Great spot near campus to get a drink or grab a bite. Pace yourself on the Tea's

Awesome place to get good food and people watch. Do not go later than 7ish, unless you like crowds.

Your classic dive bar. Fun place to visit in Austin right on the University's campus. Good prices for the drinks (college bar). Would definitely go there again when visiting.

Been coming to this campus dive for over 30 years (it's been through a few name changes). Food is much better than it was when I was in college and the beer menu is top notch.

It s a college bar, as long as you keep that in mind it s a fine place to get a drink. I ve only had one of the burgers and the wings, but both were fine. Good place to go if you want to watch an UT football game.

I went there this past weekend, food was good and service was great. It seems they only have one waitress doing all the work. Although she's amazing, hiring more waiters/waitresses is necessary.

The burgers are delish! Staff is great. When you walk in it may seem like a dive college bar but its so much more. It's walking distance from work and the menu has tons of options at decent prices. I had been craving a REAL Burger not just fat food patty and first we tried the ones at Sapo's near campus. So disappointed for$15 dollar burger at Sapo's the patty was not fresh and not worth the price. We went to Cain & Abel's paid abbit$10 bucks for a burger with Black Angus meat, goat cheese, avocado- I'll let the pictures speak for itself

$1 beers, Texas Tea w/ 4 and a 1/2 straight shots for $7 and $2 dollar white claws.....What is not to love...We had a blast!

Needed a quick bite for lunch with the family - I was very surprised at how good the food was - whole family was happy - will go back if I'm in Austin - top notch

This place is pretty cool, they let you bring your dog in as well and you can eat outside with it, it is pretty fratty at times though so if you dont like that then steer clear but all in all it was enjoyable and the food I got was pretty good, the el Toro sandwich which is a different take in the philly cheesesteak. Its located pretty close to the university as well. Seems like a pretty good place to get a drink as well as long as it's not too busy with games going on, but if your older and not into noisy young people it might not be for you!

I've been here for 30 minutes, and nobody has bothered to take our order.

I mean it's a classic hangout spot for students, but I hurt myself twice on random nails that we're sticking out from random spots along seating areas.

Honestly fairly good. Try the fries which are a ridiculously good value and so are the drinks and the bartenders have a fairly heavy pour. That said the crowd can get a little "fratty" at times.

Good place to casually grab a drink or two there s no need to dress up. The Texas teas are really good and cheap. Can get really crowded and hard to get to the bar at some times

Met great friend to celebrate the ability to obtain Luckreunion tickets so we get the opportunity to see The Marcus King Band and of course Willie!

I technically wasn't here. Would've given 5 starts but the Horns lost.

It's a typical college bar, complete with overpriced stale craft beer and 32oz liquor drinks. Bar staff was friendly and mildly helpful. $20 for a pitcher of stale beer is not my idea of a good time.

Enjoy Abel's over the years. Service and quality of food can be hit or miss. Today miss. Had to clean my own table and food was on one of the down days.

Great spot to get drunk at after class! Not too mention the staff is friendly enough to call an Uber for me! Highly recommend if you re looking to hang out and relax.

The food is average, beer is cheap and packed with college kids since it's right near UT.

Classic college dive bar. Good value on pitchers of Lone Star. Jukebox and pool tables round it out. Typical hangout for frat guys and on-campus engineers alike.

Very student place - cheap drinks. Have a pool table.

Great burger and fries for lunch. Was looking for a down-home, roadside type greasy-spoon type restaurant. Was not dissapointed

It is a pub near UT. It is also a place where a lot of people often come to enjoy a football game or other sporting event as a drink. Unfortunately, the service here is not as good as other taverns, and the waitress is alone, so it takes a lot of people to order one drink and one meal for many hours. The liquor menu did not exist and it was very difficult to decide what to do. If you hire more people and make liquor menus, I think it will be a better pub.

I went there for a tailgate and it was packed. The crows was great and the texas teas have a big kick.

The people are kinda douchy.. but Texas Tea is good.

Pretty much a quintessential college bar. Good food and lots of beer and Texas Tea. Dollar Beers on Tuesday is a UT classic.

My first time here and am leaving very full and happy! Not too expensive, good drinks, fun atmosphere, good music!
