Awesome place for kids, and adults who loves animals, "free parking", "free get in". There's a good size parking lot, they also have a little shop. Their ice cream is THE BEST I EVER HAD. ( I actually came back the next day to get more "red velvet ice cream"). We went here for my son's friend's birthday party. Boys and girls had so much fun running around , playing and feeding animals. It is a wonderful quiet place to take the kids to see some real farm animals. There is a little barnyard smell but the farm itself is very clean.

It's a cool experience. A very cheap day of fun for the family. The only money you spend is, if you choose to feed the animals, or buy something from their cute little store. We come a few times a year. Definitely recommend going, if you haven't!

Visted this dairy farm as a part of my childs field trip from the school. A perfect place for kids to watch common animals upclose, feed them, understand how milking is done, enjoy a tractor ride and walk along with ducks, swans and peacocks. Staff make sure vistors are safe during entire tour, educate kids on dairy farming , answer questions patiently. Its a nice place to take your young ones. Entry fee was $10 per person that also included a fresh ice cream.

We have been taking our children and grandchildren here for years. It is free and I believe open 365 days a year. The cows are milked twice a day and the barns are always open for viewing. There are cows, goats, ducks and geese, horses and donkeys and bunneys. There is also a store where you can purchase Calder dairy products, candy and other novelties.

Awesome

Calder's Dairy and Nature Farm is a great place for families and children. You can hand feed geese and ducks, and the products are high quality. There are several natural grocers such as Plum Market in Ann Arbor that sell Calder's Products due to the quality of product. Highly recommended to visit the farm if you are ever in the area.

This place it's so cool for kids. Lots of animals and stuff to see. If you've never had their chocolate milk it's the best on the planet. If you have, you know what I'm talking about. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!

Best place for kids! My 2 year old loves it. There are so many animals and you can feed most of them. The ice cream is the best any where. You can even get fresh milk and cheese. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! We absolutely love it here.

Delicious ice cream! My kids loved all the animals and were very interested in the milking process and in feeding the goats with the conveyor belt. You can purchase goat food and goose food for $2.50 a bag. They thought the peacock was great, too!

Very good ice cream.

I still have not figured out the best way to cut their eggnog in a non-alcoholic way.

Calder Dairy and Farm is a real farm with a real dairy right here in Metro Detroit! They make their own own ice cream, yogurt and butter that you can buy from the farm or either outlet store. It's real ice cream made by people who love ice cream for people who love ice cream. Their chocolate milk is the best you'll ever try. You owe it to yourself to try both! Visit the farm at their Monroe location because it has a free petting zoo! The employees are great and the atmosphere top notch! You gotta go!

Took the kids and our nieces that were visiting from California. They had never been on a working farm before. Was a great experience seeing all of the animals! I love that a lot are free range just walking around the cars or wherever they feel like going! The peacocks are beautiful and the ducks are so playful and ready for you to feed them a snack! The store had products made on the farm. Fresh milk, ice cream, but the chip dip is the best! A great way to spend the afternoon hanging out with the animals and end it with a snack that the animals themselves provided for you!

This is a great farm experience. Active dairy farm. You can watch the milking process. Lots of farm animals too! It also smells like a real farm. Explore the farm, pet the animals, and then eat ice cream made on site. Great trip.

I had a field trip here back in 2009. I remember when we went in the cow pregnancy room, and there was a cow ready to be milked. The tour guide asked if anyone wanted to milk it, and nobody did until I stepped up. In the photo, if you look closley, you can see the stream of milk from the utter. One of my BEST farm experiences, and haven't refrained from coming back here atleast five times a year. Another experience was feeding a baby cow from a giant bottle. I have the picture from that, too. My mom always wondered who was happier; the calf or me. :) PLEASE go visit this place, don't let the negitive comments get to you. Never a dull moment here, and probably will never be one.

Lots of farm critters to see, pet, feed and enjoy. Fresh dairy products available. Great ice cream, but pricey. Nice setting but not much concrete. Lots of mud after rain. Be prepared to walk a bit.

Grounding to see farm life from the field to live cow milking to the dairy products for sale on the spot. Various animals, like a trip to a zoo. Plan on visiting again and supporting Calder Dairy and Farm.

It's a pretty neat place to visit. It is a farm... It smells (what do you expect?) You can see the cows, goats, pigs, geese, peacocks. The store on site you can but the best chocolate milk ever. They also have regular milk and strawberry. There is ice cream and butter. They even sell milkshakes, malts, ice cream in cups and cones. Worth checking out if your into that sort of thing or just want to swing by for some homemade ice cream, shakes, or Malts...

Perfectly Carleton MI. Small town farm with some of the best homemade ice cream. The farm animals and kitty are the friendliest around. Very sweet young adults working on the farm. A go to place for the littles.

Worst customer service I ve had in a long time. I tried to set up delivery, and was treated like my business was a massive inconvenience to them. I understand being put on a waitlist this year. But being told I would have to be home when the driver got there during a week day. They would talk to the driver and call me back in an hour about what time. Two days later I called them back to find out what was going on. They kept saying they would talk to the driver, but no communication ever seemed to take place between anyone who works there. I called before my delivery was supposed to happen, because I had to go to work and things needed to be clarified. The day after I was supposed to get delivery they called me back and said they didn t know who I talked to, and wanting me to pay when I never actually got anything delivered. I will be telling everyone I know what an unprofessional mess my experience with this company was. So much for trying to support local.

I love Calder, my children love to visit the farm. Some of the reviews I read are out right lies. It sucks seeing such a great place be bad mouthed. I have gotten into the habit of seeing all the places Google users may have reviewed, and if they are all negative reviews I don't trust them.
