I have less than 5 months until I graduate. The staff are amazing! The professor are great! Overall it s a great school! The staff care about the students as well as the teachers. I m glad I decided to pursue my education at CCSD.

I only attended this school because I only had 6 months to finish my associate degree. Most of the student don t show up to class and most of the professor there are not even experience to teach the courses from what I experience and didnt know what they re talking about. There were only two Professor that I love and they knew their stuff. Other than that all the other professor didn t know anything. This school is such a waste of time especially when it comes to veteran going to school there. The person that s in charge of the post 9/11 gi bill explain to veteran that why will get the full benefit of the gi bill for BAH and will give out misleading information, which you don t get the full BAH due to the class starting mid month. You ll only get about $2100 a month for BAH instead of $2600 in San Diego. Some of the financial aid planner there don t even know what they re talking about nor know anything. Thanks for the misguiding information. I also had a problem with the person that was in charge of the post 9/11 gi bill telling me that I ll get my BAH when it shows up in my bank account. They wouldn t even give me my financial aid because they said that I didn t qualify for it. Weeks later they needed to me to get a paperwork stating that I haven t filed taxes in couple years and the person that ask me to do it end up doing it for me without my consent and didn t bother to notify me. He even filled out the paperwork with my social security and my information to the IRS for the paper work to show that I haven t filed taxes within the last year. I also have proof of email stating that he file the paperwork for me in the email he sent me. After showing him proof for haven t filing taxes the school still wouldn t give me my financial aid money and I went on ahead to contact Fafsa inspector general to file a complaint against the school. The inspector general contacted the school and told them about a complaint and the school contacted me and ask me why did I file a complaint against the school for the financial aid. After that complaint the school finally gave me my financial aid. The staff there do not know anything and will give you mid leading information. I hope the Board Of education is reading this. This college is mainly built for high school student that just graduated high school. Student that are wanting to attend this college should give it a second thought and you re better off going to a college that you would actually learn from.

I've been at California College San Diego since May of 2016 pursing my AOS Degree in Medical Specialty and hopefully move forward with my Bachelor. It was a different experience transferring from Sacramento State University to a small career school and so far I'm really enjoying it better than at a CSU. (I moved because my Navy husband got stationed here) All of the instructors and staffs are very nice and caring which is GREAT that's what students need, lots of motivation and support. Classes are small size, tutors are available and FREE, there's a book loaning system which mean you don't have to pay for your books, how great is that? Sure this school is expensive, which private college isn't? Hard work pays off if you put effort, time and patience in it. Here at CCSD, there's positive mindset, positive vibes, and a great school for you to start your career.

Do not do it! I initially came to this school to attend the x-ray tech program. After my first week or so at the school, They notified us that they will not offer that course. Needless to say I was not happy about that. The advisor said that I could get an Associates in Medical Specialties.

Since most of the schooling was being paid for, I decided to stay with the school. Only to find out a year and change later that "Medical Specialties" is a fancy word for Certified Nursing Assistant....More than half of our class did not pass the cert test.

For the most part, most of the teachers I had were decent. Some pushed us more than others. The curriculum was pretty easy and a lot of the test where open book/note. Probably in attempts to keep their numbers up. Some of the labs did not have adequate equipment, supplies, etc..

I can go on and on but I really want to hammer in a couple points. One, California College San Diego is not respected in the medical field. I can't think of anybody who went into the field from my class. One of my old classmates did get into the medical field but via another school. Don't think getting a "degree" here is going to immediately turn your life around.

Two, The credits you accumulate are not transferrable. I can not reiterate how important this is. I was checking out National University and they told me all 100 credits I have are pretty much useless and are not transferrable. Thinking I am a couple years away from my Bachelors, I am no closer than I was in 10th grade. The only way to use those credits is by going back to this janky school.

Lastly, This school is extremely pricy. You pay a premium to go to a school in a strip mall. The laptop is nothing special and is very basic. I owe them a couple grand and they used to hound me everyday! Crazy phone calls. I would tell them that I am not going to pay anymore for a useless degree. They still call. Had to change my number.

The knowledge you get is not retained as most classes are accelerated. They push you to pass by having open book tests and other tactics to keep the weak students in something that they will ultimately fail in. A lot of the teachers could not control the classroom giving it a high school vibe with plenty of distractions and clowns.

I would not recommend this school to my worst enemy. I don't understand how they get away with swindling people with pipe dreams. I graduated in 2014..Maybe things have changed but I seriously doubt it. Look around, Research, Ask people, Do your due diligence. Do not make the same mistake me and hundreds of people have made.

If you want to fill out tons of surveys after every class then this is the school for you. they will call and harass you if you miss a payment. they have some great teachers, but online classes from independence university suck. San Marcos campus is a great location. they have great staff there and really care about you and your education.

Do not give them your contact information, once you do you will not be left alone to "return" to this school. I've asked nicely and aggressively to take me off the call list. I've been contacted by text, email and phone call. Worse customer experience. I went here for about 2-3 months. It was a waste of time. The courses are death by PowerPoint, outdated, and if you are resourceful, you can find all the homework online already completed. this school was a waste of my GI BILL, I'm just glad I realized it sooner rather than later.
