One of the best views in Paso Robles and the central coast in general. The wine was average with a couple very good wines but the atmosphere overshadowed the tasting with it's stunning view. The gift shop has lots of cool items and i did not get a chance to try the food but the menu looked really appetizing.

Great Place to relax and taste wine. The views are spectacular and you feel your on top of the world at Calcareous Vineyard. This is a must see. Check out their Google Virtual Tour before you go.

Alway a great place to visit and have lunch with a great glass of Kate's Zin. The scenery is breathtaking, the food is amazing and the hosts are friendly and accommodating. Of course all the wines are fantastic. Lloyd's is my favorite.

Lisa really looked aftee our group. She did a wonderful job of explaining the really good wines from calcareous winery. What a nice location. We had a really good bottle of wine and watched the sun go down.

Wonderful experience! Staff, service, knowledge of wines, and attention to detail were all on point!! Most importantly, outstanding wines, and the best views in Paso. It is a "must" when in Paso Robles!!

What a great experience!!! The view was stunning and relaxing, with a great light breeze to keep us cool. The service, specifically Bryce, was absolutely fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, passionate about wines, and very fun energy. And lastly (and most importantly) the WINES. Every single wine hit the ball out of the park. We literally had such a great time that we became members. Thank you so much for such a fantastic experience. We are so excited to be part of the Calcareous Family!

Unprofessional uncaring unaware. Despite having good wine the people who work here have alot to learn about appreciating their wine club members and about customer service They neglected to be discrete when letting me know my card had declined choosing instead to let me know at a conversational volume with other customers present I own a business and ALWAYS discretely let the person know in hushed tones because this news can be embarrassing. Other issues have been very poorly handled as well. These guys arent the only game in town although they act like it. I wont return and will cancel my membership.

A must see and taste when in Paso! Love their wines (especially the Lloyd) and the food from Thomas Hill (on weekends) is delicious. Grab a table and enjoy the view. They are also very people and pet friendly!

The wine was fine and we didn't end up buying any here. That said - unbelievable views - straight out of a painting - and they serve a good variety of food if you need lunch with your wine.

One of the best vineyards in the area; Familiar, nice, careful attention and many gifts to buy. The best part was the personalized tour they gave us without having previously booked, but they took the trouble to show us the place with joy.

There are other wineries with a view this good but not with wine this good! This is a great place for big bold red wine. I personally like Moose . It s not always available but it s worth asking for. It s a great place to take a picnic lunch.

I brought a bunch of people up here to check out the vineyards. We were on a motorcycle trip from Los Angeles to Paso Robles. I did a bit of research and this is one of the vineyards we stopped at. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We did a tasting and really enjoyed our time here. Left the vineyard with some great bottles of wine. Spectacular views

My family and I just returned from 3 nights in Paso. We enjoyed the wines and the venue so much we joined their wine club (our first wine club membership ever). Calcareous was the highlight and I am so excited for our future wine deliveries.

A (tasting) room with a view... one to be remembered. Simply stated, Calcareous serves a variety of very nice, subtle wines and delicious lunches to accompany them, while you immerse yourself in one of the most spectacular views/settings on the Central Coast. Well worth a visit.

4 wines on their tasting flight. Wine was great, particularly the white. A bit expensive for my taste for what you get. Service could have been a bit better, and there were a few bees around that kept pestering us as well.

Good for them, but sad for us, this place is super popular. Don't expect to meet the winemaker or discuss carbonic maceration. Just shut up and enjoy the amazing views from their tasting room. Wine is good. Service was great.

I recently had a wonderful tasting experience with my family here at Calcareous. After the tasting, we took a couple of bottles outside and had a very nice picnic. The young man pouring, Dmitri, was very polite, friendly, professional and attentive. Thanks Dmitri!

My girlfriend and I were hesitant about coming after reading some of the reviews, but we wanted to check it out for ourselves. It was our first time wine tasting, and to say the least, we re glad we experienced it here. Our host was kind and attentive, which we appreciated since we were new to this.

Received a very bizarre phone call less than 48 hours before our reservation being told that it was being cancelled due to the weather. I had a 3:30 and the only other time they offered was 9am. When I inquired why they waited so long (leaving me with limited options to book elsewhere), I was rudely told I can t predict the weather. Ironic, given they were using a weather forecast to make this decision in the first place.

Great service, beautiful views, great wines and yum food. What more can you ask for? Highly recommending this place. The lunch menu, while not extensive, was very good. We had the moose pizza and the chef's salad. We also decided to skip the tasting and purchaseda bottle of the syrah. It was very nice. Overall a lovely weekend spent in Paso Robles.

What a great time. There was six of us, we are all good friends, since elementary school. Laugh so much today. Four of us did a tasting flight while two others had glasses of wine. Jackie took are experience to another level. My wife and I have been going to wineries and tasting for many years in many places and Jackie would have to be put on top of the list of pourers. Her knowledge of wine and how she explains it was great without beings pretentious . The wines were excellent, ended up joining the club. Thanks

Our first time at Calcareous was lovely .... good drive right up the hill and stunning rolling hills views from this beautiful Winery . The service was excellent, as we reached about half an hour earlier and they immediately showed us our table . Wines were pretty good considering it s just $20 per person. We ordered couple of pizzas ,which were alright nothing great but they served us well specially in Covid times . Their Wines are very fruity and young . But overall we had a great time , I won t mind going back specially for the views

We stopped there for wine tasting. The venue is nice. Wines are good but not outstanding. We ordered two flights and started eating some snacks we'd brought with us when one of the male waiters who was apparently feeling very entitled told us "guys, we cannot allow outside food here" without providing any good reasons for such policy. They probably wanted us to order some food in addition to our flights. Next to him was a sign saying " picnic area" ... A very nice female waiter partially offset this negative experience by offering our kids some bread sticks. If you do not want people to bring outside food, replace your "picnic area" sign with one that states this rule explicitly.

Must go. This is our go-to spot for picnic lunch with wonderful views and delicious wine. Calcareous might lack the fanfare of Daou, but it bests Daou in wine quality and comfortable, familiar atmosphere. Do a tasting of above average to excellent wines, grab a bottle and enjoy the view. Great folks working there, too!

Stopped here to check Chardonnay. 2014 was awesome. Oakey, buttery, just like we love. 2016 version was like many other Chards now more stainless, less oak. There GSM was awesome so not a total loss for us.

Absolutely stunning view, really need to take a few minutes to take it all in! We were the first people in the morning and were pleasantly greeted by the staff. Dimitri was so kind and personable, offering fantastic service and answering all of our questions! Their tasting menu had good variety and we appreciated the little surprise and delight moment at the end as well as prepared by the chef but I will not ruin the surprise You have to go check it out for yourself ;-)

$10 tasting for 4 wines. I really enjoyed the Chardonnay 2013 and ended up purchasing it. Getting to this winery was a little tough as it's a little off path and the road is narrow. But very nice when we arrived. Will be back!

Extraordinarily disrespectful staff. Moved us from our table (that she said was assigned to us) explaining that they needed it for a larger group. The table they moved us to was the exact same size but bordering the parking lot. When we pointed this out, she just stammered something about trying a different routing. Then she tried to put a reserved sign in front of our original table. Poor customer experience, at least move us to an equivalent table if you need to move us, the majority of place was empty.
