CAA has never done anything for me, zero support. I signed up to be a lifetime member when I was about 25, and not once have I ever even received the magazine that I was promised was part of my Alumni Membership. There is almost no alumni network presence at Cal. It's really to our detriment. While I look fondly upon my college years, I cannot endorse the Cal Alumni Association.
Bloated and ineffective. I sent in suggestions several times in the past to no effect. I compare UC Berkeley's alumni association's work with my other university associations and it's not even comparable really. No organization of regional alumni meetings, no meetings by industry or special interest meetings even at their beautiful facilities on campus. So much untapped or poor use of resources.
